It's impossible to talk about our incredible wedding earlier this month without talking about Allison and Davis Row front and center. When we had to reschedule our wedding from las...
t August, I was struggling trying to reorganize vendors with new dates and ultimately a new venue. Through a referrals, I kept hearing Allison's name, and now I totally understand why. There wasn't a question we asked that Allison didn't have a good answer to, or get back to us readily with the information. Anything we saw as a potential "problem" she had ways to reorganize it or make a plan B so that everything ran smoothly. I seriously don't know how she does it all. She is also so fun and sweet and keeps you excited through some of the mundane aspects of planning. The fact that she loves what she does really shines through.
The other thing that makes Allison such a stand out, is her connections with every other vendor. There wasn't a meeting we had one-on-one where the other vendor didn't mention how much they loved working with Allison/Davis Row. Not only that, she knocked it out of the park with every new vendor we had to choose. These relationships, on top of her impeccable organization and planning, made the wedding go so smoothly. We couldn't have asked for someone better to with and can't thank Allison and her team enough!
We could not have had our dream wedding without the guidance and expertise of Allison and Davis Row! Allison made the process simple, exciting, and fun. She works hard behind the...
scenes to keep the stressful aspects of wedding planning out of your mind so that you as a couple can focus on what you are most excited about.
Allison gets to know you as a couple - your taste, your priorities, and your personality - and uses her expertise to guide you through what could seem like endless choices. She suggested the perfect venue for us, based on both our style and our budget, that we hadn’t even thought of. Allison gives you the freedom to make your own choices, but always has plenty of options for you to consider. Allison is responsive, organized, and easy to talk to. We trusted her with family issues, logistics, and her own inspired ideas.
Whenever friends ask us for advice about their own weddings, first thing we say is get a wedding planner - and Allison was the best we could have asked for! With Allison you will always feel like her #1 priority. Hiring her was the best decision we made.
It was a true pleasure to work with Davis Row! A few days before the wedding, my mother asked me if I was nervous about anything coming together and I was like NO genuinely not at ...
all, and when I thought about that it was because I knew that Allison and her team were behind us and everything was going to go smoothly because they would make it so - and it all worked out beautifully. I would work with them again for any event!
Allison brought expertise we didn't know was necessary. She kept everything running smoothly and solving all the problems you are warned about but don't believe will happen, plus s...
taved off plenty more we never even knew about. Wouldn't get married again without her there.
For months prior to our wedding, my now husband I had gone back and forth about whether or not to hire a coordinator--he was firmly in the "no" camp, feeling strongly that our venu...
e, which provided their own coordinator, would be able to handle the job. I knew with all we had planned and all the details we wanted to execute, that having our own experienced planner was necessary. We decided the table the matter until we got closer to the wedding date.
I had originally found Allison while in search of a party planner to help with my bridal shower. She reached out to me swiftly and we had a lovely phone chat. It became clear immediately that we absolutely needed her as our wedding coordinator! By the time we had finished our call, I was convinced she was perfect for us. Throughout our call, she conveyed a confidence and professionalism (but also a super friendly demeanor) that put me at ease--the exact feeling I wanted to experience on the wedding day (seriously, it was like talking to a long lost friend!) My then fiance soon met Allison and was just as convinced as I was!
Fast forward to the wedding. The morning of the wedding, I pointed out to Allison what felt like a million little details that needed to be figured out or executed that day. I fully expected something to fall through the cracks with the chaos of the day, but as I looked around the wedding and reception, I saw that Allison had not only taken note of all the details I had hastily mentioned, but everything was in its place and perfect! That's the relief and feeling you want to experience on your wedding day--knowing that all the the things you and your fiance planned and discussed for months were exactly as you wanted them.It was not just us who sang her praises-- the other wedding vendors and our venue loved working with her and the guests even cheered her name during the reception dinner!
Our wedding went seamlessly under her care. We were able to relax and actually enjoy our wedding, as we were so confident in Allison and her abilities. Its a feeling I wish for all couples! Hiring her as our planner was some of the best money we spent on the wedding and I can't recommend her highly enough!! She's utterly wonderful!
We were having trouble thinking about our wedding day as a whole. The little pieces we could do, but bringing it all together and making it fun for the guests was tough. Our weddin...
g was challenging in that it was two different cultures coming together, and Allison helped us navigate that. She saved us by making it all make sense.
Originally, we thought that planners all have very strong opinions and force you to make certain choices. But Allison was so flexible in making it about us. She took our ideas and executed them more beautifully than we could have imaged. People keep telling us to this day, six months later, that our wedding was the best wedding they've ever been to, and that it was beautiful and sophisticated but still felt effortless and fun. The feedback from everyone has been unanimously positive. Jeff's dad, who is usually pretty quiet, even approached us during the reception and said "you throw a hell of a party!"
Allison made us feel like we were the only people in the world that matter and like our wedding was her only priority. She made time for us no matter what. We were so happy to have her be a part of our wedding, because we were able to relax and be fully present in the moment knowing that she had everything under control. When we walked into our reception, our minds were blown by how beautiful everything was. She got exactly what we were going for in ways that we hadn't even been able to articulate ourselves.
We had a wonderful and stress-free time at our wedding because we could trust Allison and her team to make the event amazing! Allison, you're fabulous and everyone should hire you! Thank you!

ecialize in wedding planning. It's a great combination! Having Allison to work with made me feel confident that everything was under control and I felt so much less stressed. I highly recommend her!

s to host our small intimate wedding. A quick Google search yielded Allison’s article on the “A Practical Wedding” website, and I was so thankful to see that what she offered as a wedding consultant perfectly matched my needs. We were thrilled by her friendly, warm and highly supportive attitude in the run up to and on our big day. Things went perfectly from start to finish with Allison’s professional and courteous touch, and we were able to just enjoy the evening with our guests without worrying about a thing. She is sincere and attentive to detail; a true blessing for any stressed out couple planning their big day!

y and compass for us while she made this thing happen for us. She took our morsel of an idea and helped us crystallize and execute our vision in a way that was beyond what we'd imagined. When we first touched base with her about our evening, we were not sure of even so much as the type of venue we should aim for, let alone the million other small decisions we'd need to make along the way. She took the lead on this for us and clearly presented us an array of options with the relevant specs for each step along the way - giving us these varied options without overwhelming us. She handled all the "business" of it all, allowing us to get what we hoped for, and more importantly to enjoy ourselves. She was our partner every step of the way. That said, my absolute favorite contribution of hers was this: my wife and I are not big on sweets, so we weren't particularly interested in the tradition of having cake. But, we weren't opposed to the idea of SOMETHING to take that tradition's place. So, Allison, having listened to us and learned what we liked, took it upon herself to present us with a cheese plate instead of a cake - an idea so perfect we were floored. This all brings me to this: Allison helped us create a night we will always remember. She did so by being creative, communicative, flexible, collaborative and above all else, a friend to us while we worked on this project of a party. We couldn't have done it without her and I'd recommend no one else should either. Thanks, Allison!
Allison is a GEM! We were doing mostly okay with our planning basics, but had hit wall and needed help with finalizing our schedule. Allison heard us out like a PRO, writing down e...
verything we said and suggesting the final details we hadn't yet thought of. Within a day, she had turned all her notes about what we needed to do into not just the schedule, but also a personalized to-do list and contact sheet. I would have lost my mind (and had way more arguments with loved ones) without her. She's wonderful to be around and she knows everything you don't even KNOW you don't know.
