Dress Comfy and Casual
Whether you and your crew are drinking or dining, you will most certainly be dancing, so make sure to dress for the occasion. Regular workout attire, which includes sneakers, yoga pants, tank tops, t-shirts, and more, is preferable. Heels and tennis shoes are fine, but jeans and dresses aren't recommended.
Your Wedding Package
The DivaDance Brooklyn venue is an intimate one and caters to parties of fewer than 50. Its team offers a basic wedding package, but you can upgrade and personalize it to include champagne, decor, cupcakes, and a photo wall. DivaDance Brooklyn is committed to inclusion, empowerment, and creating a safe space for people from all backgrounds and walks of life; everybody is welcome.
Meet the team
- Jenny TolanCo-OwnerJenny has devoted her career to bringing people together across lines of difference through education and social justice. She co-founded Level, a multiracial angel investing network, she served as Deputy Director of Exalt Youth, a criminal justice organization, and she spent 5 years as the Product Marketing Lead for the Google for Education team, building technology for students worldwide. Prior to Google, Jenny worked in education and global development including at the Global Fund for Children in DC and India, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica, and as a 5th grade math teacher at a KIPP charter school in Brooklyn through Teach for America. Jenny has a BA in International Relations & Spanish from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School and she is raising 3 young boys.
