nd I knew I wanted a more conservative dress with long sleeves. I also wanted to find a reasonably priced option, knowing that I would just be wearing it for one day. I spent hours looking online at different bridal shops in the Jacksonville area, as well as looking at different designers. When I finally found a dress I loved, I saw it was carried at Debra's Bridal, and so I booked an appointment for my mom and me to go. I loved how they didn't charge for an appointment! When I got there, I didn't end up going with the dress I originally had in mind, but I instead went with Winona by Willowby of Watters Design. It was perfect. It had long sleeves, just enough of a train and the different look I wanted. Autumn helped us at Debra's, and she was so much fun to work with! She and the rest of the team at Debra's were incredibly helpful, too. I got the dress quickly, and I also got my long veil from Debra's. Debra's also recommended a wonderful woman who did my alterations, which were more affordable than I ever could have imagined based on what I heard from so many people. I got so many compliments on my dress, and I cannot recommend Debra's enough to anyone looking for their dream wedding dress.

She actually advised me to sleep on it and made me an appointment for the next week so I could come back and try the dress on again to see how I felt. She brought dresses for me to try that matched what I asked for and then even suggested some based on what me and my party liked. Afterwards, Elise even mailed me a hand-written card telling me how happy she was to help and how excited she was for me, even saying personalized things in the letter.

ss I loved at that point. I'm a crazy picky person with clothes and I had a very strict, lower budget -- I found a dress that I'm in love with and it was under budget! I walked in and Elaine immediately made me feel comfortable and heard. She sat down with me and we went through the usual questions while she took detailed notes. Elaine pulled dresses and let my family and I go through the racks as well. It was immediately an enjoyable, low stress experience. Debra's has such a well curated selection of dresses that I didn't see at any of the other shops in Jacksonville. Elaine really listened to what I wanted and absolutely nailed it with her dress selections (and more importantly, she never pressured me to purchase). As soon as I described what I was looking for, she had a dress in mind -- well, I found out at the end that it was the exact dress I ended up buying! The dress (brand new) was less than what some of the other shops in Jacksonville were charging for pre-worn off the rack and I was able to get it in time for my wedding in 4 months. The dress is so elegant, well constructed and high quality -- it looks like it cost easily 3 times more than what they charged at Debora's! I could go on forever about how wonderful Debora's bridal and Elaine are, but just trust me and go see for yourself.

Lily never pressured me if she could tell I wasn’t feeling a dress and let me try on dresses that I wanted to try on first, and when that number went from 6 to 2 she brought in her suggestions and we went from there. In a 90 minute appointment I was able to try on multiple styles, take pics and said yes to the dress! I stayed way under budget and left enough room for alterations. Luckily my dress fits perfectly so I wouldn’t need much. Debra’s Bridal is THE place to find your perfect we’d dress. They have so many options and numerous designers. Lastly, I love that they keep all of their dresses in bags to keep them clean and not dragging on the floor.

She even stayed over our scheduled time to help me find the dress. Elaine made the best experience for finding a dress and going to other shops was not the same. I didn’t feel pushed to go for a more expensive dress, I was up sold, the dresses I wanted to try on were all there plus others that Elaine thought I might like. re immediately welcomed, the consultant started off by asking about myself and my fiance, then asking about what kind of style I was envisioning and looking at photos I'd saved from online. Afterwards the consultant pulled a couple dresses while my mom and I looked around as well. She then showed me the dress, asked what I liked and didn't like then pulled different dresses based on that feedback. The shop had an excellent selection of a wide variety of dresses. They were very patient when I narrowed it down to two dresses and had to "try the other one one just one more time". I felt zero pressure to hurry up or to buy a dress that same day (although I did because I found an amazing dress!). They also steamed my dress and veil the week of our wedding so the dress was perfect for our bid day!

They helped me choose a crinoline underskirt to help puff up the dress to give me a full A-line look. They showed me veil options but I did not feel pressure to choose one right then. it started. The sale was a Saturday and Sunday only sale and I got the flyer for it the Friday before. I get to the salon to check out the sale and was met at the door by a sales assistant and I told her I saw the door said that weekend days were by appointment only, but I was hoping to look around to see what was on sale. Her response was to me “you can look around but I can’t promise anyone will be help you since you don’t have an appointment” I told her that I understand, I just got the flyer so there was no time for me make an appointment, and that I just wanted to look around. She gave me a very brief and careless run down of the sale section and walked away. A few minutes later, she came back over to me and asked when the wedding was. Once I expressed that the wedding was less than 2 months away her attitude changed. She was like “oh so you need a dress NOW.” And I replied with “yep if I find one I love, I’d buy today.” And then she decided to bend over backwards for me even though she also had another client in the salon. The salon has beautiful dresses and even some amazing sales, but piss poor customer service. I shouldn’t have been blown off when I walked through the door and all of a sudden a priority when they realized I was pretty much a done deal. I bought my dress there regardless of how I was treated because it was literally perfect and everything I wanted, but a little more kindness would have been appreciated.

Walking into the salon I was greeted with a beautifully high energy welcome by the woman who I was lucky to have as my consultant. Elise was simply AMAZING through our entire process! I felt so beautiful in EVERYTHING I tried on haha even the dresses that were a bit more snug I never once felt self conscious about my body thanks to Elise. We tried on multiple dresses and not once was I made to feel pressured or of an inconvenience to her. I loved how personable she is and how engaged she was with me and my bride tribe. This moment was very special having both mom and especially my grandmother present so it was so nice to enjoy this moment without feeling like we were on a time crunch. She stayed within my price point AND gave me great alteration suggestions along with point of contacts for those alterations. Definitely such an amazing experience!
