About this vendor
Most companies will spend their time talking, not listening. The worst part, most of what they're saying has nothing to do with what they can do for YOU. We want to learn as much as we can about your vision for your special day, and then talk about how we can bring your vision to life. This is one of the most important days of your life, your DJ should treat your wedding as if it were their own. Contact us, and tell us about your wedding. Then, let's talk about how we can make it all come together, without busting your budget. We'll also coordinate with you, and all of your vendors the day of, to make sure everything is running smoothly. From booking us, to the last dance, a professional, experienced, detail oriented DJ will be with you every step! Uplights and monograms also available!

Ken and Halen were incredible to work with! Ken was extremely responsive, answered every question, and was very thorough in making sure we were happy. Halen was our DJ for the rece...
ption and was awesome! He met every song request, played music that fit the crowd, and even edited a song on the spot. You cannot go wrong with Gateway City Entertainment!
Jason from KC's made our day absolutely amazing! He was so easy to work with and every time I had a question for him he was more than accommodating! He kept our party going all ni...
ght long and it was a party! I cannot say enough good things about him, he really helped to make our day perfect!
We planned our wedding from Seattle, and long distance planning is tough! But Ken made the musical process so easy for us. Ken is really great with communication; I would hear from...
him within hours of each email. He's also a radio personality on several Champaign stations and so he has endless music lists on his computer. If one of my songs wasn't on his lists, we downloaded it and cut it to the right version I wanted. He also let me play my own personal Spotify during the cocktail hour, which was a special list of songs I created.
I recommend meeting with them a week or two before your big day; that's what Jason and I did and that was when he asked me what kind of music I wanted during the reception(pop, show tunes, club, country), how I wanted transitions to work, uplighting, microphones for various people, and so forth. It's just a great time for them to get to know your personality and style.
Overall I had a terrific experience with this company. You don't really want your guests to even notice your dj until after dinner at the reception, and that's exactly what Jason did. He was flawless.
Overall, I would highly rate this vendor - don't let the older website or use of Comic Sans throw you. Ken is excellent with responding to emails and while he was not our DJ day of...
, he ensured that our day-of DJ understood all of our notes. There was zero miscommunications and everything went seamlessly.
He also threw in a "paid in full" discount, does not charge additionally for ceremony music, and threw in some uplighting all for free.
Ken was the DJ for our daughters wedding on Saturday night. He was by far the best DJ I have ever heard. So many of our guests asked about Ken and were extremely impressed. He went...
above and beyond. Thanks, Ken.
We had Jason for our wedding ceremony and reception and he was seriously the best wedding DJ I've ever come in contact with. He was super easy to work with and very accommodating ...
of my controlling self haha. He read the crowd so well and I can honestly say that once open dancing started, the dance floor was ALWAYS full. That never happens! So so happy with the service.
I had Jason as our DJ through KC's (aka Ken) service. Ken was extremely quick to answer all of my e-mails and questions. We chose uplighting and a monogram with our DJ service and...
they turned out amazing! Our DJ Jason was a great sport about taking requests from my guests (who seemed to have a new request every 3 minutes). He entertained both the kids and the older adults with the song choices. He also did the music for our ceremony and completely nailed it. We even had some songs that weren't normal ceremony songs and instead of declining to play them they were all about it! I would highly recommend this DJ company to anyone getting married in Central Illinois!
I can not say enough good things about KC's DJ Service. Ken has everything so organized and makes the planning process so easy. However, he impresses even more on the wedding day. ...
In my area, the DJ's are lackluster at best, so Ken traveled for our day. He has such an energetic voice, has the bride and groom's best interest at heart and keeps the crowd entertained. The music selection is perfect for both dinner and dancing. I even had people asking me where we got our DJ because of the job he did. Such an awesome person and service provided.
Ken was AMAZING!!! He did such a great job and we didn't even meet him before the wedding so I was a little nervous. Also you can't beat the price. We had the basic uplighting pack...
age and the lighted monogram as well and it's totally worth it!! I highly recommend him to anyone!
Ken is a fun and professional DJ and I highly recommend booking him for your wedding! He has an informative questionnaire for the bride and groom to fill out to ensure that he play...
s the music you want, and starts the special dances (i.e. first dance, dollar dance, etc...) on time. There are tons of questions on there that you would never even think of, but it ensures that everything runs smoothly at your reception! We received TONS of compliments on our DJ- young and old enjoyed the songs he played.
My daughter and her husband had Jason dj their reception. He was wonderful and the dance floor was packed the entire evening. Thank you!!
Ken is very easy to work with and is great in the communication department. This was one of the easiest things about our reception because Ken made everything absolutely a piece of...
cake! He is very professional and is someone you really can rely on! Ken did a great job and really kept the room hopping! He took requests and made our guests very happy. Thanks Ken for the great time and for truly making our reception a success!
Ken was perfect! He gave us a questionnaire so he could make sure our reception ran smoothly. Totally took the stress away from us. He even graciously accepted the MANY, MANY chang...
es I made. Even with the questionnaire we still had to wing everything because the food wasn't ready. Ken had that "go with the flow" attitude. Just like us! Always go with Ken!
Ken was a wonderful DJ. He even did my ceremony music for me. He answered any questions I had along the way and I knew with him in charge I had one less thing to worry about. There...
was a mix up of artist for a song for my husband and daughter to dance to, in 2 mins Ken had the correct version. I would never fear recommending him to someone he was all that and more.
Ken Cunningham, Josh, and the rest of the crew were great to work with. Ken was able to add karaoke for us with no problem, even though we'd already signed the contract. They were ...
there setting up in plenty of time, and did everything we asked and more. We would definitely use them again!
