Edra Couture Bridal

myself). Bella and Gisael handled hair, while Harpreet did makeup. Edra handled my bridal hair and makeup but also was doing touch ups, my mother’s hair, and monitoring the artists. They were social and very nice, while also very focused on their work. I looked at many different stylists for the wedding but when I came across Edra, I loved that she did an initial zoom call (instead of just emails) and gave so much flexibility in her packages. She worked with me on the timeline for the day of, asked for some inspo pics for the bridal party, and discussed the different hair and skin textures of the group. Throughout the process, she was reassuring of the teams skills, positive, and gave creative suggestions. The photographer showed up quite early on the wedding day, which caused a bit of a hiccup to the timeline, and Edra was amazing at redirecting/pushing back on him and overall reassuring me that as the bride I should not be feeling rushed or stressed. She was amazing!

ugh I kept moving lol. My only complaint was that her additional stylist needed a lot of direction and I think that affected timing. When I expressed this concern, Edra was quick to gratify the situation. Thank you Edra for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day!

desmaid. Our consultation call went fine, the standard of calls I would say. She sounded like she was knowledgeable and had been in the industry for years along with owning her own business back in Chicago. So I booked a trial with her. She talks about how she works out of her studio (I'm thinking its like a salon studio). The day of the trial, I showed up to what seems to be her apartment which was a little odd and not really professional in my opinion. I still went through with it as I already had hair trials before at other salons and it did not work out. My hair trial was over 2 hours which is fine and the hair turned out good so I ended up booking with her. FYI I wanted a soft hollywood look but not to structured. I also gave her examples of course. We went over timeline and communicated through out and up until the wedding day. It its partly my fault for agreeing to a 6AM ( wedding started at 5:30 PM) call to do my hair but then again I am not the professional so I wouldn't know that as the bride I should have gotten my hair done a few hours before arriving to the venue. She came on time to the hotel and started on my hair. It only took her again 2 hours to do. So she finish roughly around 8 AM. So for the rest of the time I got my makeup done, got ready, did get ready photos and headed out to the venue but between all of that my hair had already fallen. It was humid that day so as a professional I would think she would recommend to do my hair later so that it could hold. I think what it was is she double booked that day and since she was only working on me and her partner working on the girls, she can book me then go to her other wedding party that same day. Which I think is strange as you would think she would want to focus on the bride and make sure everything goes as smoothly. When I arrived at the venue to do first look etc. She came to do "touch up" after her other wedding gig which I appreciate I guess…. I felt like she made my hair worst but was also interrupting our photo session. She kept on trying to take pictures of me when my photographer was trying to do her job. She stepped on my husband best man glasses and broke it that was in the grass cause we were taking photos outside and she wasn't watching where she was walking, it was just a hot mess. To do all of that and not post one picture of my hair on her IG is crazy (I’m sure she knew she didn’t deliver the look I wanted) but I didn't care cause it was not up to standard anyways. I just felt like there was lack of professionalism on the day of, no sense of direction of what I needed for the touch up and I'm sure I'm missing out on more details but for the money I paid I was not happy with the results on my wedding day (the most important day). The kicker is she never followed up with me after the wedding like my other vendors did. That just tells me a lot. There are other reviews on yelp and Google on with unhappy brides so I'm not alone. The photo attached is our first dance! The reception was just getting started but my hair was already frizzy and close to straight.

delight; very responsive. I had mentioned to her, that I had a disastrous hair trial, and she had assured me she knew exactly what I was looking for. I paid $180 for the trial. Everything was great, until the trial. You know when you just see red flags, but you avoid and think you are just overthinking it? I have very easy hair: long and straight. I had asked for nice curls and a braid on the side. Easy, right? She started with teasing my hair at the scalp of my head, and she said it's so the hair would stay. Though, I was thinking this is going to be hell the next day in trying to brush it out. She curled my hair, then brushed it which ended up separating the hair. When we got to the braid, she did a fishtail but I told her it looked loose. So, she ended up braiding it, but it was still loose. It looked like someone just twisted it and tucked it in. I could have done it. She said she didn't have long bobby pins?? How do you not have a ton of bobby pins for a hair stylist? Before leaving her place, she insisted I make a deposit of $250. She didn't even say, see how it feels the whole day and let me know. She really wanted my $250. Well, my fault for paying it even though I was not certain, though was hopeful it will stay well throughout the night. Note, I did not sign or have a contract at this point. Boy, I was wrong. I curl my hair everyday and it just looked like my normal look. I was disappointed because of course you pay a lot of money hoping to look your best. So, I emailed her letting her know I didn't want to move forward and would like my $250 back. I was hoping she would be understanding knowing what happened at my first trial. She refused and said, it was on her contract. I said, I didn't have your contract when I gave you my $250. She tried to school me and say you know when you purchase goods, that's how it works. I said, 'no goods were purchased and I'm sure you did not have to turn down any business for the 4 days you had to hold my date'...so it only made sense. I told her I would let people know as to how she operates her business, and she used the words 'blackmail & slander', and had my emails and will use her lawyer. Everything on here is the truth, and just letting you all know how she operates her business. And by the way, not sure why the address says Newbury Street, because I was in an apartment in Foxboro?!

ouraged after a very disappointing beauty trial. I then came across Edra’s page as I was specifically interested in doing Hollywood waves and this is her speciality. My initial appointment with her consisted of a 4 hour trial where she got to know me and my style and then performed the trial hair and makeup up- without a rush! After meeting her that first time, on the morning of my wedding, it felt like I spent the day getting ready with a friend. My wedding hair looked amazing! And my makeup held up the WHOLE day and night…. Edra used hair extensions in my hair and they stayed hidden and in place the whole day. I even switched up how I wanted to do my makeup on the wedding day and it was no problem at all. If you are looking for a personal, genuine experience with a stylist who truly cares about mastering what you want for your day, book with Edra! She knows her field of work!

for my trail. My face even had an adverse to a product ( sensitive skin) and she contacted me right away to come back so we could figure out what my skin didn't like. Edra takes the time to listen to your vision, takes the time to make it come to life and then on my wedding day she was such a comfort to have around. I trusted her so much, I let her cut curtain bangs on me the day of my wedding!! She made me feel like a princess and the most beautiful I've ever felt in my life. I knew we were all in such good hands with her and Sara. I told her I would go through all the stress of planning a wedding again just to have her do my hair and makeup again.

typical asian hair so when she did my hair, I honestly thought she would not 100% capture what I wanted but when I saw my pictures, it blew me beyond my expectations. It was what I wanted and more and I love her work. It was clear she has experience in hair like mine. She was so meticulous with what I wanted and she knew exactly what I was looking for. She listened to my wants and was so accommodating, especially when I changed my mind after my trial with her. 11/10 would get married again to have her do my hair again

ensures your hair and makeup are photo shoot ready and she is very detail oriented!

re thinking of hiring Edra & her team for your wedding day hair and makeup - just do it. It will honestly be one of the best decisions you make in your whole planning process. I was assigned to work with Chanthan and Davy because Edra had already been booked for my wedding date, yet she still worked with me during the trials to craft custom hairstyles that best matched my vision. Edra is incredibly passionate about her work on hair and really takes the time to carefully tailor a style to perfectly suit a person’s features in order to further accentuate their existing beauty. You will also find she is not only talented, but amazingly kind, warm and supportive. Edra was present in every step of the way to make sure things went smoothly. She even called a couple times the week before and even on my actual wedding day just to check in to see if I needed anything. She is such a sweetheart and really goes the extra mile for her brides to make sure they are taken care of. On the morning of my wedding, Davy and Chanthan both showed up on time and readily got to work on all of us. Chanthan, who is amazingly talented and skilled, worked super fast but remained detail-oriented and gave us all stunning hairdos. As for makeup, Davy is a exceptional and a master of her craft. The looks she gave us were flawless. She was able to highlight my features just enough to give me a soft glam glow while still maintaining it as an elevated natural look – which I really loved. I am so very thankful and grateful for hiring Edra, and her stylists Chanthan and Davy. It was such a pleasure working with them. They are some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet and are amazingly talented stylists. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to work with them!

d she started talking about the science behind curly hair, I knew I found the right stylist! She and her team were absolutely AMAZING! Edra has a great process to get to know what a bride wants and she also provides great tips on what your hair and skin need to be healthy & happy. She really listened to what I had in mind for the big day, and then Edra and her team helped me, my bridesmaids, and my mom all look our best. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Thank you, Edra!

and how dedicated to her work she is. Not only did she give me my dream wedding hair but her assistant who did the bridesmaids truly listened to my girls and delivered beautiful results for them as well. They were professional but personal, able to make us all feel beautiful but work efficiently. I was completely amazed by how we all looked and how even the next day my hair was still shiny, holding its curl and full of body!

Being brown and wanting to ensure I didn’t look caked on- Edra took her time to understand my skin texture and tones during our trial to ensure impeccable service on day of. Couldn’t recommend her more!

ll. Molly was so kind to work with! I felt so lucky to work with them!

r the ladies in my family. She was punctual and dependable, starting right on time! Everyone was pleased with their hair from blowouts to updos, Edra did it all! She had my extensions looking so natural for a half up/half down style with accessory headband! I would recommend Edra to anyone for any occasion!

tly to what you want, and helps you realize your vision. She offers a very generous trial (we hung out for 4+ hours homing in on my look!). Bonus is that she is also a skincare and juicing professional, so not only was I able to achieve the gorgeous look I wanted for my wedding, I was also able to learn about skincare and how to get into a better routine leading up to my wedding and beyond. Edra and her team made sure that everyone getting hair and/or makeup done for my wedding felt comfortable - from some bridesmaids who knew EXACTLY what they wanted to my mother-in-law who had never had professional makeup done before and was a bit skeptical. They made everyone feel beautiful and pampered, age ranging from 29-76! I found Edra when I reached out to another Boston-area makeup artist who I had heard about. She was already booked for my day, but immediately recommended Edra, as she admired her work. The fact that another local artist thinks so highly of Edra is another testament to Edra's amazing work, as well as reliability within the industry.

air on my wedding day. She told me she was going to handle everything for me personally (pretty amazing coming from the owner) since I had had such a bad experience with my previous stylist. Her professionalism is 10/10, but her skill at her craft is off the charts. She's an artist! I had a vision of how I wanted my hair and Edra brought it to the next level. I absolutely loved it. Edra also did my MOH, my mother in law, and my mom. Not only did she did get us all done in time by herself, but she also made my mother (who hates getting her hair done) feel as beautiful and special as she should on her daughter's wedding day. BOOK HER!!! You will not be disappointed.
