D&J DJ Service Sound and Lighting

the wedding day, all the music and audio was perfect! DJ Mike really did a great job creating the party atmosphere we were looking for during our reception. Every guest at the reception was out on the dance floor - even some stubborn family members who don't usually dance! We were so impressed with DJ Mike and we would highly recommend him to any couple that wants to hear: "that was the most fun wedding we have ever been to!"

ess, attentive, fun all around good time. Very professional, tailored everything to our wants and needs, kept the night flowing and made sure our timeline stayed on track in a fun, energetic manner. The music was outstanding and our guests had an amazing time. Hiring Mike made our wedding planning and day so easy and he truly outside himself 10/10

s the different types of way DJs can play music which we were clueless about. Don was able to not only help us find what we wanted in terms of style, but also helped us pick out the different type of music for each part of our reception. For our reception, we had Eric as our DJ and he was absolutely amazing. Eric called me and my husband a few days prior just to confirm everything we had already submitted and hear the little things we wanted to change or add. As the bride, I was all over the place that day so didn’t have an opportunity to meet Eric before we were supposed to walk in. When it came about time to walk in, Eric came out and met with my husband and I, explained what was going to happen and it really helped us feel less nervous. He was an amazing DJ, playing a really great mix of genres that both me and my husband wanted, but also that our guests wanted. Eric did an amazing job and he really helped make our wedding fun and enjoyable. I will be recommending D&J, as well as Eric, to everyone I know who asks for recommendations!

our DJ, Mike made it their mission to honor our cultural traditions and ensure every detail was perfect. We felt heard and respected, and our family and guests were absolutely thrilled at how beautifully our heritage was woven into the celebration. The versatility of this DJ service is unmatched. The music for our ceremony was moving and heartfelt, the cocktail hour was lively and sophisticated, and the reception was a nonstop party that kept everyone on the dance floor all night. Their seamless transitions and ability to read the crowd made for an unforgettable experience – no matter what we asked for, they delivered with skill and genuine enthusiasm. Don Timlin is not only a consummate professional, but also one of the coolest people you’ll ever meet in this industry. He took the time to understand our vision and matched us with the perfect DJ (@djmikechristie) for our event. Mike’s dedication, warmth, and expertise made the planning process a breeze and ensured that our celebration was fun, inclusive, and full of joy. I highly recommend Don Timlin and his team to anyone looking for a wedding DJ who values tradition, knows how to keep the party going, and truly cares about making your event special. Five stars are not enough!

ransitions songs from one to the next. He explained the two ends of the spectrum for if we wanted someone who was more interactive with the crowd or less. We were sold by how much he cared. We were even more inpressed by Don when he accommodated our request for a little spunkier music for our flower guy's walk down the aisle without hesitation. He guided us on what songs are good to use for keeping the dance floor alive and what may lose some people, but he never said no to our requests even if they may have been out there. Let me tell you, I have never had more fun at a wedding. Don expertly read the crowd. He let us scream along to love story by Taylor Swift, congo line around the venue to Fire ball, and have sweet slow dances to catch our breaths. I cannot say enough good things about working with Don and D&J dj service. Thank you Don!!

e together so nicely and our guests keep bringing up how incredible the DJ was. Don was also really great to work with leading up to the wedding (answering questions, providing recommendations, etc.). We were simply blown away by how much he leveled up our event, and I truly recommend Don and his crew to anyone that's starting their search for a DJ!

ended by friends of ours and they knocked it out of the park. Don was incredibly easy to work with, made the process non-stressful, and crushed it on our wedding day. The up lighting was worth every penny, the transitions were perfect, and the crowd was impressed. If you’re on the fence and searching for the perfect DJ, he’s the one. Quality and Service is top notch and was the perfect choice to complete a perfect celebration.

er. We hired Don and his team for our wedding with only three weeks notice. He is incredibly organized and professional and he coordinated with the band that we hired without making me be the go between guy. The DJ really is the life of the party and not only was our ceremony beautiful but the reception was a killer party. Thank you to Don and D&J Service Sound and Lighting.

J was. If you need a DJ I highly recommend D&J DJs!

e music to keep the energy up and the party going! I’ve been to many weddings with a range of different DJ impressiveness, and Greg has been hands down the best I’ve seen. He is hugely talented and I highly recommend for an epic dance party at any event.

e mendenhall inn! The lighting that he had was amazing! And even as the dancing started it was amazing! We had Disney music playing during dinner and he help us with that request! Every single one of our guest came up and told us How much fun they had dancing! Our dance floor was packed all night! He made my wedding night so much more special because of what a great time everyone had!! I would recommend him to anybody! We could not thank him enough!!

and was right on point knowing Greg would be the perfect DJ for our big day.

we had. He read our crowd so well and our dance floor was full the whole night, even our grandparents were dancing! Don added so much to make our wedding the best night we could've imagined and we highly recommend him!

and I totally recommend! Greg called a week before the wedding to make sure he had all the correct songs and knew the correct pronunciation for each person in our bridal party. He introduced all of the dances, toasts, and made sure our night went smoothly. He was a great and fun guy to work with and I highly recommend him!! Many of our guests mentioned that we had the best music and really enjoyed our wedding!

ng what suited us best. He was thorough, helpful, responds almost immediately to any form of communication, and was able to find (and play!) every song we requested. Don read the room so well and played the right music for every moment. He made sure we were having a good time and would change up the music depending on the situation and who was dancing. He handled the speeches and the special dances really well! Overall, Don was the BEST choice and I couldn't have been happier with his work and how our big day turned out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you!!

t what types of music works well with each part of the reception: dinner into dancing! He also has a lot of uplighting to create any atmosphere you want during dinner and party with dancing! He's very responsive to your thousands of emails and very communicative! He allows you to dictate the type of reception and party you want and helps you when your brain can no longer think with decision-making! He's a very personable person and exhibits that on the dance floor! During our reception, he was interacting with our family and friends, making it fun experience! I've still gotten plenty of compliments on what a wonderful job Don did and how much fun the party was! I wouldn't look any where else!

even collaborated with our cousins so that they could perform during our reception. We cannot recommend him enough to DJ your special day. He even had us over to us studio to go through a list of tracks prior to the wedding to make sure he hit our musical style spot on. We had a blast and didn’t have to worry about a thing, thanks don!

ial set up of the contract and a general idea of what we wanted. He paired one of his DJ's with us based on how he thought the personalities would fit and what we were looking for as far as music, so it felt very personalized. Extremely professional and easy to work with. Our actual DJ for the wedding was DJ Steve Carroll, and all I can say is - WOW. What an awesome guy! He called us several days before the wedding to touch base and make sure we were comfortable with everything and that there were no changes to the music line up. He gave us advice on what to do the night of, assured us that he'd make sure the officiant was miked up if needed, and generally just put us at ease in those last few stressful days of tying up loose ends. He managed the uplighting for the ballroom, had the equipment out and up seamlessly. During the wedding, he managed the music for the ceremony and reception and was just awesome. He took all of the cues and helped us along while working with the venue coordinator to make sure we were on time and where we were supposed to be. He made sure to check with us on name pronunciations, played along when I (the bride) fumbled the intro and first dance start, and generally was just an all around awesome guy to have leading the night. There aren't enough stars to give for this! We are so more than happy with the service we got that we will be recommending D&J and specifically DJ Steve to everyone we come across.

ets to know more about you as a couple and the type of people he will be entertaining at your wedding. Because of this, our dance floor was packed. To me, that is going above and beyond! He strives to make your wedding day the best day of your life, and he does it so effortlessly. The only complaint we received about our wedding was that the dance floor was TOO SMALL!! Our guests keep calling to ask for his contact information!! Don was AMAZING!!

the dance floor packed all night. He was a huge hit with our guests and played a great mix of music, he was very easy to get a hold of and definitely has what he does down to a science. I would definitely recommend Don and D&J to anyone I know getting married/hosting a party in the future. Thanks Don!

could have ever imagined...It's been 2 months since my wedding and people are still talking about how awesome Greg was. I would recommend them highly! There isn't anyone better!

love how he has a great, upbeat personality! We got so many compliments on how wonderful our DJ was, and how people didn't want the night to end! He also was kind enough to give my fiance (now husband) and I advice to make sure to take a moment to take everything in together, and also to make sure we eat! He made our wedding reception!!

eek before the wedding, then he handed over our file to the person who would actually do our Djing. Don was amazing from the first meeting. He really knew what he was doing and he showed the skills that his DJ's were capable of. Then he asked us what music we liked and what we were thinking so that he could match us with one of his DJ's. He also took into account our budget and took a couple hundred off so that if we needed an extra hour, we would be able to have it and still be in our budget. He was responsive to my emails and the DJ we got, Steve Carroll, was fantastic as well. I had so many people impressed with him and wanting him to DJ for a party they were going to have. We needed two systems for our ceremony and reception and he did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend him and D&J! They really care about their clients and it shows in their work.

his services. My guests danced the night away including an extra hour! The dance floor was never empty. Don listened to all of my requests, especially my request fro non traditional wedding music! It was perfect I had the best time of my life! The wrong version of our first dance song was played but we didnt mind and Don made it up to us later in the night by playing the correct version.

p to our wedding, I'll tell you 1-2 stars. He's busy and does this as a second job - I get that. But I was not thrilled with the operation of his business and they way he chose to communicate. As a business woman, I have high expectations of how someone follows up with me, especially if I am a paying customer. His consultation session was long but helpful, which was why we booked him. Again, we had so much fun dancing at our wedding and he did a great job emceeing the night. He just was not my favorite person to work with, especially as a busy bride.

work for our guests. He was super funny and interacted with our guests, my friends loved him. The music was great and people danced until the venue closed up at the end of the night.

returned all my phone calls immediately. Don the DJ has a great personality! I would HIGHLY recommend!

o? I decided to meet with him and we clicked on EVERY NOTE! I couldn't believe what all goes into a wedding. He has music down to a ART! WOW! JUST WOW! So, I had to bring it up about the bad review. He calmly showed me that he NEVER did business with her and how he jumped through hoops to answer all her questions but she kept asking more questions. She wanted a DJ with 2 sound systems & up-lighting for 500.00. Well I didn't get that kind of price but he did give me a GREAT DEAL. I guess just like their are bad DJs out there, I am sure there are some Loony brides out there too. Please don't take my word. Meet him & I promised you will realize real quick why he has been rated # 1 DJ in Delaware.

he showed us and knew he was passionate about getting the guests into it. I sent him a list of way too many songs but he didn't say a word and used his judgement to pick out the ones he thought would go over well. I also had him do the music for the ceremony as I wanted some not so traditional songs and he did that perfectly. He was a great MC, he came to us before announcing everyones names to make sure he said them correctly and definitely made the reception flow. We had a fabulous time dancing and he's great at playing off that energy. I would definitely recommend their services!

eir customer service, professionalism, and true knowledge of the business makes these DJs a step above the rest! Greg Aluise was our DJ and he was excellent! The dance floor was packed the entire night, with people raving about how great the wedding music was! We would recommend them to anyone who asked. In fact, my sister booked already for her September 2013 wedding. I will continue to pass the name D & J DJs around among my friends and family! Couldn't be happier!

t was somewhat of a challenge but Don kept the dance floor packed, even though my new husband and I are not big dancers. The entire event went very smoothly and D&J DJ Service was a key reason for this. We had guests of all ages tell us they had a blast from grandparents to friends. Don was able to ensure our entire crowd had a great time!! I would without a doubt reserve D&J DJ services again!

e very pleased! Most of our guests were out on the floor dancing, which was awesome considering the youngest was 2 and the oldest were in their 80s! Greg mostly played music, which we liked - he did not do any games or spend half the night talking! The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that he did not play every song on our list. Also the timing of some of the songs did not fit, like we were taking pictures during one of the songs I wanted to be on the dance floor for, but that part was not really in his control. Overall I would recommend meeting with Don and he can find a DJ that suits your personality - I know he did with us!

ings i've ever been to! I highly recomend him..

d. We then worked with him to create a list of songs and discuss the equipment we would need. Don was professional and fun without being cheesey. He played music that had the whole place on their feet all night. I cannot say enough positive things about D&J DJ Services. Once you talk with Don, you will know what a good decision it is to book him for your wedding!

The music selection was wonderful and he did everything we asked of him which was really nice! Plus his MC'ing abilities are really good. I would highly recommend him!

t they knew what we wanted (which no other DJ service offered to do for us), then matched us with Greg, who was a perfect fit for our taste in music. We liked this company's demo so much that we decided not to give them a specific list of songs to play. We just let Greg do his thing! Greg kept the dance floor packed all night, kept the talking to a minimum (as requested), and was a great guy to work with all around. The price was fair, the service was excellent, and we got a TON of compliments on the music.

ed things to make our night even more special. DJ Super Dan was the one who actually DJ'ed at the wedding and the dance floor was packed all night. The guests said it was a great selection of songs.Thank you Don and Super Danfor making our reception a memory that will last a lifetime!!!

and knew that it was something that was very important to us, not to mention we both have fathers that are VERY into music. Friends of ours used D&J DJ Service for their wedding and had wanted to use Don Timlin but he was not available for their date, we were able to get him. The music selections were great, everyone was up and dancing until the very end of the night, which is exactly what we wanted!! We were very happy with our choice, even if it was more than we had intented to spend on the DJ.
