day. Unfortunately, I did not get the experience I had hoped for when booking DJ Rell Miles. I booked in April 2024 for my October 2025 wedding. Every interaction I had with him was great. I will give him credit for his professionalism, and for his general knowledge of the venue I got married at. However, fast forward to weeks before my wedding, I had yet to hear from him so I reached out so I could get him the details for the music I wanted at the wedding. I sent over direct links to Spotify and laid it out as simply as I could. A couple of days later I received a message that there was somehow a scheduling conflict, but Terrell assured me he had found me a replacement DJ for my wedding and he would take care of all of it. Which is why this negative review ultimately falls on him. He vouched for DJ Tree, and I decided not to argue, because at that point what other option did I have? I booked with him 16 months in advance, and instead of stressing, I decided to trust DJ Rell and his replacement DJ Tree, who showed up to my venue without any preparation. He arrived early but somehow my ceremony was 30 minutes late and I did not get to walk down the aisle to the song I had planned because he didn’t think to download the music, or prepare, prior to my exact ceremony time. Fast forward through the night, there were countless instances of utter lack of professionalism, and DJ Tree also threw up in the tent of my reception, behind the DJ booth. DJ Tree seemed to be under the influence of something, and had to be spoken to multiple times by my family to keep things in order. Additionally, for us being a young couple (late 20s) it was comical that zero music past 1980 was played during my reception. Everyone left early. I cried. The only redemption is that somehow we got the DJ to play the song I was meant to walk down the aisle to, as a last dance. I genuinely believe the DJ ruined so many aspects of my wedding. DJ Rell assured me everything would be fine and it was far from it. I am putting this out there as a warning to others, there’s nothing that can change what happened at my wedding. To whoever got DJ Rell Miles on 10/25/2025, I hope your wedding went better than mine.

n the day of, he was seamless. He set up right where we needed and was flexible with our rain plan. His music selection was great too. We also asked that he not take requests, and he was able to smoothly deal with people who were persistent at making them.  I cannot recommend him enough.

the reception and also was set up perfect to provide music during the actual ceremony. If someone wanted to hear a specific song he was excited to play that for them. He kept the crowd entertained the whole time and did exactly what was asked of him and then some. He felt more like a friend of mine rather than someone we just hired for an event, he made sure you felt heard and comfortable with what his steps were in one of our biggest days of our life. If you are considering a DJ for a wedding or anything in Virginia, I would 100% go with DJ Rell Miles. If I ever need a DJ for another event I will be hiring DJ Rell Miles, and I will be telling everyone I can about him who may need him in the future.

That being said, I was a little nervous with the limited amount of time before the wedding but he absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! All of the “special songs” were the exact versions I requested and played perfectly on cue, etc. He was professional as an MC and when it came time for the dance floor to open, he kept the party going and kept the dance floor full all night. I couldn’t keep track of the number of people who told us how great our DJ was. We appreciate him so much for tapping in at the last minute and doing an amazing job. I can’t recommend him highly enough!!!

He had an awesome price point, was so easy to talk to and very relatable. a couple weeks prior to the wedding he reached out to secure what types of music we wanted as well as the first dance/processional and recessional songs. Michael and I have very broad tastes in music so we were worried we wouldn’t be able to find a DJ who could do it all. Great news - Terrell said he could and he DID! When the dance floor was popping the entire night. I cannot thank him enough for making our day so special with the soundtrack he gave us. 10/10 would recommend.

best mix of music. Extremely flexible with requests and was able to keep the grid dancing and having the best time. Don’t have enough great things to say about him!
