About this vendor
Forte Quartet has been performing together for over 20 years at weddings and receptions in the Kansas City metro area. We love working with couples and coordinators are proud to be one of the most trusted string groups in the greater KC area. We have one of the largest popular music lists in the business with everything from Canon in D to Sweet Child O' Mine and are constantly adding new music! See our website for our list!
When you choose a Trio or Quartet for your event, we offer an in person music consultation for our local contracted brides (when schedules allow) where we will help you pick the perfect music for your special day! We play several pieces for you live and walk you through all the options that best match your wedding aesthetic. It's like a private concert just for you and anyone you want to bring and has become a favorite event in wedding planning from our couples.
Our calendar fills up quickly so don't delay to reach out with your date! We'd love to see if we can make your musical dreams come true! We love what we do and truly think that live music is the most impactful thing you can add to your ceremony! It truly sets the atmosphere and adds an elegant touch that your guests will talk about all night!

ed them, they were very communicative and responded right away. The musicians did bring large fast food drink cups with them on stage, which our photographers will have to photoshop out, but that was our only complaint! Loved having live music during the ceremony!

nalism and quick, clear communication stood out throughout the entire process. We really enjoyed meeting with them beforehand to listen to their prepared pieces and to select the music we wanted for the ceremony. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful their performance was. After considering several string quartets, we ultimately decided on Forte because they had the best reviews and offered the best value. I highly recommend Forte Quartet to anyone looking for a talented, professional, and well-organized group for their wedding!

sponsive via email. I selected modern songs from their standard repertoire. Although, being the bride, I didn’t get to hear as much as others, everyone was very complimentary so I am assuming they sounded great! Would recommend!

om they play in. I had multiple people say how good they played and how it was a nice touch to the evening.
We were initially stressed trying to pick songs for them to play and they helped guide us through the process to where we felt confident in our choices.
I’d highly recommend them to anyone considering doing live music for their wedding!

They made our day!
Forte went above and beyond on our wedding day. Not only were they exceptional in their performance, but also, they made a point to play our special songs for us...
before the wedding when we were doing our sneak peek of the wedding ceremony space - and I was brought to tears. Further, they learned songs for us by request. Highly recommend this group of talented individuals!

ially enjoyed the consultation prior to the wedding to hear them play and help us pick out our music. We went with the duet option and they had a huge list of both classical and modern music to play. Our guests loved the addition of live music and they really helped to bring classiness to the wedding!
Forte quartet was professional, communicative, and above all very talented! My musical selection was nothing but special requests so I was thrilled to work with seasoned musicians....

Forte Quartet completely elevated our wedding ceremony to a whole new level. Kristi & Heather’s performance enhanced the ethereal ambience in Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel, where we...
were married. When the doors opened & I heard the strings, I literally burst out, “Oh my gosh, this is so beautiful.”
Due to our wedding budget, a string quartet wasn’t initially on our radar. However, Forte Quartet offers solo, duet and trio options - allowing them to fit into most wedding budgets!
Worth every penny, the instrumentalists are as professional as they are talented. Included in their price is a 30-45 minute consultation, during which Kristi & Heather are kind, accommodating & knowledgeable. Their repertoire is extensive, there are truly songs for everyone - even if you go with a duet like we did!
Forté was so great at our wedding! There's something about live music during a wedding ceremony that honestly can't be replicated. Visiting their rehearsal and picking our music wa...
s one of the best parts of planning for the wedding, and felt like one of the more personal things that my husband and I were able to do together. I cried during the rehearsal when they played the bridal processional I was considering, and it made me just as emotional on the wedding day. We booked the full quartet, and it was honestly one of the easiest wedding decisions we made. My biggest regret was that I couldn't hear more of the prelude from where I was hidden away before the ceremony.
I really wanted to have a string trio for the ceremony and Forte was perfect! The music was beautiful and they were very accommodating to what music we wanted. They were on time an...

idea where to start with picking out classical music for our Catholic ceremony - they were amazing at making suggestions and playing as many samples as needed to make sure we were satisfied! The music was beautiful during our ceremony and gave such a classic touch. Would highly recommend the ladies of Forte!

ined and hailed an hour before the ceremony, so there was worry on all of our parts that we would not be able to continue with things as planned. However, they respected our request to continue as planned outdoors while we respected to protect their instruments should the weather disagree, and it ended up working out for everyone. I really appreciated them going through with everything. They are professional, friendly and incredible musicians. I loved their sound - in fact, I'm listening to their samples on their website right now - and would absolutely work with them again and recommend them to anyone.
The Forte was wonderful! They played a great mix of classics, love songs and current music. Several guests asked us who it was and how much they enjoyed them!

The ladies of Forte are spectacular! My husband and I married in October 2016. We had the Forte trio play during our ceremony and were more than thrilled with their performance! ...
We received so many compliments from our guests on all of the beautiful arrangements played before, during, and after the ceremony. Kristi was extremely responsive and easy to work with. She answered all of my questions throughout the process and made me feel at ease. My husband and I had such a great time going to Forte's practice to select our music... we honestly wished we had gotten to spend more time with them! All of the ladies have such wonderful, genuine personalities and exceptional talent. They do not disappoint! My only regret: Not booking them to play during dinner at our reception as well! LOVE Forte!!
We had a string trio perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. All three ladies were absolutely wonderful and this was a lovely touch to our special day. I previously play...
ed violin and had always grown up with a lot of emphasis on good, classical music. Forte was able to perform beautifully both classical pieces as well as modern pieces that my husband and I love (Regina Spektor, etc :)).
The trio was very easy to get in touch with and to work with. They had worked with many of my other vendors before and the others had nothing but great things to say about their performances and professionalism as wedding performers. I cannot imagine my day without the string trio of Forte there. I would recommend them without reservation to anyone in search for a great ensemble.
Forte was so great! They were very responsive to my questions and allowed a meeting beforehand to listen to options and plan out the different songs we wanted. They were very fle...
xible with us and our venue. We received many compliments and having Forte play truly made our ceremony stand out!
We contacted Forte Quartet months in advance for our wedding. After listening to the song clips online, we couldn't wait to hear them in person. It was wonderful to be able to take...
in ideas and hear what the songs sounded like. They sounded just as amazing in rehearsal as they did on our wedding day. We highly recommend them!
Love love love! Great price, and it really added a special touch to our ceremony!!
I contacted Kristy Kay from Forte Quartet well in advance for our wedding. I listed to some of their sample music online and could not wait to have them in our ceremony. The day we...
met with them to choose our music, all of the women were very inviting and made sure we knew that we were not going to hurt their feelings if they played something and we told them we didn't like it or it was not fitting for us. They understood the importance of us finding the right pieces to suit the feel and theme of our wedding, which they did wonderfully. They were very professional, on time, and played perfectly. Kristi was always in contact and I never had to worry about them forgetting we existed- they made us seem like we were a top priority for them- and they drove a long ways to be a part of our ceremony! Their prices are very reasonable and the only suggestion I have for anyone is to RECORD YOUR CEREMONY if you have them play, so you can watch the entire event progress alongside their beautiful music and you don't miss a beat. It was beautiful and added so much class and elegance!
