Family DJ

For all the grooms and brides questioning whether a simple Spotify playlist will help save some money and serve the exact same purpose as a DJ, please let us change your mind and introduce you to Carl Bohman (AKA Family DJ). Like you, we initially believed we could save a few extra dollars, but the closer we got to our wedding, the more we felt like a wedding DJ could add a lot to the evening. Carl proved that we were correct to hire a wedding DJ, and even luckier that we found him. Most DJs understand music, but Carl understands weddings. Working hand-in-hand with our wedding coordinator, he was the perfect MC, kept the schedule moving at a good pace, and had fantastic music for every part of the evening that helped our guests react and feel the way we wanted. Carl was flexible, respectful, professional, warm and friendly. Combined with top-notch sound equipment, we couldn’t have been happier with his services, and would recommend every engaged couple consider Family DJ.

Carl was our wedding DJ, and he was fantastic. He kept the party hopping from cocktail hour through the last dance. We had a huge range of ages at our wedding, from kids to adults, and he got a huge range of ages onto the dance floor. Towards the end of the night, he approached my husband and I about some requests for less family -friendly songs, which we were fine with at that point since the kids had left, but I appreciated that he asked. We had such a great time we extended his services beyond the time he was supposed to leave. His prices absolutely CANNOT be beat. Also, I don't think I remember him getting on the mic other than to introduce the toasts - which I really appreciate (no extraneous commentary!). Highly recommend!
