DJ Connection

ice to get the right vibe for your event. We were scheduled to have DJ Finn at our wedding, and due to car trouble, they sent DJ Jade. Jade was on time, professional, sweet, and organized. I really loved the service we had with Jade. They really read the vibe of the crowd, went with my cues, and were super fun to party with! I had multiple guests compliment him and even some asked for his information to DJ their next event!

complaint is the bureaucracy of the DJ connection system. After asking 3 times to speak to the assigned DJ, they finally had them reach out after 4 months of asking. 3 days before my wedding the DJ was told to contact me. that is 100% on DJ connection to not let him know i wanted to confirm some details of the night. While i would book my DJ again in a heartbeat, i would never us DJ Connection again.

ace from the cake smash when he started to play the anniversary dance. The groom was barely sitting down when he got pulled by the DJ for another activity. We had the two parent dance, cake cutting, anniversary dance all without a single pause-- imagine the most rushed awkward DJ experience and that is what we had. I paid serious money for a gourmet cookie dough bar which was never announced. The ice cream bar was never even mentioned. It was up to the bride and groom to go table to table to ask people to go to the photobooth because our DJ was useless, but we couldn't go table to table because he would then announce we were throwing the bouquet with 0 warning. The whole thing was a mess and his music selection was awful. I had a guest who said can we play some rap or R&B music and he apparently noted how many white people were at the wedding. I had 3 songs on a list I absolutely needed to be in the room for them to play and heard it start playing when I was never in the room. The groom asked for a song and it was never played- that song meant EVERYTHING to us and I had noted multiple times to play it. I would never recommend this vendor to anyone. Even the planning process was awful. I was sick and throwing up as they badgered me to give them the names of my bridal party 6+ months before the wedding because they wanted to get the planning done. I had been engaged for 3 weeks it was not on my radar. The manager was super helpful in trying to get my feedback and assured me the DJ normally doesn't have as many issue, but it still was unacceptable. The groom also had to help the DJ with speaker placement because when the speeches started no one could hear the father of the bride speech and then after being fixed no one could hear any of the bridal party speeches. There were very few things that mattered to me about the reception but as I look back at my wedding I realize every thing that did matter--- the dance, the speeches, the little touches we did with an ice cream bar, etc were all ruined because our DJ was horrible.

e best. He called me multiple times the day of and I had to tell him to use the number of the day of coordinator that he already had. He also messed up a part in our ceremony that my husband had asked for. He definitely was much better at the reception, he did great reading the room and keeping the energy up. We ended up giving him a great review with the company because there was A LOT of pressure to give a good rating since I guess it affects their pay. Ultimately everything was good and we enjoyed him at the reception just some room for improvement. The company was great so maybe just be careful about the DJ you're assigned.

nd they’ll make it perfect for you!

hour songs, 5 dedications, 10 Do not plays. The organization of the site was really nice for the scheduling, song selection. etc. I do wish I knew who my actual DJ was before my wedding. All calls ahead of time were done through corporate.

the appointment we had and never called. Knowing what I know now, I probably shouldn’t have ignored that red flag and went with another DJ company. But overall, the customer service was good leading up to our wedding. However, if the customer service is great over the phone prepping for the event, but the execution is not, than what good does it do? I don’t think we got the value for what we paid for. If I had to do it all over again, we most likely would not hire DJ Connection for our wedding. This has little to do with the DJ and rather the lack of support and preparation that the company provide in executing the event. I spent many hours discussion details of the event on the phone and it seemed like we were starting from scratch the day of. Like for example, i spent time on the phone to explain the interactive game we wanted to play with the guests, yet that information was not at all relayed to our DJ so I just ended up cancelling it instead. Luckily, we had friends and family that were willing to help guide with things like - the location within the venue of setup, the music that should be played, the events of the night, etc. Seriously, no bride has time or wants to deal with these kind of things on their wedding day; they just want everything to be taken care of how they planned. Our venue was a little complex for DJ set up since there was 2 floors and a loft, and supposedly DJ Connection had DJd here before, but that definitely didn’t show; it would’ve been really nice to have a DJ that had done a job there before or if the company would’ve spent a little extra effort in prepping our DJ for that (which was totally not on the DJ). Additionally, we were told that we would have a different DJ than the one that showed up - not sure if this happened a few days before or an hour before, but it showed quite a bit. Again, luckily, everything else went smoothly, the reception wasn’t ruined or even close to a disaster and we were able to run a bit of interference so everyone still had a great time (hence why I didn’t rate them a 1/5). To me and my husband, we feel like we were just another sum of money to DJ Connection. Quite disappointing and probably the worst of our vendor selections.

late for ceremony and therefore our ceremony did not start on time. We were lined up to walk down the aisle, when I saw a man (whom I had never met before) run by us in an undershirt and dress pants, scrambling around to set up for our event--that was supposed to have already started. We were told he would be there 2 hours prior to set up for both the ceremony and reception, and to make sure everything was functioning perfectly. Once the reception had started he was supposed to introduce my parents for the welcome speech, then the matron of honor toast, followed by the best man toast, then the blessing by my father in law. He messed up this order completely. First thing he called up the best man for the toast, never introduced my parents for their welcome speech, tried to dismiss each table for food (it was a plated dinner), and then did not announce my father in law for the blessing either. The whole night seemed totally unorganized and chaotic. Once the dancing began, he would not take any song requests from our guests as "he did not have an aux cord to do so"--what DJ shows up without an aux cord and also won't take requests from guests?--thats the whole point in having the DJ there. Beyond being a terrible DJ and messing up the order of everything the entire night ,he was either SLEEPING at the DJ booth, or not even at the booth (still not sure where he kept going). He never engaged the crowd, and pretty sure he never came on the mic and said anything again after his terrible announcing of the order of events--which honestly was probably a blessing in disguise after how terribly he did for his one job of that. He was such a buzz kill for our reception that my husband had enough and literally went up to the microphone with 45 minutes to go in our own reception and shut the whole thing down. He went up and said "reception is over thanks so much for coming, we're taking this to the bar where we will have a better time". We had to end our own reception because the DJ was so terrible. Honestly would have a MUCH better experience (and cheaper) had we just hooked up a cell phone to an aux cord and speakers than this pathetic excuse for a DJ. What a nightmare of an experience and money wasted.

o the music and onto the dance floor. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because the anniversary dance did not go as planned and was a bit disappointing. We had chosen ONE song to play and the DJ ended up playing three. We were also excused from the dance floor right away when I was under the impression the last people dancing should be the newest and oldest married couples. All in all, they did a great job and we were very happy we chose them!

ick all of your songs. They are calling you to catch up with you and to see if you have any questions for them. They will get ahold of you the week of to make sure that you have EVERY song that you can on the list. The DJ was a blast at the wedding and keep you on schedule as well. I had DJ Rey and he was AMAZING! Very high energy and kept everyone dancing. Had a bunch of complements on not only the DJ but the company as well.

tails for the ceremony and reception music. They were very hands-off until the final confirmation call, but also very responsive if we had a question via email and phone. I was able to log on to the portal at my convenience until a week before the wedding when we had our 2nd and final planning call to confirm our music choices. We received the name of our DJ ten days before the wedding, although they do not allow you to contact that person beforehand. The planners at DJ connection ensure that all important information is relayed for the day-of though, and everything went very smoothly. We absolutely loved our DJ and we were very impressed with his professionalism and attentiveness to us throughout the wedding. He helped to keep things moving on the schedule we provided and made sure that we were having fun in the process. Highly recommend working with DJ connection!

bring us a drink! We would recommend to anyone who wants a DJ and doesn't mind not knowing who your DJ will be until a week before the ceremony. The company has great customer service and will be your point of communication until the day of.

mary focus of the wedding, they were very adaptive and everyone had a great time! The thank you note was the icing on the cake, with Tasha naming my father and the great time she had chatting with him! Thank you for making our day so special and being a part of it!

my DJ prior to the wedding day. Let me tell you...THEY BLEW ME AWAY!!! They give you a portal to use to make selections for every moment of your big day. I was able to request songs that we were not even sure were going to be able to be played, and they were able to get every single one of them. On top of that they also have an area for songs you DO NOT want to play and they stick to it. He was a great MC and was able to keep the party going. I could not have been happier with the service I received over the phone either. I wasn't a highly needy bride but anytime I had question I was able to get answers. I didn't always talk to the same people but the staff her is so fun and energetic. I HIGHLY recommend using DJ Connections.

ed. She even sung for us when we were unsure about how a couple of line dances went! 😀 Then I called in a couple of times with questions and the other DJs that answered the phone were always very nice, helpful and quick with an answer. Then DJ Callen for our ceremony and reception was out of this world! 🤩 He was so professional, yet so much fun, without taking over the show. He truly was exactly what we asked for in a DJ! We have had so many of our guests comment on how good our DJ was and ask where and how did we find him. DJ Connection spends so much time asking questions about what you want you reception to be like or what is your ideal DJ. Then they take all those answers and pick one of their DJs to match you. We are proof that it works and they are very good at their job!

possible. When you are on the phone with them setting everything up they make you feel like you are a star! Needless to say don’t look any further because you have just found your DJ! 😊

ed if they were okay, for example "Baby Shark," which was totally fine because we had a lot of kids there. She kept the party going all night and I am so thankful for her handwork. Sammy was the producer who worked with us and she did an amazing job putting together our songs and accommodating our requests for some instrumental songs for the ceremony. The online portal wasn't the most friendly, but Sammy helped us out big time! So thankful for DJ Connection. I would highly recommend them to all my family and friends!

y! They had an awesome website feature to add songs you wanted played and songs you did not want played. I would highly recommend DJ Connection!

expectedly fun! Their playlist portal and planning software made the process easy. The DJ was punctual and kept everyone on the dance floor from 8pm to 1am! I was the one who had to shut the party down. Everything with DJ Connection exceeded my expectations. Our guests mentioned all night and after the wedding how much fun the reception was. I would highly recommend DJ Connection!

e and beyond for us. There was not a moment during our day that we didn’t know what was going on or what was to come next. He was on point throughout the whole day. He absolutely made our day PERFECT!!! 🙌🏼 Top notch DJ service for sure!

se we were having trouble finding a good, affordable DJ. It ended up we requested to talk to our DJ the week of the wedding to get a feel for them and to kind of get to know him and for him to know our expectations. This DJ ended up not being able to come the day of the wedding, so DJ Paul covered for him, and he was simply AMAZING. Everyone had the best time dancing all night. I would definitely recommend!

, he was a great dancer who truly enjoyed what he was doing. He made sure the music was flowing at just the right times. We always heard that a wedding DJ can make or break your reception and Telvis certainly made our day. Thank you tons for the good jams that kept people moving on the dance floor all night long!

happening and when. He had everyone on the dance floor all night. He’s also someone who will play ALL of your song requests! THANK YOU ELIJAH!!!

ht order and even when things got out of order because of our wedding planner, he was great at working with us so no one knew. He kept the party alive all night long and we received SO MANY compliments on him. The planning beforehand was seamless and everyone that we spoke to was SO friendly and made sure that our day was perfect. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is in need of a DJ.

DJ Connection.

paperwork taken care of and they told me not to worry if I don't hear from them for a while because they would be in touch to make sure they got all final details closer to the date. They have a very well planned out timeline that helps make sure you are on track, even if your event isn't for months. They weren't lying about getting back to you either. They reached out to me a few weeks before our picnic to talk through the schedule I had submitted to them on our online portal (that was another cool feature- you have your own online portal that allows you to lay out a timeline of when you want announcements made, certain songs played, etc.) to make sure our event ran as smoothly as possible. The day of our event, our DJ Chris, made everything so easy for me. Not only was he very easy-going and helped reassure me that he had everything under control, he also was very flexible to any last minute changes. He had all the equipment he needed with him including wireless microphones, which were super helpful when making announcements around the different park locations. He also got along great with our employees. If we have the ability to request a DJ again, we will definitely be requesting him. Thanks to both Chris and DJ Connection for making our company picnic one of the best to date!

used them about a year prior, so they were my first point of contact. From the beginning, it was a great experience working with everyone! There were a couple of minor communication mixups when it came to getting the contract written up, but they were very helpful in getting things cleared up and on the way. All the planning was easily taken care of in the online client portal. That system is a bit clunky especially in organizing the event timeline, but it's still nice to be able to know exactly what's going where and have things tailored to exactly what we needed. For our wedding, I have nothing but praise for the way things went. Timing was perfect, the DJ even was able to loop a few pieces of music seamlessly when we took longer than planned on the processional. Just a couple days before the wedding, we had some last-minute changes, and they were more than accommodating and happy to help! Everything went so smoothly for ceremony and reception, and I can't recommend DJ Connection highly enough!

was it! Their process is different then anything I had ever seen and was so streamlined and organized. I got several calls to make sure that every detail was perfect and customized to perfection. From the coordinators to the DJ himself, everyone at DJ connection was so courteous and professional, making the process not only easy but enjoyable! Not every vendor was so understanding when speaking to the maid of honor instead of the bride, but DJ connection never treated me wrong. They were very modern and cooperative above all else. As for the music on the day of, it was perfect! The DJ followed instructions to the t, but also had his own DJ flair that was perfect for the mood of the reception. The ceremony music was great as well. His set up was quick and easy and he knew exactly what he was doing, he even brought a whole set up for a surprise performance by some of the junior members of the wedding party. Needless to say if we had the chance to do it over again we would definitely make the same choice. DJ connection was the way to go, professional, affordable, and the overall right choice. The perfect backtrack to the perfect day!

to talk to, and so much fun! He listened to everything we asked for and when we hit bumps in the road on time after the millions of pictures we took after the ceremony he was right there to keep our guest entertained!! Seriously amazing!! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a DJ! Thanks guys!!

icely just for us. Would definitely recommend giving them a call!

etely comfortable. My phone conversations with them always got me so excited. DJ connection has such a positive and charismatic vibe. I was always so pumped for our wedding after our discusssions, meetings and phone calls. They made thing so easy. I just had to go into my account and pick out our songs. They knew we had a 3 yr old too so we made some kids selections and even had a song just for our son. He was soooo excited and soooo cute when it came on. We had a family dance too. Their people are easily available and always helped me with questions and concerns. Everything was made super easy for us. The DJ that night was awesome. We had so much fun. I told everyone find me on the dance floor. I lived it up and had the night of my life thanks to DJ connection. Everything from planning, being there, professionalism, service, ceremony and reception was freaking stellar!! Thank you so much DJ connection y'all did not disappoint! We loved our experience with y'all. Thank you again for making our day/night it was perfect and so special.

ld recommend them for any event, not just for weddings!

m but after two previous friend’s wedding, we loved what we saw and heard that we had to hire them. Plus, we had all sorts of discounts that allowed us to hire them for our big day and still stay within our overall budget! I also want to mention, from previous comments I have seen – I was never given a “nickname” or called other than my own name “Mikyla” and when I e-mailed them with questions throughout the planning process I received a reply within 24 hours if a weekday. About one week from the wedding date I had a final phone meeting discussing timeline and who my DJ was going to be. We rated our event from 1-10 a 7/10 (how much involvement and crazy haha you want them to be) and it was exactly what we wanted wedding day. I want to send major kudos to our DJ from DJ connections, Matt (Rhodes?). He was dressed professionally, we heard him loud and clear without covering our ears during the reception, he was super attentive and worked super well with our day-of-coordinator, he played the songs we wanted and he avoided the songs we did not want played, he even was super accommodating when my dad placed a honeymoon fund lantern for people to donate to our honeymoon at the DJ table (a Filipino tradition – although dad wanted the money pinned to my dress like Filipino style but I was not about to let that happen ahah so he settled for a lantern, which our DJ mentioned to donate throughout the night). I believe DJ connections mentioned Matt has been with the company for 7+ years and he is phenomenal! Throughout the night, he made it about us, for example right before a special event (i.e. garter toss) he would say, “Alright everybody, give it up for our bride and groom, Mikyla and Ian”)! I LOVED that he did this because throughout the night we would get claps and cheers over and over again! Matt with DJ Connections was definitely everything we wanted in a DJ. Our experience with DJ connections was a GREAT one and Matt was exceptional!

es. Just a wonderful company .....and fun to work with. When I need another DJ this will be the only place I'll call!

al Arabic songs but also have some English songs as well. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do this or that the songs wouldn’t transition so well but the process was so easy! The DJ mixed the songs so well, all we had to do was update the list of songs we wanted to play on our big day. They also had a “do not play list” as well which was great! I appreciated that they really took the time to figure out what kind of wedding and reception we were looking to have. They listened so well to what we were looking for and they gave us the HUGE, AWESOME upbeat, exciting and massive celebration we were looking for!!! The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was that I was not able to meet or speak with my DJ until the week of the wedding. I was really nervous because I wanted to make sure the assigned DJ was going to give us the kind of party we were looking for, everything luckily worked out SO WELL but if you're looking for that personal feel of knowing exactly what you’re going to get, this probably isn’t your preferred vendor. Overall SUPER happy with our experience and beyond thrilled! Would recommend to all my friends and family!

ything or if we wanted him to do anything different. The customer service was astonishing and they were the perfect addition to our wedding!..

erience for us! I highly recommend this company. They will take care of everything you need and make it look easy!
