I'm writing a review for my daughter's wedding last month because I know how important reading these reviews was to us as we were planning! The Grand Hall was an absolutely beautiful venue for their Saturday evening wedding in September. So many people commented on 1) the ease of staying at the hotel, 2) the beauty of the hall, 3) the food, 4) the layout of the bar, 5) how well the room turnover was done. From the side of the people hosting the wedding, we are pleased in particular with 1) the bridal suite, 2) the opportunity to taste the food selections, 3) the detailed contracts that outlined every single point, 4) the hotel room block prices on a busy Colts game weekend, 5) the attention of the staff at the event, 6) the flexibility in making changes up until the last minute. The family was saying the day after the wedding "I can't understand why anyone would get married anywhere else!!" We had a number of older family members (4 sets of grandparents!), so it was particularly nice that they could get hotel rooms and easily go back and forth as needed during the rehearsal and all day of the wedding. The trickiest part of the event was parking just because of where the hotel is located downtown and its lack of parking lot. But the venue helped us provide all of the guests with easy instructions for valet parking or the parking garage next door. We were concerned people may have problems, but there wasn't a single complaint about it by anyone. The venue is old, so expect some chipped paint and worn cushions here and there. But it's also majestic because of its age. The space is perfect for holding a ceremony and then doing a room flip to the reception because of the huge bar area. There's also a great space for the bride and groom or wedding party to have their own little cocktail party and looking out on everyone. There are plenty of areas for photo booths or other entertainment in addition to the dance floor. Because they have done so many weddings, they anticipate your needs and have suggestions for what they have seen that works well. There were little details they suggested (like adding cocktail tables to an open space) that we would not have thought of but contributed to the overall effect. There was a bit of staff turnover during our planning, so we didn't work with just one person in particular. But in the end we had Megan and Ashley and they were so incredibly kind and helpful that it totally made the day!

Choosing Union Station as our wedding venue was the best decision we made!! Not only is the space stunning and historic but the entire staff was wonderful! Especially, Casey who was there for us every step between the tasting and the big day. All the catering staff was also amazing! Highly recommend!
