We had Elevate Entertainment for our wedding - they provided us with a DJ and selfie mirror photo-booth. Our overall experience was good. The DJ (Broc) was nice, helpful, and paid ...attention to detail during our planning meetings. People loved the photo-booth and Henry was fantastic at running it and suggesting poses for people. We did have a couple of minor issues along the way:
1. Before our wedding, they give you a client portal to keep everything in one place (planning forms, timelines, vendor info, payment invoices and portal, song requests, etc.). A couple months before our wedding, the website randomly stopped loading for me. I tried every browser, phone/computer, etc. I started to panic because I knew we had payments to make and information forms to fill out. I emailed and texted the company about this issue and they sent me a different link to try, which still didn't work. I responded that it wasn't working and got no reply. I mentioned again a couple weeks later that it still wasn't working and got no reply again. When they finally did reply, it was to confirm receipt of payment we mailed, which made it seem like they only cared about getting paid rather than client experience. This was a minor issue because I was still able to mail payment and give any remaining info about the event over a phone call during our meeting, but caused some extra stress that felt a little unprofessional.
2. We were supposed to have a 30-day mtg with our DJ (who we had never met) to go through everything. I had not heard anything as of 22 days before the event, and sent a message to the company to ask about it - we got no reply. It was not until our venue manager reached out to the company on our behalf that our mtg got scheduled. Regardless, we were able to have the mtg and get everything situated, but again, slightly unprofessional.
3. When introducing our bridal party, the DJ kind of just forgot to mention that the person walking in was the best man - it was kind of awkward, but not a big deal.
4. Our first dance song was incorrect. This was NOT the DJ's fault. The wrong song started playing and I looked at him and shook my head to indicate this was the wrong song. After going to look at his screen, it was indeed listed as the song we wanted. It's like the system had the song mislabeled or something. Again, not the DJ's fault, but it did cause an awkward moment for my husband and I. We decided to just dance to the song he played, but we had planned our dance to the song we wanted, so it was a little bit unexpected.
Overall, our experience was good, but could have been a little more professional. I appreciate that they were able to add the photo-booth to our event after our initial meeting. I also liked how our DJ initially planned for the father daughter dance to be 2 mins, but my dad wanted to play the whole song, so the DJ was flexible and changed that for us minutes beforehand. I would still recommend them for DJ services. Absolutely no problems with our photo-booth.
