ncredibly unprofessional and terrible at communicating. The day of our wedding she told us Deloris (who is normally the other photographer) was sick and she had someone else filling in. Other lady was with the groom and groomsparty and they were asking for guidance and she told them, “oh I am not a photographer, I am just helping Cristina out today.” We paid for 2 photographers in our contract, so that is incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. The timeline to receive our photos back was 1 week for sneak peek photos, 4-6 weeks for wedding photos. After the 1 week mark, I texted Cristina and asked for a timeline on the sneak peek photos, she said it would be a few more days. A week later I looked at her Instagram and saw she had posted our sneak peek photos 1 day prior to me seeing the photos, didn’t say anything to us and did not email/send us the photos. I had to text her and ask her to email me our photos. We continued to receive auto emails from her asking for referrals and positive reviews, yet had not received our photos. On February 11, I texted and asked her where our wedding photos and video were. No reply. I texted again the next day and she said she thought she uploaded them, there must have been an error and she was out of town until Feb 16th. It took us 8.5 weeks to receive our photos. When looking through our photos, the quality was not great and there was not a photo of our first kiss. After I asked her for our wedding video, she sent it pretty quickly which makes me think she was sitting on our wedding video and did not send it over once it was ready. Before we booked her for our wedding, I had asked her to include vows, speeches and customized audio in our video and she said yes, no problem. We were less than thrilled with the audio as she didn’t listen to any of our requests and the entire video was stock audio and did not include my cousin performing our song from our first dance. After all of this, I texted Cristina and told her I was upset and frustrated with this process and wanted to hop on a call with her, my husband, my maid of honor and me to provide feedback. She replied and said in 10 years she has never received any complaints, my negative feedback was going to hurt her feelings and said they might need to have their lawyer on the call. I was instantly alarmed why she was bringing up a lawyer when all I asked was a phone call. She was incredibly defensive and guilt tripped us via text and phone call. She agreed to hop on a phone call with my husband, her and me and we provided all of this feedback to her in which she remained very defensive and borderline rude. We have little to no photos of us with our guests at our wedding and I told her I didn’t realize I needed to communicate to her that we wanted photos with our guests and her response was “you two weren’t very present during your wedding.” She claimed that the woman she brought with her was a photographer, just not full time and she must have said she was not a photographer “because she was nervous.” I asked for a 50% refund due to the absolutely awful experience we had and she gave us $450 for “the cost of a second photographer.” Long story short, do not book DePoy Studios for your special day unless you want an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience.

ng to have a good relationship with your photographer at your Wedding when you’re so nervous as it is!!
