I met with Claire last year to discuss my vision for dark, moody florals in burgundy and black. During our consultation, I felt I had to compromise, as I was told my preferred pale...tte was too dark and would require the addition of ivory and brighter reds. I paid the deposit and was told we could change details up until three weeks before the wedding.
About a month before the wedding, I reached out with a few minor adjustments since I hadn’t heard from her. Instead of collaborating, my ideas were quickly dismissed, and I was told my updated order did not meet her requirements and that she preferred to cancel. After clarifying that although our table count decreased, we were adding two large displays for the aisle, she proceeded with the final invoice.
One week before the wedding, she was instructed that all communication should go through my DOC team. Despite this, she repeatedly talked to me directly while I was mid hair & makeup and not near the ceremony site on the wedding day.
When I finally saw the florals, I was disappointed. My $250 cascading bouquet was built in a small plastic holder rather than floral stems, making it uncomfortable to hold, and pieces of the arrangement began falling out during first look photos. The altar displays and table florals included yellows and other florals that were never discussed and did not match the agreed-upon palette. These two large displays, unexpected in both color and design, are now in many of my ceremony photos and my live painting.
I tried to move forward and made the best of it, eventually donating all the florals to a memory care facility the next day. However, after the wedding, I noticed photos on her business page showing arrangements for another couple from the same time period that featured the same “random” florals, meaning that my displays were not based on my agreed upon florals. She also posted a bouquet in the exact dark palette I was told she could not create for me.
Overall, this was the only vendor from my wedding day that I cannot recommend. While some aspects were serviceable, the lack of collaboration, disregard for instructions, inconsistent design execution, and unexpected substitutions made for a disappointing experience at a time when details truly matter
