My wife and I truly could not be happier that we chose DJ Persist for our wedding. Our reception was everything we hoped it would be, and he was a huge part of making it such a fun...
and memorable night.
One of the biggest things that stood out to us was that our dance floor was never empty. He knew how to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing throughout the night. He also took appropriate song requests from our guests and did a great job working them into the music while still keeping the energy going.
We chose Hora Loca and Dancing on the Clouds as add-ons, and both were so much fun for us and our guests. Dancing on the Clouds made our first dance feel even more special and created such a beautiful setting for our photos and videos. Hora Loca was one of the most fun parts of the night. It brought everyone together on the dance floor, and our guests had such a great time with it. Both were absolutely worth adding and gave us some amazing moments and pictures to remember.
We also really appreciated that he was able to speak on the microphone in both English and Spanish. We had both English and Spanish-speaking guests, so having someone who could communicate with everyone made a big difference and helped everyone feel included.
Even before the wedding, his online planning tools were extremely helpful. They helped him understand exactly what we wanted, but they also helped us plan our reception. Going through everything made us think about details we might have otherwise forgotten and gave us a much better idea of what to expect throughout the night.
Most importantly, we were able to simply enjoy our wedding. We danced, laughed, celebrated with our family and friends, and had the perfect night that we will always remember. We are genuinely so grateful to DJ Persist for helping make that possible. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants an amazing celebration, a full dance floor, and a DJ who truly knows how to keep everyone having a great time.
Thank you, DJ Persist, for being such an important part of a night we will never forget!
DJ Persist is so talented! We had a combination of cultures and languages in our music and he did an amazing job mixing it all together smoothly. We had a few Mexican traditions (d...
ollar dance and víbora Del Mar) that more than half the wedding was unfamiliar with, but he took the time to throughly explain and kept the party moving.

music selections! From the planning perspective, his planning forms and music selections were great for building a playlist and ensuring all music selections were made for all the significant moments of our wedding. We had a multi-cultural wedding, combining Mexican and Ghanian cultures and music and he did a great job blending these two cultures seamlessly. We incorporated the Mexican tradition of La Vibora de la Mar into our reception and it was a hit amongst all of our blended guests! We also added the photobooth and memory book into our cocktail hour and reception and our guests loved it and it made for a great keepsake of our wedding. We could not recommend DJ Persist enough!

l hour, to the dance floor. He kept the mood fun and the party lively! We have continued to receive compliments on how that was the best wedding with the best dance floor anyone has ever experienced. We explained to Jesse that we had a very diverse crowd attending, which required a diverse selection of music. He delivered beautifully! People sang during dinner and kept the dance floor full. Thank you for a fun time and a memorable event!

stened to everything we wanted. His DJ and MC skills were amazing! He flawlessly MC’d in both English and Spanish, which made the night feel even more special for our families.
We threw a lot of different genres (hip-hop, r&b, pop, EDM, rock, latin) at him, and he mixed everything perfectly. The dance floor stayed full all night, and our guests are still talking about how great the music was. The photobooth was also a huge hit!
We’re so grateful we chose Jesse for our big day. Highly recommend DJ Persist!

h while knowing the fun Mexican wedding dance traditions. We had multiple interviews with DJs but he really stood out and made us feel like no one would be left out on the dance floor! We got the deluxe package which includes everything you need! The most important part was the music and he truly knocked it out of the park. He incorporated all the genres and songs we asked for while adding in songs that fit the vibe perfectly. He was able to create the perfect multicultural medley that fit us perfectly as a couple. It ranged from 2000s hits to cumbias to Marco Antonio Solís to Taylor Swift which may seem like a huge range but he did it all so seamlessly that everyone was having the best time. He did such a great job of keeping us on track that night and followed the timeline we gave him to a T! He also offers so many fun and cool add-ons. We got the Photo Booth add-on which our guests loved as they got to take something home with them. We also had a robot (who dressed up as a gorilla for a bit) and this was the highlight of the night!!! Seriously our guests have not stopped talking about it because it was so memorable and different :) He made everything so easy and seamless so that you just show up on wedding day and have fun! He also put together a picture slideshow of my husband and I which was such a sweet touch. His lighting set-up was amazing and worked perfectly with our venue. I honestly wish we would’ve gotten more add-ons so do it for yours because you won’t regret it! Jesse is truly a great guy with vibrant and professional energy that you will be so happy you went with him! 100000/10 recommend! Thank you DJ Persist!!!
In 2020, I came across DJ Persist on Instagram Live, and I was immediately blown away. He was seamlessly blending Latin music with American pop, understanding the rhythms of both c...
ultures and playing total bops. At the time, I had only been dating my (now) husband, who’s from Mexico, for about a year-- but I remember thinking right then and there: "when we get married, we’re hiring DJ Persist."
Cut to 2025, and that’s exactly what we did. We’re based in NYC and flew Jesse in from Chicago because we knew how important it was to have someone who could truly bridge both of our cultures on the dance floor, and wow, did he deliver. The energy was unreal. The dance floor never let up -- both families came in and out all night, and most of the time we were all dancing together.
It was incredible how effortlessly Jesse moved between English and Spanish. It made both of our families feel included and celebrated, and we heard nonstop praise from everyone (on both sides) about how incredible he was. People were in awe of the setlist, the transitions, the vibe. We brought him to our after-party where we really let the dance floor loose. He's such a smart DJ-- not just pressing play on a playlist. He understands the musicality, the beats, and how to layer songs together; it was seriously so fun.
On top of all that, Jesse is just great to work with- kind, responsive, professional, and fairly priced. He truly gets it, and hiring him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
Love DJ Persist! He was extremely organized and professional, amazing at mixing Spanish and English! Will be hiring for any future events I host! You have to add on his Hora Loca!
DJ Persist (Jesse) was such an amazing person to work with for our wedding. Having a bilingual wedding, we wanted to ensure that our DJ could navigate switching between Spanish and...
English music as well as multiple genres from oldies, nortenas, reggaeton, and pop punk. During our meetings, we described what we wanted and he made our dream happen. We also received timely responses for any email follow ups that we had. There were seamless transitions between the genres so people were on the dance floor all night. It was so much fun to have Jesse as our DJ that evening. We also hired his team to run our photobooth and it was absolutely worth it. Great prints and multiple template options. I would recommend DJ Persist to all my friends and family.

ves! DJ Persist knows how to read a crowd and is incredibly talented. He understood our eclectic group and somehow found a way to cater to everyone (from banda to pop-punk to hip-hop to country), making it all look seamless. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we ever made, not to mention his amazing add-on services. We had the 360 booth, which was an absolute hit! Some guests later told me they had so much fun with the booth that they could have done it all night and had one of the best nights of their lives. Additionally, DJ Persist kindly offered a new service called the nightclub experience to us free of charge since it was a new launch, and OMG, it was so fun! My large bridal party was nervous their entrances would feel awkward, but that concern vanished the moment DJ Persist provided LED strobe wands and poster signs. If this is a concern for your bridal party, please, please consider adding it on! Thank you so much for everything, DJ Persist!

o we were nervous how we would execute a smooth and fun night for all and DJ Persist did it with ease! He did all announcements in both English and Spanish, knew the right music to play for all to enjoy and have a great evening. Besides his excellent DJ and MC skills, he also was extremely professional and patient with us the entire process. He has a really nice software for you to use while planning your timeline and music selections. If you’re unsure where to even begin, it also provides you music suggestions that are popular with weddings. We also utilized some of his upgrades (cold sparklers, uplighting, and upgraded dance floor lightings) and those truly took our night up a notch! We can’t recommend him enough!!!!

ng from the initial meet up months before the event, up until the very end of the night. Throughout the night he made sure to check in with us if anyone made any special requests to make sure that we were ok with it. Apart from making sure we had our night go exactly how we wanted it to go, he also played the perfect music for the crowd that was present. The dance floor was not empty from the moment that the dancing part of the night started up until the very end. Also offered a photo booth that was a hit with the guests, and the booth we chose got us digital copies of everyone that took a photo. If you are looking for the best DJ with experience, knowledge, and has your best interest in mind for your special occasion Jesse is your guy.

ted exceptional professionalism and a genuine passion for his craft, making our special day even more memorable.
One of the standout qualities of DJ Persist was his ability to connect with our predominantly Spanish-speaking guests. His fluency in Spanish allowed him to make announcements and engage with our guests in a way that made everyone feel included and excited. This was incredibly important to us, as it ensured that all our guests, regardless of their language, could fully enjoy the celebration.
Jesse's extensive knowledge of Hispanic music was evident from our initial consultation. On his website, we were able to request a few of our favorite songs, and he took it from there. He curated a fantastic playlist that perfectly captured the energy and spirit we wanted for our wedding. Jesse did an outstanding job of filling the evening with similar tracks, keeping the dance floor alive and vibrant throughout the night.
One of the aspects we appreciated most was Jesse's ability to seamlessly transition between different music genres. Our wedding featured a diverse mix of cumbia, merengue, banda, reggaeton, and even some house music towards the end of the night. Jesse's DJ skills were top-notch. His seamless transitions and expert mixing kept the music flowing smoothly, creating an electric atmosphere that our guests are still raving about.
In conclusion, Jesse exceeded all our expectations and played a pivotal role in making our wedding day unforgettable. If you are looking for a DJ who can bring your celebration to life with vibrant music, we wholeheartedly recommend DJ Persist. Thank you, Jesse, for helping us create such wonderful memories!

cannot stress this enough, he really kept the crowd dancing all night ! We really loved the service!
DJ Persist was great! He was clear about communicating the services he provides and was able to provide guidance on which add-ons would best fit the vibe we wanted for our wedding ...
along with what would work best with the venue. He helped us edit our first dance songs to give us smoother transitions and time out the songs to be similar lengths. There was a great online system that he offered which allowed you to categorize your songs into three categories, “must play,” “play if possible,” and “do not play”. Once we went through and made our selections, he took the time to review the lists with us and make sure we had a good variety that would hit every demographic at our wedding. He was clear and concise on the microphone when making announcements and worked well with our other vendors to stay on our timeline. He mashed up songs and provided great transitions so there was no down time between songs. At times the transition to the next song was a bit faster than we would have preferred but we were always impressed by the next song he chose and still kept the crowd on the dancefloor. We would recommend his services to anyone looking!
If you’re here looking at reviews for DJ Persist wondering if you should book or not, DO IT!!
100000/10 would recommend. DJ Persist was HIGHLY recommended to us by a good friend. ...
It was so easy to work with Jesse from beginning to very end. Very helpful and honest. We had a 250 guest count with a very diverse crowd. We didn’t chose a playlist instead we asked Jesse to take in account the diversity and to mix it up however he saw fit. Jesse understood the assignment because as soon as it was his turn to take over the music, he got our crowd going up until the very last dance! Not a single person was sitting. He even accommodated us with other unrelated things even though he did not have an obligation to. My only regret is not having more time allotted for the DJ portion as the crowd could not get enough.
DJ PERSIST MADE OUR WEDDING a successful FUN event and we cannot thank him enough! Our guests were still raving about the DJ two days later. BOOK BOOK BOOK!
We could not have had a better DJ for our wedding than Jesse. He is incredibly easy to work with, responds to all questions very quickly, and he provides robust planning tools that...
allow couples to plan their day down to the smallest detail. Above all else, though, he definitely knows how to read the room and play the perfect song for the moment. His music mixing is phenomenal - he had our dance floor completely full during our entire reception while making sure all of our "must play" songs made it into the playlist. We received countless compliments from our guests about how the music was the best they'd ever heard at a wedding. We simply cannot recommend Jesse enough!

mother requested an oldie song and he said no. I had to go up there and ask him myself. He tried to tell me he would have to completely change the genera for the next hour in order to play it. I said that was fine. As the bride, if I want a song, I expect the Dj to play it without any negotiation.
There was also a drunk guy requesting to sing to us but was making insane demands. We sided with the Dj and tried to deescalate the situation but Persist was ready to fight. Which didn’t help.
Overall, I think he’s worth every penny. If you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL dj for your party, he’s your guy.
