About this vendor
After arriving in the United States, Fred decided to set up shop in New York City. The studio is still in the same location that it was 70 + years ago, only much larger. New York was his choice because his clients from the Cuban beaches were all coming there. He followed, and they remembered. They used him for their family portraits and soon he was photographing their family events.
Today, people from around the world call to use our services, and they can always count on the highest standards of quality and uncompromising customer service.

Where do I even begin? Juan from Fred Marcus is the wedding photographer every couple dreams of having. From our first meeting to the final gallery delivery, he was a total pro — w...
arm, kind, calm, creative, and genuinely invested in making sure our big day was captured beautifully (and stress-free!).
He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera — and that’s saying a lot, because neither of us are naturals. He had the perfect balance of giving direction when needed and letting the moments unfold organically. Somehow, he managed to be everywhere without ever being intrusive, and the result? Pure magic.
The photos… WOW. Every single one is stunning. He captured the emotion, the joy, the energy, the small glances and big moments — everything we never want to forget. He told our story in a way that feels personal and timeless.
Juan truly went above and beyond, and we are beyond grateful. If you're looking for someone to capture your day with care, talent, and heart — run, don’t walk, to book Juan. He’s the best of the best.
Thank you, Juan and the entire Fred Marcus team, for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. 💛
So grateful for Fred Marcus for capturing my wedding in May 2024 so expertly - Juan and the whole team brought a warm and professional energy to the day. And they were seriously ev...
erywhere and captured everything!! Our wedding guests mentioned how great the photographers / videographers were! Everything from the engagement shoot to 2 hour video to photo album was handled perfectly ◡̈
Wow, just wow. We hired Felix from Fred Marcus for our wedding and that was one of, if not, the best decision we made for our wedding. Felix is incredibly personable, caring, under...
standing and truly amazing at his job. He made us feel comfortable from the start of the day all the way until he took our final pictures. He has a great memory and was able to call all of the people in our wedding party by first names which eliminated any need for "you in the tux". We knew the day was going to be easy when he first came into the Grooms room to see 10 gentlemen getting instructions from an uncle on how to tie a bow tie. Felix quickly sprang into action and tied ALL of the bowties in minutes, thankfully saving the start of the day and keeping things moving. If you want a photographer who is not only amazing at his job but also will truly care and do everything they possibly can to make your special day that much more special, hire Felix.
Do yourself a favor and book Felix of Fred Marcus Photography. Look no further because you found the best photographer, and you will not be disappointed. I cannot possibly give a h...
igher recommendation for a wedding photographer, or frankly for any wedding vendor.
I got married in East Hampton in May 2021 and Felix of Fred Marcus was my photographer. He was by far my favorite vendor for my wedding (and I had several vendors). Not only was his team an absolute pleasure to work with leading up the wedding, but he also listened to my ideas thoughtfully, was quick to reply to emails, and always answered “yes, of course” to my requests, ( for example, just a few weeks before my wedding I requested that they stay an hour later and they were more than happy to oblige). On the day of wedding, from the moment Felix got there in the morning to the moment he left that night he was working, running around and always taking amazing pictures. Even my hard to impress father noted that Felix was the hardest working person at that wedding.
Even beyond that, on the morning of my wedding when Felix arrived I was stressed, my hair ran late, my mother was having issues with her dress, and Felix was the one who helped calm me and kept telling me everything was going to be okay, which I really needed to hear at that moment. This was true throughout the entire time he was there; he was very calm and sure of himself for the duration of the wedding, and was able to confidently stay on track and help everyone not worry about the timing for pictures.
Felix did a great job of being creative with poses and backdrops. Even at a single location, he was able to create a lot of different poses, finding different back drops so that single venue felt like it had more possibilities than I would have anticipated.
In particular, he was GREAT about direction (e.g., “head down” “hand here” etc). He also uniquely good about remembering the names of all my bridesmaids, groomsmen, and parents, so he was able to easily and politely give direction. None of that “you on the left, move!” kind of directions, which helped significantly for making everyone feel comfortable and for helping the pictures move smoothly.
After this amazing experience with Felix the day of my wedding, I was obviously excited for the photos and I had high expectations. When I finally got the photos, they far exceeded my already high expectations! The photos all looked so amazing, better than I could have imagined! My (now) husband and our families aren’t the most photogenic people, but the photos by Felix all looked spectacular. Our first family photos worthy of framing! We also had so many varieties of poses and backgrounds to choose from. He made my wedding look even more beautiful than I remember it.!!! I cannot recommended Felix and Fred Marcus enough!! Do yourself a favor book them NOW!
Although it is important to live in the moment and cherish each and every second during your wedding, we all know that can be very difficult. It all goes by SO quickly, but thankfu...
lly we had the best photographer to capture it all, leaving us with pictures that will bring back all of the best memories. Working with Fred Marcus Photography, and specifically Felix, was an absolute pleasure. From the engagement shoot, to the entire planning process and of course the day of the wedding, they made us feel comfortable and allowed us to be our true selves. We can’t thank them enough!
Fred Marcus’ team was AMAZING to work with. They were on time, had great energy and ideas, and overall made it one of the most relaxing days. I knew I could trust them to get every...
picture I needed/ wanted on that very special day. There is no one more talented then them!!! The pictures came out breathless, each one more jaw dropping than the next!

and truly unforgettable. BUT what we didn't expect was how much of an impact our photographer, Felix, was going to have on our wedding day.
He’s very talented, experienced and has a great sense of humor. So naturally our bridal party had a lot of fun during the photo session. It didn’t feel long and exhausting like I’ve heard from other couples! Also, my husband and I weren’t naturally comfortable in front of the camera but Felix was great at putting us at ease and keeping us on schedule!
Our photographs are absolutely breathtaking. We are so grateful that Felix captured our special day in such an authentic and meaningful way. When considering your photographer options, remember that you will have these photos for the rest of your life so it's not area that you want to skimp out on!!!
I will start this by saying your pictures are all you have when all is said and done. I knew that going to the absolute best and classic photographer was important and a non negoti...
able. Fred marcus Studio was that. Felix completely took the job into his hands with so much ease and made it completely seamless. The photos came out perfect and my husband and I literally don’t have one bad photo

t only were they amazing, but they were SO fun to be with throughout the day! Their enthusiasm and excitement throughout every picture they took made the day a blast. Brian and Flex (along with the rest of their team) are so personable and I couldn't imagine using anyone else as our photographer for our special day. Another huge plus- we got some sample pictures back THE NEXT DAY! What better way to end the weekend than with unreal professional photos?! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
THE BEST! The entire team behind the Fred Marcus Studio is just incredible!! From beginning to end… our engagement party, engagement shoot and wedding, the experience with Brian, ...
Leslie, and the whole team was just perfect! The combination of their friendliness, warmth, passion and professionalism, is portrayed through their incredible work!! We are absolutely obsessed with every single picture and cannot wait to get our video!! We have had so many people ask us who our photographer was, because our pictures are just unreal! Hiring Fred Marcus Studio was one of the easiest and best decisions we made for our wedding; to say we are happy is a total understatement, we could not have asked for more! Thank you Brian, Leslie, Peggy and the entire team at Fred Marcus Studio for everything!!

d rehearsal dinner perfect. Felix pays attention to every detail. He learned the names of every member of both of our families. He made sure that not a hair was out of place, and positioned us so that we all looked our best. He also made sure to capture photos of everyone who came to my wedding (almost 220 people). To sum up how extraordinary Felix is, I will share the two compliments I received after my wedding: “1) what a spectacular night! 2)you had the best photographer I’ve ever seen.”
Not only does Felix go above and beyond during the actual event itself, he also delivers the most stunning images I’ve ever seen. To be honest, I didn’t even think I could look that beautiful.
Felix took my engagement shots as well, which were beyond amazing. I couldn’t recommend Felix and Fred Marcus more highly.
Finally, I want to thank his assistant, Ilya, for his tireless efforts in making everything run seamlessly. I also want to give a huge shoutout to Peggy Press for not only being so pleasant to work with, but for her genius organizational abilities and thoughtfulness.
Fred Marcus photography was the easiest decision we made regarding wedding vendors, Felix went above and beyond the entire day. He did as extremely organized. He made sure that he ...
captured all of the moments we requested. He made family portraits for both my husband and my huge families flow seamlessly and timely!!! He truly is an artist! We just received our sneak peak and we CANNOT wait to see the entire gallery! Not only is he extremely talented, but his energy was a great addition to the flow of the day. He was extremely personable and we connected with him on a personal level right away. Juan was just as amazing to work with as Felix. Fred Marcus is the way to go!

use of how UNBELIEVABLE the first few are. We are so thankful for how creative, directive, patient and on schedule Felix and Leslie were. They were a pleasure to spend the day/night with and are so incredibly talented. THANK YOU!!!
From the first time contacting Fred Marcus, through to the last photo on the night of our wedding, it has been an absolute pleasure. Choosing Fred Marcus for our wedding was one of...
the best decisions we made, not only because everyone we worked with was extremely polite and professional, but because from the moment you walk into the studio, you can sense you’re in amazing hands. I first contacted Brian under unexpected circumstances, when our original photographer backed out of our contract 6 months prior to the wedding due to ‘staffing issues’. In the midst of frantic phone calls, Brian totally put me at ease. I could tell he sincerely wanted to help, and we discussed options. Though the package was above our original budget, my family agreed nothing was worth the peace of mind and professionalism we felt Fred Marcus offered, and looking back, we agree it was more than worth it. With all the craziness that goes on during wedding day, having a calm yet in-control team supporting you was so so important. In our photographers Leslie and Juan, that is exactly what we had; we truly couldn’t be more grateful. Their energy and confidence was palpable, and I can’t emphasize enough how great it was to be with them all day. The quality of the photos and editing speaks for itself, but working with the FM team was the cherry on top. I would be remiss in not complimenting Peggy from the office who we worked with on a day to day basis. Of all our wedding vendors that we were coordinating with for the months leading up the wedding, Peggy was by far the best and most organized. She was so responsive to all our emails and calls, flexible with the timeline where she felt she could be, and firm on the areas where she felt she couldn’t be (and of course, she was right every time!). She made my mom and I feel so comfortable always. We can’t wait to see the new studio in Columbus Circle and pick out our album pictures!
We are obsessed with Fred Marcus--the ENTIRE team!!! From the first email we got from Peggy introducing us to the Fred Marcus family to meeting Felix at our engagement shoot who ma...
de us feel at total east and ran with all of our crazy ideas to having the honor of working with Juan and Felix during our wedding weekend. AND then if that wasn't enough...Judi and Felix have taken the lead in spending countless hours helping us with our album since it is truly hard to pick from all the amazing photos they took. We are the luckiest to have had our wedding journey with the Fred Marcus Family!!

rian made us feel so comfortable every step of the way. He truly was a pleasure, and so easy to work with. He guided us on posing and captured us in such beautiful, natural photos. We were so so excited and pleasantly surprised about how our photos turned out! He also made a point to take photos of us separately as well which I'm so happy about (which turned out awesome, new Instagram bio picture for sureee)! Our smiles and laughs were mostly due to his hilarious sense of humor. We truly can't wait to work with him and his staff at our wedding next September! I really can't recommend this photographer enough! If you're looking for someone that cares about their work, someone that will make you look incredible and feel beautiful each step of the way.. no matter what - Brian is your guy. (Also we were so happy with the turn around time on our photos!) Thank you Fred Marcus Studios for being a pleasure to work with. We can't wait for what's to come!

like weve known them for years which made the decision super easy when it came to choosing our photographer. (Some other companies we met with prior were a bit pushy & overwhelming and we definitely did not want that kind of energy on our big day). My family, husband & I are were so blown away by all of the pictures that I do not know how I will ever be able to narrow them down for our albums! It was hard enough trying to pick our thank you card picture(s)! I am obsessed with them all! Felix will also be doing my sisters wedding next year as well! We all cannot wait and are very confident her pictures will be just as incredible as mine! We truly couldn't be more pleased with everything. If you want the best of the best, then I highly recommend Felix!! Pictures end up becoming one of the most important parts of your wedding, the day itself flies by so quickly that in the end you are very grateful you have such amazing pictures to reflect back on! Every time I look at our pictures I feel like I am reliving the day all over again. We couldn't be more thankful for Felix, Juan & their teams! Thank you Fred Marcus Photography !!

We absolutely loved our photographer (Felix) - he did an incredible job with our photos... but as soon as he was done and we were handed off to the rest of the staff, we felt the s...
ervice started to slack. The photo selection and album review process was not great - we were greeted with a bit of gruffness... and then the gentleman handling the edits did not incorporate all of our edits, or would send us the wrong files to review... when we finally got our album 6 months after our wedding, we realized that he had sent an old file to be printed! so we had to send the album back and waited another month and a half for our final album. we are still waiting for the low-res, non-watermarked electronic files of our wedding photos. I've asked for this for weeks. We were married close to 8 months ago.

ment where we felt we couldn't find someone when we wanted a picture taken. There was not a single moment that was missed! Everyone from Fred Marcus was so enjoyable to work with from the planning, to our engagement pictures, and throughout our whole wedding. They were so organized and efficient, while at the same time fun and easygoing. We were so happy that Brian and his crew were there to capture the most special night of our lives! We could not have asked for a better team to work with!

My pictures are just amazing- the perfect mix of candids and beautiful editorial type shots and then of course all of the family and group portraits that I wanted as well. I couldn't have asked for more attention and professionalism on the actual day- they arrived early, remembered who everyone was, got everything done quickly and captured everything that I wanted and then some. I felt so special and had more fun taking the photos than I did at the actual party!!! To top it off they then delivered the most beautiful wedding photos and albums that I have ever seen...
I highly recommend Fred Marcus. Photographs are the only thing from your wedding that actually last so it's definitely worth hiring the best and there's no doubt that these guys are exactly that!
They literally captured every second including getting ready, portraits, ceremony, dancing and spontaneous (of the moment) shots. Simply the best!
The videographers were amazing...the staff at the studio were rude and tough to deal wtih

These guys are total pros and do excellent work. We used Mike as our photographer (we did not do videography).
