DJ Pete Wildermuth

and sent it to us a couple days later. He helped us pull off a somewhat complicated first-dance plan. He even included a few things at no extra charge just because. He did a really good job at being part of our day-of team in a way that also went beyond the strict confines of a DJ: I believe he even fixed a door at one point. He basically understood what were looking for musically, and our dance floor was pretty full almost the entire time, even through our weirder requests. We were scouting far and wide at first for a DJ on The Knot and thought we were going to have to settle for someone we were only OK on. Luckily, we threw a few more darts at the board, found DJ Pete, and it could not have been smoother sailing. Strong recommend.

un. We also love having the recordings of our ceremony and speeches. This was especially great as we did not have a videographer.  Pete is very friendly and professional, and we highly recommend him!

ly! His professionalism and attention to detail was greatly appreciated and helped make the process simple and stress free. Most importantly, he kept the dance floor packed all night! We would highly recommend Pete for anyone’s wedding or event!

t us prepared. On the day of, he executed the ceremony, toasts, and dancing perfectly, incorporating all the music tastes we conveyed to him. Our dance floor was so lively and we had the most fun ever. 100% would recommend.

mazing. The reception was also so fun and we had numerous guests tell us our wedding had the best music (the dance floor was packed all night). He really understood the vibe we were going for based off the list of music we had given him for what our tastes were and he did a seamless job making it all go together!

m day one, Pete was on top of everything - planning out all the details for sound for our ceremony, reception, and after-dinner dancing. Our wedding was at a non-traditional venue, where power sources were few and far between. DJ Pete had technical solutions for all the different spaces, and everything went flawlessly. The sound for the ceremony was loud and crystal clear, and he set up mics for a guitarist and a singer. He even recorded sound for the ceremony, and sent us an audio file after our wedding - the recording is captured beautifully, and we are so grateful for having it. On top of the ceremony, DJ Pete set up live sound for a contradance band, including a keyboard player, fiddler, mandolin player, and vocalist. He also provided lighting for the dancing, and made the space fun and eventful. For a one-man operation, DJ Pete truly did the job of five or six people. On top of that, he is incredibly kind and easy to work with. He helped us put together a playlist for dancing, and took all the requests we wanted. After the contradance, DJ Pete kept the party going and everyone had an amazing time. He is truly the best. THANK YOU, DJ PETE!

t like sports announcers; Pete is much more like an executive producer or stage manager. He is entirely in the background, allowing the joy of the day to take center stage, all the while pulling all the levers and doing a massive amount of attentive, personalized work to make sure that your long-considered visions spring to life. For us, he went so far as to manually calibrate the color temperature of the uplighting to match the hue of the candlelight at dinner. He accommodated every single request we made and, most importantly, chose a dance playlist that had almost all guests dancing like jovial lunatics all night. We could not possibly imagine our wedding without him, so we hope you hire him and see for yourself!

r a DJ, Pete is your guy!

his experience. He worked with us to curate the theme of the night that we wanted and cued the music perfectly at every moment. His equipment is top tier, crystal clear and his lighting perfectly accentuated the barn interior. He is a fabulous emcee—not over the top at all like some DJs can be. He blended seamlessly into the night and even handled our request for a unique game during the festivities as if he’d done it before. We couldn’t be happier with our choice—he is part of what made our wedding perfect and I would say I’d you’re on the fence, get off it and book Pete immediately.

ched our music taste perfectly while also adapting to the energy on the dance floor. Everyone was raving about the music throughout the reception and multiple people commented that it was the most electric wedding dance floor they had have ever been on.

ng our windy outdoor ceremony. Our friends and family loved that he took their music requests. He was present and supportive of our timeline throughout the entire day. It meant so much to have someone local and familiar to us with us on our special day. Thank you Pete!

ating to get to know you and the kind of music and energy you want to bring to your wedding day. Pete kept the energy of the night lively and was able to read the crowd on what songs would get them on the dance floor and keep everyone dancing til the very end! We handed over a few playlists and Pete filled in the gaps with crowd favorites. Pete will make sure the night goes how you want it to with timing, intros as low key or extravagant as you want. He can get an 8 year or and an 80 year old out on the dance floor. Pete is both thorough and thoughtful. He genuinely cares that your event represents you! I can’t give enough positive words on Pete!

, Pete’s passion for music and his ability to cater the lights and sounds of the event to our preferences made the entire experience a wonderful memory that we (and our guests) will always remember fondly. DJ Pete listened to our input on the music selection, added in some crowd favorites, and ensured that the sound and vibe for our wedding was top notch! Thank you Pete for adding such a wonderful soundtrack to our special day!

e whole time he did so with a friendly, genuinely caring attitude that was very much appreciated on our wedding day. We really lucked out getting such a perfect DJ, and I highly recommend him for any event.

From our first conversations, we felt that Pete had everything under control. We appreciated how he kept the introductions and announcements simple during the reception. He played a variety of music that appealed to all ages, and kept the dance floor going all night! We received many compliments from our guests about the music. Pete also provided lighting for our reception tent that really elevated the ambiance. He even sent us a recording of the toasts the next day! We can't recommend DJ Pete enough!!

astic DJ and got everyone dancing for the whole evening. Would definitely recommend!

ked so well with the event staff to integrate his playlist to their lighting. He also followed our music requests and personalized the selection to us. He was so kind, responsive, and professional throughout the whole process. I would recommend him for any event and I hope to attend an event he’s the DJ at in the future!

ou're looking for an amazing DJ to cover your event, you can't go wrong with Pete.

day off and he responded right away and said "sounds good"! When I had arrived day of some decorations where still being set up so I went to start helping and he told me he would take care it, something not even close to being his job but still offered to help with other things. We can't thank Pete enough for everything and we are so glad we got to work with him!

d our somewhat eclectic music tastes with songs from his library. He even took a few requests from guests and incorporated them in a very natural way. Everyone was raving about the music and kept dancing as night went on! And as a person and professional, Pete was exceptionally easy to work with both leading up to our wedding and on the day-of — he's an excellent communicator, very flexible, and truly took the extra care to make our wedding day special. He perfectly adapted and catered to our unconventional venue, had no issue with our intentional lack of a lot of reception traditions (first dances, announcements, speeches, etc.), and was even providing a helping hand to other vendors. We're so lucky and glad we got to work with DJ Pete on our wedding day!

mcee is for your wedding day! It's very, very important. Pete made essential announcements throughout the night, like our wedding party/bride/groom introductions, and he also made other announcements, like when our trolley was leaving and when the late-night snacks were coming out. Not only did Pete emcee and provide great music throughout the night, but he also provided lights for our reception room and a microphone/speakers for our ceremony. After our wedding, Pete provided us with a recording of our ceremony, which we didn't think we wanted at the time, but I think it'll be great to listen to years later. I highly recommend working with Pete! He was professional, friendly, and helped make our wedding so much fun! Thank you, Pete!

master of all things audio and visual. He set up the ceremony space (outside on a windy day with no audio issues), up lighting for the dance floor and our photo wall, and there is no one better to get your guests up and moving than him. He made the planning so easy for us, and we will be forever grateful for the work that he put in to make our night magical. HIRE PETE FOR YOUR WEDDING! You won’t be disappointed!

accommodated our last minute changes and everything went perfect on our special day!

ause he was friendly, accommodating, and told us that getting people up to dance was his specialty! One of my husband's main priorities for the wedding was dancing, so this hooked us immediately. He offers recordings of the ceremony, as well as the toast speeches. In addition, he provides uplighting for the dance floor and during the reception. I recommend this service because his lighting makes the dance space look inviting and fun. I cannot speak enough to Pete's responsiveness and attentiveness. He edited our first dance song and was able to cut it to our desired length within 2 days of my email request. He helped us create a timeline for the day's events and discussed in detail the way he would make announcements, and say our names and the names of our family members. In the week leading up to our wedding, I emailed and texted him with several updates and announcements I wanted him to make. He took note of each and made every announcement as we requested. The day of the wedding was a blast. The ceremony music was well timed, our entrances were fun, our first dance went seamlessly, and everyone hit the dance floor! Our guests loved DJ Pete, and his music was perfectly tailored to our crowd and our tastes, based on the form we provided him. There was overall a good mix of music that everyone enjoyed. He set up and took down all of his own equipment. Pete was a pleasure to work with. Professional, friendly, and great at what he does.

anced the night away. Would highly recommend Pete for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!

to make our special day the best possible. He came with a glowing recommendation from my sister (whose an event planner) because of how well he listens and caters to what the clients want and also how early and prepared he arrives to every single event. He was so communicative beforehand and has a form that you fill out that really helps him get a feel for you and what you like and did awesome building a playlist off that for the whole night. And if you're booking with Pete, get the extra lighting package!! I had no idea how much lighting could change a space until I saw it. He literally created a backlight color for the whole room based off our decor and it just tied the whole space together in the most amazing way. And once dancing began, the light effects definitely help get the party going. Pete added such a sweet, calm, but also upbeat vibe to our day and did so well to keep things moving smoothly throughout the night and getting people on the dancefloor and keeping me and my husband happy and having the night of our lives!! Pete's just the best and I would recommend him 100x over!!

, really listened to what we wanted, and played amazing music throughout the night! We got so many compliments from all of our guest about the amazing music we had. I would recommend him to anyone looking to plan their wedding or event!

re partiers, but we wanted fun music people could dance to in the eras that we wanted to. And we got exactly that. 100% would recommend!

rstand our vision for the wedding. My husband and I are very into music and that is a huge part of our relationship, so we were pretty picky when it came to hiring a DJ haha. But Pete stepped up to the plate and exceeded all our expectations. He was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and it was great to finally meet him in person on the day. He is such a warm presence and helped relieve any stress we may have had. The sound from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception was perfect. We had a very windy outdoor ceremony and the sound was crystal clear. We could be heard perfectly over the microphone. And this was no different for the speeches during dinner. The music was top notch! Once the cake was cut I don't think I left the dance floor once! He listened to exactly what we wanted and we had an amazing time. Do yourself a favor and hire Pete, you won't regret it!

ebration. Would DEFINITELY work with him again!

just a friendly, warm presence on a hectic day. On a professional level: he is an expert. He was receptive to our ideas and made them better. The music at our reception was perfect. We are both fairly low-key people and wanted to create a fun atmosphere without leaning heavily on cheesy hits or overly hype-y music/commentary. DJ Pete nailed it. Everyone was dancing and the night felt like a real reflection of us. His supplementary lighting was also very cool, and the sound was crystal clear for the ceremony/toasts. And, within days, he sent us an audio file of our ceremony- which we didn't even know we needed (but are so glad to have.) Thanks again for being one of the best parts of our wedding day!

lways remaining in tune with our vision and tastes.

azing because he really got everyone dancing (including my older relatives!) Would highly recommend Pete!

hich led to a really fun time!! Easy to communicate with, affordable, great website, provides his own equipment and mics (and special lighting!!) and just a cool dude who is willing to make your event special. Very helpful with music choices for our ceremony too. Brings great energy. Thank you Pete!

he would be a perfect fit. He understood our vision to have a fun, energetic party without too many gimmicks. Pete has a clear talent for music and picked the perfect songs to keep the party going all night. So many people commented on how great the music and the energy was, as Pete seamlessly transitioned the style of music from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner to dancing. He was accommodating to all our requests and kept us in the loop with anything we needed to know throughout the night. Also, Pete is just a great guy, he truly wants the best for you and does everything he can to make it happen. He showed up early to prepare his equipment and handled everything flawlessly through the end of the night. The dance floor was crowded and stayed that way the whole night thanks to Pete! We are so thankful that we found him and hired him for our wedding.

just so darn nice. He even helped us pack up all our decorations at the end of the night!! We gave Pete a sense for what we wanted and he took that inspiration and ran with it. Our dance floor was filled pretty much all night. I would recommend Pete to anyone looking to work with a great person and DJ for their event!!

his work. We could see all the time, thought, and energy that he puts into it. He absolutely made our wedding so personalized and unique. Pete was gracious and understanding with any changes. He set up mics for our niece and her boyfriend to play guitar and sing during the ceremony. He then sent us an audio of the ceremony within a week! He was lovingly tolerant of the many children and censored their many requests. The lighting was perfect for our huge tent in the middle of a field. He is so talented, passionate and professional with all the services that he has to offer. I'm also so very thankful for all the help and guidance which led up to the event. It was so kind that he took the time to chat and walk us through our decision making. "DJ Pete" will forever be a part of our story!

y we chose him for our DJ. Not only was the day amazing, but he also got us a recording of the ceremony the next day, allowing us to re-live our beautiful day the following night. Pete is an amazing DJ and the right choice for any couple.

we wanted and helped me keep my processional song a surprise for the groom! He helped to drive the schedule of the night which was greatly appreciated as we were a backyard wedding, and he was flexible which was great since it was a rainy day and we had to transition the ceremony location the day of. Perhaps the best part was that he picked up on the general love of LOTR in the group and played music from the movies during dinner! We loved how well he read the room and adjusted the music. I would definitely recommend him!

and DJ’ing the event. He did a great job of playing a variety of music from our play list and kept the crowd on the dance floor. We would highly recommend him.

think of all the special touches for the big day. We had a zoom with him to prepare and he really made sure to clarify everything so he could nail it on our big day and he did! Pete audio recorded the ceremony which is something we will always treasure. He added so many touches that really set the tone for the reception. Even during dinner, we heard so many songs we loved. It was very clear he looked at our music selections and choose dinner music just for us. He coordinated the uplighting to match our venue and it looked amazing. Pete is genuine and just a wonderful person to work with! I really wish I could give him more than 5 stars! You will not be disappointed!

e!

ith my husband and a family friend of ours chatting about local history, truly great DJ
