It was a gorgeous dress to begin with, but the alterations she was able to incorporate made me feel like a million bucks. I was so grateful the shop I got my dress at listed Evermore as a resource for alterations, and that it led me to Maria. She was so lovely to work with! 

se they specialized in vintage gowns, and I did not want it to be dry cleaned. The dress was in good condition but yellowed, (see before photos) and the store manager assured us that Evermore would be able to restore it to its original color.                                                                                  Sadly, Evermore was not able to do this and damaged the vintage fabric in the process. This was partly due to the work not being started in the timeframe promised (almost two weeks later than agreed upon) which resulted in rushed service and the gown being pressed while still wet with cleaning fluid. The once ivory dress now looked bleached white with ivory splotches and was dull instead of having a satin sheen. (See photo) The manager recommended the dress be processed a second time and then asked for another week after that. Without my permission, the dress was sent out and dry cleaned! The general manager said he thought the dress had grease stains and that he did not know the history of the dress. He could have known had he asked. The dress had been fully examined before any treatment, and there were no grease stains on the dress. The dress came back still splotchy and had been pressed on the right side of the fabric causing heat damage. (See photo) The store manager shook her head and said, “The best I can do is 50% off. I requested the full amount and was given that.                                                                                 Aside from not being able to restore the dress to its original color, the gown was irreparably damaged because of the way it was pressed. I expected that a company that specializes in vintage gowns would train their staff to not press a wet garment and press on the underside of the fabric. I know there are no guarantees in life and mistakes happen. What matters to me as a customer is the response when there is a mistake. I spoke with both the store manager and general manager, and neither would acknowledge that the gown was treated poorly. The general manager said, “What do you expect me to do? Clean the dress again? I have lost so much time and money already.” I absolutely did not want the dress done as Evermore had not demonstrated its staff were capable of caring for an heirloom dress. I felt I was treated in a disrespectful way and was shown no empathy for such disappointing results.                                                                                                              When I first brought in the dress, I was asked for its value. I said, “priceless.” I was encouraged to write that on the form. Now the gown is no longer lovely or the heirloom we hoped to pass onto the next generation. We have less than three months to find a dress. What was supposed to be a joyful part of planning a wedding has been so heart breaking.

es she said "Oh, I guess you want to be comfortable.." I don't feel like I needed a high-end "bridal" treatment at all - I was just hugely disappointed with how I was treated there. I couldn't believe the person running the shop didn't interject when the seamstress was telling me these things. Went I went to pick up my dress, more rude comments. Luckily all they had to do was hem the bottom. The back wasn't perfect, as we had discussed not having a train. BUT I didn't want to spend more time there, so I took it as is. Saddest way to spend $800.

They called back an hour later and it turns out my dress had been on display in the store for who knows how long and no doubt stretched out the straps on my dress. Disappointing to pay so much and not get great service.

ittings! I purchased my dress off the rack and so Evermore first cleaned and fixed some of the minor issues before we started the alterations process. Nga really seemed to get my vision for the dress, but there were a few areas that I was told we couldn't fix with the pleating in the chest. The dress also was pretty tight at my final fitting, but I was told that it needed to be that tight to stay up all night since it was strapless. Nga did a great job, but ultimately I needed someone else to jump in and help make it perfect. I was nervous that since my last alteration was a month out that it may not fit, and so was very appreciative that Evermore got me in to try it on the week before the wedding. Unfortunately I was right and it was far too tight to be comfortable. Maria Susana stepped in to save the day! She worked throughout the week to make sure my gown was absolutely perfect, in fact she recognized the issue with the dress was my long torso and so added in an extra piece to make it perfect and designed for my body. I cannot say enough good things about Maria Susana!! Maria Susana also was able to adjust the pleating that I was originally told could not be fixed. I am so thankful that she helped make my dress perfect and I'd give her 100 stars if I could. Evermore is pretty pricey, but if you want your dress to be perfect, paying a little extra is worth it!

d me to give 3/5 stars. At my first appointment, I was asked to sign the form listing the cost of all services before it was even filled out - like signing a blank check and handing it off... I also inquired on a different occasion about steaming/pressing and was rudely told that Evermore does not offer those services because "people are trying to sue them over their dresses". Ultimately, I had Evermore send out my dress for pressing for almost $200, and it was returned to me with the bottom of my dress stuffed into the garment bag, wrinkled. My phone number was also entered incorrectly into their system and I didn't receive a call that my dress was finished after the final fitting. These experiences led me to have my dress cleaned and and preserved elsewhere.

hen they assured me they'd still be able to fully alter my dress in less than a month. They were flexible and got me on the schedule once my dress finally did arrive, and rush altered it perfectly after just one fitting. Highly recommend!
