Drop The Mic Entertainment

ss and easy. I got so many compliments on how friendly he was at the event and that he played the most amazing mix of music. He started the evening off with some classics and as the night progressed and the older crowd started heading out, he played the more recent mixes. He read the room perfectly and kept the dance floor full all night! It was perfect and I cannot reccomend them enough!

ayne was our DJ, and he met with us multiple times beforehand to iron out how we wanted both the ceremony and the reception to go and they both went perfectly! Highly recommend Drop the Mic, our wedding was a party and couldn’t have been done without them!

one of our vendors we didnt have to worry about Willie was on top of everything.

e ability to mix songs and WIllie nailed it. So many of our guests raved about his mixes and the night in general. People who had planned on leaving early stayed a little longer because the music was so good. Ive been to many weddings and never seen a better DJ. Our night was so stress free because or Drop The Mic!

amazing - he checked in with us, was communicative, and really took initiative and rolled with the punches when we had some technical issues early on. All in all a great experience and we highly recommend them. Thank you for helping us create such a magical and memorable event!!!

massive hit! Best I could ever ask for!

emorable and with no issues whatsoever! They are also very affordable for those on a budget!

needed to be, and kept everyone dancing. We all wanted to keep dancing!

d amazing music. We will be using them from now on!

smoothly, the dj made sure we knew exactly what was going on all night.

. If you need a DJ and want to have a good time, call Mr. Hooper!

t and pick the type of music and specific songs for the event. The DJ made the who reception run smoothly and kept it all rolling. Super charismatic and fun! I would highly recommend them!

s company named Mark. Mark seemed very knowledgeable about being a DJ on the phone and so I had no doubt everything would be fine. Unfortunately, we did not receive the quality we were hoping for. I have never written a mediocre review before and honestly feel terrible doing this but it is my job to be honest. Music for the ceremony went off with no issue, it was the reception where things got a little off. We requested classical music for our dinner but he played movie scores that just didn't match the vibe of a fancy dinner. I was pulled away for pictures and stuff and while I was not in the reception hall he played a bunch of stuff that we did not ask for. My thought process in making a must play and maybe play list was that those were songs my guests would enjoy dancing to even if me and my spouse were taking pictures elsewhere. Instead he just played a lot of older music and no one was really dancing all that much. We requested an anniversary dance which did not occur, but that may be on our side because we were pulled out for pictures. Maybe all of this was just a misunderstanding but it made me very sad hearing that my guests went and asked him multiple times to change the music and he didn't. When my spouse and I returned from pictures he finally started playing songs we had requested, but occasionally there were remixes of requested songs instead of the original. Also every line dance song got played basically in a row, when only one of them was a must play, I would've rather heard more songs that I wanted vs the Electric Slide for 7 minutes. Honestly you know its bad when I would have rather heard the songs I put on my do not play than what he was playing, at least they were songs everyone would have known. Then he came up to us at the end saying the venue needed us out at 10 when we were supposed to be booked till 11:00. I have to check with my venue to see if that was a misunderstanding on my part but it ended my wedding very anti-climatically where I only got to dance for like an hour and barely got any songs we had asked to hear and then it was over, he said we had to play the last song right this minute. Everything at my wedding went off exactly as planned except for what was going on with the DJ and I just felt kind of disappointed with how it all went. Again I really hate to write anything negative, it just wasn't what I had expected and I wish there had been better communication between myself and Mark, but as the bride I was being pulled everywhere. I do feel though that the point of hiring professionals to do things for your wedding means you shouldn't have to worry and babysit them though, which is a shame because over the phone it really was presented that he knew what I wanted for my big day. I do not doubt Willie himself is a great DJ and he does run the business well and the prices are fair, but just make sure who you're getting if he is unavailable.

ring to life our wedding ceremony and reception. I cannot recommend Drop the Mic enough!

the day of. And of course played the best music. We decided to give him a few songs and let him do his thing and he nailed it!

ayed!

right. I really appreciate his professionalism, communication, and timeliness. He helped us stay on schedule and everyone had a great time!

ady given their number to 2 of my friends who are getting married.

ng day and really helped move the day along. He kept the event going while we took pictures and we are very grateful. He also played our favorite songs. He also took requests during the reception and played my in-laws wedding song, which made for a beautiful memory. We would recommend 5/5

of us even though we couldn’t have him there on our wedding day. I definitely recommend this vendor because they will take care of you!

face to face. Willie was patient and answered all our questions through phone calls and emails.

g of our wedding planning. He was accommodating with our requests and executed the music during our reception exactly how we had pictured it. He also helped to move us along when we were falling behind schedule during the reception. Our guests had a fantastic time, and we will always look back on our reception with the fondest of memories because of Willie. Highly recommend Drop the Mic—don’t use anyone else!!!

eption on track. Don't hesitate, just book him.

ere was something for everybody. Even got my parents on the dance floor--quite an achievement. Offered a webpage that allowed us to easily create "must-play," "play, time-permitting," and "do not play" lists. Honored our wishes of no Celine Dion and no country, probably against the pressure of many of our guests.

.

im, to the last sit-down to finalize details, and all the communication in between. For the reception, he controlled the flow of the night and was flexible. And the cost was amazingly reasonable. Go with Willie and Drop The Mic!

sional. Even just 3 days before my wedding we had to change the venue from outdoors to indoors and they were very understanding and worked with us so much. I would 100% recommend them!

ear ago so it was important to have her as apart of the wedding. He didn't understand the Anniversary dance. I gave three stars because everything improved by the end of the night.

must play" songs, playing rap/hip hop music despite us asking for no rap. So I would just make sure you are very clear that the "must play" list is played if that's something you care about. That said, everyone had a good time.

because I was able to sit back and enjoy my wedding and focus on talking to guests. He most definitely knew what he was doing and every thing flowed together perfectly. Whenever he had a quick question (which wasn't often), he would wait patiently until I noticed :)

imely, and quick to respond. Highly recommend!!

hour music. He was very kind and attentive.

blend of thematic and popular songs to get people on the dance floor! I felt the price was very fair, and actually, a far better deal than what I've been quoted through other vendors. For the quality of service we received, we were very satisfied with our decision to go with Drop the Mic.

came to the day of, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was immediately clear he knew exactly what to do to help us keep everything running smoothly throughout the whole night. I was all over the place but he made sure to find me and check in before we had any major moments of the night. He was attentive the whole night and made sure everyone was always on the same page. Furthermore, we have had many compliments from guests on the music selection and the amazingly fun atmosphere. I would recommend Drop the Mic over and over again.
