We would highly recommend Gourmet Gals as a wedding caterer in the Austin area! When we were looking for a caterer initially, we liked the sample menus Gourmet Gals had on their we...
bsite. We explained to them what we were looking for in our menu, and they put together an awesome menu for a proposal that perfectly fit what we wanted. There were cheddar biscuits, a grilled peach and pecan salad, beef tenderloin, chicken dijon, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We were able to do a tasting at their location in Austin, and the food was AMAZING. We brought along a couple of family members for the tasting and they loved the food too. Gourmet Gals asked for feedback on each item so that they could adjust based on our feedback.
They also worked with us to accommodate vegan and vegetarian guests, as well as a guest with a severe dairy allergy. They made sure that each guest had their dietary needs met, and completely separately prepared items where cross-contamination would be an issue. The vegan/vegetarian options included some of the above menu items as well as penne with tomato sauce, quinoa stuffed bell peppers, and rosemary roasted potatoes.
The day of our wedding, the Gourmet Gals crew were super professional. They had worked with info from a Pinterest board we had to make sure that the buffet table matched our theme, and they did a great job. The food was so good. Multiple guests commented on how good the food was. The beef tenderloin was so tender and juicy (even when we microwaved it the next day as leftovers). I personally am not a huge fan of red meat, but their beef tenderloin may have convinced me otherwise.
At the end of the night, they worked with our wedding coordinator to make sure two meals and some cake were in our getaway car. We were so glad that they thought of this and thoroughly enjoyed eating the leftovers once we got back home the next day while we discussed everything that happened at our wedding.
Overall, we’d highly recommend Gourmet Gals to any couple getting married in Austin. Their experience in the wedding industry shows through their delicious food and impeccable professionalism.
Gourmet Gals did a great job on our wedding day! Everyone raved about the food and we had no issues the day-of. I also felt that they were very affordable for the quality of food. ...
The reason I dinged a star was that, in the last month leading up to our wedding, I caught multiple issues with our order. The vegan option on the menu had been changed without alerting me and after I had already ordered printed menus. The rental numbers (linens, napkins, utensils) were also off. Both of these issues were corrected after I pointed them out and the owner personally called me to apologize, but it was a headache I would have rather avoided.

ing. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!
The food was phenomenal while also being affordable!! Seriously our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was and how “that was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!” We even had some guests ask which restaurant it was from so they could have that meal again lol
Ari, our point of contact, was also fantastic!! He was incredibly easy to work with and always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. His attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything was perfect really stood out. Their team made a point to ensure my husband and I had someone bringing us food during cocktail hour and that we had everything we wanted. They also helped with a lot of the setup for our wedding and ensured the breakdown went smoothly.
If you’re looking for the best catering team in the Austin area that will impress your guests and make your event unforgettable, Gourmet Gals Catering & Events is the way to go! We’re so grateful for the amazing food and the excellent service! Our food will forever be one of the best highlights of our day thanks to this amazing team!!!
The Gourmet Gals planned an amazing dinner that everyone absolutely loved - we have received so many compliments on their food. From just a few emails they came up with a delicious...
menu that was perfect when we went to taste it.
The buffet ran smoothly and quickly, it seemed to only take a song or two for everyone to be fed. Additionally, they were so attentive to us as the bride and groom ensuring that we had full plates first and stopping by our table every so often to make sure we didn't need or want seconds of anything. Everyone says you don't get to eat the food at your wedding, but Gourmet Gals made sure we were full before all the dancing began. As if that wasn't enough, they even packed us a go bag with two full plates of food, some of the passed appetizers, a slice of the bride and groom cake, and a bottle of bubbles for us to celebrate with that night.
We booked the Gourmet Gals as the all-inclusive option with The Terrace Club and everything with the planning went so smooth and perfect its hard to believe.

d me it was one of the best vendor meals they’ve ever had. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was so attentive and wonderful in every way. They boxed up a meal for us to eat after our reception, which we are so thankful for because we were STARVING. Sherri also helped me with rentals, which was such a blessing because I wouldn't have even known were to start. I would give them 50 stars if I could!

I cannot say enough great things about the Gourmet Gals. They catered the food for our wedding and we are still receiving compliments on it. We wanted three total different food st...
ations and Gourmet Gals worked with us to bring that to life. They offered suggestions and worked with us every step of the way to create the menu AND to also stay within budget. The food itself was delicious and very accommodating to any food restrictions. Highly recommend to anyone wanting delicious food for a reasonable price!
The Gourmet Gals were perfect for our event. We did a heavy hors d'oeuvres lunch for our reception.
Cassandra came out to look at the space, recommended set up, had all of the li...
nen and dishware rentals, and provided a bartender for us (we bought all of the alcohol and mixers).
Our guests were raving about how well run the event was - dishes cleared away super quickly, the team helped us stick to our timeline, cut our cake super quickly, passed champagne, and packed us dinner boxes to take back to the hotel as of course we ate very little.
Would definitely recommend!
the gourmet girls are amazing! They had a partnership with the venue we booked which is how we secured them.

tasting. Thank you so much Gourmet Gals!
I would give this vendor 20 stars if I could. They did the catering for both of my daughters' weddings (and one of the rehearsal dinners) Their food and their staff is absolutely ...
amazing. The wedding guests from both weddings say that was "the best" wedding meals they have ever had. They have a HUGE menu and will work with you and help you if you need suggestions. They have meals and dinnerware for almost any budget. Sherri and Cymbre are fantastic to work with. Do NOT hesitate to use Gourmet Gals (& Guys) for any of your catering needs.
My fiance and I met in New Orleans, so we wanted our wedding to have a touch of Cajun/Southern flavor & fun! Cymbre and her team worked with me to come up with the most perfect app...
etizers (mini muffulettas, hush puppies, chicken/waffle skewers), dinner (Cajun spiced chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes) & dessert (beignets)! Most other vendors weren't willing to help us customize our menu in this way without a huge price tag. It was so exciting to make our wedding menu meaningful but also in budget - and it was actually one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning process.
Thanks GGCE for taking care of our big day!
Anyone who knows better will tell you that when all of the planning is said and done, no one will remember the place settings or centerpieces or linens. But they will remember if ...
they had a good time, if you had enough alcohol (haha) and how good the food was. If you choose Gourmet Gals as your caterer for your big day, you will not be disappointed! I have been in the wedding industry as a coordinator for 15 years, and when it came time to plan my own wedding, it was really important to me to choose vendors that I had a personal relationship with and who were among the top 1% in the industry for what they do. I never even considered anyone else to cater our big day because of how phenomenal Gourmet Gals is at what they do. The menu planning is so easy and you even get to go in for a personal representative tasting to get a feel for what your guests will experience on the wedding day. The catering and presentation on the day of the wedding was top notch and my guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. I had so many people tell me that it was the best wedding food they had ever had (which I also hear every weekend from guests at my client's weddings)!! For all of the brides and grooms out there looking for a caterer who will not only provide you with the most amazing food, but will also make the entire process so easy and seamless, look no further than Gourmet Gals! Thank you for sharing in Bryan and my special day.
Summary is the quality of food was very high and the experience was so easy on us. Gourmet Gals started us off with a few suggestions, we made some comments on our preferences and ...
they made all the items we requested come true and they were all such a hit. All we had to do was try the food and then show up the day of, everything else was taken care of! Thanks Gourmet Gals!

husband and I LOVE food and LOVE to cook. We hate being served gourmet food that we feel like we could have cooked ourselves at home. Gourmet Gals did NOT disappoint! They worked with us to create a 100% customized menu (accommodating my tree nut allergy and our vegetarian and vegan friends) and we have heard nothing but great things so far from all of our guests! We had 3 appetizers passed during cocktail hour, and then we had guests choose ahead of time from 3 plated meals that were served at their seat (as opposed to buffet style). Execution was PERFECT, and food was absolutely delicious.
Gourmet Gals is absolutely outstanding!! I highly highly recommend them! We are truly happy and thankful we chose them. Everything turned out amazing and perfectly done, from the f...
ood, to the linens , to helping us handle our cake. These people are definitely a must! A special thanks to Cassandra for helping us the whole way. She was very attentive and extremely helpful with any questions we had. She always responded to emails quickly too which is awesome. Thank you for making our night wonderful!
We had Gourmet Gals as our caterer because it was the default caterer that I had to use for my wedding venue. Most of the communication was via email with Sherri, who is the owner,...
and she would often take at least a week or more to reply to a simple email. The food during the tasting was great but they were very small portions to barely get a sense of the quality of the food. On the day of the wedding, I felt like the quality of the food was not as great however - it was just okay.
We started the process of planning our menu with Gourmet Gals very early on - during the next year of planning, we requested to make several changes and these were always easily an...
d quickly accommodated. For our tasting, they were incredibly gracious for allowing my mother, stepfather, and MIL to accompany us. The food itself was EXCELLENT. We had a wedding of over 200 guests and the first comment I heard from everyone was how incredible the food was - and I have some pretty picky family members :) My husband and I actually got a chance to sit down and eat our meal (for about 5 minutes, of course) and were so glad we got to enjoy it. Then we also had the pleasure of receiving leftovers which I couldn’t wait to eat and lasted me two days of lunch. Gourmet Gals does an excellent job across the board and I would recommend them to anyone.
Gourmet Gals Catering was the in-house caterer at our wedding venue and our food was AMAZING! I received SOOOOO many compliments about how delicious our food was. The process was i...
ncredibly easy. I had a great phone conversation with Sherri regarding likes and dislikes, allergies, absolute musts, absolute noes. Sherri then sent a suggested menu with a few different options in it. We met in the storefront for a tasting and were absolutely in love with everything we tasted. The items she suggested made us feel as if she had known both my now-husband and me for years. She was able to pinpoint exactly the types of foods that we would love and convey them in a menu that would appeal to everyone at our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Gourmet Gals for any of your catered event needs!

ith Cassandra and she was easy to work with and my wedding coordinator said she was great too. The food turned out amazing and our guest said it was one of the best meals they had at a wedding so we were happy we achieved our goal. After all we didn't want hangry wedding guest! If you want tasty food give Gourmet Gals a taste!

iries. Flexible in providing food with special dietary needs. Discounts on kids meals and vender meals. They even offered a discount on our admin fee because my husband is a veteran which meant a lot to us. Their food was the perfect mix of classy, grilled, healthy food we were looking for and tasted delicious. We got many compliments on the tasty food from our guests. Additionally, the staff was so helpful in setting up a pretty looking display for our food that matched our wedding's style and even took over setting up our drink and coffee/tea/hot cocoa station so that they could make it pretty and my family wouldn't have to worry about it.
I would go with Gourmet Gals again for catering any event.

I'll start by saying I am trying to find an excuse to throw another party to be catered by Gourmet Gals just so I can eat the food again! It was SO delicious and all of our guests ...
thought so too! Both Cassandras were amazing to work with--so kind, organized, and on top of communication. The day of was so smooth - the Gourmet Gals team helped coordinate with other vendors, did the table settings, and made the buffet table look stunning! d tons of options for entrees (including vegetarian and vegan), sides, salads, and appetizers. At our training Sheri made notes (ex: slightly tangy-er sauce, less pumpernickel bread) and followed through on the slightest detail. ally sure what kind of food I wanted, so they sent me lists of what they could do, as well as set out a couple sample menus when I asked (since I found it very difficult to come up with a menu). They will literally do anything you want, which is so awesome! When we went in for our tasting, I knew we had made the right decision. We left saying that we couldn't wait to eat it all again at the wedding!!!

ls delivered. I will admit that we hesitated initially because the food they often serve is typical American or southern/Texas-style food and we were looking for more Asian-fusion style food. We spoke with both the owner Sherrie and Chef Mark on the phone and they listened carefully to our vision. We were completely blown away at our tasting and regretted ever questioning them in the first place. The food at our wedding was fantastic - they captured the Asian-fusion flavors with sake marinated sea bass, char siu beef tenderloin, and lots of delicious vegetables such as a balsamic strawberry salad, crispy brussel sprouts, and french green beans in oyster and sriracha sauces. These may not sound exciting but they really cooked and flavored the veggies to perfection. The sea bass was probably the biggest hit and we received endless compliments about it. The appetizers were also delicious with lots of variety, including watermelon feta skewers, asian crab poppers, lime cilantro shrimp, and chicken satay. Gourmet Gals is so flexible and they can really create anything that you wish - they have endless lists of different things they can make and they're also open to new things and are willing to accommodate almost any request from the client. No matter what type of food you're looking for, definitely give these guys a chance - you won't be disappointed.

sts tell me that their beef tenderloin was the best they had ever had. I could not be happier with everything they did. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
Gourmet Gals came with our venue -- The Terrace Club. Normally I would not like that I didn't have a choice in the matter, but I was very impressed with Gourmet Gals' sample menus ...
& professionalism. They offered a wide variety of food options so we didn't feel restricted at all. Furthermore, I told them I'm vegan & gave them a general idea of what items we liked on their sample menus -- they constructed a near-perfect menu on the first try! I was very happy -- & so was my fiancé (now husband!) who is NOT a vegan. I was very happy with the planning process & with how the food ultimately turned out. I would definitely recommend Gourmet Gals to anyone & everyone!

be wedding food. Well, it was worse. And we spared no expense. We were embarrassed. The Pink Avocado catered the rehearsal dinner and they were fantastic. Wish had used them for the wedding as well. :(
Gourmet Gals provided us with an amazing menu. Everyone was raving about how good the food was, especially the Macaroni and Cheese bar. They made our menu dreams come true!

ts tell us that it was the best catered food they'd ever had. Second, their service is phenomenal. Delaney was so incredibly responsive to my many emails and calls - and she also worked with my (now) mother-in-law to help her with the rehearsal dinner. She was so flexible and accommodating - we had several guests with food allergies (nut allergies, gluten, dairy etc.) and several vegetarian guests - she handled it all flawlessly. The chicken and steak entrees we had were delicious - but the vegetarian entree options Gourmet Gals created for both nights blew our minds - most caterers don't do vegetarian very well - but GG most certainly did! They were super professional - from the servers to the chef, they were all so friendly and on the ball. And - they provided all this amazing food, catering and planning within our budget. I recommend Gourmet Gals without any reservations. Thank you to Delaney and her team for helping make our wedding a huge success!!

y, the chicken breast was not dry like I am used to. Very pleased with the food and selection.
People were blown away by the food at our wedding!!! Process was super simple, and at the tasting we didnt have any changes! Great vendor! Wish we could have that meal more often!!
Everyone said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. They did a fantastic job and my only complaint is that I wish I could have them cater every day!

rs d'ouerve during the cocktail hour were exceptional, as well. The portions in the main dishes were a little small, but not too bad. The only downsides: they are a little pricey. The vegetarian option we were assured would also be vegan and gluten-free, however it had cheese in it - thus, not vegan or gluten-free. This did upset a handful of our guests. Overall, they did a wonderful job.
Food was extrememly important to us at our wedding and we were worried that we would have the typical "wedding food" that comes out cold, and over cooked.
My husband and I were...
nt too impressed with our meal, because our meat was over cooked, but we actually had a ton of people tell us that it was the best wedding food they had ever had! So, given the fact that we had a lot of people give positive reviews, and the fact that our food tasting was so good, I think we just got a bad plate.
I'm originally from Hawaii and really wanted to incorporate some local food into our wedding. We were a little nervous at first because unless you're from Hawaii and have had the ...
food before, it would be a little difficult to replicate. However, when we found out that the Gourmet Gals chef had previously worked at Kenichi, we felt a little better about giving him this task of Hawaiian cuisine! I did have to go for 2 tastings as everything but one dish was PERFECT. Sherri made the tasting process and communication an easy and wonderful experience! Everything turned out great the night of - our passed hor d'oeuvres were shrimp/pineapple skewers and vegetarian egg rolls. Our reception food was "Shoyu Chicken," "Kalua Pork and Cabbage," "Lomi Lomi Salmon," rice, veggies, and fresh fruits. Thank you again, Gourmet Gals for your patience with me and pulling through with our delicious Hawaiian dinner!
