Love is in the air... (By Dr Kelsey Graham)
The heart is not the best organ to represent love. Let me explain love.
We use symbols to paint a visual of love. Most commonly, that symbol is a heart. As we stand here, we see a lot of pleasing aesthetics and well-groomed, attractive people. Clothed in a way that is very pleasing to the eyes. Flowers, bouquets. Decorations. All the dressings. All the things we have grown to expect in this ritual we call a wedding. It all looks good. All around us, people see this symbol as representing love.
HEARTS. Two hearts joined. I love you with all my heart. Hearts galore!
We have all these parts down, right?
We have the aesthetics of love all together. Look at her dress! Isn't it the most gorgeous you have ever seen? Look at how handsome the groom is!!! What a lovely LOOKING couple.Yes we have all the superficial parts of love in place.
The heart…..However in reality the heart is not a good symbol to represent love. For the heart is an organ that expresses, really nothing. If we must use an organ of the body to represent love it should be the lungs. Because .. a whisper. When you answer the phone without looking at your caller ID and you hear that one voice. That unique, distinctive voice. You know. That voice that moves you so strongly is produced by air. Oxygen forced out of the lungs.
Breathless…..
The words I am using here today are words that you hear as I try to express the emotion of love, love between these two people- words produced because of my lungs. The influx of my voice is controlled by the amount of air I allow out of my lungs to form these words from my vocal cords. Vocal cords that are vibrated by the air from my lungs.
When two lovers press their faces close to each other, compressing their lips, mouth to mouth, the intimacy of that act is felt so deeply, not just by the flesh touchin, but also because of the exchange of oxygen, breath, air.
In fact, the purpose of the heart is to deliver oxygen to the other parts of the body, which is oxygen supplied by the lungs. The whisper of the words- I LOVE YOU! Softly spoken in the ear of your lover. The filling of the lungs with as much oxygen as they will hold so that you can cry out to the world. I LOVE THIS PERSON!
The lungs= the organ we use to show our love. The gasp of air we take when we first see or meet this one special person.
We seek to impress- with our words. We grope, grasping for the right words to use. Those who choose to write their own vows want to make certain they utter the words that are the most powerful, the most moving- and we strive to utter those words in a manner.

Having Kelsey as our wedding officiant was truly fate, as we share the same name! He brought such a unique and creative touch to our ceremony with the idea of a romantic time capsu...
le, which made the moment even more special and memorable.
Kelsey was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, ensuring that every detail was perfect. He made our ceremony personal and heartfelt, creating an atmosphere that we and our guests will cherish forever.
We highly recommend Kelsey to anyone looking for a thoughtful, creative, and professional officiant to make their wedding ceremony truly special.
Dr. Graham was our wedding officiant on 11/17/23. He did a great job and provided much guidance leading upto the day. We would highly recommend if you are in need of an officiant.

Dr. Graham was the officiant for me and my husband last week and he was fantastic! Dr. Graham had everyone laughing at the rehearsal and absolutely nailed the ceremony the next day...
. My husband and I were a bit clueless to the intricacies of a wedding but Dr. Graham guided us through each step of the rehearsal and ceremony. And instead of the mixing of the sands or candles, he suggested we write notes to each other and place them in a box with a bottle wine that we will open each year on our anniversary and repeat. We loved the idea! I can't recommend Dr. Graham enough, everyone at the wedding loved him and his level of guidance was astounding. We'll be personally recommending him to all of our friends and families!
Dr Kelsey did a wonderful job on our wedding back in June and really worked with us and even sat out in the heat for forever. Definitely recommend him 100% and his staff was great ...

ry word. I would not recommend their services in anyway and thankfully an officiant is not required in Alabama anymore to be married. You can have anyone marry you don’t waste your money just have someone in your family Or friends do it.
Dr. Graham and Catherine Marie are the absolute BEST!! Dr. Graham was our officiant and Catherine did our photobooth. Not only are they such a joy to be around, but they went abov...
e and beyond to make sure we were happy were their services. They are so flexible and completely wrote our ceremony outline for us - it was BEAUTIFUL. They did a fabulous job and kept track of our marriage license, photos from the photobooth, and our time capsule from the ceremony. We also asked Dr. Graham to do a premarital counseling session with us and we both found it so helpful. We took an online assessment and Dr. Graham printed out our results and talked us through every major marital aspect from the results. We were both a little nervous but Dr. Graham made sure that we were both happy and comfortable. Seriously if you hire them you will NOT regret it!!!!
Dr. Kelsey Graham and Catherine were phenomenal and saved our day at the last minute! We had two officiants back out the week before our wedding, back to back, and we were horrifie...
d we wouldn’t find someone who we could trust. We found Kelsey on TheKnot and emailed him, only to have him email back literally within minutes. He was willing to meet with us that night, and we ended up meeting him and Catherine the following night, in the pouring rain, after my shift ended at 7pm. They assured us they could help out and were more than happy to assist us in our ceremony script. We immediately felt like we had known them for a lifetime. Conversation was easy and they were very honest, helpful, and nonjudgmental. We left feeling like the previous upsets were actually blessings in disguise. Kelsey and Catherine were both present for our rehearsal dinner and helped us map out the ceremony at the venue. Kelsey was phenomenal at our wedding ceremony and made it into exactly what we wanted. He welcomed everyone with loving arms and made us feel like we were family. He is very professional and knows the ins and outs of weddings without making it feel like his “job.” You can tell he loves what he does and it shows in his presentation.
We loved him and his team. Very nice and fun loving. Made every effort to personalize the ceremony to us as a couple. And ran our reception smoothly. Very happy we chose him.
Stay away from this guy. He insulted my 8 year old son and just look at his Facebook page and you will see how full of hate he is. I wish I never wasted my money on him. Please don...

nd luckily found Dr. Graham online. Catherine Marie served as our wedding coordinator as well and was a lifesaver. For our ceremony, Catherine Marie sent a script over and asked us lots of questions to figure out what style of ceremony we wanted. We edited the script with readings special to us or found online and sent back, and Dr. Graham delivered a lovely ceremony that we received tons of compliments on. I'm thankful we found these two!
We also used Dr. Graham for our DJ service. He DJ's himself, and the service was less than half the going rate for professional DJ's in the area. The sound quality & announcements were not top notch to be honest, but it really didn't matter. They have almost any song you could want, played a good mix of our favorites and popular wedding songs, and everyone danced and had a fantastic time.
Our day turned out amazing even with all the little mishaps! Catherine was an angel from fixing our wedding cake to making sure the best pictures were taken. Dr. Graham even had a ...
wonderful surprise at the end of the day. Catherine took the most amazing photos and we never felt rushed. We took our time and enjoyed every moment of our beautiful day! I would highly recommend to anyone! Our vows were so special and customized just for us! They worked with us every step of the way! 😀🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

ing we wanted. We ended up using Mr. Travis Jordan after an emergency in Dr. Graham's family and he did awesome. He didn't once mess up a word or saying. He was straight to the point. He showed up to rehearsal to make sure he knew what he needed to say and how we wanted it to be said. Dr. Graham and his staff are amazing and very easy to work with.

lready, but we needed an officiant, a photographer, and some kind of music. Dr. Kelsey Ministries provided all that at a very affordable price. We also used his linen service and the photo booth. Our script was personalized, just for us, and fit us to a tee. We wanted our wedding to stand out and be something that people would remember. People are still talking about it and yes I have recommended Dr. Kelsey to all my friends in the planning stages. My answer is YES, YES, YES he provided us more then a wedding day, he supplied us a lifetime of memories to cherish.

We hired Kelsey after meeting with him and being very happy with what he promised to provide. He was quite a bit more expensive than any other officiant we had met with ($400 compa...
red to the next highest at $200), but my husband and I aren't religious and couldn't find any others who would agree to read a speech without any mention of God. Kelsey said he would say exactly what we wanted and nothing more, and agreed to have a draft done a month before the wedding. He asked us to do some research and send him any phrasing we wanted to be included as well as any passages/readings, so we did.
A month before the wedding I hadn't heard from him and emailed him to see where he was with the speech. He said he hadn't started. The next day he emailed me "our speech" which didn't include any of the passages we asked for, and was filled with religious references. I am fairly certain that he just put our names into someone else's speech because he didn't have it ready on time.
When I responded and told him I was very unhappy with what he provided he wrote back saying that it was only a rough draft. I said that even if it was a rough draft it should have included all the things we had asked for, and he never responded. The next day (which was two weeks prior to the wedding) he emailed me to tell me that he was no longer able to provide officiant services at my wedding. I am POSITIVE that he bailed on our wedding because I called him out on not doing the job we were paying him for, which is ridiculous.
Kelsey is unprofessional and not at all worth the excessive amount he charges. I would not recommend him to anyone.
We weren't looking for the "traditional" wedding ceremony, and found Dr. Graham via an internet search. We're so glad we found him! We planned our wedding on our own, and it really...
helped to have someone with his experience and knowledge around. Dr. Graham was super nice, and very easy to work with. He gave us a unique ceremony that fit our style, and that we loved!
VERY highly recommended!
We didn't have Kelsey we had an associate pastor of his Sam. Sam was great. Our service was modern yet traditional and exactly what we wanted. He tailored the service to fit our ne...
eds and it was exactly perfect.
He's very easy to get along with and flexible. Great if you want a slightly less traditional wedding
Dr. Graham was a pleasure to work with and was very receptive to what my husband and I wanted our ceremony to be.
I found Dr. Graham on one of these wedding sites when I was searching for a minister to marry myself and my husband. I was skeptical at first because I had never met him and didn't...
know anyone who had used him before. I contacted him and it wasn't 5 minutes before he got in touch with me. My mom and I went to meet him and he was so nice and seemed to really care about what kind of wedding myself and my fiance wanted to have. We wanted a Christian ceremony and he was very helpful when it came to what to say and putting our ceremony together. On our wedding day he showed up on time, well dressed, and was very professional. He even stayed for the reception and blessed the meal (something I had not even thought to ask him to do). It was so nice and if I had it to do all over again I would still ask him to be our minister! I would recommend him to anyone getting married :)
Our wedding was beautiful and Kelsey was fantastic. He was very patients with us, especially since the groom isn't real good with English and the bride, while speaking only English...
is very shy and tongue tied. He helped us design the perfect ceremony, including a Sand ceremony for all our children and the Unity ceremony with our mothers. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding. Thank you Kelsey Graham!
Dr. Graham was booked for our wedding, but we used another one of his officiants, Rev. Chauma Gus. She was wonderful. We highly recommend them!
We loved Kelsey! He was super easy to work with and very accommodating with how we wanted to edit our vows & ceremony. He truly follows through with making it YOUR day. He was very...

ting our own ceremony and officiated in a delightful yet professional manner. He answered all of my emails and phone calls quickly and was easy to talk to. I can't imagine anyone else performing our ceremony!
Kelsey was a wonderful officiant who worked with us to perform the beautiful ceremony we wanted. He was kind, patient, and professional. We would recommend him to anyone looking ...
for someone to marry them.
Not only did my husband and I love having Kelsey be the one to marry us, everyone at our wedding also loved him! They could not stop commenting on how friendly and down to earth he...
was. Anytime I needed him he was there for me. He helped us figure our way through this entire process which was very unknown to us. He read our vows exactly as we asked him to and completely supported us in our decision to change the venue the day before the wedding. We will always remember and cherish Kelsey and could not have chosen a better officiant. We felt like we had known him forever! I will be keeping in touch with him for sure.
