Alexis and Sarah are amazing artists and wonderful people! I had a trial with them (pictures attached) and they did the hair and make-up for my wedding. When my hair was being work...
ed on I barely felt anything because she was so careful not to pull my hair. My skin texture is fairly uneven and I do have some scars but the makeup looked so good that you couldn't see any imperfections.
They are also so kind and were lovely to chat with as we got ready for my wedding. Emotions run high during weddings and they helped keep me calm!
My hair and makeup looked great for my entire event (from the time it was complete at 1pm until 11pm) even with dancing and sweating (Houston in July...). We had 7 people get hair done and 6 people get makeup done. We had one additional artist (3 total artists) and hair and makeup were done from 10:30am to 2:30pm. They made the schedule/timeline and gave suggestions for how to optimize their work (hydrating, waxing, etc.) which was much appreciated. I highly recommend them!

Alexis and Sarah are very nice and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable, confident, and satisfied. I don't normally...
wear makeup or get my hair done so I was a challenge lol, but they did a great job. Sarah also gave me lashes at my trial because we liked them so much, she didn't want to lose them or forget which ones we used, so she gave me a pack to save and bring which I appreciated. Alexis did great on my hair and it lasted longer than i expected! Alexis is also preserving my bouquet which I didn't even plan on doing, but I'm very excited to see her work! They both were very accommodating and started services at our airbnb, and packed up and traveled to the wedding venue to continue. They also remembered my music taste and made me feel special remembering little details. Fair warning, leave PLENTY of extra time for hair and makeup and touch ups. It always runs longer than you think.
These girls are amazing. We had a total 11 people get hair and makeup done and everything was perfect! They are so sweet and truly care about how you want to look for your big day!...
Huge shout out to Sarah for being my hype girl and helping me with my earrings and perfume . I will forever have them for any special events
I was the bridesmaid in one of my best friends weddings, and helping find hair and makeup was one of my duties. When I say these girls go ABOVE AND BEYOND, I mean it! They are trul...
y amazing in communication, services, and vibes. Having them on the day of was like hanging out with friends, they make you feel so comfortable and BEAUTIFUL. We were all so happy with this choice and I never leave reviews but I really felt like this one was needed and deserved!! Thank yall so much
Most down to earth gals you will ever meet! They listen to you, they make sure you’re okay throughout the entire process. They also explain the process, if you’re new to this style...
of make-up (like me). The girls have a way with both airbrush and traditional makeup! I felt flawless both at the trial and of the day of my wedding. They put any worries I had to rest. I loved my hair and makeup!! I highly recommend and my bridal party also loved everything as well! There was a total of 12 of us and their team did a great job.
When I booked Finishing Touches of TX, I was really impressed with the communication from the owner, Alexis, and absolutely loved the affordable prices! My reason for giving only 3...
stars is that her+her team miscalculated how long it would take to get hair done, which impacted the time I had slated for pre-ceremony pictures.
When planning the wedding day with Alexis, I told her that her team was allowed to come as early as 12:30pm but I'd leave the arrival time up to her based on how long she thought it would take to do 3 bridesmaids hair + the brides hair in time for pictures at 3:30p before the ceremony. Based on this information, she told me her stylist would arrive at 1:30pm. Unfortunately, the hair stylist did not finish all of our hair by 3:30pm which resulted in missed opportunity for a handful of photography before the ceremony.
I definitely recommend this vendor! But just be sure to set yourself up for success by figuring out how to accurately plan how long it'll truly take for hair to be done in order to make your timeline. I regret not insisting that her team arrive at 12:30pm.
I am a mother of the bride and we reached out to Alexis, the owner of Finishing Touches of Texas, to do hair and airbrushed makeup for the groom’s mom, his sister, and myself. Both...
of us moms were somewhat nervous about getting airbrushed makeup, but it turned out absolutely amazing! Alexis sent one of her artists named Laura, who was so professional and very talented. I was very nervous about my hair “falling” before the wedding at 4 pm as my appointment was at 9 am (I had to get it done early so I could be with my daughter at the venue). Laura arrived at our hotel and did all of our hair and makeup and she did an absolutely fantastic job! We were all very pleased! I would 1000% recommend Alexis’s team of artists! Here is my message to her: “Hi Alexis! I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for sending Laura to do our hair and makeup! She did a fabulous job and I received tons of compliments all night as well as on fb! I was seriously worried my hair would “fall” because it’s so fine and thin but it did not!! In fact, the bridesmaids had to kind of loosen the curls just a bit with their fingers just before the ceremony at 4:00!” I wish I could add pictures so y’all could see how great they did!
