About this vendor
Located in Mazama, WA, Freestone Inn is a historic ranch property that is ideal for rustic weddings. Established in the late 1940s, this property was once 12 acres of hardscrabble bottomland. After original owner Jack Wilson and his wife Elsie purchased the lot, they worked hard to make it into the thriving cabin community it is today.
What started as six cabins, a stock barn, a garden, and a one-acre lake has grown into an outdoor paradise. As the notoriety of the property spread, it drew in the likes of movie stars, international leaders, and politicians. As a teacher and mentor, Jack fostered an environment where new skills flourished and learning never stopped. His vision for a year-round resort came to fruition in 1996 with Freestone Inn. The original cabins on the land have been restored and nine additional builds following the same pattern were erected. Couples and guests staying overnight will have the option of sleeping in these secluded lots or at the lodge in rooms or suites. Each guest room features a gas fireplace, air conditioning, a private veranda, media equipment, and other essentials. The property is also host to a 24-hour hot tub, direct access to Methow Valley skiing, and a handful of other recreational activities. Those wanting to hold gatherings can do so with ease.
This secluded getaway is about two hours from the nearest airport. It truly gives the experience of a quiet mountain retreat, surrounded by nature and wildlife. There are various intimate meeting spaces throughout the resort and plenty of activities to supplement free time. Those planning on having catered occasions will be able to work with the gourmet culinary crew, curating menus that suit the event. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all accommodated. Personalization requests are welcome and Freestone Inn’s staff does all they can to make a couple’s celebration special.

We had such an amazing experience at the Freestone Inn for our wedding. We picked the location somewhat sight-unseen and were completely blown away by the natural beauty of the ven...
ue the first time we saw it in person - the lake, the mountains, the backdrop was everything we wanted. Becky & Jaime were also so incredibly great to work with and made wedding planning from 2000+ miles away feel effortless. We hired them for day-of coordination and they were communicative, responsive, and professional. They had a great aesthetic sense that really helped turn our vision into reality. They and the rest of the team at the Freestone were pivotal in making the weekend go so seamlessly and perfectly. I could not recommend the Freestone Inn or Becky & Jaime enough. Thank you so much for the perfect day!
We hosted our welcome party at Jack's Hut and had a great experience. Becky and her team are clearly pros when it comes to hosting events—great communication, easy to work with, an...
d super laid-back. The space had a fun vibe, and the food was solid. Would definitely recommend!
Our wedding at the Freestone Inn was perfect. The venue is beautiful. Our guests loved it. We chose to hire Rich with Love Events for our day of coordination and we are so thankful...
we did. Jaime and Becky made our day run so smoothly that we felt like we didn’t have anything to worry about. They handled everything from small details to huge issues (like finding us a backup officiant at the very last minute) with ease. They made sure our wedding was absolutely amazing. They’re great at what they do and we can’t recommend them enough.
We used the Freestone Inn for outside catering. We got married at another venue in Mazama and then worked with the Freestone Inn to provide dinner. Becky and Jaime were SO easy to ...
work with. They were accommodating and quick to communicate throughout the whole process. We had one guest with a gluten intolerance and they were helpful in giving us options and flagging things that would potentially be issues. They also were thoughtful in selection of dishes - we loved their options for locally available and fresh ingredients! The day of the wedding, they were early and set up a beautiful table and stayed throughout the dinner to help our guests. The food was incredible! Salmon can be tricky, especially keeping it at the right temperature, but it was perfect. The salad and and the veggies were amazing pairings and we loved the rice pilaf. The Mazama store bread was also the cherry on top! There was more than enough delicious food for everyone (and many of our guests came back for seconds)! Becky and Jaimie even packaged up the leftovers and kept them so we could grab them the next morning. We REALLY enjoyed their food and their ease of communication/management. Thank you!!
The Freestone Inn was the perfect destination wedding in the Methow Valley. We first stayed at the Freestone for a friend's wedding and had such a wonderful time at their event tha...
t we booked Freestone for our wedding a year later. Our wedding vision was to connect with our guests and enable them to connect with each other over the course of a weekend away. The Freeston's onsite event coordinator (Jaime) and her team helped so much with advice on vendors, day of coordination, and planning sessions that we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding. Additionally, the Freestone's spacious rooms, onsite pool and range of reception options made it an ideal spot for our guests to hang and play in the woods while still providing great lodging amenities. Mazama is such a special place for us and we were thrilled to discover this gem of a venue. Great value, kind people, and wonderful coordination so you can focus on spending time with your guests. We highly recommend!
I dont know where to begin! My husband and I wanted to get married in the mountains with some snow and have a small wedding with just close family and friends. My photographer sugg...
ested North Cascades NP for the ceremony so I searched for a cute place to stay and have the reception! Freestone Inn popped up and it couldn't have been more perfect! Jaime was my event coordinator and was extremely helpful with helping us plan our destination wedding! Living in Arizona and never seeing the venue in person was a little nerve-wracking but Jaime answered all my questions and calmed me down! We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Jaime and her staff. They worked around the clock to make sure we had an amazing brunch for our wedding and the staff made my dream cake. A waffle cake! Thank you for everything you did and we can't wait to hopefully be back there on our 1 year anniversary :)
The Freestone Inn was the ideal location for our adventure weekend wedding. The lodge, cabins, grounds and general gathering spaces available provided the perfect setting for the o...
utdoor-elegance feel we were going for. After months of wedding planning, the emerging pandemic caused us to pause our wedding plans for May 2020. Jaime, the event coordinator, who had been so incredibly helpful the whole time, went above and beyond as the pandemic became more real and we were living in a world of uncertainty. They gladly refunded our deposit on the venue and removed our guest names from the reserved rooms list without a charge or hassle. It all went so smoothly and their consideration for us helped remove a huge stressor during that time. I would highly recommend considering this venue, especially in this new day and age due to the ability to have it so self-contained, private, and with plenty of outdoor spaces on the grounds and within a short drive for guests to spend their time.
Jaime and the staff at the Freestone Inn were absolutely amazing to work with. They were attentive to our vision, budget, and worked to make our ideas come together. When we had to...
