We had a great experience with George Street! My brother used George Street Photo & Video when he got married and had a great experience. When it came time for me to look for a photographer and videographer for my wedding, they were certainly on my list. Originally, I liked the idea of hiring a photographer and videographer directly through a small business. When push came to shove, my husband and I simply could not beat George Street's pricing. Through our planning process, we looked at prices and the deliverables. George Street's photos were consistently beautiful. My brother's photos came out great. We figured for the cost, photo quality, and packages, it couldn't be beat. We decided to move forward with using George Street for photos while hiring independently for videography since my husband really liked one of the videographers we met with who had great pricing. Based on our experience, we would hire George Street again. It's a different process where you meet with George Street's coordinators ahead of signing your contract, and you look at photographer's portfolios rather than meeting with them directly. From there, your main point of contact is a George Street coordinator. We had an engagement shoot with our wedding photographer, which was absolutely lovely. It was great having some time with our wedding photographer before our big day, and we meshed so well. Our photographer was so kind and easy to work with. For wedding planning, we mainly were in contact with the George Street coordinator, who was wonderful. Especially as we got closer to our big day, we would call or text our photographer directly. We got our wedding photos delivered to us when we were still on our honeymoon, so they were really quick. We're still awaiting some additional edits we requested, but, overall, it's been wonderful. The photos were beautiful. If I could do it again, I would. The only difference is that I would have requested a couple more photos that I simply forgot about. All in all, George Street did a beautiful job capturing our day, and if all photographers are as kind and easy to work with as ours, hiring George Street is a no brainer to me!

We looked through 40+ photographer portfolios before choosing this company. I specifically chose this photographer because I loved her work and trusted her to capture the moments that mattered most. I also spent a significant amount of time completing the questionnaire/portal and communicating the specific photos we wanted, including photos of my husband and me with my veil draped over us. Unfortunately, after receiving our full gallery, we are extremely disappointed and heartbroken.
Our wedding timeline ran behind, and we felt extremely rushed throughout the day. Our videographer was wonderful, but we did not have the same experience with our photographer. We felt there was very little direction, and many important moments were either missed or not captured in a way we would expect from a professional wedding photographer.
To be fair, there ARE photos of my husband with my dad, and we DID take portraits during cocktail hour. However, there are zero photos documenting cocktail hour itself. We have no photos of our memorial table, audiobook/guestbook booth, decor, food/drinks, or what the overall space looked like. We were taking portraits during that time and trusted our photographer to document everything else for us.
The image quality is also a major concern. We received almost 1,600 images, but many of the wider photos are blurry, soft, pixelated, or poorly composed. The close-ups tend to be much clearer. Some photos have a very heavy filter, and the black-and-white images are extremely dark. The editing is very inconsistent. The 87 “Editor’s Choice” images are beautiful, which unfortunately makes the rest of the gallery even more disappointing. Those images show the quality we expected throughout the gallery.
Most importantly, we envisioned so much more for our actual wedding portraits. There is only ONE formal portrait of my husband and me where we are both looking at the camera and smiling. We have no photos of us with my veil covering us despite specifically requesting them, very limited outdoor bridal portraits, and not one photograph of my husband and me dancing together on the dance floor. There are only a few photos of us dancing while there are many of our guests.
Some of the moments that hurt the most:
• My dad walking me down the aisle and hugging me was photographed from very far away, with no close-up focused on us.
• There are only a couple photos of my dad and me walking down the aisle.
• Our aisle dip photo is extremely close-up and tilted, making the moment difficult to see.
• I have only one formal portrait with my mom, and it isn’t even a traditional portrait of us together. It is simply her touching my veil. This is devastating because I will never have that moment back.
• There are very few meaningful photos from the mother-son dance.
• Our sparkler exit photo is blurry/pixelated.
• Many family and wedding-party combinations we wanted were missed. Instead, our day felt rushed, and we were left with very few meaningful photos of my husband and me. We trusted this photographer to preserve these once-in-a-lifetime memories, and we cannot recreate them. We deeply regret our photography experience and we can never get that back.

I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience to help other couples planning their special day. My feedback isn’t about the photographers or videographer themselves, both photographers we worked with were talented and professional. Instead, my concerns are with the larger company and the staff communication throughout the process.
After selecting our lead photographer, communication was limited. He was wonderful during our engagement shoot and made us feel at ease, but afterward, we didn’t hear from him again until the wedding day. Although we uploaded inspiration photos to the company website as instructed, it wasn’t clear how or if these were shared with him. We only received his phone number five days before the wedding, which made it difficult to establish a comfortable relationship. While our photos turned out nicely, we did miss that natural, relaxed connection in the images that comes from closer collaboration.
Since the wedding, getting assistance with ordering our album and prints, items included in our package, has been challenging. The help we've received has felt impersonal, with templated responses rather than individualized support. We also wanted to thank our photographer’s assistant, who did a fantastic job but left before we could express our gratitude. Unfortunately, we were denied her email to reach out directly.
Overall, working with a large company like this comes with trade-offs. While the photography was good, the personal touches and one-on-one attention that make wedding memories extra special were missing for us.

wedding were truly subpar. It has been a year since my wedding and I really struggle to write negative reviews but after truly thinking about it I decided I need to warn others on what could happen.
Starting with photography, the main photographer was very talented and she had a very nice camera. However, she always asks to work with her husband (who I did not know would be my second shooter). I paid for two photographers but I only got one (her). Her husband mainly followed her around, it was rare for him to be seen taking his own photos. He is not even a photographer he has a completely other job. Even though my main photographer was very good for the engagement photos, when it came to my wedding day she seemed lost. The amount of photos that she missed is mind blowing. She had ZERO ideas/thoughts about different positions /photos to take with the bridal party. It makes me so sad because on my wedding day I was stressed and I was not thinking but now looking back I wish I just had some more bridal party shots but my photographer had zero ideas. There are wide spaces between individuals and other individuals are super close together. You would think a photographer would notice this and position people correctly but that did not happen. Also, she told me that if I had hired her personally instead of through the company she would have helped me out more and done more for me but because she was hired through the company she was not going too. That makes me feel like I am getting very poor service and that is a terrible feeling to feel on your wedding day. I will say she is very good at couple photos and her camera is high quality so there were positives I would rather have someone better at photos of me and my husband if I had to choose.
Next, the videographers. The main videographer was not interested in being there what so ever. He actually asked me (the bride) if he could leave early ! It was crazy. The second videographer was INCREDIBLE. He is the one who MADE my wedding day. He wanted to be there and he wanted to work hard. He made us feel special on our wedding day and he is the only one out of the 4 of them who truly seemed like he wanted to work for this company and liked the company.
The problem with the video that I got though was that the quality of the camera that was used was from the early 1990s. I am not kidding when we got our wedding video back it looked like a home video from the early 90s. George Street tried to make it right and revise the video for me but you can't really revise something that the quality is just low of.
I have attached a screenshot from the video so that you can understand how grainy the video from my wedding looked.
My parting advice -- don't hire a large company. I did because I was worried that I would last minute not have a photographer or videographer and I liked the idea that a company would figure it out for you but now looking back it was the biggest mistake of my wedding. If you hire an individual person you know what their work looks like and you don't need to rely on who gets sent to you on your wedding day. You don't need to rely on the luck on the draw.
Please just don't do it. I literally am so upset every time I see my bridal party photos or my video.

wedding photos, I can count on one hand the ones that look good. I'm not being picky, I've shown them to my friends who do wedding photography professionally (I wanted them to attend as guests, not work all day), and they agree the photos are not good. When they sent the editor's pick preview photos both times I immediately responded saying I was not happy with how they had been edited. Both times I was told to wait until I saw all the photos before complaining. I waited, and complained again with more examples and details. I was told it was too late to fix them all since they batch edit, but they would "make an exception" and re-edit up to 25 photos total. I'm very pale, so I use gray eyeshadow as a contour, somehow they tweaked the color so much my contour is orange. How do you make grey into orange? I asked to speak with the editor directly so I explain what I did/didn't like. I asked to show inspo photos both before the event and after. I was told no. My package included 2 small photo albums for our parents, I'm a year into my marriage and still haven't heard anything about when to expect those. Photos were taken without any artistic eye. We asked to be posed, we asked them to step in and tell us to change how we stood etc. I was 5'7" 140lbs, size 6 at my wedding. How do I have a double chin in almost every photo? Why did my rainbow of summer wildflowers end up looking like an orange and purple Halloween decor? Why aren't there any cute photos of my husband and me? There are 20 min of photos that we both remember taking that are missing. I'm so heartbroken about this. It was such a waste of money. I've since learned having an editor who never even talks to the photographer is a huge red flag. Getting the quote and contract signed was easy, after that they only care about you making the payments, not producing a halfway descent finished product. Go with a local respected photographer who edits their own photos. This was overpriced garbage.

My only tough point is the coordination with the wedding coordinators via email. It was pretty tough to nail down a lead photographer because we only got one response per day from their staff. By the time we picked a person, we were told they were taken or unavailable. I think it would be really valuable for George Street to make a portal where couples can browse photographers available for their wedding date and their portfolio and then pick directly from that portal. I think trying to do it via email is time consuming and a little tough.
However, I will say again that my experience with the photographers and videographers from george street was fantastic. They have a really incredible pool of freelancers who are very talented and I am so happy with my final product!

ok over 5000 photos that day and we had some great shots. The reason I deducted a star was for post production and downloading. With so many great photos to choose from, the "Editor Picks" folder did not look like the editor actually looked at the pictures carefully. When I dug though the 4900 other pictures, I was able to find much better ones there for the picking. That and downloading some of the pictures didn't work until I reached out to them and they suggested I download through another platform, which worked great. If they had mentioned that in their email, I would have used Chrome from the start.
Otherwise, a great experience, with some wonder pictures to last us a lifetime!

All planning leading up to the day was simple and all communication was within in a timely manner.

our bridal party and families- although the comment by the assistant photographer "nuts to butts" probably wasn't appropriate in the church setting... but it got the point across and no one offended.
Unfortunately, our main photographer was 20 mins late to start the getting ready photos for me and my bridesmaids, which definitely turned a calm morning into a chaotic hustle to get everyone dressed and photographed and I ended up leaving some things behind in the hotel that I wanted to bring with me. To her defense, there was a bad accident and many people were running late that day. We also started our ceremony late (at no fault of any of the photographers/videographer), which unfortunately cut into some of our time to take photos after the ceremony (my husband and I are religious and really wanted portraits of us inside the church)...we unfortunately did not have time for the portraits inside, but she managed to get all of our family photos done and took amazing photos of us outside.
There was a slightly frustrating back and forth regarding billing after our wedding day- but luckily this was sorted out correctly and they gave us a credit for a free canvas print for the trouble, which was very nice!
Bottom line: our pictures are AMAZING and we cannot wait to get our video! Unfortunately, we couldn't get all of the photos we wanted, but that is not their fault.

e company. When we were booking them, we were sent portfolios of several different photographers so we could choose one whose style we liked.
Our photographer Shawn was amazing on our wedding day. We put all of the details about the schedule for the day in George Street's online portal, then we had a phone call with our photographer about a week before. It was great to feel like we got to know her a bit and could explain what we were hoping for with our wedding photography. She coordinated the second shooter and videographer, so it felt like they were all a team. She was the right amount of assertive to coordinate our family and wedding party, and she made sure to get all of the shots we wanted.
Soon after the wedding, we got a collection of sample photos, followed by the full gallery. It took a little longer for the video, but we were thrilled with both the highlight video and the full video. The customer service was always helpful when we reached out with questions about timeline, or even about editing a photo that my mother in law wanted to crop. The photos/video from our wedding are beautiful, and we couldn't be happier!

never told by our wedding planning contact about photo permits. We reviewed our day of plan about a month out with the planning team and told them where we planned to take our photos (local park). It wasn't until we had the final call with our photographer the week of our wedding that she mentioned we'd need a permit. It was too late to apply for one so we had to change around our plans for the day, causing issues for transportation, timing, and the look of our photos. The planning team needs to be more informed about permit requirements and tell couples early on.
