Had Brett come out to DJ our wedding. The only positive things I can say is he was prompt and on time and working with tables to go to buffet line. Beyond that, miscued a number of...
songs, played our first dance song three times prior to us actually dancing to it. The whole process required us to fill out an exhaustively long online form in what I believe is an incredibly antiquated DOS based form that is extremely convoluted. Worst part was, took couple hours to fill out the form, and he still didn't even come close to following it. Songs were completely out of order and he has no concept of how to DJ, pretty sure he is musically tone deaf with no ability to properly regulate BPM from one song to the next. Literally went from fast pace dance music to slow song with no transition what so ever. Tried mixing songs on a couple of occasions and that is something he has no business doing as there was no flow at all. Don't hire him as a DJ!!! Nice guy, not a good DJ. Just use your phone and spotify
Brett did a great job as our DJ! He was very energetic and got the crowd up and dancing. The music cues were perfect during the ceremony and the volume was perfect. He was late and...
the photo booth did not work for the first hour or so due to being late/unable to set everything up ahead of time, which was a little annoying. He looked very professional and helped the night move along in a timely manner as we did not have a wedding planner. We met prior to the wedding and had all the special songs picked out, which was super helpful. He had ton of great recommendations. I would definitely recommend Encore Mobile DJs.
Let me start off by saying that Michael, our day-of DJ and his assistant, Jordan, were wonderful! They carried out a perfectly executed day from start to finish... and threw a kil...
ler dance party! They even took some pictures of us on the dance floor with their cell phones and passed them along, so we could have another perspective of our day. Their energy was upbeat and positive, and they fit in perfectly with infectious and fun vibe of the day... all the guests loved them, and we were thrilled. Michael & Jordan = FIVE STARS across the board.
On the other hand, communication could be improved upon. There was a bit of uncertainty leading up to the wedding, and all the final details were not ironed out until a week and a half before the actual day. Everything worked out in the end, however, and we were extremely satisfied with our day-of experience.
I booked Encore Mobile DJ at a bridal show, because they were having a good deal that I couldn't pass up. I'm glad I did end up choosing them! I don't know how they do it, but they...
are able to match the perfect DJ to a couple. Ravi was our DJ and he was FANTASTIC. At our in person meeting with Ravi, we were able to discuss our music styles/tastes. My husband and I were nervous about the music aspect because we didn't want the "typical" wedding music played for our reception. I work at a wedding venue, and I hear the same songs over and over again, and it gets tiring. I wasn't sure how Ravi would take that information, but he was super COOL about it, and excited even, to get to play some "out of the box" music! After our meeting with Ravi, I can honestly tell you my husband and I were so excited for our reception, specifically because we knew Ravi understood what we wanted, and we knew it was going to be a good time! Fortunately, we were right! Ravi did a FANTASTIC job as our DJ and MC! He had the perfect amount of energy, and his playlist was AWESOME! He really knew how to get everyone out on the dance floor! He played a fun ice breaker game to get the dancing started, by asking the bridal party to come to the dance floor and dance with a partner, then once he told us to, we would go grab a new dance partner from the guests that were seated. The game worked! Pretty soon everyone was out on the dance floor having a great time! We were dancing all night, which is odd for my husband and I, because we never dance, but the atmosphere and music kept us on the dance floor! Ravi really knew what he was doing. Everyone had such a great time! For our last dance, I had requested Tiny Dancer, which Ravi played, but because of his genius, he knew just one more song needed to be played to end the night with a bang. He played "Shout!" and everyone loved it. It was the perfect ending to a PERFECT day. I'm so GLAD we had Ravi as our DJ! He was the BEST!!!
We used Encore Mobile DJs for our wedding in May 2016. It seemed like a good fit and reasonable price for what we needed. Day of the wedding though DJ and assistant were really gre...
at. Only complaint day of was we specifically said to DJ in the meeting and put in in the forms-no ice breakers. To our surprise there was an ice breaker called the snowball dance forced on us. We had to pretend we were into it so our guests didn’t see how annoyed we were. Other than that “surprise” it was great. Many of our guests commented on the dj and assistant doing a great job as well.
We had DJ Brett at our wedding reception. All of our guests had such a fun night! Brett got all generations on the dance floor and there wasn't a moment that no one was dancing. He...
personalized details and felt the crowd for the next music choice. Awesome DJ, such a fun party! If you want a dance party I highly recommend them!
If it was just about our DJ Scott, I'd give him 5 stars easily. He captured our tastes perfectly and really kept the party going! Fun and friendly, but not over-the-top. He even he...
lped my dad get his slideshow working and helped him tape down cords. He was incredibly professional throughout the day and was an absolutely crucial part of our wedding day.
My only issue with the company was that we weren't ever explicitly told we'd have to fill out these extensive online worksheets before we got assigned to a DJ. We only found out after we asked about getting assigned a DJ about a month before the wedding. So we didn't finish the worksheets until 3 weeks from the wedding and then we weren't assigned a DJ until about a week and a half before the wedding, which made us nervous. While we repeatedly asked to be put in touch with our DJ and not getting any responses, they were still asking for our final payments 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. It made us really unneccesarily nervous, but it still turned out great in the end because the DJ himself was really great.
Brett was our DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. He did an okay job. He has a great website that made the planning easy and I would say he was a pretty nice guy. I do have ...
a couple complaints. The week before the wedding he told us he needed a canopy for our outdoor ceremony "in case of rain". At this point there was a 0% chance of rain and it was supposed to be 80 degrees. The way I see it, if a canopy is a part of his necessary equipment, he should be able to provide his own. Anyway, we brought him a canopy. As he was setting it up he decided he didn't like the one we provided and rudely threw it to the side. So after making a huge deal about having it, he didn't even use the one we gave him because it wasn't good enough for him. My other complaint was that we specifically asked him not to play any rap at our reception and he did anyway because it was requested by a guest. Overall, our reception was very fun and he did his job of playing music.
listened to what we wanted. did just what he said he would! was a really great DJ. couldnt have asked for better.
I cannot preach enough about how great Bret and his company, Encore Mobile DJs was for our wedding. It was top notch entertainment and I couldn't ask for a better DJ. What other ...
DJ would take as much time as he did to cator our Greek wedding, which of course, included Greek music. I also worked closely with him for our Slide show, which he managed as well. He put in a lot of time and effort with the planning process. The night of the event was a blast. We had so many compliments from guests about our DJ. And the best part was--he was right out there doing the crazy Greek dances along side with us as well as lead the Conga line. He definitely kept the crowd energized and going. Also, I can not say enough about his website. It is so well organized and put together. We were able to add, edit, delete our song list at our own convenience. And songs were so incredibly easy to search for and upload onto our personal list (coming from a non-techy person too). A great bonus is the website even allowed our guests to visit the link and make song requests. I posted that on Face Book and people really enjoyed that. The website also helped with ease for the Reception. More specifically it lined up a step by step time line for the reception so we can be on the same page as our DJ. That was a blessing to have aid for that. The cost for his services are so incredibly reasonable too. I couldn't ask for a better DJ for our wedding. Big kuddos to Encore Mobile DJs!! A+++++++++
