I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Ellen Thomas Event Designs, and especially our planner, Maddie. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her, and choosing...
ETED to be part of our day was one of the best decisions we made.
From the very beginning, Maddie was incredibly organized, responsive, and professional. She listened to every idea I had, understood exactly what I was envisioning, and brought it all to life even better than I imagined. I always felt like she genuinely cared about our wedding and about making sure every detail felt like us.
What I appreciated most about Maddie was how calm, cool, and collected she was through absolutely everything. No matter what was happening, I knew that if Maddie was there, it was handled. She became so much more than just our wedding planner - she truly felt like a friend and a safe space throughout the entire process. I trusted her completely, and that allowed me to actually enjoy our engagement and, most importantly, be fully present on our wedding day.
Her communication was incredible, her attention to detail was unmatched, and she handled everything with so much professionalism while still being incredibly warm and caring. There were so many things happening behind the scenes that I never even had to think about because Maddie was already on top of them.
When our wedding day finally arrived, I was able to look around and see everything I had envisioned come together perfectly. Maddie understood me, understood my vision, and executed it flawlessly. I genuinely don’t know what I would have done without her.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ellen Thomas Event Designs as a whole. Every single person we met or worked with was professional, kind, talented, and genuinely amazing. Ellen herself was incredible to work with, and it is so clear that she has built an amazing team and surrounds herself with the absolute best of the best. There is such a high level of professionalism and care across the entire ETED team, and you can tell that everyone truly takes pride in what they do.
If you are considering Ellen Thomas Event Designs, do it. And if you have the opportunity to work with Maddie, you are in the absolute best hands. She and the entire ETED team played such a huge role in making our wedding one of the best days of our lives, and I will forever be grateful for them. I can’t recommend them enough!

s knew exactly what needed to be done and when, what details would add a special touch to our day, had a solution for every potential situation, were always punctual for meetings and truly listened to what our desires were for our wedding so they could deliver an event that exceeded our expectations. On the actual wedding day, we couldn’t have done it without them. Of course they kept everyone on schedule and logistically made the day run smoothly, but more than anything, Maddie and Emma were the friends we needed there to calm our nerves, be our biggest fans, and make sure we had the most perfect day from start to finish. We love the ETED team and highly recommend for all wedding planning needs!!!

ever had to worry about a thing - I could have never had the peace of mind like I did without them! They were honest with me on decisions that I asked for their opinions and they shared in my excitement with me when we started to see things coming together! Their organization was probably where they helped the most, from a structured timeline of what should be done and by when, to final invoices from allll the vendors, how to pay, and when to pay them - I truly couldn't have done it without them! I joked towards the end, but really I was being serious, I hope to get to hang out with the ETED team as friends when we come back to Oxford because they truly are the kindest, COOLEST, and best wedding planners I could have ever asked for! How special to gain friends through the process - i am just so thankful for each of them that made our day perfect!

t all went in to wedding planning—we were clueless! We would have been lost without Ellen throughout the whole process. She is extremely organized, diligent, flexible, and, because she has everything together, is very much a calming presence when you and your spouse-to-be are freaking out because something just isn’t going the way you thought (like it pouring raining ten minutes before the outdoor ceremony was supposed to start). We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding and it was all thanks to Ellen and her girls! I highly highly recommend Ellen Thomas Event Design. You will NOT be disappointed. Thanks again Ellen and good luck with everything!!

ng coordinator and she truly was a blessing. I am a huge planner and felt I knew exactly what type of ambiance I wanted for my wedding day - from the flowers to the cake, decor, music and all - and with my mother's help I "knew" we were set! However while I may have had the answers to all those questions that first come to mind when you start planning, I actually realized as we got closer to the wedding that I (nor my mother) knew anything about what it would actually take to make the wedding run as we'd dreamed. That's when Ellen came to the rescue! She was professional, knowledgable, sweet and super fun to work with! All our ideas and current plans were weaved together to create the beautiful wedding it was - even with me living 1,200 miles away! It was especially great to have her take over the communication and coordination between vendors to ensure no details were missed. And, believe me, there are so many crazy details that only someone as gifted as Ellen would know to cover! She was so kind and helpful to my mother and I - meeting her at our venue before the wedding and speaking with me across the miles to make sure we were all on the same page. The weekend of the wedding, Ellen and her team felt more like great friends working hard to put on a spectacular event to honor the marriage of 2 people they'd known forever. From running around to find my seamstresses' instructions for my bustle to ensuring my new husband and I had a nice spot to relax, eat and have a few toasts as a newlywed couple together prior to the reception beginning, Ellen had it covered! Throughout the planning process and wedding weekend, I always received a positive, calming vibe while working with Ellen - which is very important to any bride! Our wedding was unbelievably beautiful and (equally as important) stress free - thanks to Ellen's assistance!
