About this vendor
I started doing weddings at the request of my friends, who wanted someone who would care as much about their day as they did (well, close to). I had so much fun and was encouraged by them and family to offer my services to others.
I pride myself on making it fun, memorable, low-stress while capturing the elements you want in your day. I understand that a wedding is a ceremony (with all the pomp and circumstance ), but it is also a personal, intimate moment - and it should reflect you, your partner, and your personalities.
My process can be straightforward or more involved, depending on you. At a minimum, I require an initial meeting (face to face or virtual) to understand your wishes and ensure we are a good fit for each other. If you have everything planned, I can insert myself into the plan and execute my part. If you need guidance, I can work with you to plan out the ceremony and ensure all is set on your special day. I can be as hands-off or hands-on as you'd like, but personally, I find that the better I know you, the better the process goes.
You may wonder if I'm comfortable with a particular aspect of your union...chances are I am. I consider myself a spiritual person and I'm happy to weave in faith-based or cultural rituals into your ceremony. I also believe that if you have found love, whoever that person is, my job is to help unite you and I am lucky to be a part of it.
Finally - if you have a small engagement, are eloping, or are financially constrained, please feel free to reach out for a custom quote. Otherwise, please see my pricing sheet for information about my services.

David was just what we wanted in an officiant for our wedding. We was responsive to questions and had a great, laid back personality. We wanted a nice low key ceremony and that's e...
xactly what he provided. David called our family and friends before hand to get a feel for us as individuals and as a couple so that the ceremony could be personalized. When I started panicking because we forgot to bring the marriage certificate with us, he said it was no big deal and was gracious enough to stop by our house the day after the wedding to grab it. If you're looking for a funny, personal, and laid back officiant, David's your guy.
Dave was exactly what we were looking for in an officiant for our wedding day. He met with us a handful of times before the big day to get to know us, reached out to our family and...
friends to gather intel on our relationship, and also was in attendance to help us run us through rehearsal the night before the wedding. He also came early to practice our handfasting before the ceremony! If you're looking for a down to earth guy who is also extremely professional, Dave is the guy to marry you!
Dave put as much care into the details of our wedding as if it was his own. He asked the next door neighbor for a rake so he could clear the debris from the sandy path leading to t...
he beach ceremony. As I walked down the path I noticed driftwood and rocks that were painted with our wedding date and names that he created the night before. He coordinated with the photographer to ensure we were in the best place for pictures. Our only plan was for the ceremony to be short and sweet. He not only did that, but surprised us in many ways that helped make our day perfect. Dave’s unique humor and sincere words intertwined with our love story throughout the ceremony. I’m grateful he was our officiant and can’t recommend him enough for your wedding day.
David made our wedding so personal and special. He was fantastic to work with and offered great suggestions on how to design our ceremony. It was a wonderful planning process as ...
we came up with an outline of what we wanted, and Dave was more than accommodating to our requests. He took time to make sure that he understood our plan and wanted to ensure he followed through exactly as we envisioned.
As for the actual ceremony, I get choked up thinking about how well it went. He was so heartfelt and genuine and Blew us away with this presence. He even was able to get us back on track with the ceremony when my husband and I accidentally skipped over a part due to excitement and tears. He was able to go back to the part we missed without anyone the wiser!
If you work with Dave, he will work with you to make your ceremony exactly as you envision. He’ll be a great collaborator or will be as hands off as you prefer. One thing I promise, you won’t regret having him officiate your special day.
If I had to summarize Dave's performance as our officiant, I would call it a perfect balance of humor and heart. We gave him a loose guideline for what we wanted and he took it, ra...
n with it and beyond exceeded expectations. We had a small ceremony with two guests at a vacation house on the beach which none of us had been to prior. Upon arrival and seeing the beauty of the location, Dave completely adjusted his speech to incorporate the location into it and pay homage to this place for us. Even thinking about it now, I'm so impressed with how he pivoted on a dime and made an already amazing and personal ceremony plan even better on the fly. Just as an example, he walked along the beach and found some beach glass. It inspired him to use it as a symbol in his speech for marriage. How it, like the beach, smooths and softens your hard edges. He acknowledged the changes he had already seen in us as we joined our lives together. I'm not even doing justice to it, but it was amazing. We still have that piece of glass he found. He also served as our ad hoc day of wedding coordinator, working with the photographer to make sure he knew the plan and helping us all stay calm and coordinated. As if that wasn't enough, Dave secretly decorated the aisle from the house to the beach with hand painted rocks and shells he stayed up late making for us the night before - which was a complete surprise as we walked down and so perfect. I knew Dave would do a good job officiating our ceremony, that's why we asked him. He's an excellent orator, he's funny, he's confident and he's genuine. But what he put together made our ceremony perfect in a way I couldn't have ever imagined. I cannot recommend Dave enough to serve as your officiant. You will not be disappointed. You can trust him take your vision of your special day a make it a reality beyond your wildest dreams.
