About this vendor
I offer premium wedding entertainment services in the Truckee/Tahoe/Reno area. I'm a lifelong Truckee local who's primary goal is to ensure that you and your guests have the time of your life! With a hands-on approach, I will guide you through creating your ultimate wedding soundtrack. My philosophy for wedding clients is simple: You can customize the music to the extent YOU choose. I'll accommodate any level of input that you want into the music selection because it's YOUR wedding!! If you want to leave most of the selections up to me, great! If you want to select every single song for the entire wedding and just have me play songs from your list, sweet! Whatever you want, I will deliver. I guarantee to play the right songs at the right moments. I can set the vibe, read a crowd, and have no problem taking "good" song requests from your guests that'll fit the moment. Using my "Wedding Itinerary Form" .PDF packet, let's bring your wedding music dreams to reality!
My name is Justin Platt a.k.a. DJ Klick, and I've been a music lover since the day I was born back in 1983. I've always been the guy who sings alone in the car, memorizes rap lyrics, whistles while I work, and the last one to go to sleep as long as the music is still playing. My father is an exceptional guitar and bass player, and my mom's been an avid "dead-head" since the 70's. My brother plays guitar, bass, oboe, and french horn. Music is in my blood. Although I never became a musician myself, I have a deep appreciation for many genres of music across the musical landscape and that is now reflected in my work as a DJ.
Throughout the 90's and 2000's, I mostly enjoyed hip-hop, R&B, club, and alternative rock music like most other people my age. When I started DJ'ing professionally in the early 2010's, my musical love and knowledge expanded into country, latin, funk, disco, EDM, 80's, Top 40, and many other genres. I truly have grown to love almost every type of music out there! I'm not experienced in Bollywood, Persian, or Indian music at this point in my career.
My motto's always been simple: Just Play the Hits! (Unless the client prefers otherwise, of course ;))
I don't do a whole lot of remixing, mashups, or layering of tracks like a club DJ. I'm much more focused on playing great songs in their original form. But, I use my style, skills, and tools to keep the transitions between songs seamless and smooth. I follow the KISS method: Keep It Simple Stupid.
In addition to DJ'ing, I provide SHURE wireless microphones (up to 4) for ceremonies and speeches, lights for the dance floor, MC services for announcements and introductions, and free consultations to discuss all other needs. Contact me anytime!

ay seamless!
DJ Klick was one of the many vendors that saved our day and made it so seamless. We got married in the truckee blizzard and I thought all things were going to be impossible but DJ ...
klick made it possible. He was AMAZING and his whole process was seamless. He literally kept the party going and we received a ton of compliments on him. His music choices fit our vibe and there wasn’t a time were I ever felt like what the heck song is playing. He made a special shout out to our flower girls song and that was the first thing she said the next day is that they played little boo thang for the flower girl. It’s those little things that DJ Klick will provide for you on your wedding day too. I threw some changes in the schedule and he went with it on the fly without questions or any hiccups. When it came to dancing time there wasn’t a moment when the dance floor was empty and that is owed to DJ Klick. I recommend you hire him because even when you think hosting a wedding seems impossible he will make sure he is there without any questions and concerns. He will also be the one to help start and end the party. DJ klick is the best in the business in my opinion. I hope if you read these far you’ve already decided to book with him. Cheers!
I would recommend Justin 100 times out of 100! He did an amazing job at our wedding. He had the entire party dancing from the first song to the last with hit after hit. We also ...
appreciated how thorough and organized he was. He had a playlist for every moment of the wedding and it made our night one to remember as well as lights and lasers upon request. He asked for our favorite artists and songs and did a great job mixing in the typical wedding songs throughout the night. Overall, I highly recommend Justin! great price, great music, and a great guy.!
Justin did so amazing with music for our wedding! He provides a guided pdf for the bride and groom to select songs as they want (processional, recessional, first dance songs, dinne...
r music, etc). It’s up to you how detailed you decide to get within that pdf. We chose to include a few songs for the dinner portion, cocktail hour, dance party, etc so that Justin had a good idea of our vibe and who we are and what we wanted our vibe to be for each of those moments in the night. He absolutely nailed the music for the entire night based on those few song recommendations. I had so many people talk to me after the wedding saying the music was perfect. We had the most amazing night and thank you Justin for being so awesome to work with!!

At our wedding all our guests had a blast! Justin got everyone out on the dance floor, even my friend who is recently recovering from an ACL surgery. He created a perfect mix based on our music tastes and crowd. I highly HIGHLY recommend booking DJ Klick!

"thumbs up" from my husband while on speaker phone. We left the cocktail and dinner music up to him and he managed to pick relaxing light songs that we love. He honored our funk&soul song request list and was able to create a seamless natural flow to the music during the entire dancing part of our wedding. Our guests kept telling us how great the music was and what a great time they had! He also honored our "do not play" list, which I have heard of other DJs not doing. Justin was great to work with, I highly recommend him for any event you might have!
We loved Justin! He was so helpful during the process to answer all my questions and as we didn't have an official day-of coordinator, he was willing to step in and orchestrate the...

ND ! Justin is personable, organized, fun, prompt (on time), and will definitely get the party started on your dance floor and keep it going throughout the evening. He is equipped to set up sound at your ceremony location and at the reception location, a definite plus when a DJ can pull off multiple locations. Justin won't nickel and dime you with his pricing, he's straight forward and you get more than you pay for ! I can't recommend Justin enough, he will not disappoint on your wedding day or at your event !

ith less time for general dancing, but Justin went along with it all without skipping a beat (pun intended). We originally were going to have someone man an iPod, but I'm so glad we didn't do that! Justin made everything so easy-- we just showed up and enjoyed the day!

edding night. I really felt safe with my decision because shortly after messaging my interest in possibly hiring him, he emailed me a contract with a full preference layout for the songs we wanted to request and at what segment of the wedding to play them. This actually helped me better organize my own itinerary for the night. Everyone loved Dj Klick at the wedding, he was professional, on time, and he made it fun for everyone. I would recommend his service to anyone!! Thank you DJ Klick for helping our night be the best night of our lives!

ppy and all of our needs were met. He even made us a special song mix for our surprise wedding dance. He played a great mix of songs that suited all ages and music tastes. Everyone was out on the dance floor getting down!! Most DJ's are overpriced and he provides a FANTASTIC service at a fair price. I would highly recommend DJ Klick for any event. He went above and beyond and we are so grateful to him. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!!! DJ Klick is awesome!
