George Street Photo & Video

ears to come. Robert was amazing!

helpful & easy to use. I was a bit worried not being able to talk to my photographer until the week of the wedding, but that didn’t impact anything & once I did meet with him, everything was great & he knew what he was doing!

th. But, this company is TERRIBLE. They give you the constant run around, no direct answers, and empty promises. They do not provide sneak peek photos following your wedding (despite what they say in their very convincing sales speech), you wait weeks for any sort of glimpse of your wedding day and it steals the joy of wanting to see and reliving the most wonderful day of you life. There's no number to call directly, they do not care if you are unsatisfied or frustrated, and will constantly give you the same empty statement, "We truly appreciate your patience. In the meantime, if there’s anything else you need or if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I’m more than happy to help." I am not going to ask for anything else, when they still haven't delivered on their first thing they were supposed to do. I am sure this review will be buried below the fake 5 star reviews, but in hopes that one potential bride or grooms does see this...RUN RUN RUN far far far AWAY from this company.

hoot, and were highly impressed from start to finish. The team they brought in was extremely talented and captured our day beautifully. Every moment felt natural, comfortable, and perfectly documented. Communication was always easy and straightforward, and the entire process felt smooth and stress-free. We truly appreciated their professionalism and the care they put into their work. We would absolutely recommend George Street Photo & Video to anyone looking for top-quality wedding photography and videography, and we would gladly use them again!

hose style we preferred, and Brittany confirmed that we could secure this photographer by moving forward. Prior to signing, she provided details about the photographer’s experience and explained the process to lock-in that photographer. Based on that information, we signed the contract and paid a $500 deposit. After signing, we were transferred to the Chicago coordination team (our main contact was Nora). When we followed up to confirm the photographer’s appearance in our client portal, we were told (about a week later after signing) that the photographer was no longer available. We were surprised, as this directly contradicted what we were told by sales. Nora then explained that the company is not responsible for any statements made by salespeople. Despite this, we decided to continue forward, and also asked for clarification about the cancellation policy. Nora stated: “as per our cancellation policy, since it has been more than 7 days since you booked with us, we will retain the $200 deposit and refund the remaining amount.” Two weeks later, we received a list of two available photographers. Nora confirmed in writing that she had personally verified their availability and that they were reserved for us in the system for 48 hours. Within that timeframe, we confirmed our choice. Shortly after, Courtney emailed us stating: “I’m happy to officially confirm that we are locking Nebojsa in for your big day on July 5, 2026.” We were relieved and excited to move forward. However, when we called a few days later to check on portal updates, Kate (a manager? overseeing the Chicago coordinators) informed us that the photographer was not available after all. She also stated that Courtney’s confirmation email should never have been sent and that Nora’s earlier explanation of the cancellation policy was also inaccurate. Kate specifically said that George Street is not responsible for the accuracy of the statements made by its salespeople or coordinators. At this point, our trust in George Street was irreparably damaged. Even if we chose another photographer, we had no confidence that the company would honor the selection. Given that available photographers reportedly had cancellation rates of around 10%, we felt we could not rely on the company for our wedding. We terminated our contract. Unfortunately, our experience with George Street Photo & Video has been one of repeated misrepresentation, lack of accountability, and internal miscommunication. We were given multiple written assurances that proved false, and company representatives have consistently disclaimed responsibility for their own employees’ statements. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend George Street to anyone seeking reliable, professional wedding services.

questions and helped us select a photographer that had worked our venue in the past. We ended up going with Terri, and we couldn’t have been happier! She listened to our requests and followed through with everything we asked for. She kept everything flowing when we were taking all the posed family pictures before the ceremony and selected excellent backgrounds for these pictures. During the ceremony and reception, she worked in stealth mode, never getting in the way of anything but capturing great shots. The photos came back quickly and we were very excited with the finished product. Do not hesitate to go with George Street on your special day and make sure to request Terri. She’s great!

ordable, and their team was super organized and responsive, which made everything feel effortless. Our photographer, Stephanie, was incredible! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and captured our personalities perfectly. Our engagement photos turned out stunning, and the wedding photos completely blew us away. We’ve received so many compliments from friends and family on how beautiful and natural all the pictures look. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and highly recommend George Street Photography to any couple looking for a talented, professional, and friendly photography team!

and the video is like a movie. They were easy to work with, responded fast, and their prices didn’t break the bank. Totally recommend them to anyone getting married!

e wedding party felt at ease with their team around. Would definitely recommend to others and especially at the price!

s were particularly bad. Most of the photos from our special day were very unflattering, captured the worst angles, and the whole experience was not very professional. I’m disappointed that we entrusted the photos of this important day to George Street. If I could go back, I would not work with George Street. Update: we have now been trying to remedy the situation for OVER TWO YEARS with George street and they haven’t offered any constructive solutions. They did not deliver on their promises in the contract we had with them, they misrepresented their photo quality and photographer’s skill level, and they are essentially scammers. We were forced to pay for a different photographer out of pocket to take better photos of us, with the obvious disappointing caveat that the new photos aren’t from our actual wedding day. Please save yourselves the disappointment and sadness and don't work with this company!

u can relive it over and over. George Street was absolutely amazing when it came to working on the best package for what we needed, sending out a day of schedule (which actually helped me with all of my other vendors), and you have the option of a single or double photographer day of. The turn around time is absolutely AMAZING & the prices are so fair. We are over the moon about how everything turned out!

ur questions. We were able to choose our wedding photographer, David, and he was THE ABSOLUTE BEST to work with. We were beyond pleased with our engagement photos and wedding photos & video. We highly recommend George Street!

I chose George Street, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. Cherie has an exceptional eye for detail. We were impressed by her ability to blend traditional wedding photography with more candid, creative shots. The photos felt natural, yet every frame was filled with emotion. They have a knack for capturing the essence of the day—whether it was the joy in our families’ faces or the quiet, intimate moments we shared. On the wedding day, Cherie was a true professional. They were punctual, discreet, and never intrusive. It was clear they had experience with weddings, as they seamlessly directed group photos and caught all the important moments without making us feel rushed or stressed. Their positive attitude kept us relaxed, and the photos reflect that energy. We are absolutely in love with our wedding photos. Cherie and Lizaveta captured the spirit of our day perfectly. They exceeded all our expectations, and we are so grateful for their talent and professionalism. We wholeheartedly recommend George Street to any couple looking for photographers who can deliver beautiful, timeless photos and a stress-free experience.

have beautiful pictures and videos that we will have forever.

all around excellence of my photographer Anna and videographer Sead! They were the BEST!!! Kept me on time, kept me sane, took the best pics! I haven't gotten them back because it's only been a couple of days but wanted to write this asap as I am so happy with their work so far! Don't hesitate on going with them for your photo/video needs!

imple and laid out in an organized way and one that was helpful for not only you but the photographer you are able to pick. My wedding photos were super important to me and when I received them back, they exceeded my expectations! I am so in love with my wedding photos and I can’t recommend them enough!

talented—highly recommended!

ly transparent with pricing from the start. Throughout our wedding planning experience they helped guide us to a truly one of a kind day. And not only did the photos come out amazing, we had so much fun taking them too. Their timeliness is second to none and I could not give a stronger recommendation for a wedding photographer.

a as we had as a vision for our pictures. Week of the wedding, the photographer (Rob in Illinois) reached out to discuss our timeline. He truly took the time to understand our vision and captured every moment beautifully. The attention to detail, creativity, and natural style that he and our assistant photographer brought to our wedding day was incredible. The candid shots were some of our favorites—they truly captured the emotion and joy of the day. We were also impressed by how comfortable they made us feel, especially during posed photos, which can sometimes feel awkward. We didn’t feel rushed despite the time crunch I had. The final album is stunning, and the quality and QUANTITY (4,000+) of the photos in the online gallery is top-notch. We’re so grateful for the memories they’ve preserved for us. Highly recommend to anyone looking for professional, artistic, AFFORDABLE and meaningful wedding photography!

ed our pictures back within weeks of our wedding day. The videographer on the other had was horrible. For the amount paid, it was below average. It took 3 months of editing and the editing was blurring, shaking camera and not a good overall video. During the wedding day the videographer was not personable. I usually never leave reviews, but after just now receiving our wedding video in November, we are disappointed with the quality.

e, professional, and great to work with. We are so happy with how our pictures came out and we have so many wonderful options for the photo album! We had a great experience all around.

sional and really listened to what our vision was for our big day!

was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive to our requests. The photographers and videographers captured every special moment beautifully, and their attention to detail was impeccable. They made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire day, which really shows in the natural and candid shots they took. The final photos and videos were stunning and exceeded our expectations. The staff was not only skilled but also genuinely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, and their passion for their work was evident in every interaction. I highly recommend George Street Photography to anyone looking for top-notch photography and videography services. They truly made our wedding day unforgettable, and we are grateful for their hard work and dedication.

n for photographs with us and our wedding party at an additional location between the ceremony and the reception. Our photographer had experience in the area we were having our reception and was able to help us find a beautiful location. Our photographer, Gina, is amazing. Super chill, kind, gave great suggestions and was very friendly. One suggestion she gave saved our cutting of the cake photos and our first dance photos. She had experience at our venue and knew that they have a spotlight that they like to shine on the cake and couple, however the lighting is really bad for the photos because it causes shadows. Because of Gina, we were able to have that light kept off and our pictures are amazing. Absolutely beautiful. Each one is like a work of art. It was very hard to narrow down photos for our album. I highly recommend George Street. The quality and the service will exceed expectations.

fore and during the wedding. On the day of, they really showed their expertise and knew exactly what photos we would want and how to get them. They were also really flexible with ad hoc photos that we asked them about on the day of as well. We've really liked how the photos turned out, too. Really positive experience, highly recommend.

about payments, and prompt to respond to email questions. The photographers themselves made my day run smoothly and gave great positive energy the entire day. I haven’t received my wedding photos back yet, but I can say my engagement session was great, and those photos were exactly what I envisioned.

ck earlier than expected. Would recommend!
