Gadabouts Catering Services

ped me with all of my visions. I truly felt cared for in the planning process with her recommendations and customizations. We did a southern style menu and it was such a hit and SO GOOD. So many guests raved about the food. The charcuterie display was incredible and so impressive at our cocktail hour too. Could not say enough great things about Gadabouts!

r team went above and beyond and I could not recommend them more for a wedding or event.

eping our guest’s full and wanting more! She helped us craft a gorgeous Italian winter menu with an extravagant personalized pasta bar with live chefs! Our guests were amazed by Gadabouts work! Catie’s above-and-beyond care made our winter wonderland wedding feel extra magical!

as just perfect! The food tasted wonderful. The staff were all kind and courteous, and I couldn't believe how smooth everything came together. Thank you so much for providing catering and bartending for our wedding! We were so pleased with everything!

n and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Catie is the BEST!

y the crew went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly. The food was absolutely delicious, even our guests are still raving about it! We’re so grateful to Gadabouts for being such a fabulous catering vendor.

elicious!! Every bite was perfection. They handled everything menu, table settings, water goblets, gorgeous waterfall napkins plus they even set up a s’mores bar for our guests! Their service is flawless, fun, and elevates your wedding in every way. If you want incredible food and a team that makes your day effortless and magical, Gadabouts is it!

y recommend taking part in a food tasting because there are so many good options to choose from. All our guests raved about the food and the bartenders/servers were fantastic. We found Gadabout’s to be reasonably priced and they were easily able to handle all our dietary restrictions.

t decision. The food was so good and Catie was so professional, we ended up using them for our rehearsal dinner as well! People at our wedding could not stop talking about how good the food was. I even had our DJ come up to me and tell me that out of all the weddings he had done, this was the best food he had had. Not to mention the desserts… they were AMAZING!! I cannot recommend this company enough!!

nd beyond in every way — professional, warm, and so easy to work with throughout the entire process. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had a carving station with steak, and our guests are still raving about how delicious it was. The assorted desserts and cake were also a huge hit — beautifully presented and just as good as they looked. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the staff. Every single person, from the servers to the bartenders, was incredibly friendly and attentive — even during the busiest moments. Our guests repeatedly told us how kind and welcoming the team was, and that kind of service truly makes a lasting impression. We heard over and over again that it was some of the best wedding food people have ever had — and we couldn’t agree more. If you're looking for top-notch catering with amazing service and delicious food, Gadabouts is the way to go!

nd we received SO many compliments on the food! They are a little bit pricey, but I feel it was worth every penny.

bout the food. Everything tasted great and met every expectation. The buffet was labeled which helped some of our guests with food sensitivities. We also used them for our bar services. The servers and bartenders did an excellent job. Working with Gadabouts was very easy. We did a tasting and then we were able to pick our menu based off our preferences. They were quick with email responses. They provided excellent service and we were so happy we chose them for our wedding!

ding day and the service both nights was exquisite. They had drinks waiting on us after walking back down the aisle and plates full of food at our table as soon as we were ready! We also used them for bartending and they were excellent at that as well. Sweet and personable bartenders! Couldn't recommend them enough!

om the very first email inquiry, the responses from this vendor were prompt, professional, friendly, and so helpful. I've gotten used to a level of service from many businesses thtat leave alot to be desired. That is not the case with Gadabouts. Catie heled us plan an amazing reception. She sent us over menus (there are sooo many options), bar packages and other information quickly and then created a customized menu within our budget that included all our "must haves". Not once did I feel I was being pushed to spend more. Catie was happy to make suggestions and I literally nevevr heard her say "no we can't do that". Every email was responded to promptly, and she was careful to answer every single question. We also rented the place settings, flatware, and table linens through Gadabouts, and it made everything so easy. I felt completely confident that the cocktail hour and dinner would be amazing and I wasn't dissappointed. We chose the "Taste of the South" menu with some alterations and all was delicious. We received so many compliments on the food. I have to say, I fell in love with the shrimp and grits -which is normally not a favorite of mine. I'd also like to compliment the staff. I have been to numerous weddings where the servers have an attitude and seem to be annoyed to be there. The Gadabouts staff were so professional, friendly and accomodating. I really can't say enough about this company. They really check all the boxes. Catie was so gracious and helpful, that by the time I finally met her at the reception, I felt like she was a friend. I really wish I'd taken pictures of the food because it was beautiful, but I guess I was too "in the moment" because I realized I have none. You can't go wrong with this caterer.

for our big day. She was so flexible, positive, and supportive throughout the whole catering planning process even when we had to postpone during Covid. The food was delicious and everyone loved our signature cocktails (fall sangria and old fashioneds)! I highly recommend her team for any event and especially a wedding!

ahead of our event, and our initial tasting was absolutely excellent. As soon as we tasted the food we knew immediately we wanted to book with Gadabouts for our wedding. Everything we tasted was amazing and actually made it difficult to choose what we wanted to have at our wedding. They were also very flexible with the menu, both regarding how many/what types of items to include as well as the specific ingredients in a certain dish. They made several small changes to their menu items to align with our tastes and all the food was absolutely perfect on the wedding day. Additionally, Catie was a great help in planning the catering and bartending services in the months leading up to the wedding. She answered all of our questions, coordinated all the tableware, glassware, and linens, and even guided us through everything we would need to provide since we decided to stock the bar ourselves. If you are considering Gadabouts as your caterer for any event, you will absolutely not be disappointed. Both the food and the service are unmatched. P.S. Try the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese - one of the best things I have ever eaten!

le to work out a solution. The food was amazing!! The shrimp and grits were my favorite, and it was so nice to have stations where guests could choose their food preference.

prime rib & lemon herb chicken, the mashed potato bar, Brussel sprouts, salad, and rolls. For cocktail hour we got - mini crab cakes, mini beef Wellington’s, bacon Mac n cheese, and a charcuterie board. Our guests raved about the mini crab cakes! 10/10 recommend Gadabouts. They also provided our plates, utensils, cups, and napkins which made the whole process so much easier for us. From the service to the food, you cannot go wrong! Thank you!!

ered the cordon blue chicken and the steak. Highly recommend!!

wedding. The communication was great, they answered all our questions through email quickly, and we had a lot haha! The staff there were so friendly! We did the tasting, rehearsal dinner, wedding night food and late night snacks with them. All of the food was exceptional and we got rave reviews from our friends and family about how great the food and service was. If we ever need anything catered again and we are in that area, we will certainly be using them again! Overall, wonderful experience!

tems we were served, for example, our chicken was dry and bland. We asked for a second tasting, but they only do tastings in their "slow season," which stopped in March. We were a little upset by this, we would've done a tasting on Monday morning if we could have. However, we already signed a contract and they had such great reviews so we decided to change a couple of the items we knew we didn't like and hope for the best. The food on the day of our wedding was simply average. Nothing was seasoned well, the corn tasted fresh out of the can, and we were served dry chicken again. Maybe our wedding was just during one of their busier times and we didn't get the best product. The owners are very nice and accommodating and they have a large selection (which is maybe why their food isn't all that great), but just an average wedding meal.

ading up to the wedding day there’s not one thing I would have wanted differently. Our guests continue to talk about how amazing the food was. The service during our event was awesome, everyone was extremely professional and efficient I never noticed one empty drink glass and our guest had plenty of food. I would highly recommend them for your event, we can’t say enough good things about our experience with them – Catie is amazing!!

Book them

ds, fresh fruit, and different jams and spreads. Our guests went up for seconds, thirds, fourths...and we had to remind them that we had dinner coming :) Gadabouts was super flexible in planning our dream dinner and customized a BBQ pulled pork, mac 'n' cheese, and fried chicken spread for us. It was delicious and I was so happy we had some leftovers! They were also super thoughtful--they found out some of our guests were children and they added on some cupcakes with fun-colored frosting for the kids. They were a hit!

o and work with throughout the wedding process. I found myself wanting to go hang out with them just to have a great laugh. Hiring a caterer for your daughter’s wedding is by far, in my opinion, one of the most important vendors to get spot on and hiring Gadabouts was a bullseye. Eileen helped us from the very beginning to establish a menu within our budget and meeting our many dietary restrictions (Lactosse free, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan). The contract with Gadabouts was so detailed (which I love) there was no room for miscommunication of expectations. Eileen even took time to review our equipment rental contract to help us make sure that we covered everything we may need for a beautifully presented and flawless service. When my daughter and I went up to NC for a tasting, we were blown away by the seasoning and flavors that the chef put into every dish. No kidding, it was by far our favorite meal the whole time we were in the area. So much so that we ended up tweaking the menu to include grilled trout instead of chicken for a wedding with over 100 guests. Never in a million years would I have added grilled fish for that many people, the odds of getting every piece perfect is not in your favor, but Gadabouts did that and more. I know because our guests are still raving about the food. I highly recommend hiring Gadabouts for any catering event. They are very accommodating; they provided a stress free professional service and setup for both our reception and bar. My only regret is not taking the time to chat with them after the wedding to let them know just how much we appreciated everything.

e service attentive, and I was so glad to have Emily help with making sure all the weekend's events went smoothly. Gadabouts has a long history in the High Country of NC, they have a great reputation and hands-on expertise to back up that reputation. Choosing Gadabouts was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made, we highly recommend them : )

are so many options and the food is amazing. Gadabouts is flexible and easy to work with, I highly recommend them!

d. The wedding guests raved about the food and everything was set up and executed to a T. 10/10 recommend!

anges and ensure my day was perfect and don’t even get me started on how amazing the food was. They will be my go to catering company and the standard that I expect from any other company I work with if I can’t work with them. Pick them, you will not be sorry!!

ent - the search is over. 10/10 recommend!

olutely perfect and we are so happy we chose Gadabouts to help us with our big day!

t wedding food they have every had. Eileen was so great through the wedding process and really helped us execute what we wanted within our budget. Highly suggest them for any event!

e preferred vendors list given to us from our venue and I was immediately drawn to them because they also could provide a day of wedding coordinator. Everyone is still talking about how delicious the food was and how wonderful everything turned out. Eileen was a dream to work with and put all my fears of what our wedding would look like in a pandemic out the window. The day of my mom was more stressed than I was thinking about tying all the loose ends together but Eileen and her staff took care of everything and we were able to relax and enjoy the day. The day of ran so smoothly and we couldn’t be happier! I loved that Eileen was involved with both the food and the coordination, I think that is was made everything come together the way it did! I recommend Gadabouts Catering to everyone and definitely hire Eileen for the day of coordinator! She also provides a little more than day of if you need a little more guidance!

wedding in October 2020. The food was cold when served. We only had 20 guest seated across three tables. The first table was completely finished with their food before the third table even got their food. The wait staff was non existent. My guest had to get up and go to the bar to get refills of soda and water. The bartender was observed often sitting behind the bar on a cooler which left some to wonder if she was even in the bar as she couldn't be seen. The servers only came out of the kitchen to serve food and clear plates. It took over 45 mins between salad and entree to be served. I made the mistake of giving an envelope with a large tip in advance to my coordinator for the catering staff and bartender. If I could go back in time I would not have left a single cent. The biscuits crumbled when you attempted to place butter on them. For 20 people, my dinner included 2 passed appetizers, a salad, bread/biscuits, and a choice of one of two proteins (Stuffed Chicken or Tenderloin). There was no alcohol included or dessert and we spent $200 a person. That does not include the $800 in rental fees for linen, glassware, flatware and china. In my opinion, I would start your search elsewhere! I wouldn't recommended them for any event large or small. Think about how much they messed up a 20 person wedding. Can you imagine what they would do to a 100 person event!

ocess, and there were many changes and pivots along the way! As a mother of the bride, and this being our first wedding planning experience, I relied on Eileen's expertise and "don't worry, we've got this" attitude to get us through! We knew we were in the right hands with Gadabouts! The food was delicious, the staff was professional, warm and friendly, and our guests were well taken care of and all had an amazing time! I am so grateful to Eileen and her staff for being patient and supportive and for helping to make Katharine and Damon's dream wedding a day they will always remember!

ss! We were so pleased with her attention to detail, prompt communication and catering knowledge. She is something else... The wedding dishes we chose were absolutely delicious and our guests are still talking about them. The catering team's service was exceptional! Seriously, do not look further! Gadabouts is it!!!

ich helps calm down an anxious bride when juggling several vendors at once! She was flexible and easy to work with and her staff delivered an amazing spread the day of our wedding! Couldn't have asked for a better caterer! Don't fret if you forget last minute things she's your gal to come through and deliver on those items!

er had, and my husband's carnivore option he said was amazing as well. The staff was incredibly professional. The bartenders were great, and the wait staff was as well. My husband and I broke away for a second for pictures while everyone went through the line for food, and when we came back they had plates of cocktail hour appetizers and our meal plates at our table waiting for us! Everyone always says you don't have time to eat at your wedding, well we definitely did thanks to their help! I highly recommend them for your future event!

tly what I wanted. Her staff was amazing and knew what they were doing. The food was great! We had a BBQ buffet with all the trimmings and all of our guests were going on and on about it. They even put together a to-go box for my groom and I because we didn't get to eat very much at the reception. The cake they made for us to cut was exceptional as well. Not only is Eileen and Gadabouts an awesome catering decision...Eileen is an awesome wedding planner as well. She is really someone you can trust. Highly recommended!

and two options for dinner. We did the grilled cheese tomato soup shots; and I will tell you if you do not pick these, you are MISSING out. They are SO good. We also did the meatballs, which are also great. And a chicken roulade or something, which I didn't have. The dinner we did stuffed chicken with goat cheese, which I'll be completely honest, made me sick, and the beef tenderloin, which everyone seemed really happy with. I do not want to fault them completely with the chicken, I'm unsure if I was still nervous from the day, or if goat cheese doesn't sit well with my stomach, so it could be a number of things. Overall, I'm extremely happy with them and would recommend them to anyone!
