Ed & Aileen Photography

nd interacting with my partner in front of the camera before the big day! The final photos? AMAZING. Ed was somehow able to get the most magical photos while wrangling 15+ wedding party members, getting us where we needed to go on time and still being very chill and fun. The locations he chose for the wedding party photos and portraits were perfection - they were exactly what we were thinking of and more. He just managed to capture the absolute JOY of the day and made everyone look SO good. We have some really beautiful artistic shots as well as those classic portraits to keep parents happy. We could not imagine having our day captured by anyone else!

wasn’t set, our other vendors were uncertain. But Ed & Aileen were so flexible (and helpful!) throughout this super-stressful process. They were super responsive over email, very forthcoming with other vendor recommendations, and just a joy to get to know. And the pictures! We absolutely loved our engagement photo session (we wanted some major Chicago vibes and boy did they deliver!) and loved getting to know Aileen despite the freezing cold Chicago weather. And our wedding day was nothing short of wonderful with them. Our families and bridal party talked about how cool and fun our photography team was, and we couldn’t agree more. It was truly a blast having Aileen with us all day. We are so pleased with the end result and will absolutely cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. Ed & Aileen, y’all are rockstars.

un to work with. Our sneak peek photos were exactly what we hoped for with a mix of beautiful portrait photos as well as unique shots to capture the energy of the day. We can't wait to see all of the final results. Will definitely work with Ed & Aileen again for many more milestone celebrations and would highly recommend!

if wanted our day to be the epic party we wanted. While they did charge us a fee to reschedule, they were able to compensate us with upgraded services from our original quote and Ed was so wonderful through the whole process. In my mind, for these reasons and more it was absolutely worth every penny to have them for our wedding. They are so professional, kind and downright talented. So glad we hired them - cannot WAIT for our photos !

He's hilarious and goofy, but also is great at giving us direction to make sure we looked our best. We had Ed, and one of his associates photograph the wedding, plus a videographer. We are obsessed with our photos and videos (one 12 min highlight, another long one showing the entire ceremony and all the speeches). I can't say enough great things about Ed, Aileen, and their team (also their cute baby!). This was hands down the best investment we made for our wedding. Everything else is just for one day, but the photos last forever. They helped us with scheduling the timeline for the wedding day. They let us choose locations, but helped with suggestions and logistics, etc. Incredibly fun and kind while still maintaining absolute professionalism. I never felt uncomfortable around this team and I usually hate being photographed. I can't recommend them enough. To those reading this: CONGRATS! It will all work out, and it will be a magical day! Cheers!

o brainer, I booked with them ASAP. Unfortunately, due to my fiances failing health, we made the hard decision to cancel the wedding. When Ed found out, he went ABOVE and BEYOND to reach out with kind words and support. I cried while reading his email, simply because it showed me there is good in this world. Please book with Ed and Aileen!!!

pher who would capture the moments naturally and who we would feel comfortable and less awkward in front of the camera. Ed exceeded our expectations and was super amazing!!!!! Everyone at our wedding loved his energy and the way he worked; he is not only talented but is very sharp yet flexible. We had our wedding postponed twice due to Covid and Ed and Aileen were the MOST caring and flexible vendor among all the vendors we hired- including the venue, DJ, event design, etc. As plans changed due to Covid, we decided to have a small church ceremony and then have the wedding event/reception on the postponed date. Ed captured the moments at the church ceremony the most beautiful way, even when there was less than 10 people. And the photos from our wedding event at the hotel venue turned out as if they were from a movie.!! Ed and Aileen's photos are so LIVE and natural, and the photos turned out even more beautiful than how things actually looked in person. We absolutely loved every single thing about Ed and Aileen and would recommend them to all of our friends. We can't wait to hire them again for our next life event in the future. Thank you Ed and Aileen!

l moments that you don’t even realize are happening until you see the photos. I was personally worried about looking up-tight and awkward in my wedding photos, but Ed & Aileen made the experience feel effortless & fun! They were so much fun to work with and fit right in with our wedding party. Ed & Aileen truly do have your best interest in mind and will go out of their way to capture epic moments that you didn’t even know were possible.

c photographers. From the initial meeting we knew they were our people, and that was confirmed when they helped us throughout the crazy replanning of our wedding due to covid. They are so professional, fun, and just made the whole day so fun and flow so effortlessly. They captured the love and amazing energy throughout the entire day through photos that will last a life time. We cannot recommend them enough.

t fit our intent. Our shoots were fun, playful and the photos came out beautifully. Thanks Aileen!

e photographers for our day which was planned to be a small thing to begin with. With Ed, something just clicked and we loved his energy and professionalism, but above all the friendliness and willingness to get to know us as a couple first. Ed & Aileen will not oversell. Ed worked with us to create a package that worked best for our vision and, on the day of, it was the perfect fit which speaks to his experience. We had our engagement session, wedding day photos & videography done by Ed and Jay. We were worried because we don't take many photos in general together and are very introverted, but we couldn't have asked to work with a better photographer who made us feel at ease as ourselves. All the photos we received were better than we could have imagined and we loved that they captured the stories of the day and our love. We are so happy with our video, especially during COVID times in being able to share our day with our family and friends. It was an item we flip-flopped on may times over, but have 0 regrets now seeing the beautiful production that we can share for years to come. We were cheesin' and crying as we watched our wedding day again. Ed, thank you so much for an unforgettable and positive experience. You have turned one of the happiest days in our life into a work of art.

standing made having to postpone our larger wedding that much easier. In addition to being amazing humans, the photos are also amazing! Ed shot our engagement session and small ceremony. He captured every moment and small detail perfectly! Not to mention he is great at getting kids to feel comfortable getting their picture taken. We cannot wait for Ed & Aileen to capture our wedding later this year!! We highly recommend working with Ed & Aileen!

al different ones, I was beginning to lose hope, and then we found Ed & Aileen. Thank goodness we found them. Because we were having a very small intimate wedding, we chose to just have 1 photographer in the church with us which was Aileen. She was really easy to work with, she was organized, prompt, and definitely gave the proper attention to the details that were important to us for her to capture on our wedding day, 10/24/20. We cannot thank her enough for the incredibly beautiful photos she took. The candid shots are my absolute favorite because we can see the joy and love in our eyes. I cannot wait to make my wedding album and give photos as gifts to our family and friends. In Sincerest Thanks and Appreciation! Melanie & Jim

eautiful. You can tell how much thought and effort were put into the edits. So much talent!!!! Outside of their amazing skills, they are so fabulous to work with. One of the most responsive, organized, and accommodating vendors we had. Their work speaks for itself, but partnering with them throughout the wedding process was also such a pleasure. Thank you Ed & Aileen team for the best wedding (& engagement!) photos!!!!!

er work! She has a genuine and down to earth personality that really put us at ease. During all of the crazy Covid cancelling and rescheduling, Ed was extremely supportive, professional, and flexible. Aileen even surprised us at our wedding and helped out for a couple of hours. She is amazing. We are thrilled with our wedding photos and can't stop looking at them. They perfectly capture the extra special day we finally got to have. We are so happy we got to work with Ed & Aileen + Chelsea.

about our first professional photo shoot, but with Ed & Aileen it was a very relaxed and fun experience. The photos look amazing and really capture our excitement and happiness together. Unlike many other vendors, Ed & Aileen were proactive about reaching out to clients to discuss the impact of COVID, and offered flexible solutions that prioritized their already-booked clients. They have been kind and compassionate in a very difficult situation, and we can't thank them enough. We will absolutely be returning to Ed & Aileen for any of our future photography needs!

d shot our engagement photos and Aileen shot our wedding. Both of which gave us photos we will cherish for the rest of our lives! Ed met with us prior to our engagement shoot to discuss vision and we instantly felt comfortable and excited to work with him. We had bad luck with weather during our scheduled shoots and he was more than accomodative to reschedule. We met with Aileen prior to the Wedding to discuss our vision and plan for the big day. She was very organized and asked all of the right questions. On the day of the wedding, Aileen and her assistant were on time and ready to go. They worked well with all of the other vendors and helped us stay organized and on time. I don’t know what I would have done without Aileen as she was always thinking three steps ahead :) `They are very talented and know how to get the right candids, poses, angles, and lighting. Ed and Aileen are amazing! We highly recommend them and would use them again if we could to do it all over again!

o know each other). We knew from that moment, and even before, that they were perfect! My husband and I took our engagement pictures at Montrose Harbor/Beach with Aileen and our mouths nearly hit the floor when we got them back. They were amazing! She made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire time and quickly got us to loosen up and have fun. Our wedding pictures were even more beautiful. Honestly, our only regret was not having them cover the entire day. The pictures captured such raw moments throughout the day and night. Ed and Aileen treat their clients like family and we will be forever grateful to have shared our wedding day with them!

ay. Choosing a photographer was one of the most difficult decisions we had throughout the wedding process. As a couple who lives on Instagram, we wanted our pics/video to not only be post-worthy but to capture who we are and allow us to re-live our wedding day forever. And OH MY GOD did they deliver. Ed, Aileen and their team are beyond talented, professional and fun to work with. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which we thought would be an impossible task. As soon as we got our engagement pics back we knew we made the best decision ever. We can’t even begin to explain how easy they made our wedding day. They were so organized and made bridal party pics a BLAST. At the end of the night we were so impressed with how much they were on the dance floor with us, yet didn’t feel like they were in the way once. Our pictures and videos are absolutely DIVINE. We are so obsessed and can’t stop looking at them. We don’t know how they do it but they way they edit pictures makes them stand out from the rest. Every photo in our gallery can be described as epic or dreamy. And we have the best candid shots EVER. We had SO many people reach out to us to say how incredible our pictures turned out. And we could not agree more. If we have one piece of advice for anyone planning a wedding, it would be INVEST in Ed & Aileen. They are worth every freaking penny!! :)

shoot taken before, so we were a little nervous before taking our engagement photos. Aileen made it so fun, by the end we forgot there were tons of people staring at us! My favorite thing about Ed & Aileen Photography is their knack for candid shots. They are all about the fun and just being yourself. This is what sold us on them, the second we saw their photos we knew we HAD to work with them. Planning anything with them was super simple and easy. No waiting around for days or weeks at a time to get a response. They were by far our favorite vendors. So much so that 2 of my friends are using them for their weddings next year! USE ED & AILEEN PHOTOGRAPHY, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! They are modern day photography super heros! We love you guys!! Thank you so much for capturing our big day. We are so incredibly grateful to have these amazing photos and videos to look back on for the rest of our lives <3

throughout our engagement session and wedding. They have a fantastic eye for the perfect shot, and they were able to capture some incredible candid moments during our ceremony and reception! We highly, highly recommend them!

ortable from the start. The quality of the photos are excellent and perfectly capture our emotions throughout the day (she even caught a teardrop in midair!). Our photos have a very pure, authentic feel to them that you just don't get with every photographer. Aileen was also extremely helpful in forming and managing our wedding timeline as well as providing guidance on photo locations. We couldn't recommend her enough!

d unique. For example, they told all my groomsman to do some weird shit to me, and it ended up turning into all of them picking me up and lifting me into the air. The joy they captured in those pics will something I'll never forget, and I'm not sure how they made it happen. They also do a great job of keeping people on task and in line. It's not easy with all the moving pieces, but Aileen was so good at keeping everyone focused so we could . move on and keep the pics flowing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Aileen. We got lucky that Ed was available to shoot our two day affair, plus Jamie came along for day two. Ed was easy to get along with, but also professional & courteous—even our bridal party noticed how kind and efficient Ed and Jamie were at rallying the party. We had a blast shooting our engagement photos with him. He also made himself available for a call days before our wedding when we needed to come up with a rain plan. Thankfully we did not need it, but it brought us a sense of peace to have a backup. We recently got our sneak peak post wedding and it was a blast reliving the day/emotions in each photo. We LOVE every photos and can’t wait for the rest! 11/10 would highly recommend!

y, and still manages to be incredibly detail-oriented and organized which we super appreciated! Especially for my now husband, since taking pictures is not his favorite thing. For our wedding day, it was really important to us to have genuine, candid moments captured and avoid cheesy, posed pictures. THEY HIT THE NAIL ON HEAD!! We were SO pleased to see the emotions they captured and have them edited so BEAUTIFULLY without looking over-edited or vain! Overall, we spent a large chunk of our budget on our photographer and would recommend any couple to do the same. Talented photographers have a way of making the less expensive aspects of the day look luxurious! Ed & Aileen are exceptional, and from our experience we would say their talent overflows onto their associates as well! We cannot say enough about how much it means to have SO MANY amazing photos to remember our wedding from. If you are still deciding between two or three photographers, take this as a sign to go with the E&A team!

eep everyone and everything moving on schedule. I was a total dunce about everything and they kindly answered every one of my questions. I love that they include engagement shoots in their wedding packages because it was a really wonderful way to get to know them and get more comfortable with the camera. And let's talk about the photos. Holy cow. I swipe through all of them several times a day and they make me smile and occasionally cry every time. All of the photos look so natural and I feel like they really captured who we are. They are truly stunning. Photography was one of our highest priorities for our wedding because it's one of the pieces you get to keep forever! I feel so lucky to have worked with them and to have these incredible photos.

ith! We primarily worked with Ed throughout our engagement shoot and at our wedding, and he was so professional and really put us at ease so we could relax and be ourselves. He also has a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun to work with! The day of our wedding, Ed kept everything running smoothly and ahead of schedule. We were able to get some amazing shots on the LaSalle Street bridge right before it started pouring. I don't know which weather app he uses, but we were able to dodge the rain perfectly and still get some amazing pictures. He came up with a Plan B seemingly on the spot! Also, pictures can notoriously take a long time, and he and his team did an incredible job getting ahead of schedule (with rain, too!). Not only will you end up with beautiful documentary-style photos of your wedding/engagement shoot, but you will also feel like YOURSELF. Some of our favorite pictures were unexpected ones of us just being ourselves. Ed & Aileen deliver beautiful photos. But they capture the real heart of the event, too, and it takes a real artist to do that. Cannot recommend more highly!

fun. They are true professionals in their art of photography and incredibly personable individuals that we feel lucky to have met.

happy to have them as our photographer!

your obviously amazing photos, you are professional, caring, thorough, thoughtful, experienced, nuanced, intuitive, patient, flexible... You know how to anticipate potential issues and organize people to get the very best results. We are SO grateful that you were willing to photograph our wedding last July and will be enjoying your pictures for the rest of our lives together!

did not let this stop them and still moved forward with our first look shots. They advised us to purchase clear umbrellas ahead of time which we did and we will were able to have a first look and outdoor ceremony shots. Ed and Aileen do not let any time go to waste and their professionalism is really what saved the day. From helping groomsmen put on their boutineers to taking outdoor shots in the rain they pulled it off without any hesitations. We cant thank them enough and cant wait for the final photos to post them up on this review. Maybe a couple sneak peeks if you could =P

. We absolutely hate it. From the moment we first sat down with Ed and Aileen to discuss our wedding plans, we felt so comfortable and at ease with them. They are lovely, personable people who are easy to get along with and pose for. Our first session with them was our engagement shoot, which I was very nervous for. It ended up being a breeze because Ed and Aileen know exactly what to do to make you feel comfortable and to get beautiful shots. On the day of our wedding, Aileen was so sweet with me leading up to the ceremony. They obviously love what they do, and their passion is reflected not only in the amazing photos that they take, but the care that they give their clients. Just stop looking for a photographer and hire Ed and Aileen. It will be the best choice you made regarding your wedding.

efuse. I took a chance on them and it was the best decision ever made for our wedding. They took our engagement photos as well when they were out this way for another wedding, so we had got to know them a bit prior to the big day. I didn't really have any specific shot requests (minus wanting some detail shots of things I made) because I wanted them to just do their thing. They captured every important moment, plus ones I could have never even dreamed of. I found myself wondering how they managed to get certain photos, like many of our guests mid-laugh and having the time of their lives, since I know they couldn't be everywhere at all times. Their talent goes unrivaled and it's clear they have an absolute passion for capturing couples and their guests on one of the best days of their lives. I will never hire anyone else for photos (maternity, newborn, you name it) but Ed & Aileen again. Incredible, creative work.

the wedding pictures so much fun. They knew how to improvise and work with different lighting due to the rain, were totally fine getting soaked with us, and honestly the pictures we’ve received are unreal. They were snapping pictures all night, but never felt in the way by any means. Most importantly, they worked with us and communicated to make sure they got all the shots we wanted. They sent the sneak peek less than a week after the wedding and the pictures are phenomenal. We’ll update our review when we receive all the pictures, but could not imagine giving them anything less than 100 stars. Just book them!

tant choices to my husband and myself when it came to wedding planning. We wanted amazing photos to be able to relive our wedding day. Ed and Aileen did just that. Not only are they down to earth, they capture the most authentic moments from throughout the day. Everyone raves about how beautiful our photos are from our wedding day! We cant thank Ed and Aileen enough!!

tmas cards, Ed & Aileen make us feel comfortable in front of their cameras, capture some very unique and touching moments, and always deliver beautiful work.

take absolutely amazing pictures and are the nicest, most down to earth couple. I love that they capture so many candid moments but also take some of the traditional shots as well. I wanted a photographer that was going to show the love between my husband and I but also focus on our guests. Aileen did that and so much more (plus she dealt with my crazy, huge family)! They are truly talented at what they do. I highly recommend Ed and Aileen!

ceived our pictures, everything was just easy with them. We felt like we have been friends for years which made us (a camera shy couple) feel so comfortable with them and confident when taking the pictures. People have not stopped raving about our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures still! Their ability to capture the genuine moment in such a talented and artistic way is truly impressive. They really cared about making sure that we got the pictures we wanted and didn't look at our wedding as just "another wedding". They are so knowledgeable with the different areas around the city and suburbs so don't worry if you don't know where you want to take pictures, we put all of our trust in them the day of wedding to take us to locations they thought would be perfect and they nailed it! Book them now, I promise it will be one of the best decisions you make during the wedding planning process!

o's brutal temperatures. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I had the wedding planned in about 10 days with the exception of a few details. I agonized over our photography options for months. The resort gave us a list of three photographers. All very talented, but not the style I envisioned for our wedding day. With the help of Instagram hashtags I discovered dozens of photographers and sent out even more inquiries of availability, both in Chicago and Punta Cana. When I stumbled upon Ed and Aileen's Instagram feed, I knew I'd found what I wanted. "Do people even do that?" Luis' response when I told him I wanted to bring our own photographers to our destination wedding. I wasn't sure, but after our first meeting with Ed, Luis was sold and we bought their plane tickets that night. During the planning process, Ed and Aileen were super quick to respond to all e-mails and questions. We scheduled an engagement session here in Chicago. Ed and Aileen made us laugh instantly and I relaxed immediately. We had a blast walking around, laughing, getting to know one About a month before the trip we all got together for a beer. Aileen created a detailed itinerary down to the minute to ensure a stress free wedding day and gave us helpful tips for beautiful pictures. They even reached out to our videographers to swap stories and establish a relationship. It was important to me that Ed and Aileen have Day of information: Ed and Aileen are a Godsend as they work flawlessly as a team, communicating via walkie talkies to avoid an accidental bride/groom run-in. After putting on my dress, Aileen came up with the brilliant idea to do a first look with my dad. Completely unexpected, but a moment I will never forget. After the ceremony, they directed family portraits quickly and efficiently. No standing around smiling for hours, we were done in 30 minutes--thank you Aileen! Earlier in the weekend they scouted out the best locations for our newlywed portraits and from the few photos I've seen (attached), no one else would have created such perfect images. I swear their minds see differently. Its amazing. These two are incredible. They partied with us all night long and I'm so glad they did! Ed and Aileen are awesome people to be around, I thoroughly enjoyed their presence over the weekend and I know our guests did too! Two days later, I put on my wedding dress again and we slipped into the ocean at sunrise for a "trash the dress session." THERE ARE NO WORDS to describe how Ed and Aileen can take 45 minutes and capture the most stunning photos I've ever seen. The way they capture the light, they're bold and daring and I LOVE IT! So blessed to have had them. Words cannot express how grateful we are to these two for spending their time to capture our day. They were our wedding coordinators, sanity keepers, photographers and the best decision I made for our wedding! I don't know how they could get any better, but they're constantly seeking out mentors and opportunities to grow which says a lot about their character and desire to develop as photographers. I can't wait to see what happens for these two in the future. Glad I got the opportunity to work with them! We love you Ed and Aileen

at honestly (key word) to get to know us multiple times throughout the wedding planning process. From our first meeting over beers to talk about our vision and what we really wanted over the day to our final meeting to discuss locations, they were there throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, they were absolutely fantastic. They helped us navigate the multiple places we wanted photos and made sure we took photos that weren't like everyone elses. Our family and friends are raving about the photos that they've seen thus far and how they not only captured us, but also the beautiful city of Chicago. They were also incredibly flexible to work with. We weren't keen on the idea of engagement photos, so they were kind enough to exchange it for an extra hour of photography, which was key given that we had wedding festivities going on from 9 a.m. - 12 a.m.! Seriously, I cannot recommend them enough.

ow just how to capture your big day. They feel like friends you've known forever and fit right in with your bridal party. And the results from their shooting, is beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to capture their big day.
