I was the sister of the groom and the matron of honor for this wedding, and I got to be in charge of helping find the musical talent! Al and Jeanne really wanted an event service t...
hat would offer more than one type of music. For dancing at the reception they wanted a DJ-- but someone who would be knowledgeable about music and could keep a good flow. They also wanted someone who would play certain songs, some of which were kind of deep cuts, like for the couple's first dance. My brother is a bit eccentric, lol, and had a few specific requests. Of course, they also wanted the guests to really dance! Before that, we also had a cocktail hour planned while the bridal party took photos with family. They wanted a small live band with some range for it. Impressed on both counts. The musicians showed up on time, were prepared, and made the cocktail hour special for our guests. I obviously was busy with photos, but peeked into the cocktail area a few times. They were careful not to play too loud (also not too quiet) so that guests could socialize without having to yell, but those that wanted to enjoy the music could. Honestly, it was a great experience. Go with Melody for your event, you won't be sorry!

ork. It was a joy to collaborate with them. They listened to our ideas and made them even better than we had hoped. Andrew created beautiful arrangements for piano, cello, and vocals of songs that are special to us for our ceremony. He played the piano and Melody sang and they collaborated seamlessly with the professional cellist who is a friend of ours. Andrew also brought in a stand-up bass player and drummer and that trio played a swinging set during our cocktail hour, with Melody on the mic for a few songs! Andrew played soft solo piano during dinner and Melody was our MC for toasts. After dinner she DJed, playing from a list of songs and artists we suggested and others she chose. The dance floor was packed the entire night—everyone had a great time! To cap off the night, Andrew played piano-bar style where lingering guests requested songs and sang along. If you want music to be a special and personalized part of your wedding, hire this incredible team! If you just want the music at your wedding to be easy and great so you don’t have to think about it because they’ve handled it all and made it perfect, hire this team!
