Planning a wedding in Chicago while living in Los Angeles was such a challenge. I knew no one and knew absolutely nothing about the Chicago wedding industry. One thing I was sure a...
bout was that I wanted a makeup artist who understood Asian features and facial structure. I knew I needed someone who could enhance my features while still making me feel like myself.
Then I found Jean from Dallora Beauty.
I will say there were some communication issues in the beginning, which made me a little nervous—especially planning everything from across the country. But Diem Angie, the owner, personally got on the phone with me, listened to my concerns, and helped me work through everything.I was genuinely impressed by how she handled the situation. Instead of leaving me with doubts, she gave me confidence in the company and made sure I felt taken care of. That meant a lot to me.
Then came what we like to call my “first date” with Jean—my hair and makeup trial. Jean was reserved, quiet, and completely professional. As she started working and we got to talking, I could see how seriously she takes her craft. I was a little nervous at first, but as soon as I saw my finished hair and makeup, I knew I had found the one.
I never really feel pretty, but that day I felt pretty.
Fast forward to my wedding day, and Jean came in like a magician. She set up, did her thing, and somehow everything felt calm, easy, and relaxed. That morning I realized she was even more of a gem than I initially thought.
My wedding hair and makeup were PERFECT. Somehow, I felt even prettier than I did on our “first date.” I didn't just feel pretty that day "I felt beautiful", and Jean did that for me.
She gave me confidence on one of the most important days of my life. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself while still looking and feeling like "me". I can never, ever thank her enough for that.
Jean is magic. Everything about what she does is magic. Her talent goes far beyond simply doing hair and makeup, she has the ability to make you "feel" beautiful.
And I also have so much respect for Diem Angie for the way she personally stepped in when I needed help. To me, great service isn't about never having an issue; it's about how someone responds when there is one. Diem Angie handled mine with professionalism and care, and Jean gave me an experience I will never forget.
I will forever be grateful that I found Dallora Beauty and best of all Jean for my wedding day. ❤️
I had such a great experience with Diem Angie’s Team as a MOH for my best friend’s wedding last September that I booked them for my own wedding this past April.
My lead artists ...
were Amanda (hair) and Nicole (make up). I was glad I did the hair and make up trial with the artists as well. They were punctual! Amanda was excellent at helping me fine tune and curate the vision for my hair based off of a few sample photos and through the process of getting to know me and what makes me feel confident when it comes to my hair styling. Between the trial and the big day, we made the tweaks I wanted/needed - and the hair style lasted me all night (7:45am to 3am).
Nicole’s makeup look for me lasted all day and provided the perfect balance of soft-glam and natural which I felt most comfortable in, and the make up did not run! She was also extremely down-to-earth and easy to work with. Jewels, Karolina, and Jackie did such a great job with the bridal party. Diem and Melissa were easy to work with and create a schedule and contract that best fit the needs for an early ceremony and a larger bridal party. Would definitely recommend!
Thank you Diem Angie for making my bridal party and me feel beautiful on my big day!

ould be in the best hands for my wedding. Diem Angie and her team are incredibly professional, responsive, and attentive to every detail.
They are also so kind and bubbly, which made the getting-ready process even more fun and relaxing. Diem Angie truly listened to my vision while offering expert advice that elevated my overall look with her amazing artistry! I felt absolutely confident and beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her and her team.
I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and I truly felt like I was living out my dream fairytale wedding. I cannot recommend Diem Angie and her team enough. They are talented, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to work with! :)

nd they were able to accommodate us easily because they have talented artists in the area. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable.
Melissa and Anna were absolutely wonderful — so personable, easy to talk to, and they made me feel completely comfortable. During my trial, they really listened to what I wanted, and I walked away feeling excited and confident for my wedding day. I was a little nervous because I don’t usually wear much makeup (just eyeliner!) and I’ve been in other weddings where “natural” makeup still felt heavy or overdone. But I asked for soft glam — and they absolutely nailed it. My entire bridal party also requested soft glam, and every single one of us looked and felt beautiful.
Even my mother-in-law, who was hesitant about getting her hair and makeup done, ended up thrilled with how she looked. My mom, who has some thinning at the front of her hairline, was treated with so much care — Melissa took the time to style her hair in a way that covered her balding spots beautifully.
Our bridal party is a diverse group with a range of skin tones, and every single person walked away feeling confident, natural, and radiant. As a curly-haired bride, I was so grateful for how skillfully Melissa worked with my curls — she styled them perfectly without flattening or frizzing them.
Diem Angie Co. made me, my family, and my friends feel like our most beautiful selves. If you’re a Wisconsin bride looking for a team that listens, delivers, and makes you feel incredible, look no further — Diem Angie Co. is the best of the best.
Rosie from Diem Angie’s team provided makeup for my wedding. I wanted a more natural glam look, and Rosie specializes in that style. In our trial session, Rosie was fantastic and w...
as highly receptive to my feedback. The morning of the wedding, Rosie was professional and provided perfect service to my four bridesmaids, my mom, and my husband’s mom. I was incredibly happy with everyone’s final looks. We strongly recommend Diem Angie, and Rosie specifically, to others!

sic low-bun during my trial and Jean did an amazing job especially given how long and thick my hair is. After the trial there were a few things I had changed my mind about. When it came to the wedding day Jean executed my vision perfectly, my hair and make-up were exactly what I dreamed of and felt so beautiful! My hair and make-up stayed intact all day long despite being under the hot sun for a couple hours and dancing all night long. Anastasia and Kassandra were also present for the wedding day, they were both very professional, prompt, and great with any touch-ups needed. All of the bridesmaids, mothers, and flower girls make-up and hair turned out beautifully!
Patricia from Diem Angie went above and beyond for my bridal party. She has the experience to work with mono-lids and curly hair, and was able to pull off our inspo looks flawlessl...
y. The makeup and hair stayed on for 13 hours despite a lot of dancing and sweating. Patricia was so kind and friendly, giving us advice on day to day makeup when we asked about it, and even gifted a hairpiece and a full bottle of gloss for touchups when we had last minute swapped to a new inspo. Every one of us looked amazing and we had compliments all night! 10/10 cannot rave enough.
I chose Diem Angie and her team because of her experience doing makeup on east Asian faces and she exceeded my expectations! Of all the professional makeup I've had done, hers felt...
the most light on my skin. She is also very sweet and totally open to work with your preferences or changes from the trial. My bridesmaids and moms were also really happy with their HMU on the wedding day as well. Thank you Diem Angie & team!!

ation for my hair and makeup trial. Although my hair and makeup for the trial turned out good- it was not what I wanted and even gave her feedbacks for the wedding day. My lashes were not symmetrical on my big day (I didn’t notice right away), and makeup looked cakey within 4 hours. We had requested for airbrush and expected the traditional airbrush style for the wedding day but this was not done, unfortunately. She also did my hair and makeup last, which was expected in the contract, but she also did 5 other ladies’ makeup before me (In the past she had focused on the bride only and this was what we had in mind before booking her) We thought working with the bride last affected how my makeup turned out. There is an early morning and travel fee depending on where you need services but she does not do Chicago proper. She requires cash only too for the day of services.
It was very important to me to find a vendor who was familiar with Asian faces and hair. Angie delivered 1000%! Patti (my MUA) was amazing and listened to everything I wanted - she...
got it spot on! I felt so beautiful on our day. I can't thank you enough for doing such an amazing job!

en work with them, which was not in my budget), did both hair and makeup, and was within my budget. I worked with Pati and had a great experience with both the trial and the day of. I wanted a natural, dewy look with a gentle half-up half-down look and she delivered. The trial was very helpful to see what worked (and what didn’t), and Pati was great with remembering all the changes we made and made me feel comfortable and absolutely beautiful the day of.
I worked with Diem for my wedding in March of 2022, and she was truly such a gem and a pleasure to work with. I was concerned mainly with finding a hair and makeup artist who know ...
how to style and do east-asian hair and makeup, and Diem absolutely hit it out of the park. Working with her was like chatting with a friend, and I trusted her completely with my look. After my trial, we talked about changing a few things here and there, and she executed it flawlessly for the wedding day. She did most of my bridesmaids' hair and even though they all had different looks, they all turned out gorgeous. You can't go wrong hiring her and her team for your wedding!!

eading up to my wedding and it wasn't great at all. In a panic and with 3 months to go before my wedding, I reached out to Diem who was very responsive and was able to get creative with her scheduling (I think she already had several other weddings on our date) and offer Nicole and Melissa. My trial with them was fantastic and I felt so much more confident heading into my wedding!
For the day of, Nicole and Melissa got their early and were so efficient with hair and makeup. Even when we ran slightly behind because one of my bridesmaid was late, they were able to move our schedule around to make sure we still got everyone ready on time. I felt so confident in my hair (glam waves) and makeup (felt very me still) and loved my look. For someone who gets shiny throughout the day, I didn't require a lot of refreshing throughout the day.
Please please please book Diem and her team for your wedding, they are so talented!

ded a huge boost to our day. My trial run with Diem for bridal hair and makeup was productive, helpful, and informative. She listened to feedback, provided advice, and it paid off on our wedding day. I would highly recommend Diem and her team.
Diem Angie and her team were wonderful to work with. Our hair and makeup looks absolutely wonderful on my wedding day. Total professionals and would highly recommend.
I highly recommend Diem and her team! Diem is VERY responsive whether via text or email. Michelle did my makeup, Elisabeth did my hair, and Pati did both for many of my bridesmaids...
--and I am SO happy with how BEAUTIFUL we all looked for my big day! Since I also did my trials with Michelle and Elisabeth, I spent more time with them and enjoyed getting to know them--they are so personable and easy to talk to. Diem's services are also the most reasonably priced I found for my downtown Chicago wedding--and her team did as beautiful a job as other companies who were quoting me 2-3x more could have done.

for me and came to my apartment. We talked through my style and the look I was going for and she was so knowledgable and explained each step before starting. I normally do not wear a lot of makeup so before booking with Diem, I was nervous about looking too made up and not like myself on my wedding day. I was so pleasantly surprised when Diem suggested starting out with less and adding more if I wanted so that I would still have a natural look. At my trial, she did my hair and makeup better than I could have ever pictured or imagined so I was completely at ease about how I would look on my wedding day. On my wedding day, my hair and makeup were PERFECT! I got so many compliments about how great I looked and how long it held up, even with removing my veil and two outfit changes (I started hair/makeup at 10am and the reception went until midnight). I cannot say enough great things about Diem and I would definitely recommend Diem Angie for any of your hair and makeup needs!

makeup services for myself, my bridesmaids and some family members. They did an amazing job! Everyone’s hair and makeup stayed put the entire day. I got so many compliments from my guest of my bridal look. Their work is flawless. Diem is very responsive to emails and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend Diem and her team for any event!!
I could not be more thrilled with how Alex did my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I wasn’t 100% happy with my trial (which is not Alex’s fault, I just really didn’t know what I ...
wanted until I saw what I didn’t want!) After my trial, Diem and Alex both followed up with me regarding what I liked and if there was anything I wanted to do differently. I had a list of things I decided I wanted to do differently from my trial, from the eyeshadow, eyebrows, and type of fake eyelashes that I wanted, to the hairstyle and hairpiece I wanted to use. When I saw the final look on my wedding day, I was in LOVE. Alex incorporated my hairpiece beautifully even though I didn’t have it for her during my trial, and everything honestly was perfection. Even though it was June and I didn’t think it was going to rain, we ended up getting married in a downpour. My hair and makeup stayed absolutely perfect, and my eyeliner didn’t smudge or drip. I was so impressed! I even had guests tell me they didn’t know how my hair still was so perfect during the reception even though I got completely drenched during the ceremony. My bridesmaids also all had only good things to say about how their hair and makeup held up in the rain and throughout the course of the evening. I had six girls needing to get hair AND makeup done, and between Alex, Patricia, and Lesley, they were able to get the entire wedding party ready in 4.5 hours (my first bridesmaid started at 11am, the last one finished at 3:30pm, which is incredible! It was so nice to not have a 7am start time for hair and makeup, and everyone was able to sleep in and wake up well-rested, but also not have their hair and makeup feel rushed) Thank you so much Diem Angie’s team!!!

han I was expecting. On the day of the wedding she still did amazing, doing it exactly like the trial. Everyone who also got their hair and makeup done also loved what they got. Diem was also very helpful through the whole process. She was quick to respond with any questions I had, and she explained everything so it was easy to understand everything that I wa signing up for. I would highly recommend them especially if you are Asian and worried about getting your hair and makeup done!

were outstanding! Two of my friends used her for their wedding and now after my wedding one of my girlfriends is scheduling to use them in November. You won't be disappointed with Diem and Jean :).
Beautiful work. I could not have asked for my make up to be better than it was. I only did the make-up trial with Diem. The trial held up beautifully after an intense leg workout....
There were a few things that I decided to change. My hair was completed by Melissa. I felt that since she had done the style I wanted I didn’t need to do a trial. My gosh the end result of both were exactly what I wanted. Thank you Diem and Melissa!!

ely LOVED my hair and makeup every time. Whether it is Diem herself, or one of her girls, the quality and artistry of both the hair and makeup are impeccable! For each event, my makeup was perfectly blended, not overly heavy and showed up beautifully on camera. My hair stayed curled and place during my entire wedding ceremony and reception. It looked the same as when it was done during the day when I took it down to go to bed, as was the makeup! For my wedding day, we had five bridesmaids and two moms get hair and makeup done. Many of the girls added services like false lashes last minute and Diem and her girls were prepared. We did not go over on time despite the last minute changes. All of the girls are professional, on time, and extremely skilled artists. You will not regret hiring Diem and her team!
My friend used Diem Angie for her wedding where I was a bridesmaid two years ago and I knew I needed Michelle to do my makeup as well. The way she did my makeup was exactly what I ...
liked. So I contacted Diem and she set me up with Michelle and Elisabeth. I ended up having a trial for both myself and my mom which went great. Michelle and Elisabeth were great to have around day of and kept us on or ahead of schedule. They had their work cut out for them with myself, 6 bridesmaids, two moms and a junior bridesmaid but they weren't phased by all the action or the pouring rain they arrived in. Everyone looked beautiful. So far, I only have a couple sneak peek photos but each time I look I think about how my hair was exactly what I wanted (and we made some on the spot tweaks from the trial) and my makeup made me look beautiful but still recognizable as myself. It was perfect. Highly recommend!
HIGHLY reccommend!!

he trial I knew she was going to be perfect. The makeup lasted all day even with a lot of tears (on my end) and she added to the fun environment of the morning.
Diem was great to work with as we set up which makeup artist would be a good match for me and she was always extremely quick to reply.
Thank you both for making our wedding day stress free and for helping me feel beautiful!

Sarah did an outstanding job both during the trial and on the big day. Our wedding photos came out so well, and I know that a big part of that is due to the magic Sarah worked on our hair and makeup.
I recently got married last 10/21/17, and I must say that Diem Angie and her team brought their A game to my wedding day!
My family and I had a terrible experience with a makeup a...
rtist/hair stylist in the past, and needless to say, she scarred us bad. but when we reached out the Diem and her team, they sure did made a whole turn over and proved to us that they were on the opposite side of the spectrum compared to the initial make up artist we worked with.
They hands down, made the day go by so smoothly. They had the time management down, the looks we wanted replicated, and the wedding jitters slowly went away because of the laughter we all shared and the getting ready playlist they had going.
Lastly, when I needed someone to change my hairdo at the reception, Diem was quick in accommodating and made me look like the actual star of the night.
Thanks again ladies, I could never thank you enough!
I look forward to working with you again in the near future! much love!

I originally contacted Diem Angie in early 2017 for my July 1 wedding. Right off the bat, she was super responsive and matched me with a hair and make up artist based on the look I...
was going for – and let me just say, it was a perfect match. :)
When Michelle (make up) and Elisabeth (hair) came to do my trial, I felt an instant connection with them — they were extremely professional, understood the exact look I wanted and were so nice and easy to get along with. These ladies are so talented and it was extremely reassuring knowing that they would make me look like a million bucks for my wedding. On your wedding day, you want to be surrounded by people who can help keep you relaxed, especially when you’re feeling those big day jitters. I’m so grateful that I had these ladies helping me and STRONGLY recommend hiring them for any event.
Diem Angie and her team are fantastic. I feel more comfortable wearing minimal make up on a day-to-day basis and will admit that one of my fears leading up to the wedding was that...
I would look overly made up/aged or not myself. The first question I get from Angie was how I would describe my make-up style and to send over a photo of myself, she made sure to pair me up with an artist that suited my style and could work with my complexion/features. I'm Asian and often times feel that make-up can make me look like a doll so I wanted to be sure that the team I hired would have experience in Asian make up. Diem and Kim made sure that I felt completely comfortable with the look for the big day - and everything turned out beautifully. Kim was warm, friendly and professional! Myself and my bridesmaids all looked beautiful! If I can find another reason to hire them for another airbrushing make up session, I will!
A good friend of mine referred me to Diem Angie Co. Her best friend had recently gotten married and they had used Diem Angie Co. for their hair and makeup services and absolutely l...
oved the team and their work. I reached out to Diem to inquire about her team, their services and to check their availability. Diem was very quick to respond and was even willing to speak with me over the phone and answer any concerns or questions I had. I felt very positive about her team and their services after our conversation and proceeded with setting up a trial.
Diem recommended Abbey for my hair and Patricia for my makeup as she felt they would both achieve the boho/whimsical bridal look I was going for. She was completely right - Both Abbey and Patricia were AMAZING! They were both so friendly and easy to talk to. Throughout my trial, they went step-by-step with my hair and makeup to make sure it was exactly as I envisioned it.
The day of my wedding, Diem sent two additional team members (Bethany and Elisabeth) to ensure all 13 girls would have their hair and makeup done on-time. The team was prompt, professional and extremely friendly/helpful to everyone. They paid close attention to each girl’s hair and makeup “inspiration” photos and made every effort to ensure they were happy with their look step-by-step. Abbey even stayed behind to help each girl put on their flower crown to make sure everything was secure and looked perfect – I really appreciated that! I was so pleased with how everyone’s hair and makeup (including my own) turned out as it was exactly the wedding look I was going for!
I highly recommend Diem Angie Co. for Weddings and/or special occasions. It was truly a great experience working with them!

d when we realized we would need to be starting at 9am. Diem changed my contract so that we could start at 10:30 instead.
All 4 ladies were great! They got there early and started on us right away and made sure to have me finished by the scheduled time. I felt like a movie star!
I got the pleasure of having Nikki from Diem to do my (the bride) makeup as well as my bridal party and my mother.

ese two ladies were. They were personable and professional and so incredible with each and every girl in my bridal party. We are all SO pleased with everything and it just all went so smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better start to a busy day!! Hours later at the end of the night, our shoes were kicked off but the hair and makeup lasted and still looked fantastic! I loved how beautiful and confident we all felt, all due to the expertise of this team. Thanks ladies!!
Diem was amazing! She did my hair, along with 3 other girls, for my wedding.

at I have never been completely satisfied with the past hair stylists and how they styled my hair. However, Diem did an AMAZING job with my hair!! She was able to create an up-do that was exactly what I wanted and it looked flawless. My hair lasted all day and all night. I didn't have to do any touch ups on my own or add any extra bobby pins to keep things in place. Everything stayed put.
She was extremely easy to work with. Diem always replied to my emails quickly and answered each of my questions. She arrived right on time the day of the wedding and was fully prepared with all of her own tools and products. There was a total of 4 girls (including me) getting their hair done and she did each one by herself. She was very efficient and finished each girls hair earlier than expected.
Diem also had a very positive and upbeat attitude. :) She was genuinely interested in my wedding day and kept asking me questions about my wedding. She made each girl feel comfortable about their hair and was able and willing to do whatever they requested.
About a month after the wedding, she sent a follow-up email asking how everything went and requested to see the wedding photos. I felt that that was very thoughtful and professional of her. To me, this shows that even after the wedding day has passed, she still cares about her clients and their satisfaction with her service.
If you are reading this review and considering Diem as your hair stylist, CHOOSE HER!!!! You will be so thankful that you did!
I could not have been happier with Diem Angie. I was lucky enough that she was available after my original hair and makeup person canceled on me two weeks before the wedding. She w...
asn’t available for one of my 3 events but quickly found one of her associates, Melissa who was also great. The three of us did a trial together within a week and I was very impressed with how beautiful her makeup was. I remained impressed with every look she put together throughout my events, each one completely different in colors and style. She was also very flexible and calm throughout the madness, even doing my sister’s makeup and hair. She and Melissa were also always professional and on time, in fact, Diem Angie woke me up the morning of my wedding to get me going and Melissa was waiting to do my reception makeup before the wedding was even over! You can’t go wrong with Diem Angie and you will be so amazed with her work.
Diem and her team were amazing. I worked with Diem first for our engagement shoot and she did my hair and makeup evern better than I imagined and it was no exception for my wedding...
. All of my bridesmaids loved their team and it was so perfect for them to come to us instead of going to a salon. Everyone looked perfect and we owe it to Diem and her team!
I was looking for someone to come to my hotel room to do my hair and makeup before our surprise wedding. Without a bridal party, it was hard to find someone that would be willing ...
to do just my hair and makeup for a reasonable price. When I contacted Diem, she was more than willing to take on my contract. When I called her on my wedding day, she did admit that she had made a scheduling error, but arrived to my hotel just in time and told me of her experience doing makeup and hair for fashion shows, so I knew she'd be able to make me gorgeous in no time. Because of her mistake, she reduced the price of my package and, even with the added stress, I wouldn't change my decision for one minute. She was able to do my hair to frame my face without a consultation, and my makeup make me look and feel like me. She's very professional, very kind, and just a wonderful artist. I highly recommend her to anyone for any function!
