Faraday Photography

have someone tell me where to look, where to place my hands, etc. Farren has an incredible eye for light. Our pictures turned out even better than I could have imagined (and I have pretty high standards!) -- now the hardest part is deciding which of the many of great ones belong on our walls!

behind the lens. Farren is so incredible at what she does. While there are a vast array of photography styles, Farren's photos stand out. Her work is impeccable and timeless and I know I will be happy with the memories she captured of our special day, not just over the next year or two, but for years and years to come. Not to mention, she is hilarious. I am a pretty quiet and shy person and not the best at "posing" but with Farren's guidance and personality, I always felt very comfortable in front of the lens.

fun and really felt like she was just a part of our crew for the day, my husband and I felt (maybe too) comfortable around her and were able to just comfortably enjoy our day without feeling awkward around a camera. We had originally booked Farren for a May wedding and had to reschedule due to Covid to a Thursday in December during the height of a variant; Farren was extremely flexible and we are so grateful she was able to adjust and commit to our wedding. We couldn't imagine it any other way!

the night before my wedding, so the grounds were a mess until right before the wedding. Farren was creative in finding places for us to take pictures that were beautiful while not ruining all of our dresses/suits. She was also totally on board with some of our crazy requests. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. You will not be disappointed!

! She sets everyone at ease and just has fun with her job. I was hesitant to book a professional photographer because we were trying to stay in budget, but Farren is affordable and seriously worth every penny! The pictures from the engagement session and from the wedding turned out BEAUTIFUL and I will forever cherish them. Farren, thank you so much for everything!

ly amazing, we seriously could not have gotten a more talented and incredibly sweet photographer. She is such a blessing!!

hed a wedding there. We both started looking at her social media accounts and were absolutely blown away by her work. I was instantly attracted to her photos and unique perspectives. It seems like Farren and her assistant out do themselves at each wedding they photograph. Many couples already say, our wedding was the happiest day of our lives, but it really was! It sometimes feels like a huge leap of faith to ask someone else to be responsible for documenting a moment in your life that you hope will stand the test of time-- that your future great grandchildren will look at one day as a memory of two people falling in love and continuing a families legacy. Jeff and I continue to have pure JOY just pouring out of us about these stunning pictures that Farren was able to capture. Farren truly exceeded our expectations. Even from the months leading up to our wedding Farren was responsive, reliable, and extremely helpful in planning what would be the most important day of our lives. Throughout mine and my fathers first look and bridal party photos, Farren made us all feel relaxed, comfortable and excited, which was perfectly depicted in all of our photos. She is truly passionate about her photography and was able to always be at the right place at the right time for all of our special moments. Our friends and family loved her too, and now want to book her for their own wedding. 10/10 Farren, thank you."

' style/personality in her photo-shoots. When she shot our engagement photos, she captured our genuine love in front of the most beautiful sunset and even captured the playful outtakes of our dog running straight into the water before we had even taken our first photo. Farren made us feel so comfortable to just be ourselves; nothing felt too posed or unnatural, which is what we wanted. To say that she is the best wedding photographer is an understatement. She goes above and beyond for her brides and feels like such a close friend by your wedding day. Long story short, we had to alter our wedding date and plans three times (due to COVID-19 and a hurricane), but Farren was upfront with her availability and was flexible in traveling to our newest wedding location. Our wedding day simply would not have been the same without her. She showed up with the biggest hug and smile, was honest when my makeup needed touched up, and was detail orientated with the slighted things, such as a piece of hair out of place. She also emails you sneak peaks the day after your wedding so you can begin to reminisce about your perfect day. Her style is classic and natural and we absolutely cherish our photographs and our friendship with Farren! I simply cannot recommend her enough!

at means the most to you. She is always capturing priceless moments that are unforgettable. Real emotions. Real reactions. It would be hard to find someone as genuinely caring and invested in making sure that your day not only goes great–but is love captured in time. If I had 100 chances to chose a photographer, I would chose Farren 100 times.

yle from the photos posted on her website and when I met her in person I realized that she is just as wonderful as the photos she takes. She made us feel so comfortable and caught little things like hair being out of place (things that would drive me crazy looking back at pictures later). She paid so much attention to detail and I really appreciate it. She also sent me over 80 sneak peek photos less than 24 hours after my wedding which I was amazed by. I can't say enough wonderful things about Farren. So I'll just say that if you are looking for the best photographer on the coast, book her.

ravel plans and dream wedding got canceled. My husband and I lost all hope when it came to our wedding but we pulled it together and worked everything out. I was scrolling through endless reviews of other photographers and when I came across Faraday I was speechless and I knew I needed to work with Farren! I let her in on what had been going on with our wedding and she was able to work with our timing and budget! By the way, we planned my wedding in Destin, Florida in 2 weeks. Farren made it easy to work with her and plan out my dream wedding! Farren and Alex arrived at the house around 3 pm and took the detail pictures (rings, bouquet, dress, etc.) and then they gathered the groomsmen together to get their shots done, and then they came and worked with me and my bridesmaids. We started to run a little behind schedule, but that was not a problem because Farren and Alex kept us moving and we didn't feel rushed at all! My family is also a little crazy and all over the place so when it came time for family pictures I was impressed by how they kept everyone in line and on time! We made it to the ceremony in time and I got every type of pictures taken that I could think of. Farren covered everything from family portraits, to bride portraits, groom portraits, and even the silly candids. I only have my sneak peek photos right now but I cannot stop looking at them I am so in love! Like I said before I can not describe enough how amazing Farren and Alex were and I will only work with them from now on! If you need a photographer Farren is your girl!

hes and still got pictures we loved. Jessie dealt with the groomsmen and deserves an award for patience and smiles even when they were a handful! Farren was so easy to book and plan with from the very beginning. She is incredibly personable, and so many people from my family and bridal party mentioned to me about how amazing she was. And when we got our sneak peak the next day, those comments doubled! I expected maybe 5 or 6 as a sneak peak and recieved 50 of the most amazing shots. We are so in love with how they turned out and cannot wait for the rest! I will be recommending her with full gusto to every engaged couple in the area!

ality is perfect, you never feel uncomfortable or stressed around her throughout the craziness of the day. It rained the day of my wedding and she brought all kinds of gear so that I could still get some pictures outside and the umbrella she brought ended up being so pretty! Honestly, we were all sad when she had to go. It felt like she was part of the fam!

ncerns with care and compassion and produced the most BEAUTIFUL final products for us. I'm so fortunate that we get to relive our wedding day through such high-quality images (and with fond memories of working with her)!

photos are BEAUTIFUL. Our venue is even using them for their Facebook page. She is hard working and so personable. Would use her again in a heartbeat to capture our special day!

photos. Truly an amazingly talented photographer. She was wonderful to work with and made our shooting process, schedule and layout for the day so easy. Faraday photography is the way to go for your special day!

before we ever signed on with her, and was very friendly and open to hearing our hopes for the big day. She had several different packages set up and even though we had already sent out save the dates, we selected the one which included engagement photos and we are so glad we did! These photos were the perfect opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera as well as get to know Farren before the wedding day. Plus she even drove to New Orleans which allowed us to take pictures around our neighborhood and with our dogs! These photos are so loved and were displayed at our wedding reception. Leading up to the wedding day she was very responsive to emails and set up a day-of-timeline which helped us understand how the day would flow. The day of, Farren was there early and ready to shoot! She captured all the details and every bit of action, but never felt as if she was interrupting the day. My only memories of her at the wedding were the posed photos - talk about a "stealthy" photographer who blended in with the party! (Farren, we hope you ate dinner, ha!) She had a generous amount of photos sent over as a sneak peek and we received an abundance of photos back in our full wedding album within 2-3 months, which we flip through weekly just to relive the memories. We can't thank you enough Farren!

super professional and really knows how to get the job done, whether it’s engagement pictures or the wedding day. Plus, she’s easy going and hilarious, so even though you’re taking more photos than you ever have in your life, it’s a fun time! My husband legit hates taking pictures on a normal day, and even he had nothing but great things to say about Farren and the resulting photos – we LOVE all of our engagement and wedding shots. So if you want beautiful photos and a photographer who makes the whole process easy and fun, Faraday is the way to go. 10/10 would recommend!

e and her team were there while taking the candid moments. For the posed pictures, she helped me corral the family and wedding party in the midst of the chaos. Not only was her presence professional, her work and the outcome of my day was brilliantly and beautifully captured. She caught every moment I had hoped for. That is saying a lot, as I am the world's most awkward picture taker. You will not regret booking this outstanding photographer and her team. TRUST ME!

municated every step of the way. She’s organized and experienced without be intimidating. She was confident, efficient, and so so fun! She gave advice and tips throughout the night on items beyond just the taking of the photos. Oh and the photos we got from the night were AMAZING! Everyone loved Farren. I would 100% recommend Farren to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

e an awkward situation fun! Our wedding was in an old train depot so it was very dark. I was concerned about the lighting and possible grainy-ness of photos. Farren brought her own lighting, and edited the photos to perfection. The pictures made the venue look bright and beautiful. Thank you Farren!

ocess and helped us to plan out what we were envisioning with the photography component of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Farren was fantastic. She has such an eye for beautiful backdrops and natural poses. You spend a lot of time with your photographer, and we loved spending time with Farren! And we are so happy with the way all the photos turned out! She captured the best moments and our best selves. Her photographs will help us remember our special day for years to come. Thank you, Farren!!

o the wedding, helped me set up a timeline for the day-of, made us smile throughout our day, and delivered BEAUTIFUL pictures ahead of schedule! We received our sneak peaks a few days after the wedding and all the rest of our photos about two weeks after. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful our day looked because she captured it so well! Thank you, Farren!

t the perfect photos of your big day! Thanks Farren.

n of having my picture taken in general, but Farren made the whole experience so stress free! Also, the photos we received were so beautiful and were sent to us in a timely manner! She is the best!

se, and she's super-organized. We love how natural our photos look and how beautiful they turned out. She goes above and beyond to make sure to capture every important moment of your big day! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Faraday Photography!

ecome great friends through this experience. Such a blessing to have her capture our special memories!! Very, very sweet and makes you feel so gorgeous. Creative photography, makes you feel confortable in front of the camera, and will make you laugh the entire time! The best photographer ever :)

or giving me the wedding photographs I always dreamed of!!

ors from Chicago was a bit stressful, especially the photographer because your wedding photos are such a big investment. Farren made us feel completely comfortable throughout the whole process, she was amazing at answering our million questions/ emails in a timely fashion and had great suggestions. She was even amazing dealing with my husband who is a photography nut and can be a bit opinionated about it sometimes! The day of the wedding, her and her second shooter were timely, professional and truly made us feel like we were with friends! We LOVE LOVE LOVED her style of shooting, she captured such beautiful, candid and real moments of love and fun throughout our entire day. I also loved that both her and her second shooter didn't overtake the wedding/ ceremony, we didn't even notice they were there most of the time. They never got in the way of us or our guests. You honestly can't go wrong entrusting Farren to capture beautiful photos that you will be happy to look back on 50 years from now. I am so very happy to have met Farren and to have worked with her! I only wish she lived in Chicago so we could have her capture all the big moments in our life!

ss our preferences. We had multiple venue changes and she was very flexible and helped with making us a schedule. She couldn’t have been nicer. Even guests commented on how sweet she was. The photos are amazing. We were blown away at how beautiful they turned out and we have received so many compliments on them. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and we 100% recommend Farren! !

n't disappoint.

will ever use, thank you so much Faraday Photography!

I was looking for a photojournalism style, a little more edgy, heavy on candids, and relaxed/natural. This is exactly what Farren was able to capture and there is not a moment missing from the day. Farren is an uber-professional and manages to work with you on your day without being overbearing or in-your-face, like a lot of photographers. She is discreet while each shot is carefully considered and curated.

e us, but BETTER. She was SO organized and professional throughout the entire process; setting timelines and asking the right questions in order to set us up for success. PLEASE NOTE: Our wedding happened during a HURRICANE and she moved the time up by FIVE hours and saved & captured the day for us. THE PHOTOS: they are the most beautiful wedding photos I've ever seen, they were EXACTLY as I wanted them. They are incredible. She captured all of the right moments with our friends and family and made us look the best we ever have. Farren is the photographer you go with, and I am THRILLED that I found her hear on Thumbtack and was able to see her gorgeous work. We are so grateful to Farren; not only for making us look amazing, but for her patience and awesome attitude and personality throughout our Hurricane Wedding! I can't stop looking at my pictures! :)

r in law's wedding and reception. We were 100% correct. We are already over the moon with our sneak peek! I love wedding pictures but, in my opinion, sometimes there is so much time taken away taking so many posed family pics and not enough "captured moments." Also, the bride and groom miss so much of their reception. We did not want that. Let me say, she will absolutely take any and all family or special requests pictures. She wanted to know every photo that we wanted. We had the normal family photos. But we have so much more. We have photos with the most special looks of love that you could imagine. If you want that something special, hire Faraday Photography. You will not be disappointed. Lisa Kolb

. The pictures were exactly what I hoped for and the happy memories were an added bonus.

o doubt that we would be happy with the photographs, but could not have anticipated how incredible Farren would be. My husband and I are not the most photogenic and were feeling pretty nervous about our engagement photo session, but Farren is so friendly and down-to-earth that she immediately put us at ease. We chatted, she cracked jokes, and she was up for traipsing around City Park and Bayou St John to make sure that we got shots in all the locations we wanted. The result was photographs that perfectly captured the love and humor in our relationship. We looked relaxed and like ourselves, not staged or awkward. Leading up to the wedding, Farren worked with us to create a timeline and to perfect a list of photograph groupings that we wanted to make sure to get with family and our wedding party. She was always prompt to respond and understood when I was a little less than prompt. She is extremely thoughtful and was the easiest vendor to work with throughout the whole planning process. On the day of the wedding, Farren not only worked again to make sure that we were at ease, but she also was vital in helping us through the timeline of our wedding day. While my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, Farren knew when to step in and direct perfectly staged shots and when give us moments to chat and relax. She used these moments to capture beautiful, organic moments with my bridesmaids and me. During the ceremony she was unobtrusive, but captured all of the moments we could have asked for and more. The list we created with her for family and wedding party portraits allowed us to breeze through the photographs after the ceremony. The portraits were timed so perfectly that we were even able to squeeze in our first dance before it started pouring rain on our mostly outdoor reception. Not only did Farren kept us on track throughout the night, but she also perfectly captured the joy and love of our wedding. All of our friends and family have been raving about the final product. Book Faraday Photography and you will be glad you did.

so fun to work with! They capture the sweet, candid moments of life and make individuality pop! We highly recommend Farren and look forward to working with her again!

r service experience was top notch!!! She was a helping hand every step of the way - providing excellent timelines, very prompt response time, and making sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted within our budget. The day of, you have so many nerves and so many things to juggle, you want someone like Farren there to worry about the pictures for you. She guided my husband and I and our friends and family through the whole day. Everyone had kind words to say about her! We took pictures outside at City Park and inside a restaurant - both sets came out wonderful!

ng just fell together. To have someone who is very patient, sincere, and fun is very important to help ease the stress that the wedding brings. Thank you so much for being there for me!

10 days, as well, which impressed me.

wonderful job capturing all the different moments of our day, and we couldn't be more thrilled with all the pictures we now have. Extremely professional, responsive and fast (she got our pictures to us within 2 weeks!), Farren was also a pleasure to work with and she helped make our wedding less stressful and more fun. Flexible, adventurous, and with a knack for thinking on her feet and knowing how to get the best shot no matter what the situation, we particularly appreciated the fact that Farren so obviously was having fun taking pictures of our wedding (our guests still remember her and comment on how much fun she was to be around). Moreover, her ideas for great shots were spot-on. In addition to an excellent array of candid pictures, several of her suggestions for posed shots turned out being some of our favorites. Our family and friends also love the pictures she took (many of whom say they wish they had had a photographer like Farren for their wedding).
