and understanding of the situation. When we arrived it was literally like a whole taste testing of their menu. So much amazing food.  2. I personally wanted to add a creative appetizer. Donatellis worked with me in creating this and made it come to life. They were also super accommodating with cutting and serving our wedding cake that was not from Donatellis themselves. This helped alleviate stress of finding someone to cut and serve our cake.  3. Food was a 10000/10. We had the mac and cheese and tortaloni and it was spectacular! We had a guest from Italy who also said that pasta was great. Everyone we asked said the food was really good (we are still enjoying our leftovers)  I will say Donatellis really isn’t close to where we live but since finding out about them we have traveled to eat there a couple times now and try out other food on their menu. So so so so so good. If you’re wanting a pasta dinner for your wedding I highly recommend contacting them.

l was amazing to work with throughout the planning process, always quick to respond and on top of every detail. Chris led our tasting and was so professional and knowledgeable, helping us create the perfect menu for our guests. And wow — the food! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was, especially the Cajun tortellini, which was a huge hit. The day-of staff was so friendly and efficient, keeping the buffet line moving smoothly so everyone was served quickly. They even went above and beyond by helping us cut our wedding cake (which was made by a friend). If we could do it all over again, we’d choose Donatelli’s every single time!

was a huge priority. I had eaten at Donatelli’s in St. Paul before and never once gotten sick, so I knew right away they were the first place I wanted to reach out to when planning our wedding. From the start, they blew us away. At our tasting, every single dish was out of this world—it was honestly tough to narrow it down to just two entrées because everything was so delicious. Even the salads were incredible, and their gluten-free buns? Absolutely amazing! I’ve always thought pasta is one of the best foods to make gluten-free, and Donatelli’s proved me right—their gluten-free noodles were perfection and totally undetectable from regular pasta. On the wedding day, their food spoke for itself. Guests raved about both entrée options (our red sauce pick: Lasagna, and our white sauce pick: Cajun Chicken Tortellini—available gluten-free). People had such a hard time deciding between them because both were mouthwatering! Beyond the food, Donatelli’s went above and beyond with service. The staff was thoughtful, professional, and so attentive—they treated us like royalty at the head table, making sure we had everything we needed for our very first meal as husband and wife. What also really stood out to me was how well they handled dietary restrictions. Not only did they take care of me with gluten-free options, but they also accommodated our guests who needed dairy-free and vegan meals. That kind of care and flexibility made such a difference and allowed all of our guests to enjoy the meal without worry. I cannot recommend Donatelli’s enough. Their food is phenomenal, their staff is top-notch, and their attention to detail made our wedding meal absolutely perfect. If you need a caterer—especially if you’re looking for gluten-free options—you will not regret choosing Donatelli’s!

or you to look at. At the wedding, the wait staff made an announcement on how the buffet was going to work and were diligent in it running smoothly! They checked in on how myself and my husband were doing frequently as well throughout dinner. The food was DELICIOUS and we received so many compliments, some saying it was the best wedding food they've had. The bar snacks and late night pizza included in the package were a hit too. The only downside is that we didn't have any leftovers like we expected- probably because it was so good! Thank you for your excellent service and feeding us and our guests so well!

There were plenty of options for our vegan, vegetarian, gluten free guests etc. The gelato was delicious!! Donatelli’s was affordable and great quality!!! Highly recommend.

We couldn’t decide which gelato flavors we wanted so the team let us come in to the store and take home small batches of every sample. It shows how much they go above and beyond. AMAZING!

Her team was friendly, responsive and overall attentive. Our guests could not say enough great things about the food and really appreciated the menu of items for them. We received numerous compliments that this was the best wedding food they had. We even had multiple people who asked how they could get more after the wedding. We even had a guest who shared that their kids don't like eating veggies, but the roasted veggies were not left on their plates. If you want a painless process with your caterer that will not break your bank, you need to stop here first.

We were impressed both by the professional presentation and how well the buffet was executed with more than enough food for everyone to get 2nd and 3rds-which we were told by many of our guests they did. The #1 thing on my wedding “want" list was good food, and man did Donatelli’s deliver! We cannot thank the whole crew enough for making it so smooth and taste so great. We look forward to many return trips to the restaurant in the future to enjoy their food!

rish and her team managed our event with absolute professionalism and grace. Our event was held in Sept. 2021 and the food was top notch and the service impeccable! Our guests continue to rave about the delicious food. Donatelli's also managed all of the special dietary requests beautifully (the gluten free guests were thrilled with the delicious options.) I highly recommend serving their gelato for dessert and ordering small, bite sized desserts to accompany it instead of serving a standard wedding cake. The gelato was an absolute hit! We are 100% happy with our choice of Donatelli's as our caterer and would recommend them every time.

They have many more options than what we had - come ready to eat if you have a tasting. It’ll be almost impossible for you to choose! At the end of the dinner, we had Donatelli’s cater in some of their raspberry sorbet. It was a hit - not only because it was a great palette cleanser, but because it was DELICIOUS! Our wedding had multiple people with dietary restrictions and Donatelli’s handled it superbly. I felt a sigh of relief when I knew Donatelli’s was able to feed EVERYONE at my wedding! When we had to cancel our reception due to the peak of COVID cases and government restrictions, we did have a deposit with them- so instead of that being a total loss, Trish put together food for our rehearsal dinner. It was the same food we were going to have for our rehearsal dinner. It was great food and such AMAZING service during a difficult time! We absolutely will continue to go here for dinner to support this community restaurant for their delicious food AND the compassion and service they showed during a very difficult time. THANK YOU!

With Covid we had to downsize and change serving up differently and Donatelli's had no problem being flexible working with us throughout that process. The food is INCREDIBLE - you can't go wrong with any pasta and their braised beef and late night pizza was raved about from our guests! They were very accommodating for dietary restrictions.
