Great gluten free wedding cake option in Carmel!
We had such a great experience working with Freedom Bakery. Every step of the process was smooth from the initial kick off call with Paul to lay out all the steps, to the take-home...
tasting session that we did, to the pick-up and transfer (packaged perfectly to survive both a steep hill and warm weather).
The cake ended up looking just like we pictured and was a huge hit for how delicious it was (everyone especially loved the raspberry amaretto flavor). We are already looking forward to getting our anniversary cake from Freedom Bakery next year!

h us to design our dream cake while staying on budget and with mockups while also giving great advice to be able to fit our custom cake topper! Our cake tasting was also so much fun and meeting the team in person to pick up the take home tasting reinforced just how friendly and easy to work with they are. Every slice of cake we tried was delicious and made it hard to choose. They have a wide variety of wedding cake flavors that goes well beyond the standard cake options - and you get to try all of them!
On the day of our wedding the cake looked exactly as envisioned and was so tasty! We were so thrilled when we saw it. It was perfect!

the entire process feel effortless.
One of my favorite parts was how easy they made the tasting process—you can enjoy the tastings from the comfort of your own home, which made choosing our wedding cake both convenient and fun. And the final product? Absolutely beautiful and just as delicious as it looked!
Their attention to detail was amazing, and they truly brought our vision to life. The pricing was also very reasonable, especially considering the quality, beautiful presentation, and care that went into everything.
Our wedding cake was not only gorgeous but genuinely delicious, and it was such a special part of our day. Freedom Bakery helped make our wedding day extra sweet—and definitely extra tasty! 🍰💍
If you’re looking for a bakery that is talented, responsive, detail-oriented, and easy to work with, I highly recommend Freedom Bakery!

Freedom Bakery made our cutting cake for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We requested a heart-shaped, 4-layer cake with the Belgian chocolate ganache and ...
chocolate mousse flavor (the Monterey), and it was incredible! We had a family member pick it up (they don't deliver 1-tier cakes) at their Monterey location, and it stayed quite well up until the cake-cutting portion of the evening. We will definitely be back around our first anniversary to order a similar cake to celebrate.
Paul and the team at Freedom did an incredible job with our wedding cake. From our first phone call, Paul was committed to bringing our vision to life. He went above and beyond to ...
make sure that we could have a full four-tier cake with transparent layers in between each tier - working through the structure, placement, and decor with me, down to the tiniest detail. Paul really put in the time and effort to bring me into the process so I could understand the constraints and tradeoffs - and the end result was truly amazing! In addition, Paul met my entire family for a tasting, and really made us feel welcome. Finally - Paul worked directly with our venue to coordinate dropoff and setup, which meant I could be completely in the moment on our wedding day. I’m so grateful that I met Paul, and I recommend Freedom to anyone looking for an incredible baker and partner for their event!

ummer wedding. Their delivery was perfect- timely and was one less thing to worry about on the day-of. The payment process was easy, and good communication. Last thing I’ll say is that the cake was really delicious - I was surprised how many comments in general we received about the wedding cake- some of our guests went for a second slice!

I'm lactose intolerant. I really appreciated that they accommodated the bottom layer of the cake, so it was dairy free. It was so tasty that no one even noticed the difference.
From the initial meeting with Paul and working with Tania along the way, the Freedom Bakery team was communicative and easy to work with. I highly recommend working with them for any event or even if you're visiting and craving a sweet dessert in the area.

id a take home cake tasting sheet and all the flavors were delicious. My husband had his favorites (raspberry) and I had mine (caramel), but we both decided on the oreo filling which surprised us.
Once we found a photo of a cake design that we wanted, it was very easy to send them that photo and change the colors of it to our wedding colors. We got a discount on the cake for having a family member pick it up ourselves. The process was really easy and as far as wedding planning goes, it may have been the easiest part of the entire process.
We also were able to order the same cake for our 2 month anniversary (as there were no left overs) and it was just as special and delicious. Planning to order again for our 1 year anniversary!

little detail, he is very knowledgeable and made sure everything worked smoothly. We had a phone call with him as well as many many emails, and he really answered all our questions. We were picking up the cake and driving it through windy hills to get to our venue, but he made sure everything was packed very well, with ice sheets and non-slide sheets, and the cake was fine. We wanted a very specific pillar cake, and gave him a reference picture, and he delivered above our expectations. So many of our guests let us know how sublime they thought the cake looked. Very much recommend Freedom Bakery!

ately gone out of business. Our caterer recommended Freedom to us. We reached out to them, and Freedom got back to us right away. The owner talked to us on the phone with us for over an hour, putting us at ease and helping our vision come to life. They were so reliable and made our dessert dream a reality. We didn't even have the opportunity to taste any of the desserts, so we put all of our faith into them.
Our wedding cake was so beautiful and was absolutely delicious. MANY of our guests raved about how delicious the cake was. We also had small desserts passed around, which were all huge hits.

ybody at the wedding couldn't stop talking about. We picked up one of their convenient sample boxes and loved the raspberry preserve with Italian lemon mousse. We told them the date, the guest count, and sent over a few pictures of what we wanted it to look like and they took it from there. It was a smooth, simple process, and they brought to life exactly what my wife and I had envisioned for our cake. Going through Freedom Bakery for our wedding cake was a great experience and my wife and I would love to visit again sometime in the near future to grab another slice of that amazing Italian lemon!
