Emerald City Sound

flow of the day going. Highly recommend!

ed on what our guests were vibing to. He was super easy to work with and incorporated all of our requests. We'd recommend him to other couples planning their wedding!

we like into our event, since this is our first time planning for a wedding. He was super polite and professional to work with all through the planning stages and day-of, and the process to set up our playlists was super easy, it’s clear he is very experienced with this. Even when the order of operations got mixed up (our bad, whoops), he was quick to adapt with announcements and music changes, so much so that nobody even noticed what happened. While we are not likely to need another wedding DJ any time soon, for those who are, we wholeheartedly recommend Matt!

ful for that. Our only issue is that he played too many bangers in a row and our feet hurt!

start, Matt was incredibly helpful in guiding us through music selections. His flow and timing during the event was flawless and he made the entire evening feel seamless. He was so easy to work with and was very professional and punctual. Beyond his DJ-ing talent, Matt is kind, funny, and friendly. Matt genuinely seemed like he 100% wanted to be there and was having a blast. At 9:57 pm - right before the last song - the power went out. Somehow, Matt was able to play the last song and we had so much fun dancing in the dark by candle light. We're so grateful for how magical he made our wedding reception. Highly recommend working with him!

ited for my song to walk down the aisle to. He was super communicative and easy to get in touch with. Being the bride, I was busy all day the day of, but Matt arrived right on time, set up, and had the music playing right away as guests were arriving. The songs we walked down the aisle to were timed perfectly and he kept the dance party going after dinner. We really appreciated Matt, and he set the vibe of our wedding, thank you!!

choices that will keep the crowd going. He was also incredibly organized and energetic with his announcements. We would recommend Matt for any event!

for the evening. We felt completely taken care of throughout the whole process. We also appreciated how Matt really took our preferences into account. Our intent with the reception was to dance nonstop and Matt made that happen - we're still getting compliments about how fun the playlist was and how no one left the dance floor. We could not recommend Emerald City Sound more.

he dance floor because of how well he DJed the dance potion of the night. He took our input but also added some crowd requests that had everyone singing and dancing for hours. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a DJ!

e easily. He followed our lists of songs and our guests had a great time dancing.

fessional from day one! We did a zoom meeting to meet him face to face, which was so personable. He sent us a spreadsheet to be able to request songs throughout our big day. He gave us the best communication while we were planning. While we had a big list of requests, he added some songs that really made the mood special. The slow songs during the reception were really great to take a moment to take everything in. He was the MC as well and did an amazing job! He was a big part of our wedding day and we're so glad we had him there to be a part of it!

ved so many compliments from our guests about it. I will highly recommend Matt to everyone needing a great DJ.

! He was able to slow a ceremony song down for us and played a song during our unity candle that all sounded perfect! He was on time and the best MC, and we so enjoyed having him as part of our special day! Highly recommend for any DJ needs- he truly is so knowledgeable with all music and his experience is clear in all he does! We are so thankful to have worked with him and our wedding was the perfect day with all his help!

at got everybody out on the dance floor, starting with getting all the grandparents out there and then playing some hits for the “younger folks”. He had the whole crowd happy the entire night!! He also did a great job as emcee and making any necessary announcements! Overall it was so stress free and easy and fun to work with him and I would have him DJ any event in the future!! Thanks Matt!! -The Randells

I happily accepted. I would definitely hire Matt again.

fully confident in his DJ abilities. And then the wedding came and he proved to be even better than we expected. Matt curated a fun and well thought out night. He respected the music we selected and played songs at the perfect times to keep the night fun without tiring people out too quickly. He was simply Phenomenal.

ngs we didn’t even think of adding on but also wanted! Matt was amazing to work with throughout the planning process and helped us with some music we didn’t even have a plan for (we had no idea what music for the recessional haha!) Thank you Matt for playing some good music that made our wedding a day we will never forget!

/DJing our special day. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a great all-around DJ for their wedding or event. Thanks Matt!

cated clearly through the entire hectic process of wedding planning, and then showed up on time and needed no help from us. He was amazing and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a guaranteed professional service at their wedding!

was great and allowed us to have the biggest dance party for ourselves and our guests. The bridal party never left the dance floor! He was responsive during the planning period and really let us curate our sound and music interests!

laying incredible music at the perfect times, It was the flawless blend of nonstop enjoyable music that faded into the background when necessary, but which turned up the party when it was time. More dancing than I’ve seen at a wedding in a long time. He also did an incredible job with uplighting. 10/10, THANK YOU MATT.

sic to perfection. The lights and sound were perfect for our space and knowing Matt had backups for everything he brought took a load of stress off our backs. Absolutely recommend Matt for your wedding - he did a fantastic job!

nd efficient with everything both leading up to the wedding and on our big day. We had quite a few songs during our ceremony and he got all of them perfectly without us having to give him any reminders. And at the reception, music he chose appealed to all of our guests, so our grandparents were out dancing just as much as our bridal party! We couldn’t have asked for better and will definitely be recommending Emerald City Sound to all of our friends!

including all the songs we were looking forward to hearing at our wedding! Thanks again, Matt!

idn't ask him too - so it was much appreciated) and made sure everything is set up. Our wedding was outdoors and it rained during our ceremony. Matt was there standing in the rain to hold the remote microphone receiver and make sure everything works well. He played our playlist but was also able to pick up on our music taste and add more songs (we said we are flexible). The party was amazing and he even stayed a bit extra for us. We would highly recommend hiring Matt as your DJ! You won't regret it.

d out a list of songs & Matt was able to match the “vibe”! If we were to do it all over again we would choose Matt! Thanks again!!

h Emerald City Sound as your event DJ.

ong list requests a few weeks in advance for all parts of the day (ceremony, pre-ceremony, dancing etc) and had great suggestions for us as well, or we could have him choose the songs. We got great reviews from our guests after the wedding that he did a phenomenal job with our dancing music!! Would definitely recommend him to others!

e wedding to go over our timeline and requests. He quickly picked up on our somewhat non-traditional vibe and made thoughtful suggestions. Our goal was to dance the night away, and Matt definitely delivered! We had SO MUCH FUN at our wedding - having the right music and atmosphere was the critical ingredient. Thanks again for making our day a huge success!

there. The process of us communicating our song preferences was streamlined. On the day of, Matt made all the right announcements, and got the party going! He handled requests very well and was very knowledgeable about genres and artists. He judged the mood of the room and modulated the pace just right. We danced all night! Heels were kicked off, flats were brought out, and my feet ached like hell the next day. It was a great party. Huge thanks to Matt!

nailed it—the dance party kept going all night! He even sent us a Spotify playlist with a ton of great suggestions when we were having trouble choosing a processional song. We're so glad we hired Matt to DJ our wedding and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a non-cheesy DJ who will keep the dance party going.

al occasions and this wedding was no exception! He effortlessly handled our pre-wedding requests for specific versions of songs or custom shortened songs. During the wedding, he was very professional and set an elegant, but fun tone to the night. Everyone was dancing the night away because of Matt! Also, he expertly handled an obscure song request from my husband's uncle and it became one of the most memorable moments of the night!

and professional, and he made the whole process very easy from our first meeting, to updating playlists, and wedding day correspondence. His package pricing is a great value for his high quality services, and we would absolutely recommend him! He played all the songs we wanted to hear and filled in the rest! He was great at reading the room for our high energy crowd! Everyone had a blast! Matt was a great emcee as well, he was on top of all the announcements and timeline for our day, and everything between the various vendors ran so smoothly! Thank you so much Matt!!!

e at ease and asked questions that I hadn’t even thought of. He sent us an excel sheet to get our specific ceremony songs in and list any other input that made our night unique to us. I especially thought it was genius to have a “do not play list”! So funny, and we did put some songs on that list. We met up prior to the wedding just to sit down briefly and make sure we were all on the same page. We got to hear how he made our bride/groom first dance flow so well (and the demo gave us a chance to practice a little dance we put together!) During our ceremony, we had two singers come up for one song and Matt did a great job at having everything set up for them and being super flexible with that. There are so many great things I could say but my two biggest take aways...1) the music was wonderful and flowed so smoothly [the ceremony songs and the dance music]. We had many people commenting to us on how much they enjoyed the music, 2) Matt was an absolute joy to work with and the experience was so fun!! I would definitely recommend him to anyone else and I’m so grateful for all he did to make our night so awesome!!

it without feeling like the party was slowing down. He was so easy to work with, and met us ahead of time to get a sense of our style and musical interests. We had so many compliments from family and friends saying they loved his choices and his timing! He also did a great job being a helpful MC without talking too much, which we've experienced at other weddings. I cannot recommend Matt enough!

g process. He made the extra effort to be present at our rehearsal which made all of my pre wedding jitters settle. The entire day of our wedding he was not only professional and fun to work with but the music was a perfect combination of both my husband and i's suggestions and perfectly matched songs to fit the mood. We received several compliments from our guests about how unique our music was and how well it flowed throughout the night. Matt adapted to our changing timeline throughout the night and did a great job with announcements and helping with transitions. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for an amazing DJ to make your wedding memorable and mostly importantly feel like YOU. Thanks for make the soundtrack to our special day so perfect.

y laid back but fun and professional approach. We knew that we would be in good hands and that Matt would be able to personalize our wedding just the way we wanted and help us throw an awesome party! From the planning stages he gave us a shared drive so we could submit our song requests for each part of the wedding (pre- ceremony, cocktail hour, dancing, etc) which helped see the flow of the wedding before it happened and keep things organized. On the day of Matt helped the day flow seamlessly. Our ceremony was outdoors and reception indoors and he had a great plan to make sure that we were always with music. He emceed our reception as well and did a great job! He kept the dance floor on fire up until the end of the night! Overall I think emerald city sound is a fantastic choice at a very reasonable price! Thank you Matt!

ions, listened to our requests and attended the rehearsal to ensure everything went down accordingly. He was a great MC, super positive and followed our timeline. And of course, best of all, the music was amazing! He played our requested songs, and threw in some of his own that matched our genre. During the dining part of the wedding, he saved my more low key tunes and created a very nice dining ambience, and as soon as it was time for dancing the music was non stop hits. The groom is a musician and he's still talking about how he teared up on the dance floor listening to hit after hit and watching all of our favorite people dance around. We had some toddlers that were jamming as well and super excited by the lights. It was amazing! Thank you, Matt!

rty started at the end of the night! As a bride who is young and naive about the whole wedding process, he was the perfect asset from the wedding planning to keeping the actual wedding day on course. He was very accommodating (my wedding was not at a venue, but a large backyard/estate), since he had to move from the ceremony site to the reception site, but he managed all without missing a beat. He is even giving us a CD of all our music played at the wedding. When you meet Matt, you know he is just a genuine DJ ready to make your wedding day special. I would highly recommend Emerald City Sound!
