rent artists, and honestly, no one even came close to Emrita. She had glowing reviews, and her prices were so reasonable. I just knew I had to have her as my hair and makeup artist. From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and flexible. I don't know much about hair and makeup, but I was able to tell her some idea of what I was envisioning during the trial, and she understood exactly what I was looking for and executed it perfectly. I had never felt more beautiful in my life. I also hadn't heard of airbrush makeup before, but it felt so luxurious and held in place so well. I was also impressed by how lightweight it felt; I definitely would recommend it over traditional makeup. When it came time to the wedding itself, she and her sister showed up with all of the equipment on time, even in spite of the heavy rain and some challenges getting up to my hotel. I had 4 bridesmaids and myself that needed hair and makeup, but they managed to get us all ready within 4 hours while still giving each of us the exact look we were all hoping for. I actually had a lot of breakouts on the day of from wedding stress, which I was really concerned about showing up in pictures, but Emrita covered it all up seamlessly. In the end, I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and every time I looked in the mirror, I was just so impressed with what I saw. Just like with the trial, it held up incredibly well, even with all the dancing and moving around I did during the reception. I felt so beautiful throughout the entire day. I wanted to take the time to write out this long review because it was reading others' reviews that helped me choose Emrita. If you are reading this, I cannot possibly recommend her enough. Emrita is sweet and professional, and you can tell that she is really passionate about her work. She is truly excellent at what she does, and if you decide to book with her, you can trust you will be in great hands.
