Karen was very kind, helpful, responsive and accommodating through the wedding planning process. Genesis executed the beautiful florals for my bridal shower seamlessly. The day of ...
the wedding I was very happy with the quality and design of the florals, but unfortunately there were hiccups throughout the entire wedding day. To start we had an issue with my bouquet which was not the colors discussed and needed to be sent back, but that was quickly rectified. As we were leaving the hotel we discovered the petals for the flower girl were missing - this was overlooked as part of the contract though it was previously discussed to be added. The petals were delivered minutes before the ceremony. The beauty of the reception arrangements met my expectations however my biggest complaint was not all of the centerpieces could be taken home as agreed upon. We discussed that the flowers would be in a dish and could be taken home, but that didn’t end up being the case for the low centerpieces. The low centerpieces had to be thrown out since there was physically no way for them to be taken home without the rented vessels. We reached out to Karen with our feedback, and surprisingly she suggested that we should have hired a day of coordinator to make sure that the items we contracted with her were provided correctly, blaming it on the fact that we had a couple last minute additions. A middle man should not be needed to manage this - they are hired and paid to provide a service and produce products correctly based on what they offer. And if last minute additions could not be accommodated, that should have been communicated directly. I know that not every couple spends a high level of money on florals, so by doing this we expected a certain level of service and attention to detail. Overall we were happy with the beauty of the florals but disappointed with the way things were handled. I would still recommend Genesis to others, while advising they triple check that their floral order matches what’s communicated.
My husband and I searched for a while to find the perfect florist for our wedding. Karen and her staff at Genesis definitely made our wedding amazing. We had concerns (given all th...
e drama in the news about gay weddings) to find a vendor that would be LGBT welcoming. Karen and her staff were amazingly welcoming and worked to make our day amazing.
We were engaged in the tropics and so we wanted to bring some of that style to our reception. We pulled in various flowers into our pinterest board (I cannot stress enough how helpful a pinterest board was for this) and worked on seeing what we liked and what we didn’t like. We also worked to make sure that the wedding was not covered in white roses or such (the benefit of a gay wedding is that we can be as nontraditional as we want to be for the event).
Karen and her staff made our floral dreams come true. We kept the wedding itself somewhat subdued (since it was in a garden, we didn’t need much more than some flowers draping on the arch and a few on the aisle). The big explosion of tropical flowers was in the reception afterwards. The tables were covered in tropical flowers (monastera and birds of paradise were the inspiration) and it was simply wonderful.
We debated how to best do the cake and decided against a topper and worked with Karen to have flowers cascading down the tiers. Karen made our idea come to life. The cake was just dripping in birds of paradise and was just beautiful. I almost didn’t want to cut it!
It was a huge success and we were very pleased with Karen and her staff at Genesis. I would highly recommend Genesis to our LGBT friends and family looking for a wedding florist.

nd did not push us out of our comfort zone. Genesis Floral arrived on time with a small team to set up the event. When they were done, the reception hall looked stunning! All of their pieces were gorgeous!! Days later, guests still raved about how beautiful all of the arrangements were. We ordered our centerpieces, sweet heart table, bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and even cake decorations. We were very impressed with the quality of the flowers and the level of detail the team put into our event. They made our wedding day even more special! We plan on using Genesis Floral again and again!

t find a single photo that captured it all. So we talked a lot, I shared photos of things I did like, colors I wanted and of course, the budget I had to work with. There was some back and forth, some creative ideas on how to get the look but stay under budget. I trusted their expertise and was not disappointed! Genesis Floral took all my hopes and dreams, and delivered the most beautiful wedding flowers I’ve ever seen (though I am 100% biased).
Book them! They will hear you out and work with you to get you that perfect look you’re dreaming of.
