Emily Katherine Events

st few weeks before the wedding so we could enjoy everything right up to the wedding. Thank you Eva and Emily Katherine events !!

a with EKE was simply incredible. Before the big day, she helped with my to do lists, she brought up important questions or things to consider, and was always available via email. On the day of, Eva executed my vision perfectly and handled everyone's questions (guests and other vendors!) so I could focus on being present. I would recommend Eva and Emily Katherine Events to anyone and everyone! They are SO worth the money in helping the day be as smooth and perfect as possible.

ator is so helpful to pull everything together and not have to worry about last minute details before your wedding. I would recommend her over and over! Thank you Emily!

planning process. My wedding day was mostly outside with 150 guests but everything went so smooth because of Eva and I had such a stress free day. Everything felt organized and on tract. I had a lot of decor but the set up looked so beautiful. I was a super nervous bride but the team at Emily Katherine Events did not let anything fall through the cracks. They made my timeline, communicated with my vendors, worked with the venue, set up a walk-through one month out, and made sure I didn't miss anything! Working with this team was one of best experiences and put me at so much ease. Definitely recommend to anyone planning an event, do not hesitate to book !!

edding. I know it sounds hyperbolic, but do whatever you can to work with Emily. She's already booked on the date you want? Pick another date. Seriously, she is that worth it. We started working with Emily in the early Summer of 2021 for our Spring 2023 wedding and bought her full service planning package and it was easily the best money we spent on our wedding. Over the course of nearly two years she was extremely connected, communicative, and on top of every single detail. Her connections in the industry really showed through with every other vendor we contracted with as they were all genuinely excited to be working one of her events. I cannot overstate how excellent it was to work with Emily. The amount of time, money, and stress she saved us by hearing our vision, connecting us with and handling the best possible vendors we could imagine, and realizing every final detail of the plan is something I simply can't put a price on. Her team is phenomenal, too. All of the outstanding work from Eva and Emma on our wedding day (and before) was the linchpin in making sure our wedding went off without a hitch. If anything went wrong I had no idea and their hard work kept the day extremely organized in such a way that we got to focus on us and go into the day knowing that everything was going to go great. It's funny looking back on everything now because people always told us that planning a wedding is hard. To be fair to them I'm sure they're right, but I wouldn't know because working with Emily not only made the whole experience easy, but an absolute joy.

moothly and she had every single detail under control. It definitely wouldnt have been the same without her - we didnt worry about anything & got to be fully present during our wedding day. We also had so many wedding party & guests comment on how great everything went and how wonderful Eva was. 100% recommend EK Events!!

d helped make the perfect wedding. She is extremely organized, thoughtful, and makes helpful suggestions but also leaves room for the couple’s ideas and values. She also put up with our extremely limited schedules and intermittent responses (2 resident physicians). I could not recommend EKE enough/ if you are planning a wedding, you should absolutely hire her.

we initially met with them, we had already hired most of our vendors, but were a little lost with the whole wedding planning process; Emily and Eva jumped right on it and helped us set timelines and deadlines and figure out some specific details, coordinated with our vendors, organized lots of information, set up walkthroughs and rehearsals, and answered our multitudes of questions. All the while, they were professional, pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, helpful, and very reassuring when we needed it. When it came to the big day, they kept us right on track and calmed our nerves, helped out with décor, and basically ensured the day went better than we ever thought it could. Emily and Eva were excellent, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or any event, and we can't thank them enough for everything they did for us.

ess as stress free as possible. Emily kept track of dates, schedules, people, invoices, meetings, and budget. She was really good about keeping us informed and involved without being overbearing. She also contacted all of our vendors for us and nudged us in the right direction when it came to decorations. Emily was very quick to respond to any communication even when we knew she was super busy in the height of the wedding season. All in all Emily kept us on track and pointing towards our wedding date as stress free as she could possibly make it. 100/10 would recommend.

azing vendor contacts that really amplified the aesthetic of our wedding. She's also very conscious of details, especially sentimental ones. She made sure everything was set up perfectly and everything ran without a hitch. Emily and team are worth the investment!

incredibly grateful to have had the EKE team on our side. We highly highly recommend them!

work with but extremely organized, flexible, and proactive. They always had time to answer our questions, help us troubleshoot quirky requests, and answer any and all of our wedding related questions, even the ones that did not pertain to them. In fact, they did such a great job a guest told me that the wedding was executed perfectly, and their level of attention to detail and precision even impressed a Marine Corps Lt. Col. father of the bride. If you want a successful, well planned event executed with a calming presence, you need Emily Katherine Events.

for over 18 months and planned the entire wedding and rehearsal dinner from top to bottom. I am the type of person who had a distinctive and specific vision but hates logistics and can get easily frazzled so it was so nice to have someone so responsible, organized, and professional handling all of the planning. We used all of Emily's recommended vendors and they were all amazing! Everyone who attended our wedding raved about everything from the food to the décor to our live band. My somewhat unique vision and aesthetic for my wedding was expertly carried out by Emily and co. Absolutely none of it could have happened if it weren't for Emily, and even during the inevitable wedding hiccups and curveballs, Emily stayed calm and collected and kept everyone's blood pressure at bay. I can't even count the number of small details that I wouldn't have ever thought of that Emily handled. On our wedding day, Emily and her team coordinated the entire event with such poise and calmness. Even when we had to change around our plans because of the rain, Emily had towels and clear umbrellas ready to go for our photos and for our guests.

enjoy every second of our celebrations. They think of everything and they had a go bag with everything you’ll forget to think of that helps in emergencies (safety pins, sewing kit, tape - you name it!). Don’t think twice - hire EK Events and rest easy!

eally details oriented human, I was worried about my ability to hand off responsibility to someone else and I did not have to give it a second thought with Emily. Other vendors came back and commented how organized and professional she is. Her recommendations for other vendors and for timeline adjustments were excellent and the day went by seamlessly with Emily directing everyone. Emily is incredible and you will love working with her.

r, after working with Emily and her team, the answer is 100% yes. Book a wedding planner, and specifically, book Emily. She is worth it! Emily tagged in to help coordinate all our vendors a month out from our wedding date. This is when I started to get stressed, and Emily made the process so easy. She made me feel at ease, stepped in to take over what I needed her to, and took such great care of us. The day of the wedding, she was not only hopping around at the venue getting everything set up. She checked in when we were getting ready, stopped to make us plates of food, ensured we always had a drink in our hand (and drank enough water). She even packed everything up for us at the end of the night, including slices of wedding cake to eat as a midnight snack. I can't express enough how incredible she was and how spoiled we felt having her. I also wanted to note how much I loved her creativity and focus on sustainability. Emily has such a refreshing ability to make you plan everything you've dreamed of, but in a way that is also easy on the environment. Emily, you are the best!

he wedding, much less all the moving pieces without Emily (and Eva). Emily took so much pressure and stress off of us, all the while taking care of additional details such as environnemental considerations. Emily also used very inclusive language throughout the planning process, which while we are a straight couple, was important to know that ALL our guests would be affirmed throughout the evening. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a full planner or a month of coordinator. Truly fantastic!

weekend, she was invaluable. We are so glad we hired her -- would absolutely recommend!

the wedding helped us get EVERYTHING organized and ready for the big day. Emily was calm, organized and just simply a joy to work with. If you are like me, at the beginning of wedding planning you probably think “I can do this on my own”, I’m telling you now, you won’t want to. Emily helped clear so much stress off of our plate so we could truly enjoy every moment of our wedding. She also is truly an expert and very well connected in the community and had so many wonderful recommendations. Highly recommend hiring Emily for your wedding!

ur behalf. She made everything easy and fun!

dding, coordinating with vendors, and setting up a day of plan as smooth, painless, easy, and fun as possible. I highly recommend hiring her as your wedding planner!

wife Jenny and I needed navigating planning our wedding during COVID. We both appreciate her attention to detail and her efforts towards incorporating positive environmental and social change, such as donating our leftover flowers to a local homeless shelter and using bio-friendly transportation for our guests. During the day of our wedding, we were so impressed with her organizational skills and her ability to handle potentially stressful situations with grace and focus. We truly did not worry about a thing on the day of our wedding and for that we are grateful to Emily. We would highly recommend Emily to anyone that is looking for a wedding planner. Emily will help you realize and execute your vision for your wedding and you will be relieved that you have her the day of your event. We won't need it, but we would gladly work with her again in the future.

ng. She did a great job coordinating with vendors and navigating our family dynamics (no major drama!), all with patience, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor. The extended planning period and necessary virtual contacts made some logistics more challenging, but overall the wedding day went smoothly and we were so happy with how everything turned out. We would highly recommend her to anyone in the Durham, NC area!

We had a small wedding (35 people), and she was very laidback through the planning process (matching our desired energy and calming our nerves), and she never pressured us to go bigger or include any of the traditions that we decided to skip. However, she was extremely helpful in managing logistics, filling in gaps about what would make our wedding easier, helping with the day-of timeline, and suggesting small details that really made it special. With her help, the wedding turned out even better than we had hoped!

ade sure that everything went smoothly, that everything was organized and on time, that we had answers to our questions, that there was a contingency plan, and that we were informed and “in the loop”. Emily's advice was always spot-on and she completely took over everything, making sure that all details were taken care of. I was able to relax and enjoy the event, knowing that Emily (and Gina, her coworker) were there, directing things. My daughter's wedding and reception was beautiful and magical, far better than any of us could have hoped for. Hiring Emily was the best decision we made. She is worth every penny and then some.

post-apocalyptic Coronavirus world. That meant that 30 days before we said I Do, we had to completely re-plan our wedding. Emily really stepped up for us. She contacted vendors, figured out with our photographer how to livestream the ceremony, helped redo menus, scheduled vendors so we didn't exceeded our covid headcount. You name it, she was on it. Our wedding day was flawless. It could not have gone better. And that's saying something considering she's dealing with brides that are having their dream weddings scrapped at the last minute. If you're going to cut corners to stay on budget for your wedding, great...just don't do it here. Thanks again, Emily! You're a life (and wedding) saver!

nning process as I worried about all the things going just the way I wanted them too. A few weeks before our wedding, Emily took charge of communicating with our vendors to make sure all details and logistics were handled -I was incredibly helpful! We are so grateful for Emily and teams support in pulling off "our day"!

Our day was perfect - and it’s all because we were on Team Emily! Couldn't recommend her more highly!

rganizational skills, her kind demeanor, her ability to roll with literally whatever comes her way while sporting a smile, her gentle yet effective way of keeping everyone on track - is suited for this job. As a bride who had no idea what I wanted my wedding to look like (while attempting to plan it in just four months!), it is not hyperbole to say the big day would not have happened without Emily. She had a magical way of guiding without imposing, which is not an easy balance! Emily was super kind and sensitive to me and my family, was the impeccable professional in communicating with other vendors (who all adored her, by the way!), punctual in following-through with everything, incredibly responsive and available, thoughtful with big and small details, and (especially considering our timeline) a literal miracle-worker. (Like helping get dirt stains out of my dress train after rainy pictures at the ceremony!) I feel confident in saying that working with Emily will be the best decision you make in your wedding planning adventure... it certainly was mine!

helped us both with our Friday Welcome party (with a guest like of 100+ people) and with the wedding on Saturday (with a guest list of 200+ people). It was incredible to have them coordinating both and they were a massive help. I didn't even have to think twice about all the nitty gritty details like what time our caterers were going to show up and rentals etc. I really appreciate Gina and Emily''s working style- very calm and relaxed but also efficient and capable. Resulted in a day that was totally relaxed and everything ran so smoothly. They were very available over email or to meet in person when requested. With partial planning it's maybe a fine line to walk where you are overstepping "partial" into "full" but I was more conscious about it then them as they never gave me anything but their full attention.

ns we had along the way. She went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure our families were able to be in the moment, as she did so much work even behind the scenes. I highly recommend using her services for your future events!

details! We would highly recommend working with her.

to work with. She also is highly respected by venues and other vendors for her timelines and fantastic communication. Our big day was absolutely beautiful and perfect because of Emily and I would recommend her over and over again. You will not regret picking EKE for your wedding planning and coordination needs!

es about what she does, and the couples she works with. We received so many compliments on how smoothly everything ran on our wedding day, and I owe that to Emily. She asked all of the right questions at the right times, she responded to each and every one of my random questions and ideas, and had valuable and honest feedback. She was flexible with our requests, yet stood by what she thought would work best for us. I would recommend Emily to anyone and everyone. Having her with us on our wedding day was not only a joy, but a necessity to ensure that things ran perfectly without the need for us to do a single thing. Personally, I hope to know Emily for a long time to come, as she is as warm and kind as she is professional.

l, yet calm and flexible. She kept on us task leading up to the event, and took so much stress off of us at the wedding itself. I was able to relax and enjoy, while she handled all the details of set up and take down. Thank you, Emily!

ay. She completely removed the stress from the weeks leading up to our wedding and made our big day feel totally seamless. I can never thank you enough for coordinating our day perfectly! xoxo

e she was in the loop and everything was going smoothly. On the actual wedding day, Wmily worked behind the scenes and I didn’t have to worry about any of the details of the day. Highly recommend Emily’s services!

gh, and very, very calm. I highly recommend Emily Katherine Events! We could not have been happier with her and her work on the big day.

what we needed for the day, and is very easygoing while also detail-oriented. She was also very nonjudgmental about some of our off-beat choices and I never felt like she was pushing us to spend time or money on aspects that weren't important to us. We were so appreciative of her calm expertise and support throughout the planning process and especially on the day of the wedding. We both fully enjoyed the day and knew any hiccups or confusions were being expertly handled. My husband's mom was particularly impressed by her demeanor and kindness, as she said she had encountered some pushy wedding planners at other weddings. We are so grateful for Emily, her team, and the work they did to make our wedding day a breeze for us.

ly provided guidance, support, and excellent recommendations. She worked with me for a year, keeping regular communication. On the day of she was amazing. Everything went smoothly and I didn't need to worry about a thing. Her staff was amazing too! I would work with Emily again in a heartbeat.

us feel confident about managing everything leading up to the wedding. We absolutely couldn't have done the wedding without Emily, and her suggestions and guidance helped us create the most memorable day. 100% recommend, she's terrific!

to detail when I decided to hire her. Early on in the process, she gave great insight on what to look for in wedding vendors and helped my vision come to life. When I told her what we wanted for our ceremony and how we needed to schedule our day in order to get the most out of our vendors and their time constraints, she helped come up with a timeline that was instrumental in everything going as smoothly as it did. She reached out to all of my other vendors so that everyone was on the same page, and made sure that our ceremony and reception spaces were decorated more beautifully than I could've imagined. She really tailors every detail to what her clients want and will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding goes smoothly and on time. You really can't go wrong with Emily and her team, so do yourself a favor and let her help you in your planning and on your big day.

ork with. She took all the stress out of planning, but left all the fun, and really helped us to work out every detail. She clearly has a ton of experience with weddings, and knows all of the ins and outs. Our wedding was perfectly, uniquely us, and it would not have been possible without her. Herr coordinators Cayla and Eva were so professional, helpful, and personable on the day of and everything went so smoothly. It was the perfect day and we are so so thankful for everything Emily Katherine Events did to make it possible!

sful adventure. Since we lived out of town, it was important to us to have a wedding planner that knew the area well and was able to make to knowledgeable recommendations. Emily exceeded our expectations in this regard, even up to the place to get wedding day shaves! She was extremely friendly and remained communicative throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, she seemed to have a sixth sense of what we would worry about, and was able to take care of problems before they arose. In fact, we had multiple family members comment on her calm, confident demeanor during the event. She kept us sane throughout the process, and we would happily recommend her to anyone in the area.
