Emerald Anchor Photography

e requests from both of us as well as our family members, and because they were willing to travel to Charleston, SC where we had our intimate ceremony with immediate family. We had SO much fun throughout the entire process and have received countless compliments on all of our photos. We could not be happier with the experience or the photos! I look forward to using Arika & Tim’s annual 50% off photos to continue to capture all of life’s special moments!!

feel comfortable and excited throughout the day. Then, the photos themselves are BEAUTIFUL. We picked Arika because of her editing style and how the photos are so colorful, vivid, and true to the moment. Being a fall wedding, capturing the colors was very important to us and she nailed it 100%. They also did such a good job making sure we got all of the photos that we wanted throughout the day, making suggestions along the way, and staying for the whole reception to capture the chaotic and fun moments after dinner. Unbelievable photography and incredibly personable. We loved Emerald Anchor Photography and Arika and Tim.

l, and the final product was everything we could have asked for. So many amazing moments captured in their work, and we just recently received our wedding video which brought such fond memories rushing back. I highly recommend Emerald Anchor for any photography services you need, I promise you’ll never be disappointed! Thank you again Arika and Tim!

pictures. Arika did an amazing job and we will always book with her when we need pictures no matter what!

thing to get the perfect photos and PERFECT mine are. I will truly cherish our photos for the rest of my life. They're better than I could've ever imagined.

someone who is not great at taking pictures! They made us feel so comfortable and worth every dollar spent! I will absolutely reach out to them again to do other pictures in the future!

end them more! We have the most beautiful pictures and hope to work with them more in the future :)

n California and had our wedding in Ohio. When I reached out initially, I was thinking of having someone else do our engagement shots just because we're so far. Arika made a special trip out to L.A. (newly pregnant, too, ROCKSTAR) and made sure we had the most perfect session ever. On our wedding day, she kept the timeline going smoothly for us and made sure we all were laughing and got the best smiles. I'm so impressed with Emerald Anchor. They are a talented, kind, driven team who are truly artists. Looking at their portfolio of stunning shots (the colors they bring out in those shots, I mean wow!) should convince you to hire them alone, but I hope this review helps ensure that you'll be getting the best humans behind the camera as well.

time management on the job is amazing! Having her all day took a huge weight off my shoulders! Cannot thank her enough for all her help and support leading up to the wedding!

new she was the right fit for us. We added on her videography service and are so happy that we did. We opted for the longer video (approx 5 min) and we love sharing it with our friends & family! The cost was absolutely reasonable and the videographer was with us the entire day as well. She is so friendly and professional and made sure our priorities were her priorities. We had to make several changes throughout the planning process and Arika was super responsive and flexible, which definitely alleviated a lot of stress. We had so much fun at our engagement session and we had full confidence in her going into the wedding!! Our wedding photos are simply amazing. She managed to capture every shot we hoped for and I love that there are so many (over 1000!) photos from our wedding. Keeping in mind how busy she was this year, we did receive our photos/video much sooner than I expected!! Her prices cannot be beat for the service AND quality!! I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends/family and I love knowing that if I need a photography service again she will be my go to person.

ery detail and part of our special day. She understood our vision and captured exactly that! She is a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend to any newly engaged couples!!

tures. Arika and her husband are very kind, personable and easy to work with. Thank you both!

felt like old friends were taking our pictures. As for the results, the photos turned out extraordinary. They went to incredible lengths to capture the perfect shots – even laying on the ground, head and and shoulders angled upward uncomfortably – and their outstanding effort shows! The high quality, professional images captured timeless moments we will forever treasure. We highly recommend these remarkable photographers.

Words can’t even begin to express how wonderful Arika was during our whole wedding process. From scheduling our engagement photos to our wedding day she offered suggestions, guidance and support to make our wedding process unforgettable. The pandemic hit everyone, but we weren’t going to let it ruin our special day. We had to make a few adjustments to our wedding day, but Arika was flexible and understanding. Arika fit right in with our family and friends. You could tell she was just excited as we were. She was laughing, smiling, dancing and singing all while capturing the most amazing pictures. She always kept the line of communication open and kept us informed of cost, deadlines and explained how we can view/purchase our pictures. She made everything SO easy! Looking through our pictures from our engagement session and wedding day brought ALL of the emotions out. I smiled, laughed, cried and got goosebumps on a few. It was like taking a walk down memory lane. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication Arika put into us and that especially shows in our pictures. She received so many compliments from our guests and I’ve had several people tell me that our pictures look like the are from a magazine. I highly recommend if you need a photographer to contact Arika. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

family photos, but we thought there wouldn’t be any harm in looking for other options. Let me tell you, Emerald Anchor is worth every penny compared to the competition. Other photographers were either very restrictive with their photo options, were too expensive, or didn’t even bother to get back to us. Arika is responsive to messages, emails, and texts, but also makes sure that you are comfortable, both before the shoots and during the shoots. She does an amazing job at posing people so that it makes you look even better than you thought you could, and tries to loosen things up and have fun. To expand upon her attention to detail, she always hires a second shooter to make sure every Kodak moment is covered on your special day. And (And!) she really wants to cultivate a relationship with her clients, moving from client to friend. We were originally set for a wedding in the Fall, but had to move it up to May; although she had previous commitments for our new wedding date, she still provided two associate shooters for our wedding! The associates caught everything, from the product-photography type photos of the rings and outfits, to getting ready, and everything during the ceremony and reception. She then offered us a post wedding shoot, which was utterly breathtaking. Finally, we were able to work a payment plan out beforehand in order to accommodate our budget, receiving the photos after our final payment. We would definitely recommend her for any of your photo needs! :)

of our lives. Arika was so accommodating from being rained out on our engagement photos and having to reschedule, helping us make a day of timeline, incorporating our large and crazy family to even helping make sure everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding. Arika became family. Arika has an artist touch that no one else has. We may have had the craziest party to capture but Arika captured every detail and every moment perfectly. Our wedding day was amazing and looking at our photos takes us back to that day and feel all the feelings. We can not thank Erika and her team enough for everything they have done for us. We will definitely be using Emerald Anchor Photography in the future for family photos and hopefully newborn photos soon!

ir shoot as well. She was awesome and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced wedding photographer. Wedding days are very stressful and more often that not, the photographer is more like a wedding planner and photographer all in one. She kept us organized and on schedule AND made sure to capture all of the special moments we requested. Pictures are really all you have at the end of the day and the way she brings the photos to life is something we will cherish forever. If you want a caring, dedicated, and well experience photographer, look no further.

iends. When we told them that we were getting married in Charleston, they were immediately in! Arika’s professional eye for photography gave us such a dreamy and colorful set of engagement photos in Charleston! The hues of orange and yellow on the beach at sunrise were absolutely stunning. As most things with CoVID, we had to change wedding plans last minute. Arika and Tim welcomed all last minute changes, adapted and helped us make our intimate wedding day so special. Arika captured our ceremony, details and reception so beautifully. She far exceeded our expectations. Her radiating energy and happiness kept everyone laughing and created gorgeous candid moments that we will cherish forever!

very aspect. They were so fun to work with, and 100% genuine. Also, no hidden fee's or anything unexpected. Everything is clear, up front, and communicated well! As a bride- the last thing I wanted to do was stress about pictures. When it came to pictures, Arika and Tim were so easy to work with! Arika helped plan our timeline to make sure we could get what we wanted and in a timely manner. Our wedding day was beyond perfect, and Arika and Tim captured every feeling that we felt in such an amazing way! Another reason I would highly recommend Emerald Anchor is that when you book them for your wedding, it comes with complimentary engagement photos! When comparing prices, this was such a money saver. ALSO! Arika and Tim are adventurous and take pictures anywhere you want them. They traveled with us to a farmers market, metro parks (woods, creaks, fields), an alpaca farm, and all over the town we got married. Every picture and place captured a moment in our lives that we will hold on to for a lifetime. Emerald Anchors style is about color. Arika is extremely skilled at allowing the beautiful colors to truly 'POP' and make your moment come alive! There are so many wonderful and amazing things I could say about Emerald Anchor and working with Arika and Tim- but the last two things I will highlight are this: This business does not put a time limit on your day. When we were searching for a photographer, many offered 'x' hours before 'x' additional fee for every hour after that. No joke- Arika and Tim captured everything! Our wedding was LONG. They dedicated the entire day to us, from set up to tear down and everything in between- NOT ONCE did either of them complain or slow down in what they were doing. I truly felt beyond blessed as a bride to know I wasn't on a time clock for pictures. Lastly, Emerald Anchor did our videography. Our small request of recording the ceremony, "on a phone or something" turned into a full on video of the entire day, beautifully arranged with music and snippets of each moment as we were asked if we wanted to be guinea pigs for the ability to soon offer videography to their services. Arika and Tim truly go ABOVE AND BEYOND! Every dollar spent is pennies in comparison of what you receive. Their work is truly incredible, and working with them was such a pleasure. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

ure!

en I would not have thought to have and glad we did! Their creative ability is truly amazing! I would highly recommend them! Not only do they take great pictures, but, they get to know the couple first!!! Book them now!

Before the wedding, they took a lot of time to get to know us. We had a long google hangout between us and the couple just to get acquainted and discuss the game plan. Arika was so communicative throughout the process and made us feel so at ease. Arika sent us several timelines to work off of based on previous weddings they had shot, and our wedding coordinator said that the outline we gave her based on this recommendation was the most detailed she’d ever started with. Although we didn’t have an engagement session (totally because of us, not Emerald Anchor), Arika and Tim drove in early all the way from OH to GA in order to have time to take a few shots before our rehearsal. We immediately felt at ease with the team. They are so easy-going and give directions that are easy to follow. We had never taken professional pictures before, but their directions made it so easy. They stayed for our ENTIRE wedding, and it was so nice not to worry about getting the exit in before the photographers left. We never felt rushed, and both Arika and Tim really make sure that the photos are looking good quickly before moving on so that everyone is happy with the end product. They were so great throughout the entire process, and worked well with huge family photos, couple shots, and even five little flower girls (seriously, Arika got six kids under 8 to look in one picture, which is a miracle in itself)! So many family members and friends have continued to tell me how friendly and helpful our photographers were for weeks after the wedding, and that was before seeing the photos! We got our “sneak peak” yesterday, which included EIGHTY amazing photos! The photos are perfectly edited and look amazing. We cannot wait to see the full gallery because we were so thrilled with the first taste. Arika and Tim are absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding photography experience.

tely work with them again!

fun and we can't wait to see what they look like!

ose Emerald Anchor!

the photos. I highly recommend emerald anchor photography to everyone. Whether it’s family photos or a special event, they listen to your wants and needs. As the mother of the groom, I highly recommend them.

rapher. In each circumstance she was able to capture our daughter's unique personalities and special relationship with their grooms. Arika is an artist, bringing color, perspective, beauty and humanity into her photos. Arika certainly made the job easy for the Mother of the Bride as Arika attended to the organization of the family group photographs, timeline of the event, and a host of special requests. She has been a joy to work with as she is very attentive to detail and to what your particular desires are for the your event. I highly recommend Emerald Anchor Photography for your wedding or special event.

hoes with our rings. They went out of their way to make our day absolutely perfect!! We couldn’t of asked for better photos and photographers! Love the couple duo!

to still relive every single moment. We had so much fun working with them, and they really helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera. I would 100% recommend Emerald Anchor Photography to anyone who is in need of a photographer; you will not regret it!!

ing opportunity come up for us to have a ceremony on a bridge in our small town. The only catch was we had 5 days to plan it! I contacted Arika asking if there was any possible way she could make the trip (over 600 miles) to be our photographer. She was so excited and bent over backwards to be there. Her interaction with our family and guests was natural and relaxing. She stayed calm during the chaos. She builds a connection with each individual to make them feel comfortable while she is capturing moments. The experience the day of was fantastic and the photos we received later were even better. Her photography is amazing and timeless. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her for any photography needs.

ne, most pure smiles that they can get. They were also really flexible in almost every aspect they could be. Arika was such a trooper getting all of the group photos which were taken outside on a very hot day. Doing everything she could, including laying down in the street to get the perfect photos.

the romance we lack. They both made us feel comfortable and we had fun with it too. The pictures turned out so great! We are very pleased with them and will definitely come back when we need more! Thank you, Arika and Tim for making our day so special!

The rich colors and the true joy and passion she captures in her subjects really stood out to me. It just so happened that she was having a wedding session giveaway and, much to my shock, we were selected. The incredible process of working with Emerald Anchor Photography began. I did have some concerns working with photographers from many states away (they are based in Ohio and we live in Florida), but my fears were completely unfounded. From the very first email, Arika and Tim were much more than just photographers. They took the time to set up video conferences throughout the process and were always very responsive to our emails and texts. Despite never having met in person, I felt that they took an honest, personal interest in us as a couple, and it felt more like working with friends than strangers. Our time spent getting to know each other through the video conferences, emails, and texts helped Arika and Tim tailor our photography experience to truly capture what it meant to be us on our special day. In addition to guiding us through the photography experience, they helped guide us through the entire wedding. I was doing the planning myself and was completely lost until Arika and Tim took the time to talk us through a typical wedding day. They even provided us with several sample timelines that we were able to pull from and modify to create our own. This was hugely helpful, and I owe the seamlessness of the day to them. They began their time in Florida with us doing a short test session, so we could get comfortable with each other and adjust to working together. We did this instead of an engagement shoot, although they were exceedingly accommodating and willing to travel to make that happen for us too. Unfortunately my crazy schedule did not allow it. The phrase “above and beyond” is no cliché for Arika and Tim! They were with us from getting ready at the start of our wedding day all the way through the very end of our night. I was worried that it might feel forced or strange having people constantly snapping pictures of us all day, but they integrated themselves into the process in a way that was very natural. When we received our pictures, which happened significantly faster than I expected, we were floored by the results! Each photo radiates joy and love. There is a stunning blend of exquisite portraits and vibrant, candid pictures that exude the emotions of the day. The colors are spectacular. I would recommend Arika and Tim of Emerald Anchor Photography to everyone, everywhere. Don’t let location discourage you from booking this incredible team. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but pictures that somehow capture the buzzing elation you feel while celebrating your love in marriage are absolutely priceless.

. She is highly attentive to detail-work and has one of the best artistic eyes I've ever seen. A lovely human who will capture your memories beautifully!

ful throughout the shoot. Plus she went to extraordinary lengths to capture theses photos at the top of a mountain at my request! That’s dedication and hard work! One very unique quality that Arika brings to the table is her ability to make you feel comfortable and laugh. This makes for the best photos in a very natural way (at least that’s how I feel when looking at my engagement photos). If you are like me and don’t enjoy having your picture taken or feel awkward this quality is a must in a photographer. It was a very easy session! I have known Arika for a few years now and knew she would be the one taking my engagement photos. I will most certainly have her as my wedding photographer!

ality to shoot our wedding; someone we knew would get along with our families and allow us to not feel so formal like your on stage the entire day. From the first time my husband and I met Arika we knew she would be perfect for our event. She was easy going, overly friendly, a dog lover, and obviously a very skilled photographer. What we didn’t realize is that we would get a package deal & gain new friends along the way. Arika and her husband Tim are the type of people who can definitely keep the day moving and capture the moments necessary but they still had fun and could enjoy the day with us. Our family and friends loved getting to know them and working with them the entire day. We feel so fortunate that we found them for our wedding day. I would highly recommend using them for any photography needs!

but she, more than anyone else, was able to really understand the vision I had for our photography, and translate that into beautiful images that we love. She truly was able to capture exactly what I envisioned, and create timeless images that we will treasure for a lifetime. I couldn't be happier with my choice in photographers.

e so many wonderful memories of our wedding and Emerald Anchor Photography has given us a wonderful means to share them.

have the best photos and goes above and beyond to make sure they come out great. When anyone needs a photographer I recommend Emerald Anchor Photography!!

to get details about our special day. She met every need with a caring and cheerful attitude. Arika was willing to go the extra mile on every photograph she took. She trekked into the woods with us on my family’s farm for an engagement shoot and made us feel like it was a walk in the park. One of the most memorable moments of my experience with Emerald Anchor Photography was during our wedding reception when Arika grabbed us as the sun was setting for a beautiful and memorable sunset shoot! Arika pays attention to details and is very aware of her surroundings. She will work hard and treat your event as if it were her own. Highly recommended!

hen my husband proposed I knew I had to have her shoot what truly was the best day of my life! I called her up immediately and not only did she drive 2 hours to shoot my engagement pictures one afternoon but she also came all the way down to my little hometown in Virginia with no questions asked! From my “save the date” magnets to all of my wedding photos she captured the entire day perfectly. I will cherish the photos of that day for a lifetime and recommend emerald anchor with high praise!

ou want, and possesses extreme attention to detail that sets her work apart from other photographers. I enjoyed working with her so much - I booked her for both my engagement photos and my wedding! She is timely, prepared, professional, fun, and super easy to work with. Her prices are very fair and she offers a variety of products to choose from. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a photographer for any event - senior pictures, graduations, engagement sessions, family portraits, pregnancy photos, special occasions, etc. and especially weddings!

She was very flexible with us scheduling engagement shots and even let us do it in two parts when my husband injured his back. More importantly, on the day of our wedding she made me feel/look like a princess! She has a knack for eliciting natural looking photos. Also, her secondary photographer (her husband) is rediculously funny. He had us laughing quite a bit while taking our posed photos, creating a wonderful effect. I was worried about our photos not turning out great, since I consider myself VERY unphotogenic. My fears were totally unfounded. We love our wedding photos and all the captured memories that go with them! I would (and have) highly recommend her to any engaged couple looking for a wedding photographer!
