Emily Rose Rudd

Rose Photography) because it should be illegal how amazing she is. Send the message as soon as you possibly can. Like right now. Please. The long version: Emily is an INSANELY AMAZING photographer. Color, posing, vibe, attitude, patience, EVERYTHING. Photography was on my top 3 non negotiable list for me, truly the most important thing next to having our dog at our wedding. Leading up to our wedding, I would randomly see her photos and be like ‘omg those are beyond gorgeous I hope my photos look like that’ and then I’d notice it WAS HER. Validation I never knew I needed. If you’re on the fence, just do it. She’s the kindest, gentlest soul and it truly put us at such ease. And she meshed so well with our quirky sense of humor. She also had the patience of a saint with our high energy doggo and capture the actual cutest photos of her. She captured love I’ve never seen between us (it’s hard when you’re looking at your person but it’s even harder for someone to be good enough to capture it). Her candids are literally the best I’ve ever seen. Of me and my dog, me and my friends, my husband and his friends, idk she’s just INSANELY GOOD. I love candids, if you’re a candid person WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. I promise, I will bet everything on it, you will absolutely not regret spending a single penny on Emily. Honestly, she should charge more. We also had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of working with Bridgid on our wedding day. She complimented Emily so well and truly, I didn’t feel like we had 2 photographers they were so supportive and in tune with each other. Bridgid also found us funny and loved our doggo too. She even threw her the tennis ball. These ladies work so well together that I truly could not tell you who took which photo. SEAMLESS. I truly missed their presence, outside of photography, when they left for the day. These angels probably still don’t know the impact they had on us but one day I hope they see this review and know how important they were (and are) to our day.

of schedule. Absolute perfection, we will use her again if we ever need a photographer, and we would highly, highly recommend!!!

eautiful moments. She adaptable, reliant and hilarious. She’s comfortable in any environment and I love the energy that she brings. She will be my photographer for every moment that I want to capture.

sm stood out, and both the sneak peek and the completed photo album were delivered incredibly quickly. We were truly impressed by the quality of the photos—she exceeded our expectations, providing an album that completely blew us away. I still can’t choose a favorite photo! We’re so glad we chose Emily and would say yes to her again in a heartbeat.

nd for weather purposes (gotta love spring in the Midwest). Emily shot some gorgeous moments with our pups in between showers! We had 2 photographers for the day of, Emily and Brigid. I am so glad to have both to capture both me and my husband getting ready. Brigid is also a professional dress/veil tosser lol! Got so many compliments on our photos cannot recommend enough!

ar (fall) and had beautiful examples so we had an idea of what to expect before showing up. With it being the first time we were in front of a camera, Emily made it so much fun and stress free! Everything felt so natural with her guidance throughout the shoot! We had two shooters for the wedding day, Bridgid and Emily. On what could be an overwhelming day, they kept the photos fun and light. We had suggested a spot we love on the lakefront where Emily hadn't shot before. She took the time to make a trip the week prior to figure out all the best angles and make sure it would be perfect for our day. It ended up being everything we imagined! She also gets all the extra points for the amount of people walking on the path behind us that they took shots around and edited out for our final photos. They professionally wrangled our wedding party and family to get all our requested shots in an efficient manner. And made sure to capture our must-have shots. Cannot say enough good things about Emily and Bridgid as people, and their photo quality is unmatched! Best decision we made in our wedding planning process!!

interviewed 11 photographers before settling on Emily. Before the wedding, Emily drove all the way to our venue to scope out the best locations for photos, texting me in real time to confirm that she was on the right track. I came to our pre-wedding meeting with a lot of specific information about what I wanted out of my wedding photos (lots of candid shots, certain angles I preferred, a "romantic" vibe overall). She was enthusiastic about my ideas and never made me feel like I was asking too much. When our schedule got a little thrown off, Emily rolled with the punches and made sure we still got every single shot that was important to us. She somehow simulatenously kept us moving along AND never rushed us. She and her second shooter hyped us up and made us feel so special. She had the amazing idea to pull us for a few minutes after dinner to take golden hour photos. They ended up being some of our absolute favorites. Before leaving, she double checked there weren't any additional photos we wanted. Honestly, we didn't because she'd done such a stellar job of making sure we got everything we wanted. And, of course, the photos turned out amazing beyond our wildest dreams. She captured all the best moments, from the tears to the laughter to the hugs to the kisses. Not a single thing was missed. The photos themselves are beautifully composed. I will recommend Emily to literally anyone who will listen. I just hope I can book her for all our non-wedding related photo needs in the future! Thank you, Emily! - Nika & Josh

ferent events, venues, attire, and colors. Ahead of the wedding, Emily was highly responsive and provided guidance on our photo locations. During the weekend, Emily was such a JOY to be around, keeping up with the energy of our wedding party and families. She was highly flexible during the weekend while keeping to our schedule. She came early to capture all the details and rolled with the punches when we changed the location of our photos last minute. The photo turnaround for our sneak peaks was unbelievable and all the photos are incredible – truly captured the happiness and joy we felt during the weekend! Some finer points that are worth celebrating: - We were very picky on selecting a photographer who could photograph and edit mixed race couples and families well: Emily provided many examples ahead of booking and delivered on our photos as well!! - This was Emily’s first full-scale Indian wedding, and you would never be able to tell!! She captured all the right moments in the most beautiful way. In a traditional South Indian ceremony, there are many action shots and Emily’s ability to capture everything on the mandap blew me away. - Unfortunately, Tyler was busy for our wedding weekend, but Emily selected the two best second shooters we could ask for – Corey Bienert for Saturday and Aaron Bean for Sunday. All three of them matched the fun yet calming personality and vibes of our family, friends, and overall day. All in all, if we did it all over again, we would book Emily every time!

ing photos fun and enjoyable. She was quick to respond and very professional throughout the process. Not having to stress about her reliability or performance on the day of was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders because that was not the case for other vendors. I can't recommend Hello Rose Photography enough!

such a blast! Additionally, Emily and Tyler captured so many great candid photos of our friends and family during the reception. Hello Rose Photography was so easy to work with, and the photos they captured were unbelievable. We will be cherishing these photos forever :)

with our timeline. On the day of our wedding they both made us so comfortable and even were able to accommodate our very large family for formal photos. Our photos turned out amazing and we are so truly thankful we found Hello Rose photography

us, and we were not disappointed! First off, they are such wonderful and nice people and so easy to work with. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, and very flexible when it came to planning the timeline of our day. I was drawn to how candid and natural their photos were, and how emotions were captured so well! We received around 800 photos and each one was better than the next. I have had many people reach out asking who did our photography because they did so well!! We got our photos so quickly, and Emily even sent a few of my dad and I when I requested them early for his bday gift, which was so so nice! We loved having them shoot our day and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you Emily and Tyler!

ice to get to know them and become comfortable with their shooting style before our wedding day. We liked the idea of having a couple shoot our photos and was something that was important to us as we felt they would bring good vibes and a sense of love and fun; which is exactly what they brought to our big day. They made everything feel natural. They were always high energy and worked so well off of each other, ensuring that they captured all of the important moments of the day. They captured so many emotions and special moments that I didn’t even know occurred that day. We were shocked and very pleased at how quickly they got the final photos back to us! Every photo Emily and Tyler provided us were stunning and beyond exceeded our expectations. Emily’s editing skills are top notch. We had such a pleasant experience with Hello Rose and would definitely recommend them to any newlyweds looking for a laid back, fun couple that will deliver wonderful wedding photos.

ding that told the story of our day in a beautiful way. We heard things from friends like "not a bad photo in this bunch" and "these photos are magical" and "you can feel the love coming out of these photos." I would guarantee with this team you will get so many beautiful photos that you won't be able to choose what to print and hang on your wall :) Our engagement session was beautiful as well! Aside from their stunning work, these things stood out as making our experience with Hello Rose perfect: 1) Emily is prepared. She thought of every detail up front so that on the day of I did not have to worry about a thing, and everything/everyone I wanted photographs of was captured. 2) Emily & Tyler are very relatable. Having someone follow you around with a camera all day could be super weird, but these two are so warm and easygoing; we had a great time. 3) Emily & Tyler are a great team! There is something to be said for a husband/wife team. They were so in sync, and having both of them enhanced our coverage and made things move quickly.

ng our engagement session and she instantly felt like a friend and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Living out of state and with limited time to travel, she was very accommodating and made time for us on a weekend. Our session was in the middle of the day (not ideal lighting) and our pictures turned out to be amazing! Leading up to our wedding day we communicated mostly by email and Emily was always quick to respond and answer all of the questions that we had. Come wedding day, both Emily and Tyler were so great to work with. So many family and friends commented on how nice, organized and professional they were throughout the day. The rain threw some of our plans off for pictures and they were both so calm and quick to make changes when we needed to. They were helpful and patient with directing and posing our large family shots and we never felt pushed to pose any certain way that wasn't "us". We are absolutely in love with how our pictures turned out and feel that they captured our happiness and day perfectly! They delivered on the style and shots we were hoping for and captured so many emotions and little moments throughout the day which were super fun to look back on. We were impressed with how quickly we got our pictures back too! We couldn't be happier with our experience working with Emily and Tyler and couldn't recommend them enough! You won't regret it!

we LOVE them. Emily and Tyler made us feel at ease the entire time and kept our bridal party entertained throughout the entire day. We will forever look back at our photos and be reminded how great our day was. We really can't thank them enough!!

ways available for questions /advice. Emily and Tyler made us and our wedding party feel extremely comfortable throughout the day and it felt like we were hanging out with old college friends. The quality of work exceeded our expectations and Emily captured so many wonderful moments of our family and friends throughout the day. We wanted some iconic Chicago photos to go with our iconic venue and Emily more than delivered. Thank you so much!

es about your character and ensures the moments that are important to you and moments that express you as a couple are captured - and are captured beautifully. I would get married again just to use her as a photographer!

ience for my husband and I, but she made it very comfortable. The images we received were stunning. They really showed what happened at the wedding and did not feel posed at all. 100% recommend!

just what we were looking for on our day. During the engagement session, Emily knew how nervous I was and she knew just how to loosen us up and get us to capture the perfect moments. On our wedding day, we had a very lengthy shot list and Tyler and Emily worked together to ensure that every photo was crossed off that list. It was winter, so finding the right locations was harder than normal. They did a lot of pre research themselves and thought of areas that we did not think of and became better than what we had originally imagined. Overall, their sweet, calm and professional manner helped us pull off the best wedding photos a couple could dream of and it was a perfect day.

I scheduled an engagement photo shoot about 6 times before it actually happened (because of weather) and Emily was so patient and accommodating! Because of reasons having nothing to do with Emily and Tyler, we were running pretty far behind schedule leading up to the ceremony. They both calmly made sure we got all the photos we previously discussed and still had fun in the process! (My) Tyler and I truly enjoyed working with them the day of. My big concern with the photos was that they were going to look forced, posed and unnatural. I feel that Emily really listened to that and made sure that we felt comfortable while taking the pictures to create a really nice and natural result. Before, during and even after our wedding she was so helpful and available for any questions I had. It didn’t hurt that she and Tyler got married at the same venue and had great personal experience to provide!

he wedding, take a few engagement photos, and get to know us. Her crew was extremely professional before and during the wedding, and Emily was also easy to reach and eager to listen when we offered ideas. Highly recommended!

her work on her sites, her pictures are very natural, with very little to no posing. We worked with Emily for both our engagement and wedding. Working with her was a breeze. She made us feel at ease and comfortable and was very professional. Even during the planning process, she had me thinking of things that I would have never thought about without her. We were so happy with the final product of our wedding photos, and could not get enough compliments for our family and friends. THANK YOU EMILY!

around in the midst of the craziness of the day (my husband later commented on how they felt like a seamless addition to the wedding party!) But they were also punctual, responsive, and thorough. I was overwhelmed by so much of the wedding planning, but Emily's thoughtfulness and calm confidence put me at ease. They're SO talented- it was easy to trust them. And they’re so flexible and gracious- they both adapted quickly to navigate difficult management at the venue, and pretty terrible lighting the whole day! Emily was attentive in wanting to capture any moments and vibe we were hoping for, but also had creative ideas for photos that turned out to be our favorites! She even captured sweet, small moments that I had missed throughout the day, but that were so fun to see later. AND she even had our photos edited and back to us within weeks! Seriously- I couldn’t recommend them more highly!!

os are breath taking. I had an idea of what to expect and they more than exceeded my expectations. Every penny we spent on our photos was worth it and more. We had more than average requests for photos and they delivered. I can't say enough. The pictures were my one thing I was willing to spend on for my wedding. The day goes by so fast I feel I missed so much and barely remember the details so the pictures are invaluable to me as Emily and her team got it all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for capturing our wedding and eternalizing the best day of our new lives together!

n of our guests, bridal party, parents & us! I've received so many compliments on them. Emily even noticed an old professional photo of my sisters & I in my parents' house & had us recreate it. My parents were so happy when I showed them the recreated photo! She won't miss a single detail of your day! To top it off, Emily is just an all around joy to work with! When I spoke with her during the initial booking process, she told me she likes to become friends with her clients & I can attest that is the truth! She is so kind, patient & respectful throughout the entire process! Her husband, Tyler, was our 2nd shooter & he was just as wonderful as she was! It doesn't hurt that they are absolutely adorable & marriage goals! I cannot recommend Hello Rose Photography enough! I will cherish my wedding photos forever! Thank you for everything, Emily!

she needed to be on time, and remembered little details from the shot list that we completely forgot about. They even helped get our DJ squared away when he was working from an outdated run of show. Based on their portfolio, I knew I would love the final photos, but receiving them was even better than we could have imagined - and Emily turned them around faster than I expected. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hello Rose to any bride (she travels!) and definitely recommend adding a second shooter, some of the different angles captured ended up being my favorite photos. So worth it.

ginning. Our engagement pictures captured perfectly who we are. She made it so comfortable for us to be ourselves and it shows in the photos. She would take so many pictures without you even knowing so everything felt natural. Our wedding day with her was a dream. All of our photos are incredible and we couldn’t be happier with them. She made sure all of our must have shots were captured and managed to wrangle our huge bridal party. She is worth every penny to have memories to last a lifetime!

mera, and we were totally excited about the result of our engagement photos. The days leading up to the wedding, Emily was incredibly responsive and made sure we had covered any and all details for the big day. One thing I loved about working with Emily is she is totally flexible in making sure you get the shots you want but staying true to her vision. Emily had her husband as her second shooter, which I absolutely love. What better way to capture our love on our wedding day than two love birds themselves! Emily and Tyler kept us on track and made sure we got all the photos I had requested. My friends and family were just raving about them days later, how kind and sweet they were and how they seemed to be everywhere at the wedding getting all the shots. Getting our wedding photos back, I was totally blown away. Not only are they gorgeous photos, but you can really see our love and happiness in each photo. Photography was the most important piece of wedding planning, as you have your wedding photos forever. Totally over the moon about our photos that we can treasure forever. Thank you Emily for capturing our big day!!

t to my wedding day. When things got crazy they were calm and were still able to capture great photos through it all. She took a good mix of traditional and candid pictures. Highly recommend to anyone getting married in the Chicago/Indiana area!

to capture it on film...they are the most spectacular moments!! Emily came to downtown Chicago for the engagement shoot. She walked for many blocks with my daughter and her fiancee to find just the right location. The photos turned out so incredible! We cannot wait to see the wedding photos when they are ready! (it's only been 3 days since the wedding, after all!) Emily arrived wedding morning promptly and immediately set to work taking pictures. She is thoughtful in her presence, not once being overbearing or wanting to draw attention to herself. She is cordial, professional and has a keen eye for detail. She is easy to work with and strives to not only get the shot but capture the 'feel' of the moment. I know in the years to come, as we relive the wedding day through pictures, that we will be so grateful that Hello Rose Photography was our photographer! Thank you, Emily and Tyler (her awesome husband who is also a photographer)!! We couldn't be more pleased! Fondly submitted by a grateful MOB!

ur we were with her, which is very impressive. Her photos are gorgeous and romantic--she is a wizard with beautiful lighting. If we were getting married in-state, she would for sure have been our wedding photographer!

and made us feel so comfortable and at ease that we were able to capture true and genuine moments. She's not your loud and bossy photographer- she quietly steers you in the right direction with her great eye for detail. She captured beautiful details of the big day and great couple and wedding party portraits. But best of all, she captured really really wonderful candid photos of expressions and emotion throughout the day. I could make a flip book of my Dad's first look and of the speeches (both of the best man, maid-of-honor, and laughing guests at the tables). She even stayed an extra hour at the reception to fill guest requests for group portraits on the stairs. We couldn't be happier with our choice of Hello Rose to capture our special day forever.

ve received are perfection! They captured our personalities and the life and spirit of the wedding. They were so intentional in all of their work and communication from start to finish. We are blessed to have them celebrate and share in our special day together!

ed a super sweet and relaxed demeanor. Most importantly, our photographs were nothing short of stunning. People kept calling it the celebrity wedding. That is speaks to the way everything was captured. #hugefans

nt they are taken, something truly special. I was also impressed by Emily's flexibility; she traveled from her home in Chicago to West Michigan for our wedding and was always around and ready to capture little moments. Lastly, Emily is very timely and curteous in her communications. The wedding planning season is busy and blurry and Emily stays on top of communications throughout. It was a pleasure working with Emily and we look forward to taking photos of our family in the future.

and so both my husband and I and our families felt at ease. She is wonderful and I can't recommend her more highly!

r photography style - kind of whimsical and romantic. She captured our day so wonderfully and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone searching for a photographer for their wedding day. So many people have told me how breathtaking our photos are and it's all thanks to her! She was also very speedy with getting the photos back to us which was a plus!

provide us with as many photos as possible. I love that her photos tell a story of our day and she got them back to us extremely quickly! We've received so many compliments by family and friends about how amazing the quality of the photos are. We could not have been more pleased!

tails and capturing little moments. We are grateful to have had our wedding day captured so beautifully and will look back on our photos fondly for years to come.

was so flexible and open to our every need during the whole process . We felt we could be silly and romantic in front of her, which is so important when you are getting shots of such an intimate and significant day! She has great attention to detail and is very creative, which makes her photography so unique. She captured the engagement and wedding day so beautifully and we could not be more thankful for that. Definitely go with Emily! You will not be disappointed. I promise!!!

as approachable when I had questions. Emily got our images back to us so fast and I already have a few printed and on the walls. We loved her style and are so thankful to have worked with someone so talented. Highly recommend!

de sure she knew what we wanted from her prior to the day so the timeline could go smoothly. Wedding day her and her husband (second shooter) were fun to work with and took a good amount of control so we didn't have to stress about anything. We have already gotten our pictures and love them all! She has a unique style that focuses more on raw moments, which attracted us to her work. She puts so much love into her work and it truly shows! Highly recommend!

y, highly recommend Hello Rose Photography for beautiful, priceless images that perfectly capture the day!

c.- but Emily was so easy to work with and good about giving prompts, that we immediately felt relaxed with her. Before we even got our photos back, our parents and our guests were already raving about her and her assistant, Josh, on how professional and friendly they were on the wedding day. Emily got our photos back to us very quickly after the wedding, and they turned out amazing! We received a perfect blend of traditional posed shots, as well as the more natural-feeling shots that look great compiled in a book and will help us to re-live all the little moments of the day. I think my dad's friend perfectly summarized her work after seeing our gallery on her blog- "These are the kind of photos that everybody wishes they had of their wedding day." We would have to agree! Thanks again, Emily!
