Jim did a fantastic job at our wedding! Before the day, he went over the timeline and confirmed all of our song choices. He was very detailed and definitely got the party started a...
nd kept it going. Couldn't recommend more!
My husband and I worked with Jim directly from Diverse Sounds. He met with us and went over all of their options. He was very kind and thorough. He took care of many details for us...
and put me at ease. We also used their Photo Booth. It was a HUGE hit at our wedding! If you're looking for a DJ in the Grand Rapids area, call Jim and his team!
Our DJ was awesome and close to our age so he knew how to hold the crowd and keep them dancing. He answered requests immediately and always kept dancing music going. He kept a flow...
and did a great job at keeping people on the dance floor. Great experience! We even had up lighting at our reception from this vendor which looked so good in our space!
This DJ service was fantastic. They gave us great rates, as well as a military discount for my husband's service. They were the MC of the reception, and kept the dance floor full...
all night long! I received multiple compliments from guests about how great of a job they did. I would definitely recommend them to any couple looking for a professional and fun group of DJs!
Did a great job playing music and being the MC. Kept people dancing and played great music, exactly what I wanted
Our DJ was perfect! He played the perfect mix of music we requested and music for our guests. They even came to me to see if there was anything I knew my friends and guests would l...
ike to dance to. They were professional, helpful, and perfect for someone who seldom cares and enjoys all music.
The service was good, but he did arrive later than time promised. This was a bit disturbing because I would have tried to do a sound check before the ceremony of the song I sang to...
the groom. The mike for the minister had a bit of feed back, but all in all went ok.
I have very mixed feelings about my experience with Diverse Sounds. Jim did a great job of getting people out on the dance floor and keeping it full until the last song. I do, ho...
wever, have two complaints: 1) I had requested a mix of music to include the oldies/classics/big band along with the more current music in order to reach all of the generations - but there was little, if any, of the older music geared toward my parents' generation; 2) I had also clearly requested to keep the music clean - and there were numerous songs where I couldn't even look at my parents because I didn't want to see the look of shock on their faces (especially since they were paying for it)!
I was going to use them for my wedding but then we had some budget cuts and unfortunately had to cut out the DJ. They were wonderful though and had great personalities. I saw the...
m at a Bridal Show and they were offering wonderful deals. They have a great system. I think based on their personalities you can tell they would have been great. They were also very professional when I had to tell them we could no longer afford a DJ. They told me I could use them for up to a year at a different party if I don't want to lose my deposit. I thought that was awesome too.
Kurt was wonderful! He incorporated his previous experience as an event cook and knew 'what not to do' and what irritated the venue staff. He is personable flexible and very...
professional. He chose the perfect music for my guests--I had no alcohol at my wedding but my dance floor was PACKED! Many people complimented us on how much fun our wedding was...and that is all thanks to Kurt!
Great at keeping the party going and understanding that we wanted both classic dance songs and the new stuff we wanted to dance to.;He will expect to be fed whatever your guests ar...
e having and expects a tip. This was fine but he waited until the reception to walk over and tell the bride this. We had a short reception and there was nothing in the contract about providing him a meal. He asked the bride for a meal and wanted to know where he should sit with the guests! It was rather rude and abrupt since he was there for a job. He also owned the business himself therefore we assumed he would be getting 100% profits which then typically a tip is completely optional to the payer. When we handed the check over at the end of the night he gave it back and asked for a tip. Great DJ for the party rude person.
