Esca Restaurant and Wine Bar Middletown

couldn't stop talking about the cod. The service was fantastic. We had a dedicated waitress for the night, and she was extremely attentive. We had about 20 people and were set up in the front window which gave us our own area to walk around and talk to everyone.

as that I was hoping to have a private room for my rehearsal dinner. I wanted to be able to have privacy for my bridal party and my family, but we were placed in a back corner where a lot of the chairs were against a wall so it was hard to get in and out of the chairs. I know that they had to work with the space that they have, but advertising the space better would be important. Other than that, It was pleasant.

. They even had a signature cocktail and posted a sign for us. We had about 65 people and we used the balcony upstairs. Esca let us bring in our own speaker so we used a playlist for the music rather than hiring a DJ. We did an open bar, but with the per drink option (paid for what people consumed), which I think saved us $. We didn't end up renting a dance floor, but they let us dance upstairs regardless. Marisa did seem to forget that we had met before each time I talked to her, but I cannot imagine the number of people she meets every day. Elisa was wonderful the one time I met her. They are not very communicative via email, so phone or in person works best.

aff was very easy to work and communicate with. The food was AMAZING, the wine was delicious, and our waiter, Matt, was incredible. This is your rehearsal dinner spot!!!
