Gleneagles Golf Club & Events

f our wedding, the event coordinator changed 5 times, with one of the changes occurring just a month before our wedding date. The high turnover caused a lot of stress because we had to keep reviewing the same details with each of the coordinators. Luckily, the wedding day went smoothly, but we give the credit to our wonderful wedding planner that we hired as a result of this high turnover. The food was good, but we were frustrated by the length of time it took between the salads being served and tables being able to go up to the buffet. We conveyed this frustration the day of the event and we were told that the chef was also new. Overall, the event was successful, but we would not recommend it unless you have an outside planner to ensure your vision comes true.

n hole, the reception room , and the foyer. We also loved all of the delicious food packages to pick from. Our guests loved our buffet options and our late night bites. Adrienne was very helpful accommodating many ideas I came up with such as a petal toss and sparklers, and was willing to meet with me extra to make sure we were on the same page. The staff even stepped up and found vases to use when another vendor forgot vases they were supposed to provide, which I really appreciate. I received lots of compliments of my wedding at Gleneagles and we have such a great time. I highly recommend!

satisfied taste buds. What truly set Gleneagles apart, however, was the incredible support and assistance we received from Lexi and Adrienne. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. They ensured our day went off without a hitch, and their guidance was invaluable. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our special day. Gleneagles, with its delectable cuisine and the wonderful team of Lexi and Adrienne, made our wedding a truly unforgettable occasion. Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime!

ial silhouette reception entrance, so that was nice. However, let me tell you some details of how our day went. -Gleneagles decorates for you, which is nice so you don't have to worry about it. The problem was, they didn't listen to what I wanted and didn't even put out half the stuff we brought. All of the time and money I spent buying, organizing, and labeling decor wasted because it wasn't used. The event coordinator, had a soccer game for her kid the morning of the wedding. That's fine, but make sure the couple is taken care of. Nothing was decorated until right before the ceremony started and they probably ran out of time to put everything out. I cringe looking at pics from our ceremony because the fireplace is completely empty, even though I specifically brought stuff for it. -The dressing room for the girls is incredibly small. I knew this going into the day, but it was very chaotic and no room to keep things organized. My main problem was that the door to the dressing room was supposed to be locked because it is connected to the women's bathroom and other guests go in and out. It was never locked day of or the night before, which I had specifically asked for because we left stuff in there. When we got there the morning of the wedding, my dress was on the floor. I was not happy. -We paid for a drink package so our guests could have soft drinks, coffee, and tea. The event coordinator asked if we wanted mocktails so we thought, since guests already had the option of getting soft drinks, that they would mix something together and that would be cool. No. We had two mocktail choices and that was the only thing our guests could choose from besides water. We paid per person for 2 drink options. -The event coordinator never showed us where we could take pictures, like she said she would, and golf employees from the club kept telling us we couldn't take pictures anywhere but the pavilion where the ceremony was. We thought it was funny and my photographer was awesome and was dedicated to standing up for us and making sure we got our pictures, but it was still annoying that we kept getting yelled at and couldn't get ahold of the event coordinator so we had no recourse. -The biggest problem was with the catering invoice. I had asked for it for the 3 weeks leading to the wedding after we submitted final numbers so we could take care of it and it would be done. It was never sent to us. Then on the wedding day, after my husband and I did our exit and were on the way to the hotel, we get a call from my mom saying she was handed the bill and we had to take care of it. Back to GlenEagles we went to deal with something ON OUR WEDDING DAY that should of been done way before. More than that, they charged us foe 20 extra people and the wrong price for drinks. Luckily I was on my A-game to catch it, but my husband and I were furious. That was the last thing we wanted to fool with on our wedding day.

we hired - photographer, videographer, DJ, florist - fantastic!!! CONS - So many promises, SO MANY DISAPPOINTMENTS!🤬 Coordinators changed 4 weeks prior to wedding. We were told OVER AND OVER - trust us, we got it, this is what you pay for! It rained evening before and a little in the morning - we all knew that and were told we have an ARMY of people to take care of things - don't worry! (EVERTHING discussed was in writing in bullet points of what was promised/expected and given to coordinator & chef) There were NO events the entire week prior - my family came and helped set up centerpieces and move tables on Thursday as they were in wrong position - were told, "don't do that, that is what you pay us for."..no one there on Friday - things still needed to be done. 2:00 before wedding at 4! 1. No one in venue setting up remainder of items. (coordinator and mgr wiping off chairs in pavilion and mopping floor.) Army? 2. Notify coordinator of boxes in venue and the carpet still needed to be vacuumed! Boxes were in our wedding photos! 3. Son sweating with suit on and sister started helping coordinator set up tables/details etc. 4. Florist literally running to fill all vases - "Army" was supposed to help - non-existant - as people entered for dinner the CAKE TABLE WAS NOT THERE! Florist notified kitchen and left flowers. Someone in kitchen put a rose sticking straight out of the top like a torpedo - who does that? 5. Toasts - Champagne on all tables, not in coolers and NOT CORKED - attendees had to open their own and one had it explode all over his suit. The bride and groom toasted to water. 6. NOT ONCE was there a person tending to the B&G. The groom had to leave his bride several times to get drinks. Bride said, "I was so sad and lonely sitting up there alone." Absolutely NO VIP treatment for the Bride and Groom!!!😭 7. Salad was totally wilted! Just told yesterday - 6 weeks after - people left it....and the stories keep coming in of all the mistakes! 8. Coordinator completely MIA - saw once when we entered - inappropriately dressed - then nothing, no help for the entire evening!! My sister had to constantly get up and ask for this/that. 9. Plates not cleared when people tried to get desserts. 10. We were told we could have golf cart to bring elderly people to pavilion, I had it all coordinated with nephew knowing who to take where - then we we not allowed...they HAD to do it - spent more time running back and forth trying to make sure everyone was taken care of! As MOB, I do NOT need to be doing this. People can surely drive a golf cart! 11. The camels back is broken. For a year we discussed how important the pastry tables were! We were given photos of what it would look like. It was in writing we would have 1 table of pastries and 1 with cake. I went out to see one meager table with a few trays of cookies - not my crystal dishes I brought, and only 3 pieces of chocolate cake and a line of 50 people!! I had to go to the kitchen and blow up! It was completely embarrassing! For six weeks I have been told that "people did not get cake", "they only took 1 cookie because there was not enough", "What happened, we know you baked for a week straight?", Where were the biscotties and lemon bars?" Where were the caramels?" We discussed this fully and were told all the pastries would be plated and put in the cooler and brought out. The day before I confirmed. They were not plated, tables were not set up, some of the items came out - but after 90% of the crowd went through the line. IT WAS A DISASTER! At the end of the night we left with 1 cake, about 500 cookies, unopened caramels and threw out about 40 pieces of cake! (the food was in a different room, so no one knew the items FINALLY arrived.). The next day we met, for the first time!, a GM - he asked for all the details of what went wrong - we sent to him and finally heard there were higher ups that we sent as well. The response from the head of Moven was, "sorry some things went wroing, can we take the bride and groom to dinner... and possibly you?" My husband was not so keen on the fact we paid 18,000 on this and that was the pathetic response. He was not included, there was NO indication that these things were discussed or going to be taken care of. My family did the job of coordination, yet we had to pay a non-existant coordinator. We replied that the attempt to make things right by taking the couple out to dinner was feable. We have not received ANY communication since then, or any attempt to make things better for the next person. So, saying all of that, if you are bent on having an event there - the food is good and the place is pretty...I would totally have everything written out, signed by the chef, coordinator, GM, and Moven group that these items would be as discussed....they make you sign a contract for everything they are supposedly providing - so do the same. I would TOTALLY hire your own coordinator as someone you can trust to pick up the loose ends. We had everything in writing, but it still fell flat! Note to Gleneagles - Do NOT put a new coordinator at the beginning of the season with meager help and skill - this is on you as your leadership was completely non-existant. And STOP promising everything until you KNOW you can provide.

by fate we landed in the hands of Heather, who took the wheel from there. I will never forget her kindness, attentiveness, and the way she treated us and turned our misfortune into the perfect day! The venue itself would have been enough…beautiful and modern! We are so grateful for the whole experience!

gh!!

hly! This venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is so caring and hardworking, which really showed throughout the whole day (and all of the planning meetings and the walkthrough leading up to it!). The food was amazing — so many of our guests told us it was the best catering they’d had at a wedding. We had our ceremony at the outdoor pavilion, which was such a beautiful, charming space. The indoor reception area was also beautiful, and perfect for our 150 guests! We really appreciate all the Gleneagles team did to make our dream wedding come true, and we strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a venue!

coordinator, Heather. She made everything so lovely and helped the day run smoothly. I trust her with anything! She was such a pleasure to work with along with the rest of the staff. Gleneagles is your perfect venue if you are looking for something all inclusive. We did our ceremony in the pavilion (which was so beautiful and fit all of our 130 guests). From there we held cocktail hour on the patio off the ballroom which has a beautiful view that overlooks the last hole on the course and the fountain. The reception was held in the ballroom inside which was as perfect and lovely as I had imagined and had more than enough space for our large dance floor and DJ. The food options were exceptional, the crusted chicken parm being my favorite! I could go on and on about how amazing everything was and I highly recommend Gleneagles as a wedding venue. Everything was PERFECT!! Thank you to Heather and the amazing staff for making our wedding weekend a dream come true.

ay of our wedding, Heather was hands on with everything. I told her the vision I had and she helped every bit she could to bring my vision to life! I couldn’t of had my amazing wedding without her. Thank you so much Heather for everything!!! And I do mean EVERYTHING!

e. Our decorations we set up for us and looked wonderful. Everyone at our wedding said that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Highly recommended having your wedding here to have a magical stress free night knowing that you will be well taken care of!

d picturesque pavilion outside that we used for our ceremony. And the ballroom has a huge wall completely made of windows to give you a stunning view of the greens and landscape while you eat and dance. Heather continuously went above and beyond in every possible way leading up to our wedding, to make sure our day went exactly as planned. We truly couldn’t have done it without her! Also, the food was so delicious our guests were raving about it all night! And the staff were friendly and quick to keep things moving along. If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue, then you’ve found the one! Thank you Heather and the Gleneagles crew for a beautiful and memorable wedding!!!

ony was a dream come true, the ballroom is modern but still has character and some unique features. And Ofcourse it has a beautiful view of the pretty pond located behind the ballroom with a wall of windows that overlook it. The team in general was great and worked very quickly to set our decor up for us and they also helped break it all down and packed it up for us at the end of the night which helped with our stress. The food and service was also spot on! Doug and I have to rave and give a special shout out to the best event coordinator there, HEATHER! This woman is a boss in all the right ways! Like any wedding there were multiple hiccups throughout the day and I was feeling overwhelmed, but Heather literally saved our butts so many times. She works her butt off for you the entire process to ensure the day is just as you picture it. I am so grateful for her and just think the absolute world of her. She truly kept my day together and any bride would be lucky to work with her! Thank you again Heather! :) We love you!

we wanted outside catering. Since we have a lot of cultural aspects in bridal showers and specifically with food, it was hard to find a venue in north-east Ohio that didn’t hurt the wallet just running outside catering. Everyone at gleneagles was so open and accommodating to all of our cultural requirements. They didn’t make it difficult at all to incorporate these things in my bridal shower. I would say my bridal shower was more like a wedding, 150 people. We were able to add seeds even a couple of days before the event with changes in the RSVPs. They were able to add extra tables for other activities like henna artist, dessert tables. The placesettings were beautiful, elegant, and clean. I even noticed that I was down 12 chargers that I had provided, The venue was so kind to allow me to borrow the 12 chargers that I was missing. The venue are surrounded by tall windows from floor to ceiling. It gave all the decor such a brighter glow. I absolutely love the elegance and modern feel of the venue. These kinds of events should be happy and not stressful at all. The whole gleneagles staff makes you feel that throwing this big of a party is easy and effortless. I can’t say it enough but this place is absolutely beautiful, aesthetically and the personalities of all the staff.

ess leading up to the wedding continued throughout our wedding day. The staff was incredibly attentive and so many people came up to us to compliment the staff/venue. The venue itself it amazing, the food was incredible (I feel like wedding food is usually pretty average, but this was not the case at Gleneagles). I'm so happy we had our reception here. I cannot recommend it enough! If you're looking at venues on this side of NE Ohio, there isn't a better venue out there!

s through the entire process. We were so impressed with their flexibility and hospitality, especially during the global pandemic. I would highly recommend Abby and her team at Glen Eagles.

ony space options they had to the STUNNING event room with a giant picture window overlooking the most beautiful landscape. The modern but elegant touches throughout the building truly are one of a kind. Abby, the event director, was the cherry on top of everything. She was more than helpful and the calm, useful opinion I needed. From the late night email reply’s, to sitting down and going over last minute details, she was there and ready to help through it all (even while juggling several other upcoming weddings). If we had to do this all over again, my first stop would be here!

dow in their event space is not only unique but brings so much natural light into the room but the views of the golf course are beautiful. The indoor/outdoor option with a gorgeous patio was a huge plus for us, and even though the weather did not hold out for us to enjoy cocktail hour outside, heaters and high top tables were set up so our guests could mingle outside if they wanted to. Abby is extremely organized and responsive and we couldn't be more grateful for her. We purchased a lot of decor that she allowed us to drop off in advance and even set up for us on the day of. She coordinated with all of our vendors and ensured the night ran smoothly from cocktail hour all the way to last call. She always kept us informed and offered us advice, recommendations, helped us create our day-of timeline and made sure we knew what our options were at all times. We cannot recommend Gleneagles and Abby enough! Thank you so much for everything!

tly, and she easily incorporated my wish for a generation table, as well as creating the space for a photobooth and table tents. She was quick to respond to all my emails and answer all my questions. Not to mention the venue itself is beautiful - very modern with rustic and earthy touches. Golf carts were made available for my photographers, my husband, and myself to take pictures on course, which made for a beautiful backdrop. Abby was present to ensure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding, and it was so comforting knowing that she was there to take care of any concerns or questions I had day of. I could not have dreamed of a more perfect day. Thank you Abby and team!

morning of, they created an elegant indoor setting which turned out to be even more intimate and beautiful than we could have hoped. They showed great flexibility, hard work, and professionalism at every step of the process, and we're so grateful. We highly recommend Gleneagles as a top-notch venue with sophistication and a personal touch.

is beautiful on the outside and very modern and elegant inside. The banquet room overlooks a beautiful pond and there are opportunities for some amazing photos on the property. Robert J. Catering was our caterer and the food was excellent and they were on top of everything. Our cake turned out flawless and delicious and was made by Bittersweets in Stow. Our beautiful flowers were provided by The Budding Tree. Gleneagles exceeded our expectations and we could not have wished for a better venue or staff to work with. Thank you again Abby!!!
