neous moments), Doug was incredibly patient, thorough, and attentive during the entire event, which started with the getting ready photos and lasted until the end of the dancing. We also scheduled engagement photos with him and similarly enjoyed the entire experience, getting so many fantastic photos that we were able to use on our wedding website and our Save the Date cards. Despite our busy schedules, Doug was always very accommodating and prompt in communication with us and our wedding planner. We cannot recommend Doug enough!

s feel at ease when placing us in different poses and organizing the family. His photography experience also was helpful for guiding us through the civil ceremony process. We greatly appreciate the information on his website. It was helpful for planning the special day and the morning was timed out perfectly. The photographs are beautiful and more than we could ever ask for!! Plus, we received photographs just a few days after the ceremony!!! Highly recommend.

had told Doug at our engagement shoot that I was nervous about doing kissing photos but he made taking photos so natural and comfortable for me and my husband. His photos came back very fast and they looked phenomenal! He communicates very timely. He truly makes your dreams come to vision with his photography! We love Doug and we recommend him for anyone looking for the best photographer!

f capturing what's important without being seen. Phenomenal!! The finale product slide show, and the words along with the images, were unspeakably powerful. Crafted in such a way it told the True Story of a Once in a Lifetime Event. Choicing Doug are one of the Best Decisions we made. Beyond Highly Recommended.

He captured all the big moments (get ready, first looks down the aisle, vows, first dances) beautifully and caught a bunch of fun candids as well. He was somehow discreet (barely noticed him taking photos) but so thorough with all the shots he got! He even stayed a bit longer because some of our friends favorite songs came on and the dance floor was going wild. We received our photos back within two weeks and are so happy with the full experience that Doug provided. Would 100% recommend Doug to other couples!

letely at ease. On the wedding day, they managed to capture every special moment—big and small—without ever feeling intrusive. The photos are absolutely stunning. The way Doug plays with light, details, and emotion is incredible; every image tells a story. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again, and we’ll truly treasure these photos for the rest of our lives. Beyond their talent, Doug has such a warm, calming presence. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (which is not easy for us!) and even kept us laughing through the portraits. Our family and friends can’t stop raving about how beautiful and authentic the photos turned out. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who is not only exceptionally skilled but also kind, professional, and a joy to be around, look no further than Doug Miranda. They went above and beyond in every way, and we are forever grateful!

feel so comfortable and at ease! He gave us easy directions for posing and kept the photos fun. He is so easy to work with and we are so grateful to have worked with him. He was so kind to us and all of our loved ones. He also did our engagement and wedding photos, both of which are everything we could have hoped for! He is also very responsive and communicative, navigating family dynamics and still making sure every aspect of your wedding was captured. Doug is the best photographer, please do yourself a favor and hire him!

a vendor who is on top of things. Doug was communicative, professional, courteous, and punctual. He captured the photos on our list quickly so that we could enjoy our family and reception, but did not miss out on some absolutely beautiful candid shots throughout the day too. He had a smile on his face the whole day, and his demeanor was very calming and let me know that he had everything under control so we could enjoy the day. Doug told me that he would have our photos ready in a week or two following the event, but delivered the finish product within a few days. The photos were amazing! He under promised and over delivered at every turn. I will absolutely hire him again for my next event!

ations. I appreciated how he did an engagement photo shoot with us, which helped us get a good feel for how to take good photos. Come wedding day, the photos were better than I could have ever imagined. My husband and I are still in awe of what Doug managed to capture of us and our family and friends. - AMAZING communication. Doug is perhaps the most communicative person we have encountered in the wedding industry. This is not something to take for granted. Ever since our first phone call with him, he was super transparent and happy to discuss our ideas with us and give his professional thoughts. - Above and BEYOND dedication and professionalism. Doug scouted out our wedding site prior to our wedding day to help map out the best places ahead of time. This allowed us to get the absolute most out of our photography time day-of and resulted in absolutely breathtaking photos while saving us a ton of time. Due to him showing up prepared (and early might I add), we were able to get our dream photos.

thankful. He was very quick to get us our photos back and his editing skills are spectacular!! Will recommend him to all our friends who get married in the future!

ul information. On the day of the wedding, his friendly and easygoing attitude instantly put us at ease, which made the whole experience feel natural and stress-free. He blended into the day seamlessly while still capturing all the important moments. We were also so impressed with how quickly we received our photos—and they turned out beautifully! We’re so grateful to have such stunning memories to look back on. Highly recommend Doug to anyone looking for a professional, personable, and talented wedding photographer.

Doug was very friendly with our family and friends. He was professional and helpful throughout the process, expertly working his way through and around our guests to get a bunch of great pictures of both our ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer we’d highly recommend Doug Miranda Photography!

talked through different examples. He was receptive to any ideas and professional when some ideas just didn't work. The final results were stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. Beyond what I imagined. I am not exaggerating and I am grateful that all the work I put into organizing a detailed timeline was well-received by Doug. From what I can tell, he referenced it when capturing photos and again went above and beyond what I could have imagined. Aside from photography, he even helped pin my boutonniere, showed my friends how to do theirs, and just went above and beyond. How truly kind. We requested his photography for 8 hours and he committed 100%.

pose everyone in our post wedding ceremony photos as well as capturing candid shots during the reception! He captured our day better than we could've imagined and we are so thankful to have such beautiful, professional photos. We highly recommend Doug!

ely at ease. Despite the short notice, Doug was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and went above and beyond to make sure every moment of our special day was captured beautifully. On the day of the wedding, Doug was not only professional and punctual but also a true joy to have around. He had a great eye for every shot, balancing candid moments and posed portraits perfectly. The quality of the photos exceeded all our expectations – every picture was stunning and captured the emotion, love, and joy of the day. What also really impressed us was Doug’s incredibly fast turnaround time. We received our photos sooner than we ever expected, and they were all edited to perfection. We’re so grateful for his expertise and for the way he seamlessly blended into the celebration, making us feel comfortable and allowing us to enjoy every moment. If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, easy to work with, and produces exceptional work with lightning-fast turnaround, we highly recommend Doug! Thank you so much for capturing our day in the most beautiful way possible!

n unseasonably hot October day, and he made sure that everyone was comfortable while still getting all our family photos and keeping us looking natural. He did great at capturing the formal and in between moments. We cannot recommend him enough for any special moments you need to capture.

photography stood out, so I reached out to him. His communication skills and response time (whether via email or text/call), were great. He took our engagement photos, our wedding portraits, ceremony and reception photos. He got all the pictures back to us so quickly and they were incredible. He's so kind and explains everything so thoroughly. You truly feel comfortable, especially for someone like me who's not the best in the front of the camera. It was such a blessing to be able to work with Doug for our special day. Our pictures turned out so amazing. His talent and work exceeded our expectations. We can't thank him enough.

He communicated clearly and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. Super professional through and through. We also really appreciated his suggestion to arrive a little early and take care of photos BEFORE the big ceremony. It gave us way more time to spend with our friends and family on the big day. His wife, Christine, came to assist on the big day, and she was equally as professional. Many people commented after the wedding that the photos were not only fabulous, but FUN, which is what we specifically asked for (lots of candid shots). The guests also commented that they did not feel like Doug or Christine were invasive or demanding with photos, and they greatly appreciated how comfortable they made us all feel. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Sacramento area to book Doug for their own special day!

oug was so kind, fun, easy to work with, and professional. He knew our venue well and used that experience to get us the best pictures possible. Doug also got us our preview pictures and even our full wedding album back incredibly quickly. We had the absolute best time with Doug both at our wedding and for our engagement pictures. We were lucky enough to have his wife be the second photographer at our wedding, and she was also amazing. If you are looking for the perfect wedding photographer, look no further. Book Doug immediately!

y and clear. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and a pleasure to work with. He did a great job capturing both the little moments and more formal portraits. We definitely recommend Doug.

s so we've uploaded one of the incredible shots that Doug took during our mountaintop wedding in Tahoe for you to experience his magic. This is just one example of the many breathtaking gems he captured for us on both occasions. Doug has an incredible eye for lighting, and we're so glad we followed his lead on which locations/landscapes would look great in photos. Given the length of his experience in the industry, he also has strong depth in his range and we had so much diversity in angles and poses in our photos. We were worried we would be awkward at posing since we've not done professional photoshoots before, but Doug was so warm and his style put us at ease as he gave great direction on how to move for the camera. Prior to our wedding day, he also made sure to get a list of family members + poses to capture and executed flawlessly on making sure all these shots were captured; we're so grateful for his professionalism and kindness. Additionally, he turned around our photos very quickly. We highly recommend working with Doug!

came up. My groom and I secured his services at the end of November for our wedding at the start of April. We were of course stressed with the holidays, then the wedding planning, plus our very busy lives. We felt bad, constantly being slow to respond but he was so very patient with us, helpful with reminders but also keeping emails short and sweet. We also loved that he had a special for a free engagement session but of course we needed reminding, flexibility with scheduling, and ideas for where/how to do it. I knew I wanted nature in the photos since our wedding would be mostly indoors and he gave us some suggestions and encouraged us to take a look at some specific spots and get back to him. He had the perfect spots in mind, and at the engagement session we got to really know who are photographer was, professional but also really cool and relaxed. He had great poses and notes for us and yet somehow made it feel very natural for us. In the end he got some great shots, in color, in black&white, up close, further away, sweet and loving, and yet also showing us surrounded by all that nature was putting on display. After doing this session, I knew he would be great at the wedding and he was. And just a couple more check-ins, he was there, capturing photos we wanted and didn't even know we wanted, with the people we were sharing it all with. We love the photos and we highly recommend Doug Miranda as your photographer for both your engagement photos and your wedding photos!

at the Sacramento World Peace Rose Garden and our whole ceremony and reception at the Firehouse Restaurant in October 2023. He did an amazing job capturing everything that we asked for and more. We can't say enough about how easy Doug made our wedding day. He was always in sync with our other vendors at the Firehouse, and he worked with all our family members and guests perfectly. We would definitely recommend Doug to any couple looking for a photographer. - Jake & Katie

He effortlessly blended into the festivities, capturing candid moments that truly reflected the essence of our celebration. In the face of unexpected delays in our schedule, Doug displayed remarkable patience and professionalism. His adaptability ensured that every significant moment was beautifully documented, showcasing his dedication to delivering top-notch service. We highly recommend Doug to anyone in search of a wedding photographer who not only captures breathtaking images but also contributes to the positive and unforgettable atmosphere of the day.

otos, every aspect of our interaction was marked by professionalism, creativity, and a genuine passion for capturing the essence of our special day. Doug's portfolio spoke volumes about his talent, but it was the personalized touch the brought to our wedding that truly set him apart. Every shot felt thoughtfully composed, capturing not just the moments but the emotions that made our day unique. Communication was seamless throughout the entire process. Doug was attentive to our wishes and offered valuable suggestions, creating a collaborative atmosphere that put us at ease. Not only did Doug deliver breathtaking photos, but he also demonstrated a level of professionalism that made the entire process enjoyable and stress-free. His commitment to excellence was apparent from start to finish. In addition, he exhibited a warm and friendly demeanor that made working with him seamless. If you're searching for a photographer who goes above and beyond to capture the magic of your special day, Doug is the artist you've been looking for. I wholeheartedly recommend him. Thank you, Doug, for making our wedding unforgettable!

y going. He was considerate of our culture & ensured my husband & I were comfortable. He went above & beyond in capturing candid photos. His work is high quality & service is excellent. He worked really well with all of our vendors. My husband & I are are so thankful to have had him on our wedding day.

so I was nervous that we didn't get a change to "get to know eachother". Well, that didn't matter. Like most normal people, we weren't super comfortable being in front of the camera all day, but Doug gave subtle guidance when needed ("put your hand in your pocket", "check your posture", "relax :)") and I think that really helped. He was everywhere yet no where at the same time- he managed to capture so many amazing shots, many of which I didn't even realize were being photographed until he sent us the final photos (literally 10 days later!). He was also very helpful in finalizing our timeline, as I figured he had a good idea of as a photographer how long the getting ready photos take, how long we would need for our vows on a hilltop nearby, and when we needed to be pulled away for golden hour.

t to do and where to be, all while having a great energy. The photos came out better than we can imagine. He totally knew what to do for every event at the wedding and also knew our venue very well. Cannot recommend Doug enough!

selves throughout the photo shoots and he caught some amazing pics as a result. Super prompt with communications and the turnaround for our wedding photos was extremely quick. Highly recommend Doug for engagement and wedding photos.

re, and I couldn't possibly recommend him enough! I'll definitely be using him again in the future!!

tographer" - My brother told me this after the wedding . This is the highest compliment and your sign you should hire Doug Miranda. We knew we made the right decision from the start. Doug was incredibly responsive and he was easy to book. Our January engagement photoshoot was great. He even got great photos of our dog! Doug was magnificent during the wedding. He got great getting ready photos, helped us figure out the best locations for our first look and formal photos, and was outstanding at getting ceremony, speeches, dinner, special dances, and regular dancing photos. I was so incredibly happy with the formal photos. Doug would kindly ask us to turn in a way that got us great shots. After the formal photos, Doug got INCREDIBLE photos in an unobtrusive way. He got all these shots during the ceremony that I had no idea he was taking. For the rest of the wedding, he was fast-acting, got the most fun dancing shots, and was overall amazing. Finally, Doug was fast with getting the photos - we got hundreds of photos less than a week after our wedding. They were all amazing.

tures and helping formulate a game plan in advance. At the same time he approached everything from an angle of what did we want, and he was very unobtrusive the day of the wedding. He got terrific photos, some really wonderful portraits and great dance shots at the reception. He was also really flexible when one of us had a medical issue that might have affected the wedding date and worked with us in the interim. After the wedding he had photos back to us inside a week. Speaking as two people who don't love having our photos taken normally, we *Love* the photos he took of us. He is a great guy both as an artist and a vendor. We can't recommend him enough!

came across Doug’s website and remembered I had met him already and loved the pictures he took at my friend’s wedding. I contacted him and after confirming he was available on our wedding date, we booked him! Doug was able to take our engagement photos and our wedding day photos. Engagement session was on THE hottest day of the year in June and the wedding was on THE coldest night of the year in December. Despite the extreme temps, Doug had the coolest calmest temperament. This was extremely important to me especially on the day of my wedding. You spend so much of your day with your photo/video people. My highest priority with all of my vendors was making sure they didn’t stress me out more than I needed to be and Doug definitely made the process enjoyable. I’m not a very picture-takery person. I don’t know what to do with my hands! His directions were great and we felt comfortable. I appreciated that he scheduled a phone call before the wedding date to go over all our preferences, wish-list pictures, logistics, etc. We weren’t sure if it was going to rain the day of so he had come up with some contingency plans. We were also so happy with the planning and recon he did beforehand for the first look location, it took a lot off my plate. Second shooter on the Wedding Day, Wendy, was great as well! We are so happy with the photos taken, we couldn’t ask for much more!

specially as we experienced some difficulties with our venue search. Every interaction with him was very professional and he made taking photos fun for us! We had our first shoot with him for our engagement photos. We had a great time and the photos came out so well that we had Doug do our family photos at a local park so that our family was familiar with him prior to our wedding. On our wedding day Doug was prompt and organized. He and his assistant kept us on schedule, even making up some time. He took beautiful photos and had them back to us incredibly quickly (on our honeymoon). Doug is definitely well known in the Sacramento wedding scene, as our officiant, DJ, and videographer all knew him from past events. We highly recommend Doug!

recent snow storm that dropped about 4 feet of snow in a day. Doug was wonderful and captured some of the best photos of our guests in the hall and wedding party in the snow. He was more than willing to brave the blizzard to capture great shots which turned out fantastic. Even after we told him to head out to make a safe drive, he returned to have us come back outside for a few more pictures that turned out to be some of our favorites. He is a talented photographer with such a wonderful attitude. 10 out of 10 on all fronts. Thank you!!!

eshow we will have to look back at for the rest of our lives! I know we have visioned a fall wedding and was so excited about fall in Tahoe, but the man above had other plans for the day. I never thought I would be getting married in a little snow storm, it was definitely one to remember! I literally felt like I was in a snowglobe or a hallmark movie, it was incredible and I’ll never forget it. I want to THANK YOU for sticking it through the weather conditions and capturing our wedding photos in the snow, wind etc. I know shooting in those conditions aren’t always easy, so I really appreciate everything you did in making our day memorable! The pictures are STUNNING and I can’t wait to share them with family friends, incredible work! I’m so glad you got to experience our hallmark wedding and capture those moments, I hear it’s pretty rare lol! I would like everyone to know they won’t be disappointed with Doug Miranda Photography, he really knows his stuff and really takes the time to make sure he captures the best shots for the wedding day! He did an incredible job with our photos, 10/10/100/100!!! We couldn’t have been happier with how our wedding photos turned out! We wish you the best Doug! THANK YOU!!! Sarah & Alex

at our venue and knew he would scout out the best locations for our photos. The entire process was made smooth because of Doug's friendly demeanor and clear communication. He answered all of our questions with grace and patience and is very quick to reply to email. Most of Doug's wedding packages include a brief engagement session which was nice because it allowed us to get to know him and become comfortable with his shooting style before our big day. The photos turned out great and we could rest easy for 9 months knowing we made the right decision. On the wedding day, Doug brought his wife Christine along as his second shooter. They worked efficiently, capturing every detail of our day as our vendors set up and the bride and groom got ready. They also miraculously captured my entire family smiling in one picture, and were willing to work with my VERY scared and squirmy dog. Despite the brutally cold wind forcing our fall event indoors, we managed to capture some of the most stunning outdoor portraits after the ceremony, especially since they were willing to hike us up the side of a mountain to get my dream photos on a boulder in front of Lake Tahoe. Doug and Christine make an excellent team and they even felt like our guests, posing for some Polaroids we had set out for our friends and family to use throughout the reception! Our photos were processed and returned within a record 6 days!!! We feel so lucky to have had Doug Miranda Photography as an integral part of our best day ever. Thank you for making our wedding photography dreams come true!!

until we were finally able to have our wedding reception on October 9, 2022. He was very thoughtful in capturing all parts of our wedding and we are so thrilled with the final product. Doug helped us to be at ease during the special day and made wedding photography a stress-free aspect of planning and the event itself. We recommend Doug and would gladly use him again.

fessional. He is the perfect person for the job. Doug absolutely knows his craft, and I am thrilled that we landed him as the photographer for our wedding. The brilliant photographs that Doug took are something that I will always cherish- he did an amazing job capturing our day. It was immediately apparent that Doug has a keen eye for details and did an excellent job putting everyone in the right spot to capture the best photographs. Doug did this with ease and with efficiency. Our families and I enjoyed chatting with him as he seemingly effortlessly arranged our families together for post-ceremony photographs. After the wedding he was very generous with his time and chatted with us. Within a matter of days he provided us with hundreds of photographs and negatives neatly organized into an online photo album for immediate viewing and download. We were blown away by his work, the photography was simply perfect. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, selecting Doug Miranda is an easy choice. Professional, easy to work with, kind, funny, and produced better wedding photographs than we could have ever imagined. Give him a call.

he wedding day so that we were all on the same page. He also responds quickly via email. On the wedding day, Doug took many great photos, both classic wedding phots and candid shots of guests and family members before and during the day. He gave suggestions on how to get the best shots and they all turned out great! He sent the photos within one week and even made a video slideshow of the best pictures.

o let us bring our dogs along for the first look :). He captured the spirit of our wedding wonderfully! Also, we found out later that he has some personal stress going on during the wedding, but he was so calm and focused that we didn't pick up on it at all. You can count on Doug!

day. He was so fun and made the each photo session so relaxing enjoyable. My Husband was super nervous and Doug was able to help bring out his goofy side and kick back a little. Seriously though you will not be disappointed at all with choosing Doug Miranda as your photographer!
