About this vendor
Doing the same old same has never been our style.
As a local, boutique company, we limit the number of weddings and events we do so that we can focus on quality over quantity. For over a decade we have packed dance floors by blending songs with tasteful DJ skills, taking guests' requests on the fly and reading the crowd. Simply put, we keep the dance party moving!
Energy is contagious, so we always bring an upbeat, outgoing personality to every event we perform. We LOVE weddings and it shows. As your DJ, we will make sure your identity speaks through your music. We will pair your favorite songs with other songs that fit to create a live DJ set that spans your favorite genres and requests.
You are going to have an epic party that reflects you and your guest's unique style.

y loves what he does for work. During the big day, he was exactly what we needed - he hyped up the crowd, had all of the best equipment, and was very flexible with last minute changes. We would recommend him and his team to anyone wanting a stress free, seamless DJ experience for their event!

thanks to him. We recommend him a thousand times over!
We were lucky enough to have Cate as our wedding DJ, and to say she did amazing is an understatement. From preparation before the wedding, to day of, we could not speak more highly...
of her skillset. It is apparent through her work that she has so much love for what she does. From uplighting, to MCing, and mixing, it was an absolute dream to work with Cate. For us, finding someone to work with who loves music as much as we do was so important for our day, and Cate is excellent in her craft. The ceremony was beautifully blended, and our dance floor was never empty. THANK YOU CATE! If you're looking for a true music lover to show up for you on your wedding day, look no further. The entire team at Dancin' Shoes is incredibly talented, and intentional about detail and tailoring to the needs of their clients, anyone would be so lucky to have them on their side for their special day.

t was exactly our experience. Even with all the wind, everyone could hear the ceremony and speeches perfectly. On top of that, Sean made everything feel so personal by playing our favorite songs and rolling with all of our last-minute requests. The music, uplighting, and energy on the dance floor were amazing, and Sean truly gave us the perfect soundtrack to our wedding—we couldn’t be more grateful!
DJ Mike was absolutely excellent to work with.

erent artists from different decades. His knowledge and enthusiasm are ultimately why we chose to work with DJ Mike.
I cannot say enough about how excellent of a job DJ Mike did DJ'ing our wedding. We had multiple meetings leading up to our wedding, and DJ Mike was always exceptionally prepared, he came with energy to all of our meetings, and he always had questions. His experience from DJ'ing many weddings showed clearly, as he was so organized and seemed to have an answer to everything.
On our wedding day, DJ Mike did an excellent job coordinating with our officiant, and a few other guests who needed audio. His announcements and energy were excellent.
Most importantly, the dance floor was jumping all night long. We picked a lot of our playlist, but DJ Mike added in some of his own mix to keep the energy high, and the did an excellent job.
It was truly a pleasure working with DJ Mike and Dancin' Shoes DJ, and I would highly recommend DJ Mike and his team to anyone who needs a DJ for their wedding.
Michael and his team were amazing. He had great pre-event communication for the entire year leading up to our wedding. At our wedding, we had no audio issues, even with changes in ...
the weather and needing audio in multiple venue locations. Our dance floor was PACKED and we had so many people come up to us later telling us how much fun they had dancing. He played the exact music that we wanted, and was flexible with our needs. Finally, Michael helped us hire a saxophonist, who was amazing. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

k with. I wanted to dance the night away and he made that happen! They played all of our favorites while still getting every one up and dancing. Our ceremony was beautiful and he was a big part of that. Thank you so much for making our day so special and unforgettable! Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good time and an unforgettable moment!

and I didn't have to worry about a thing on the schedule. Michael absolutely killed it on the playlist for the dance floor. He did custom edits for our first dance/parent dances that he sent to us prior so we could practice. He made sure to get to know us, our guests, so that he could curate a playlist to make everyone happy. It worked so well, we had all of our guests out on the dance floor all night! We got married at A-Basin and he made it seamless getting all of his gear up the mountain, there was basically nothing we had to worry about. He coordinated beautifully between the venue, photographer, and other vendors. I could not recommend them enough to anyone getting married. I also thought his pricing was incredibly reasonable for the level of service we received. Thank you Michael!!! You helped make it a day to remember!

One of our favorite touches was the custom mix he created for our special dances. He took the time to perfectly cut and blend the songs, and the result was even better than we imagined. It made those moments feel truly personal and unforgettable.
The music throughout the night was amazing, and we received so many compliments from our guests. Most importantly, the dance floor was packed all night long, which was exactly what we hoped for. DJ Mike did an incredible job reading the crowd, keeping the energy high, and creating a fun, celebratory atmosphere from start to finish.
We had an absolute blast, and we are so grateful for the role he played in making our wedding day so memorable. We would highly recommend DJ Mike to any couple looking for a talented, professional DJ who knows how to keep the party going and create an unforgettable experience.

ncluding lights to make the Yurt absolutely magical. We're no music experts and certainly no wedding experts, so having Cate walk us through every step really helped us plan for and have an incredible day. Despite our wedding being only 10 miles from a local fire and having ash raining down on our venue at times, Cate kept calm and kept the vibes going.
Our guests danced all night and we absolutely loved it!
Cate from Dancin' Shoes DJ was wonderful. Each song / cue went off without a hitch. Our guests raved about the dance party during the reception. Cate was a great MC throughout the ...

ter the wedding how they loved our DJ.
Some ways Michael really went above and beyond:
- He helped for a very smooth ceremony, meeting with our officiant and getting him completely mic'd up.
- He deeply understands music transitions and vibes, to appeal to all types of crowds and keep the dance floor popping
- He came extremely prepared, coordinating with our day-of coordinator and other musicians.
If you're reading this, you should honestly just reach out to Michael. I probably looked up like 15 DJs, and we're so happy that we chose Dancin' Shoes.

ine for the day. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing were all in different areas of the venue, and he handled the transitions seamlessly. His uplighting created a fun atmosphere, the energy was fantastic, and the dance floor was full all night. We absolutely recommend DJ Michael and his team to anyone looking for a professional and talented wedding DJ.
We worked with Michael as our main DJ and point of contact, and he was fantastic! He helped us immensely in the planning, had detailed ideas and recommendations when we were stumpe...
d during the process, and was willing to work with our unique request for a live drummer.
The flexibility they showed was very reassuring, and their DJing skills were great! It wasn't just the songs we wanted, but also great transition work and blending that really made things memorable to all of our guests who were partying with us.

. Sean took direction well once guests took to the dance floor. Thanks to him for keeping the party going!
The lighting package and photo booth option this vendor supplies was solid, and we're glad we had that for our guests on the day-of!

We LOVED Mike! Our venue gave us a list of recommended vendors, and they told us straight up that Mike is the only one worth using, and they were absolutely right. If you’re a plan...
ner/perfectionist like I am, you will appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to work with you on specifics. He sends you a very thorough document after your first meeting with him that outlines your wedding day timeline with which music goes where, and then you can fill in what specific songs/genres you would like for each section. We had made our own playlist for cocktail hour, and he was able to make it flow seamlessly and put everything together extremely smoothly. There was always a mic where it needed to be for which speech, and he made sure to tailor the reception music to both young and old guests attending. Overall, just an amazing experience, and would highly recommend using him for your wedding!

to answer all our questions, which made the process feel simple and stress-free.
After we chose Cate as our DJ, her communication remained excellent. She offered great suggestions for music and was also flexible when I decided to handpick every song myself—she blended them seamlessly into the perfect wedding playlist. She also handled all the microphones and sound for the ceremony, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
It’s clear this isn’t Cate’s first wedding—she was incredibly prepared, organized, and professional. She made the entire planning process so much easier, and we’re so grateful for her role in making our day perfect.

ur night. He was the perfect MC, making the whole night feel seamless & easy, keeping guests moving from the ceremony all the way through toasts and the afterparty, removing a huge burden from my husband & I, which let us enjoy the night and feel like guests ourselves. He took our music wishlist and curated the perfect night of dancing that kept our guests on the dance floor the whole night -- even making space for me to get on stage and DJ for a song. It was truly the most magical night for my husband and I - HUGE thanks to Michael.

. The communication leading up to the day was seamless—he took the time to understand our vision, our style, and the kind of energy we wanted for each part of the night.
On the wedding day itself, Mike absolutely nailed it. The ceremony music was perfectly timed and beautiful, the cocktail hour set the right mood, and the reception was an absolute blast—our dance floor was packed all night long! He read the crowd effortlessly, kept the energy high, and mixed songs in a way that had everyone dancing together.
We received so many compliments from our guests about how fun the music was, and we know it’s thanks to Mike's talent and expertise. If you’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also a joy to work with, we couldn’t recommend Mike more highly. They truly made our celebration feel magical.

te mountain meadow, and Cate brought a battery pack, wireless mic, and headset for our officiant so that all of our guests could hear the entire ceremony. Cate was prepared, professional, and her MC style perfectly matched our energy. Our dance floor was packed with all ages all night and we got lots of compliments on the dance party from our guests. Would highly recommend Cate and Dancin' Shoes for any event.

we looked his way. 1000% would use him again and recommend him to any of our friends and family. Oh, and nevermind how cool the lights were. Dancin' Shoes DJ and Lighting absolutely rocked our wedding. Thanks!
We started working with Michael from Dancin' Shoes DJ and later requested DJ Quiggy to be our wedding DJ. From the very beginning, we felt truly understood as we discussed our musi...
c preferences and favorite artists. Both Michael and Quiggy took the time to get to know our style, and we felt confident going into our big day.
On the wedding day, DJ Quiggy went above and beyond our expectations. He expertly mixed a unique blend of 80s and 90s Norwegian pop songs with modern U.S. hits, a challenge that he absolutely nailed. The way he seamlessly combined the Norwegian tracks we love with the English/American ones was perfect. And to top it all off, he closed the night with The Final Countdown, which sent the entire party into a frenzy—what an epic ending!
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ experience, and if we ever need a DJ again, DJ Quiggy and Dancin' Shoes DJ will be our first call. Thank you so much, Michael and Quiggy, for making our special day unforgettable!
Ugh, I hate leaving bad reviews but I have to share that we did not have a good experience with Mike. We paid for one of the highest packages to have Mike as our DJ and not someone...
from his team because he came highly recommended. He was one of our most expensive vendors so we were excited to have him and assumed he would do a great job. We asked him to cut out a part of the song for our procession and he ended up playing that part of the song TWICE. Mike was supposed to start playing our first dance song as we were walking to the dance floor and he waited until we got to the middle of the dance floor to play the song. My maid of honor and the groom walked up to him a few times during the dancing to ask him to change the song to something that was in our playlist and he said he was "working up to it". We were really disappointed with Mike and his lack of awareness to the requests we made leading into the wedding but also day of. I unfortunately highly recommend looking elsewhere for a DJ.
Wow wow wow - we can't say enough good things about working with Cate and Michael! They were professional, responsive, and proactive through the entire planning process and on the ...
day of Cate absolutely crushed it. We have gotten so many compliments and MULTIPLE requests for our wedding playlist because it was banger after banger. Cate was so good at picking up cues from the room and keeping the energy high. Transitions and live mixing were on point, song choice was excellent throughout the entire night, and she helped keep the flow of toasts, dances, announcements, etc. while not taking the focus away from the moment.
She was so quick and efficient with setup and breakdown, the equipment all worked great outside in the rain, and there were zero issues with any equipment including speakers and mics. We got married at Arapahoe Basin, a venue with some logistical challenges (high elevation, need a high clearance vehicle on the service road, wild weather) and she handled it all without a hitch.
TLDR; Go with Dancin' Shoes DJ for the best vibes and a perfect night :)

On top of it all he is a really kind and genuine person who truly wanted the best for us on our big day. 200% recommend booking him or any of his DJs! Thanks Michael!

willing to answer questions as we were gathering quotes, took time to learn more about us to tailor their music choices, met up with us before the wedding day to make sure everything was in order, and went above and beyond on the actual day.
The music was incredible and Cate did a fantastic job taking our recommendations but also reading the dance floor, taking requests, and interacting with guests. But she also did so much more to make our day run smoothly. She helped corral vendors, released tables, did MC'ing, and kept us on schedule. And most importantly, she kept the dance floor packed the entire reception. We've had at least 10 people tell us Cate was the best DJ/dance floor they've seen at a wedding and we couldn't agree more.
Thank you SO MUCH for making our day so memorable. We'd hire Cate + team again in a second!!!
Michael is exactly what you want for your wedding. Many people came up to us and said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, everyone pretty much stayed in the dance floor...

Mike and his team were absolutely incredible! Not only are they super cool, they are excellent at their jobs. The amount of guests that asked who our DJ was and “can I have the who...

Cate was awesome! She kept the flow of events seamlessly and kept the dancefloor packed!
