Jered was absolutely the best choice for our wedding. He was incredibly organized and personable when coordinating with him leading up to our wedding day. He was equally helping in...
emcee'ing the day of and prepping everything before the ceremony started. Additionally, he knew exactly how to read the crowd once the cocktail hour and reception were in full swing. We received tons of compliments on the music and so many people were around and dancing until our wedding wrapped at midnight. We're really glad we went with him, he helped set the tone for the reception and everyone had a great time.
Gen X Productions were great on the wedding day, and even prior to help me plan the event. Jered was very well organized and very receptive to the style of music that we wanted for...
our ceremony and reception. Even with some last minute snafus, Jered was on top of everything and helping us work things out. It was great working with him and his assistant - I couldn't have asked for a better DJ!
We highly recommend Jered of Generation X Productions as your wedding DJ, especially for the Farm Kitchen venue in Poulsbo, WA. Jered is punctual, highly professional, and clearly ...
knows his stuff. With very limited rehearsal time he coordinated both the pianist and officiant for a flawless outdoor ceremony, then quickly transitioned to music for the cocktail hour and reception. As MC for the evening, he unobtrusively kept our timeline intact while gracefully accommodating a few last minute requests. We had a blast dancing and the dance floor was packed until the very end of the night.
We booked GenXPro after a friend had them at her wedding. We were hesitant because we didn't love the music at her wedding. After talking to Jared he let us know that the music is ...
totally up to the client.
My husband and I created a "play list" of songs that we liked and send them to Jared 2 weeks prior. He had almost everyone one on the dance floor all night.
I remember stopping at one point when everyone was jumping up and down and thinking the floor was going to collapse because almost 100 people were on the dance floor.
Jared and his assistant didn't miss a beat. They made announcements, helped us create a smooth move between stages of the reception.
All of our guests have mentioned how amazing our DJ's were and how they would hire them.
I hope anyone I know getting married books GenXPro as they are amazing!
THANKS JARED!!
When looking for DJs, our wedding planner highly recommended Gen X Pro even though they were not on the listed vendors for our venue. I am so, so happy that we went with Gen X Pro!...
During the initial meeting, Jered was already very friendly, professional, and organized. My husband and I had absolutely no direction or ideas about music, but Jered was so patient and put us at ease by being thorough and informative.
Jered was so responsive with emails and went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy throughout the entire process. Again, he was so patient and wonderful when I kept making switches to my song choices.
Jered was perfect on the day of the wedding! He played all the right songs, and I was so impressed with his own independent choices. I didn't give much guidance with my recessional song (which was "Love is an Open Door"), and he started the song at the second verse with the iconic line, "We finish each other's -- sandwiches." He came afterwards to me and told me he hoped he made the right choice, and he did! I was thrilled that he had made sure that line was included, and to me, it was such a nice touch to include that.
Throughout the reception and during the dancing, Jered was such a charismatic and engaging MC and a wonderful MC. A lot of people told me that they loved the song choices played during dinner (which I had marked as DJ's choice), and the music played for the dance floor was perfect. We had a ton of people dancing by the end of the night, including my mom and dad!
Jered was definitely one of the best vendors that I worked with during the wedding process. Do yourself a favor -- if you need a DJ, go with Gen X Pro!
We wanted a DJ who would play our requests and be able to fill in the rest. That’s exactly what GenXPro did for us. By request, they stayed out of the way most of the time, and did...
any necessary announcements we required. We met a few months beforehand and he had a questionnaire to fill out, giving us lots of options for songs, styles, even asking about how much we want the DJ involved in things (from super active, life of the party, to in the background and occasional announcements). He did everything we requested, gave comments about a few things he thought might not work well on the dance floor, and was generally very accommodating. We’ve seen other DJs ruin weddings, but Jered and GenXPro were exactly what we wanted.
Jered did a great job at our wedding! He played the exact music we wanted and kept everyone on the dance floor! There were DJ's the night of our wedding and they really helped with...
logistics and timing, so that was a great added benefit rather than just having one...everything was on time and perfect! Their prices are really good and they are dependable and reliable and we are so happy we picked them!
We were nervous that using a DJ for our reception could turn out too "club-like"... we didn't want obnoxious music bopping in the background or blaring too loudly over the speakers...

From the first meeting, Ollie assured us of how professional and organized they are. He FAR SURPASSED what he promised. They kept things moving without us ever feeling concerned once. Everything was smooth, organized, and so enjoyable. We felt so taken care of.
And the music choices were AWESOME. We gave them a list of some of our favorite songs/artists, and they put together playlist after playlist that were 100% us. As well as keeping up with playing requests (running them by us if need be), keeping up with the vibe of the room, etc.
All this goes to say-- they are AWESOME.
Ollie and Jered are amazing! They completely exceeded my expectations, and helped make our wedding even better then I would have imagined!

nything unexpected or unwanted. They were awesome! We even got to both Ollie and Jared since we were their only wedding that night!
I love these guys. They are professional, they are courteous and they are good at what they do. Not one missed cue, wrong song, static feedback or missed announcement the entire ni...
ght. They have a detailed packet for you to fill out that they follow to a T, it outlines songs you want, STYLE of music you want if you don't have specific songs you want, what you'd like them to wear and how much DJ involvement you want on your big day. The BEST thing about them for me was their unending patients with me and my family. I wanted to exit after the ceremony to Jesu Joy of Mans desiring played by my mother on the harp. There just wasn't anyway that should could actually play it at the venue so we wanted to record it. We were late getting started with it and my mom was practicing right up until 2 days before the wedding. Despite needing to have everything ready to go Jared told my mom to just get him the copy whenever she could and he would fit it in even if it was the night before. She was so relieved and I got to have that special moment, I can never thank them enough for that patience.
We used GenXPro for our September wedding at Kitsap Memorial State Park. Jered was our DJ, and he helped us from the beginning. I love these guys because they are very profession...
al and have a system to make sure all the aspects of your day are planned. Jered spent a lot of time with my husband and myself discussing the wedding day and what we were looking for. They were able to do the music for the ceremony and reception. Jered did a great job as our emcee for the evening and kept the reception moving along. I would highly recommend these guys for any event where you need music.
Use these guys.

ey run a great wedding.
They will MC it for you and have tons of options for uplighting, projection screens, and many other accessories.
They take the time to meet with you and go through everything too, it is a very comforting feeling knowing they were our DJs.
We really liked Jered who was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for planning the ceremony and reception. He was flexible in meeting with us when we were near our venue i...
n Kitsap as we are from Seattle, and he came to our last venue visit to finalize things. Our guests were not particularly big dancers, but Jered and Jonathan kept the energy up. I had peripherally mentioned in an email that I liked 2 bands and they played one of my favorite songs by both that got me dancing when I'd been so busy mingling. Jered also added another small speaker system (free of charge) to maximize the sound for our venue. Our only wish was that Jered had reviewed our specific songs sooner for the ceremony. We submitted the forms 1 month in advance, but it was not until 3 days before the wedding that we were told he couldn't find our recessional song, which is pretty obscure. We overnighted the cd to us. The next day we were informed he could not find the correct instrumental version of a processional song. We found the mp3 for 99 cents on AMZ and he downloaded it. It was a bit of unnecessary stress for $1200. We still recommend GenXPro, but make sure you have copies of your songs or that you inform them if you think your songs may be difficult to locate.
GenXPro made everything so easy by giving me lists and outlines to work with. The reception was awesome! I didn't think people would stay till last call, but they did! Jared rea...
