Kevin is the best. Point blank. He's attentive, easy to work with, great with communication, super friendly and knowledgeable about his craft and how it relates to making your event the best possible version of itself. Not to mention his ear for music and ability to mix and blend different genres of music together to keep the party going. He's also very receptive to working with you 1 on 1 if you want to create a specific vibe. We had music from at least 4 different cultures and 3 different languages and he was able to make it work seamlessly. He's also very attentive to the vibe of your party in the moment and can make adjustments based off what's happening and what's moving the crowd. I can go on and on about all of the phenomenal things Kevin did to provide the vibes for our reception. To close I'll just say you're making a mistake if you're throwing or hosting an event or party with music and you're not hiring Kevin. Best in NYC

We love DJ Kev! Months before our special day, we connected with Kevin, who was very personable. He worked with us to curate our own music selections and took the time to really un...
derstand our tastes/preferences to create mixes that really fueled a fun, dance-filled night. He was well prepared, making sure his equipment would be a fit for our venue; he hit all the cues, and his playlists got everyone out of their seats and movin’ and groovin’. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding, and a lot of the credit goes to Kevin. Highly recommend!

My wife, Taylor, and I got married a few weeks ago at Fandi Mata, in Brooklyn, and let me start with the most important thing you need to know about DJ Kevin KdotLim:
The dance flo...
or was BUMPING. ALL. NIGHT.
When we started looking for a DJ for our wedding, that was our number one priority. We wanted someone who could read the room, mix across genres, and keep people dancing. And our music tastes are all over the place: Latin music, salsa and reggaeton, 90s and 2000s throwbacks, house, disco, pop, hip-hop. We wanted all of it to somehow work together.
No joke, the dance floor was packed the entire night. My man was LOCKED IN. He moved between genres seamlessly, knew when to let a song breathe and when to switch it up, how to mix songs to give them more energy, and seemed to have a sixth sense for what the crowd wanted next. Kevin did not feel like a “wedding DJ”; it more felt like all of our friends and family were at a dope NYC nightclub.
And the proof is in the ending: when his set was over, our guests literally started chanting “OTRA! OTRA! OTRA!” trying to get him to play an encore.
What also deserves mentioning is how great Kevin was long before the wedding itself. From the jump, he was communicative, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. He has a really straightforward planning process that helped us think through everything from our ceremony processional songs to cocktail hour to the reception and dance floor. He listened to what we liked, understood the vibe we were going for, and then used his own expertise to make it all work.
He also went above and beyond with our first dance. We wanted to transition between two completely different songs, and Kevin personally cut and mixed them together for us. The transition was perfect and gave us exactly the first-dance moment we had imagined.
The number of people who came up to us that night and the next day sending compliments about our DJ was so gratifying. Kevin is talented, professional, collaborative, and, most importantly, he knows how to read a room and throw a party.
We’d hire him again in a heartbeat.

We would absolutely recommend Kevin for anyone looking for someone who knows how to keep the party going, while also creating a perfect atmosphere!

If you want a DJ who will literally have all hits no skips and knows how to feel out the crowd then you HAVE to hire Kevin.

tl;dr BOOK THIS MAN NOW!
Kevin was incredible! He had great communication with us throughout the entire year leading up to our wedding and coordinated well with our other vendors....
Even while we waited until the last minute, he kept giving us gentle reminders to provide him samples of our music tastes along with song selections for key parts of the ceremony. He also went above and beyond to slow down our walk-in song so the tempo would match the mood. Thanks dude!
During our reception Kevin played a great mix of our favorites along with sentimental upbeat grooves that matched our vibes. Lisa and I couldn't stop beaming at each other whenever our songs came on throughout dinner.
However, the real show started when the dance floor opened. We wanted a party and Kevin delivered, faxed and phonogramed that party into space. The sound was incredible, the sets were poppin, and the people couldn't have been happier. Everyone of our friends were asking us "Where did y'all find this guy???". We had multiple friends asking for his info days after our event.
Thanks for making our special day that much more special, Kevin!!!

Kevin is amazing! We’re a pretty shy couple with lots of introverted guests (many attending their first “party” style American wedding), so I was nervous about how the dance floor ...
would turn out. But Kevin absolutely crushed it! The music was perfectly tailored to our tastes, the energy was nonstop, and so many guests told us it was one of the most fun, “lit” weddings they’ve ever been to (some even asked for the playlist!).
He was also super communicative throughout the planning process, which gave us so much peace of mind. He really listens, balances preferences seamlessly, and keeps everything running smoothly. Thanks to him, our wedding was everything we hoped for and more!

We booked Kevin about a year before our wedding, and looking back, we truly couldn’t have been luckier. From our very first conversation, it was clear we were in incredibly capable...
hands. Kevin was professional, thoughtful, and genuinely easy to work with throughout the entire planning process.
Right from the start, he made coordination a breeze. He clearly communicated what he needed from the venue and what he would be bringing himself, which made it super simple for us to align everything with our venue’s AV team. His attention to detail and experience in working with different setups took a huge load off our plates.
As the wedding approached, Kevin proactively reached out to schedule a planning call. He took the time to ask what kind of energy and dance floor vibe we were hoping for, and also made sure to walk through the schedule for the ceremony, reception, and afterparty with us and our coordinator to make sure he knew what would be needed on our wedding day. He had clearly done his homework and came to the conversation prepared with thoughtful suggestions that helped shape the flow of the evening in the best possible way.
On the big day, Kevin was phenomenal. He read the room perfectly and created an atmosphere that had everyone on their feet. His transitions were seamless, his music choices struck the perfect balance between our preferences and the crowd’s energy, and he kept the momentum going all night. We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding to ask, “Who was that DJ? He was incredible!” Multiple people called him “fabulous,” “unbelievable,” and even “hands down the best DJ” they’d ever seen at a wedding.
Kevin was truly a joy to work with and an essential part of what made our wedding so special. We can’t recommend him highly enough—if you have the chance to book him, do it. You’ll be in the best hands.

Hands down one of the best DJs out there! We knew DJ Kdotlim from NYC nightlife, so when it came time to choose someone for our wedding in Cleveland, there was no question—he was t...
he one we needed to book.
From start to finish, he absolutely crushed it. He seamlessly blended all of our favorite tracks—spanning genres, decades, and even different cultures—into a perfectly curated experience. We threw some very obscure special requests his way, and somehow he not only found them but worked them in flawlessly like they were always meant to be there. From Pat Benatar, to Depeche Mode, to Kendrick Lamar, and even Romanian club bangers and traditional folk music? No problem. Kdotlim was able to magically blend them together into a seamless mix that got the whole crowd bumping all night.
His MC skills were on point, his mixes smooth as hell, and his timing impeccable. The whole night flowed beautifully thanks to his professionalism and expert pacing. He had everyone on the dance floor—from kids to grandparents—and we were blown away by how much joy and energy he brought to the celebration.
On top of it all, DJ Kdtolim is just a fantastic person to work with: thoughtful, professional, polished, and genuinely invested in making our night the best it could be. And it was—the best night of our lives as a couple. If you’re lucky enough to book him, do it. You won’t regret it.

ly help me transition throughout the wedding day from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to our reception. He had set playlists that matched the mood and atmosphere we were trying to set. What really sets DJ Kevin apart is how well he is able to read the crowd and the room - - giving the crowd exactly what they needed. We gave a list of suggestion genres that we thought would work well with our fellow guests and he really knew how to keep the dance floor going during the main dance, all the way until closing. Our guests raved about DJ Kevin and most of them say they may need a month after our wedding to recover because they had so much fun. DJ Kevin is exactly what you need during your wedding day because he gets the vision and he will work to execute it well.

To say that Kevin worked with us to bring our dream wedding to life is an understatement. He truly went above and beyond every step of the way! For context, my husband and I are bo...
th big music fanatics and had a very particular vision for the vibe that we wanted to create, specifically for the dance party segment of our reception. When we found Kevin, everything clicked right into place. He was extremely receptive to what we wanted and was on the same page as us from the get-go. Kevin never made us feel like we were asking for too much; he was equally as excited to work with us as we were to work with him. Once we heard one of his sets at Monarch Rooftop, we knew he was the one for us. He not only had incredible knowledge of the sound we wanted (primarily hip-hop with some soca and dancehall), but his transitions and mixes were *chef's kiss*.
Leading up to the wedding, Kevin was extremely responsive and communicative. We had zoom calls in the weeks before the wedding to go over every detail regarding our songs for processing down the aisle and our first dances. Kevin was in touch with our venue as well to ensure that from an equipment and sound standpoint, all would go smoothly on the day of.
Words cannot describe how much fun we had during our wedding and reception thanks to Kevin's talent! So many of our guests have approached us since the wedding talking about how amazing the music was and just how fun and lit the vibes were.
Even though we had a very specific vision for our wedding (and Kevin 1000% helped us achieve it!!), he is definitely a very versatile DJ, and we fully trust that he could cater to any client's preferences and requests for their own wedding. We seriously cannot recommend him enough!

Kevin worked closely with us in the lead-up to the big day, ensuring every detail was tailored to our tastes. He always responded our email in a timely manner, and the communication was on point which was very important for me. I was little worried since our wedding was on Monday daytime, but Kevin kept our reception enjoyable and the way I exactly wanted – boogie brunch party! LOL His ability to read the room was remarkable; he knew just when to switch things up and keep the energy flowing.
Not only was he professional and punctual, but he also kept the timeline on track without ever feeling pushy. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the music, and many have said the music was their favorite part of the day. Even our venue manger was complimenting him.
If you want a DJ who is not only talented but also genuinely invested in making your day unforgettable, look no further than Kevin. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’re so grateful for the memories he helped create. Highly recommend!

Kevin is truly the best.
1. He is incredibly professional. During the preparation process before the wedding, he fully understood our busy schedules and proactively reached out t...
o us about any areas where we were lacking, allowing us to prepare accordingly. He communicated thoroughly with us about the general feel of the music we wanted, creating a wedding atmosphere that we absolutely loved. Whether you have specific requests for the wedding atmosphere or prefer a smooth, no-frills execution, Kevin fits perfectly and will do his best to assist with the wedding.
2. Right after our wedding, friends who attended and were about to get married asked for Kevin's playlist because the dance party atmosphere was fantastic. We only provided a general feel, and Kevin chose most of the songs. Additionally, many guests repeatedly told me how much they enjoyed the party atmosphere.
3. Beyond his professionalism and excellent music selection and operation skills, Kevin is genuinely great to work with and a fantastic person. Whether it's a wedding or any event requiring a DJ, we highly recommend Kevin.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible job that DJ Kevin Lim did at our wedding! From the moment we first contacted him, Kevin was attentive and eager to understand ...
our music preferences. He worked closely with us to craft a playlist that perfectly captured our style and the vibe we wanted for our reception.
During the wedding itself, Kevin absolutely nailed it! The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and we were having such a blast that we couldn't bear for the party to end. Kevin graciously agreed to extend his playtime, and it was the best decision ever! The energy he brought to the room was infectious, and our guests were raving about the music for days afterward.
Multiple friends and family members told us it was the best wedding after-party they had ever been to, and we know that's largely thanks to Kevin. He seamlessly blended our favorite tunes with crowd-pleasing hits, keeping everyone on their feet and the celebration going strong.
If you're looking for a DJ who not only listens to your vision but exceeds all expectations in making your wedding day unforgettable, look no further than Kevin. He's a true professional and a master at his craft.

Do yourself a favor and book Kevin for your wedding!! Not only is he a pleasure to work with, but we also received numerous compliments about him from our guests!
I discovered Kev...
in whilst he was playing at bar that I went to for a friend’s birthday. He left quite an impression because I had such a great time & I left wondering if he also did weddings.
When my time finally came around to get married, he was the first vendor I rushed to book. Having a good DJ was at the top of my priority list because they really set the vibe for the evening. I’ve been to plenty of weddings where the DJ couldn’t read the room or made transitions awkward — having heard him play already, I knew I wouldn’t have that problem with him!!!
Kevin was prompt to respond to my inquiry and by the grace of God, he became available to play for our wedding. Communicating with Kevin was a breeze — my husband and I had 2 vidchat meetings and numerous email exchanges, all to which he was quick to reply. Kevin was also very helpful in directing us to booking a lights and sounds guy that would better fit our venue.
We made a list of songs we wanted to hear, didn’t want to hear, and Kevin was kind enough to help edit the song for our first dance. Day of, he was very keen on listening to our requests and we had such a great time!! The mix was great, transitions were clever, and Kevin kept everything upbeat.
Hearing Kevin play was one of the things I was looking forward to the most on our wedding day (besides getting married, of course) and he did not disappoint. We made a new friend and we are not shy about recommending him to friends! Thank you Kevin, for everything and you’ll def be seeing us again!
Truly,

Kevin is AMAZING!!! He DJed our wedding celebration in May 2024, and WOW - he was 100000% our dream DJ. We had eloped a year earlier, so our "vision" for the night was to have an e...
pic dance party with all of our friends - Kevin understood this immediately, and delivered truly beyond our wildest imagination! He kept the vibes moving during cocktail hour, and then seriously BROUGHT THE PARTY. The dancefloor was packed for over 3 hours straight. It felt like every single person there asked us where we had found our DJ, and they couldn't believe the mixes he was doing on the fly!!
From the moment I first reached out to him in January right up until the end of the event, Kevin was consistently professional, upbeat, and efficient. He replied to all communication quickly, and was SO thoughtful in his preparation. He provided a shared document months ahead of time so that we could share music and scheduling info, and on the night of the event it was so evident that he had paid attention to every single detail ever mentioned in the document, over Zoom, or on our site visit. Every single must-play song came on at the perfect time, he managed to source very specific remixes that I had mentioned, and he kept the night running on schedule with such a chill, stress-free, and adaptable vibe. Kevin even introduced us to his colleague Richie for dance lights when we were debating our lighting options, which also ended up being absolutely perfect!
I cannot stress enough how collaborative and understanding Kevin is, how smooth the process was, and most importantly - what a KILLER DJ he is. He truly wants to deliver the night of your dreams. My heart felt like it was going to explode in the best way multiple times that night, because of all the incredible, better-than-you-could-ever-have-imagined dancefloor moments. I wish we had an excuse to do it all over again, I would work with Kevin again in a heartbeat!!!

Kevin DJd our NYC wedding in October. Best choice ever!
Aside from, “congratulations,” “tune!” was probably the most shouted word at our wedding.
Our entire wedding (pre-ceremon...
y mingling and drinks, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing) took place in one location - a restaurant. That put a lot of pressure on the music since we needed to set and maintain a tone while tuning the energy for different phases of the evening. Kevin nailed it.
From the first meeting, he was creative, collaborative, responsive and kind. We didn’t start with an exact vision for what we wanted, so he helped us refine our “brief” by asking thoughtful questions about us, our guests, etc.
He proactively went on two site visits to our venue to meet the events team, understand the space and optimize speaker placement. He requested to come to our rehearsal (in the pouring rain) to ensure he hit certain music cues for our processional. I mean, above and beyond.
In the end, he concepted and created the most PERFECT mix, which took us from café music and crooner vibes to yacht rock to the club. He played all our favorites, but it didn’t feel cookie cutter, and he mixed everything in a way that kept people excited and on the dance floor.
We loved working with Kevin from start to finish and hope we have another excuse to work with him in the future!
