He was incredibly helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and working seamlessly with our wedding planner to ensure everything came together beautifully. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to begin this next chapter of our lives. riends & family. What we weren’t prepared for was just how painless the planning process would be, the DBG team are absolute event wizards. We worked with Mason Ballard to shape our big day, and we truly don’t have enough kind things to say about his expertise, professionalism, and remarkable ability to provide a calming answer to each of our anxiety-fueled questions. The Gardens were oh so lush in early October, and guests couldn’t stop raving about how stunning our venues were (we hosted a cocktail hour & dinner in the Annuals Garden, and moved inside the Schlessman Family Atrium for dancing & dessert). Thank you Mason, you put us at ease & allowed us to spend a perfect night focused on our loved ones & each other!

id an incredible job making the entire experience run so effortlessly! From putting us at ease as we planned from afar, to helping us strategize ceremony and dinner layouts, we were able to truly enjoy our special day once it arrived knowing we were in good hands all along the way. We rented the Orangery for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. The staff was amazing at setting expectations for the venue, working with our unique ceremony layout, and executing day-of setup. We also rented Marnie's Pavilion for dancing the night away, and it was magical! Our guests loved exploring the Gardens as they arrived, and our photographers had so much fun finding the perfect vignettes for our photos throughout the day. We will cherish our memories at DBG forever and can't wait to visit again!

ant for us to truly have a Denver wedding - so it's rare to have anything quite as nice!). We loved our pick of the Romantic Gardens as we felt we didn't have to spruce it up too much at all - and it really did work out like that! But what made the experience was the team behind it, and specifically Russ. He was organized, clear, and consistently made sure we had everything we needed to feel prepared heading into the day as well as acted as the main point of contact throughout the day of. The venue handles a lot of events (clear in/out times, we had a mini touch up room, and they shut down way more space than we thought they would for us so we didn't really run into the public or regular garden-goers at all - we truly had an awesome corner of the gardens all to ourselves!) and you can tell they've really figured out how to make couples feel taken care of throughout the whole process. So glad we chose it and highly recommend to all!

in the Woodland Mosaic Solarium. It is the best place for a small, intimate gathering and feels private and beautiful. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

nd foliage surrounding the green house added shade from the summer sun, some privacy from gardens visitors and an unbelievable backdrop to all our photos. Though the space appears small we were able to fit 42 of our closest friends and family (including 2 wheel chair users). Sarah was so kind and quick in communicating, she helped us every step of the way (from securing the space to vendors to floor-plans). We can't recommend the Denver Botanic Gardens enough!

three areas were absolutely stunning in the spring and our venue contact helped us select a perfect day a year out from our initial walkthrough with the tulips in bloom as a backdrop. We had high hopes for the venue after our walkthrough but the entire experience truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Kyle did a terrific job from planning to execution in making sure everything went off perfectly. Prior to the day Kyle made sure we always had all of our questions answered and was extremely timely with all inquiries and worked closely with our caterer (Heirloom Catering, who make an amazing team with DBG) and other vendors to minimize our planning stress. We opted to not hire a wedding planner and we couldn’t have had things go as smoothly as they ended up if it wasn’t for the attention, prompt reactivity, and care that Kyle provided! Most of our 100 guests came from out of state and it was very special to be able to share our favorite place in the city with them. We would recommend DBG, Kyle, and the whole DBG team in a heartbeat!

of our guests commented afterward how beautiful it was. We also knew ahead of time that we wanted an intimate wedding and the Woodland Mosaic and Solarium as our location. The weather was fairly warm on our date but our guests didn't feel it because the venue has lots of shade with the solarium and trees. It also felt like a more secluded space, which is something that we wanted. Our wedding date was a very popular Saturday in June, and I believe 5 other weddings were taking place at the same time! Because our location felt so private, we hardly noticed. The only exception being the "golden hour" for photography, where we were taking photos in the Japanese garden and carefully maneuvering around other couples also taking photos. If you want to be the only bride in sight, keep this in mind. We didn't care though. Because we had such a small wedding (~40 people), we chose not to have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. I would recommend one for this venue if you have a larger group or if you don't have a lot of helping hands. We had a lot of help from our families on the day of the event - helping set up things like the gifts/card table and brining in liquor in coolers. We also carried out a lot of items ourselves at the end of the night. This isn't a complaint from our end, as we expected to do some of the coordination ourselves. Just keep in mind that if you don't want to have to do anything on your wedding day, be sure to hire someone for that role. Emily was great at coordinating from the Botanic Gardens side. She gave us helpful information when needed, responded quickly, and we also met her about a month in advance to walk through the site, going over details on things like chairs and tables. In addition, you get an hour walkthrough during the day before your event. On the day of, I booked a touch-up room (included in the price). They have a limited catering list and we were happy to use Serendipity Catering for our food, bartenders, service staff, desserts and floral, which made coordinating everything a lot easier! I highly recommend working with Brie and Raven. Another perk of booking this venue is that you can bring in your own alcohol, which can save money. Negatively, it was a bit of work for our families to haul all of this in and out while in formalwear. Depending on which space you book, you are also only able to have acoustic music. We wanted (and hired) a string quartet, so this worked for us. However, if you want to dance the night away with a DJ, you would need to book elsewhere for the reception or book their indoor ballroom. The best surprise for us was a free couples membership for a year to the Botanic Gardens. We are so excited to have the opportunity to spend more time here, enjoying their many event offerings throughout the year. We can't wait to return year after year!
